Beauty in the Eyes of His Beast (A Beauty to His Beast): The Pack

“His ancient beast weakens him. It took a lot of his strength,” Elle said. Dayo shifted to his human form, too. Elle put Dayo on his back then I put Goon onto my back. We headed home but I knew it was far from over.

  The day after…

“How do you feel, bro?” I asked Goon. Kofi was in the room giving Goon an herbal drink to take the weakness away.

“You wolves know that you aren’t allowed to enter another pack’s territory. You all went looking for trouble,” Kofi said.

“You’d rather for trouble to come to our front door? I’m glad we killed most of them muthafuckas anyway. I promised myself that Dash was going to die by my beast,” Goon spat.

“That is not our tradition!” Kofi yelled. Goon threw his cup against the wall. It would’ve hit me if I hadn’t moved.

“Fuck our tradition. It’s not my tradition! It’s yours and the people in Anubi. This is Earth and we are surrounded by other wolves who have agendas to fuck with us. If a wolf isn’t from this pack then his life to us holds no value,” Goon said then got out of bed.

“I can’t believe this! That wasn’t smart thinking!” Kofi said to Goon.

“What’s smart thinking, Kofi? I don’t think you even know because you are stuck here when your home is in Anubi. You let a piece of shit control y’all’s lives back home and you do nothing about it. Ammon is a coward and you stood behind him for many years!” Goon said to Kofi. Kofi growled at Goon and was ready to charge into him but I jumped in the middle.

“Can we not do this right now? Anik is still missing. Izra is missing and Adika is nowhere to be found. We need to bring everyone back,” I said.

“Fuck Izra! He isn’t missing and that’s why I’m not looking for him. He sided with that bitch he was running behind, so he is as good as gone!” Goon yelled. Kofi yanked away from me.

“If you know what you are doing then be my guest. Just know years of tradition just went down the drain because you all wanted to act like a bunch of untamed beasts,” Kofi said.

“Beasts are not tamable creatures and that’s what makes us beasts,” Goon said to him. Kofi walked out of the room then Goon shook his head. “Where is my mate?” he asked.

“I’m right here,” Kanya said. She walked in then kissed him on the lips. “How are you feeling?” she asked him.

“Fine now that I see your beautiful face,” he said, his mood softening. I chuckled then he looked at me. “What’s funny, bro?” he asked me.

“You are bipolar, bro. I will chat with you later,” I said to him then walked out of his room. Jalesa went to open up Kanya’s store and I needed peace of mind. I headed to my oil room then locked the door.

“What bothers you?” the voice asked. I turned around then pushed Ula into the wall.

“You are against our pack?” I asked her.

“Is that the way to talk to someone who saved your life?” she asked me.

“What are you to Sosa?” I asked her.

“I work for him, and not like that. Although I’m immortal I still work as if I’m human. I keep track of his money and things of that nature,” she said. I growled at her.

“How is it that you can enter this house and nobody can detect you?” I asked her.

“I’m not really here but I’m here, almost like a hologram. Meet me at the park in an hour by the beach,” she said.

“And if I don’t?” I asked then she shrugged her shoulders.

“Then you just don’t,” she said then disappeared.

  Anik

I sat still as I watched Sosa and Ula argue.

“Where were you when my club was being ambushed?” Sosa asked her.

“None of your fucking business! Who are you to question me? I’m not in your pack, nor do I care about your pack. I gave you wealth in exchange for access to Ammon and that’s it! You hired me to keep track of your money, nothing more! That weak bitch, Onya, you got working for you, got your cover blown. Someone you thought was dead gave away all your dirty little secrets and now the other pack knows about you. Give it up, Sosa,” she said to him then he slapped her as hard as he could.

“You are a worthless bitch!” he said to her. Ula’s eyes turned black then Sosa flew into the wall, which caused the ceiling to crack.

“I guess you forgot that all I gave you I can take it away,” she said to him.

“Fuck you!” he said then got up. He stormed out of the room angry. He had been angry because Goon’s pack ambushed his club. I ran and hid from him when he came home because I was scared. I hid inside the closet until he calmed down.

Ula grabbed my hand then she and I disappeared. We ended up at a playground by a beach.

“This isn’t over, Anik. I still have to settle my score with Naobi, but Sosa will not come after you again. I have nothing against your pack but I must do what my father wanted me to do. I could’ve brought you home sooner but for my selfish reasons I couldn’t. I was drawn to your aura because you reminded me of my old self. You see something in me that no one else does,” she said then disappeared.

“I don’t know where I am,” I said out loud.

“Anik!” a voice called out to me and I wanted to scream. It was Amadi. I ran to him then hugged him for dear life. He pulled away from me to look at me. “Are you hurt? Did he touch you?” he asked me.

“I’m fine. Please, just take me home to Dayo,” I said.

  *******

The house was quiet when we came home. Amadi pointed his head toward the gym room. I walked down the hall and my palms started to sweat. I hadn’t seen Dayo in over a week. Amadi told me that Arya came home a few days after I left. I had a feeling she found her way back home. It was early and she was in school. I couldn’t wait to see her when she got out.

I walked into the gym room and Dayo angrily lifted the weight. He slammed it down then grabbed his pitcher of water. His back was turned toward me. I was quiet as a mouse as I snuck up on him. I reached out to touch his back then he turned around. His eyes looked down at my stomach then back at me. He pulled me into him then squeezed me. He lifted me up then kissed my stomach. “I’m happy to see you, too,” I said.

“I’m only being nice because you are carrying my pups. You don’t know how bad I want to throw you across the room,” he said to me then hugged me tighter.

“Where were you? Did Sosa really take you?” he asked me.

  “Yes,” I answered him.

“That punk-ass nigga! Did he touch you? He didn’t rape you, did he? What did he do to you?” Dayo asked me then checked my body. He lifted up my shirt then checked my stomach then my breasts.

“I’m fine,” I said to him.

“Did he touch you?” he asked me again.

  “No,” I lied.

“That muthafucka is dead. Where did he keep you?” Dayo asked me.

“I was in a big house, almost like a mansion in the woods, but I don’t remember where. It was in an area that I have not been before,” I said to him.

“Don’t you ever pull that shit again! I’m serious, Anik. We didn’t know where you were. We searched every day for you and came up with nothing,” he said.

“I’m here now, that’s all that matters,” I said.

“How did Amadi find you?” he asked me.

“Someone brought me to him,” I said.

“Amadi knows someone that knew where you were?” he asked me.

“Ula brought me to Amadi,” I said.

“Who is Ula?” Dayo asked me. Amadi didn’t tell the pack about Ula. I felt like I was betraying him by telling Dayo about Ula.

“She is a witch and she is also Naobi’s sister. She has been living on Earth for many years waiting for Naobi to come. She wants to finish her father’s unfinished business,” I said then put my head down. I felt bad because Ula saved me but I knew if the pack knew I was holding information they would’ve been upset.

“Let me get this right. There is a witch who is Naobi’s sister that possibly wants to kill Naobi but somehow s
he ends up at Sosa’s house to free you and she knows Amadi? Amadi ain’t never tell us about a witch named Ula. Hell, if he would’ve mentioned that name I probably would’ve shifted then bit him. What type of name is Ula?” Dayo asked.

“Amadi did something very bad to her and it made her evil. She wasn’t always that way. Sosa was going to force himself on me but she slept with him instead. She brought me back home, Dayo. I don’t want anyone to hurt her,” I said then he snatched away from me.

“She is against our pack!” he yelled at me.

“It’s not the way it seems. She never said she wanted to kill Naobi and she is not against this pack,” I said to him.

“Did she brainwash you? Are you really Anik? Witches play more games than NBA Sports and I don’t trust none of them,” he said.

“Ula just needs Amadi to show her that he cared about her. I don’t believe she really wants to hurt anyone,” I said then he shook his head.

“I don’t care if Amadi writes her a damn letter with smiley faces all over it. She is still an evil witch. Let me guess, she is behind Sosa’s operation. She is the reason he has that much power,” he said.

“Yes, she works for him, but not in that way. She is not connected to his dirty work. But her bringing me back home should mean something,” I said to him.

“No, it doesn’t, Anik. If she wasn’t that bad, then she wouldn’t try to take down her own sister. Saka is gone, what reason does she really have? I will tell you what reason she has, she doesn’t have any but she doesn’t care because she is an evil witch,” he fussed.

“I’m going to help her,” I said to him then he growled at me.

“You aren’t going to do a fucking thing but stay home and rest your body. The pups will be here soon and all of this Dr. Phil bullshit you got going on is dead!” he said to me then walked out of my face. I heard him call for Amadi and I knew it was about to be something.

“What’s going on?” Amadi asked Dayo.

“Who is Ula and don’t lie to me, bro?” Dayo said to Amadi. Amadi looked at me then I looked away.

“She is an old friend,” he said.

“No shit, nigga. I know she is old; she is a witch. How is she your friend when she is sided with Sosa?” Dayo asked Amadi.

“It’s not like that, bro. She saved my life last night,” Amadi said.

“Do y’all two muthafuckas think I’m going to believe an evil witch saving lives and shit? She is after Naobi and you know Goon isn’t going to allow someone to come after his mother. When Goon goes to war it’s never by himself, so therefore, we are against her. Did you know she wanted to kill Naobi?” he asked Amadi.

“No, I didn’t know that. All I know is that Sosa marked her,” he said.

“I will be the first wolf in history to take a Tylenol PM. So you are cool with Sosa’s mate?” Dayo asked him.

“I don’t think that’s his mate,” Amadi said.

“He marked her! If she isn’t his mate, then what the hell is she to him and to you? You attacked him as soon as you saw him. Are you in love with her or something?” he asked Amadi.

“I was in love with her years ago but then I killed her. She started haunting me afterward,” Amadi replied.

“Oh, I get it. Y’all think because I smoke a lot of weed then I’m a little behind, right? Y’all two just saying shit and think I’m supposed to believe it? Arya tells better stories than this. At least her ghost seems real. So, she’s been haunting you? Are you sure that isn’t Camille’s old spirit?” Dayo spat then I pinched him.

“She wasn’t dead when I thought I killed her. I buried her alive and she’s been pissed off since then,” Amadi said.

“Bro, if you were on The First 48 they would’ve caught you in ten damn seconds. You buried someone and didn’t know they was alive?” Dayo fussed.

“He panicked and it was his first time. His beast took advantage of her. He was afraid that word got out that he’s a wolf. She saw him change and he felt like he had to protect you all,” I explained. Dayo looked at me with yellow-brownish eyes. His beast was beyond angry.

“How do you know?” Dayo asked me.

  “I was there,” I responded.

“Were you even born when this happened? Your wolf is younger than Izra’s. You are only twenty years old in wolf years, if that,” Dayo said.

“I wasn’t really there but she showed me a vision of it happening,” I explained then sadness came over Amadi’s eyes.

“You saw everything?” he asked me then I nodded my head.

“I was a monster,” Amadi said then I hugged him.

“You didn’t mean it and she knows that,” I said to him. Dayo stood next to us with his arms crossed.

“So, Amadi is a rapist?” Dayo asked then Amadi pushed him.

“Don’t say that anymore!” Amadi yelled at Dayo.

“Say what? That’s what your story sounds like. No offense, bro, but what you need to do is fix this shit you got going on in your personal life. If she is after Naobi, I hope you stop her before she strikes. We can’t keep battling muthafuckas over shit that has nothing to do with us. Goon’s beast is getting stronger but the power it has makes him very weak afterward. Ammon is here to take your mate, and your scorned lover is against us. That’s too much shit, bro,” Dayo said to Amadi.

“What do you want me to do?” Amadi asked defeated.

“You worry about Umbrella and the rest of us will worry about Sosa and Ammon. Dash was with Sosa last night and Ammon came to Earth with Dash. Ammon has got to be tied to Sosa, too. Let us worry about that and you fix whatever you got going on in your life,” Dayo said to Amadi.

“What will Jalesa think?” Amadi asked us.

“She loves you so I know that she will understand. You and Ula need to make peace, and maybe she will forget about her plans with Naobi. Ula isn’t this way and you and I both know it,” I told Amadi then he shook his head.

“Are we going to tell Goon about this?” I asked then Dayo looked around to make sure Goon wasn’t nearby. He growled at me.

“HELL NO! Don’t tell that angry muthafucka nothing. I saw his ancient beast last night. I thought Kanya was lying when she said how tall it is. That nigga turned into a transformer then bit Dash’s head clean off. If Kanya took that ancient beast, I don’t understand how she got any walls,” Dayo said then my mouth dropped.

  “DAYO!” I yelled at him.

“All I’m saying is don’t tell him nothing yet. Let’s try to fix it first. I’m not trying to see him turn to that again. I’m glad bro was able to save my life, but that beast Ammon and Naobi created isn’t right. Kanya is just as crazy because there is no way a little jackal should be turned on about something like that,” Dayo said then Amadi stifled his laugh.

“Let me get to it then,” Amadi said then walked away.

“That nigga’s relationship is doomed. If Jalesa lets him go to make everything right with Uno then she needs to take her ass back to Anubi,” Dayo said then shook his head. I rolled my eyes at him.

“Her name is Ula,” I spat.

  “I forgot,” he said nonchalantly.

“When are you going to start thinking before you speak?” I asked him.

“I do,” he said then pulled me to him. He gripped the back of my head then kissed my lips. He slipped his tongue into my mouth. His nails massaged my scalp as he hungrily kissed me. He seductively bit my bottom lip. “I missed you so much, Anik,” he said to me then I blushed.

“How much?” I asked him. He pulled me into the hall closet then closed it.

“I can barely fit in here,” I complained as I looked down at my stomach.

“That’s even better,” he said then slid my pants down. He ripped my panties off then tore open my shirt. His sharp teeth clamped onto the middle of my bra then he pulled it away from me—my bra was ripped away. I stood in front of Dayo naked; he hungrily eyed my swollen breasts then growled. His yellow-brownish eyes glowed in the dark closet. I reached out to touch his bro
ad chest and sculpted abs. Dayo’s body was carved from the richest dark chocolate. His eyes looked down at me as his beast lustfully growled; he turned me completely on.

His warm and wet mouth seductively traced the outline of my breasts as he massaged my nipples.

“That feels so good,” I moaned. My hot sex throbbed and I just wanted him to hurry up.

“Please, just enter me,” I said pushing his hand down between my legs. He smeared my wetness over my sex as his hand palmed my pussy. He bit my nipple gently, which almost caused me to howl, but he covered my mouth.
