  LOCATION OF DEATH: Aberford Road, Wakefield

  The female was brought to the hospital after an incident which occurred last night. It is reported to the hospital by the police that the female became violent inside her motor vehicle. There was another passenger, a male, who was attacked violently.

  Upon police arrival, the female was scratching at the window and it appeared she was unable to exit the vehicle. Her eyes were blood shot and a police officer at the scene reported seeing blood oozing from her eyes, ears and nose. Her skin was grey in colour and her behaviour described as erratic.

  Due to her behaviour and police information regarding two similar incidents in Horsforth and Leeds, which resulted in the deaths of several people, the female was shot and killed at the scene by way of a gunshot wound to the head.

  Initially the body was brought to this hospital where a secure unit was seconded by police and the body stored until a government medical team arrived with transportation to take her body away.

  I witnessed the body being brought into the hospital, although I never examined her. I would, in my medical opinion, describe the status of the woman as life extinct, but this is purely from an observational point of view.

  Offers by medical staff to assist the police with the body were met with obstruction and no doctor was allowed into the secure unit.

  I did try to speak with the government medical team who arrived on scene. This approach was met with complete silence. Advice was given to completely sterilise the area from the ambulance bay right through the corridors to the secure unit. Forensic teams assisted staff with the evacuation of these areas and at this point in time this whole area is out of bounds.

  In my years as a consultant within the medical profession I have never witnessed anything so bizarre. I would like it recorded that I believe this incident and the two previous incidents just north of this location to be the start of some kind of epidemic

  CHAPTER 7

  The police were dealing with three dead people, which the authorities believed to responsible for the initial spread of the infection. A fourth person, Michael O’Neill was yet to be traced at this stage. I was able to retrieve this diary written by his daughter Jasmine.

  10th April

  Dear Diary,

  School was pants today. No change there.

  Dad has gone away on business again, he only just came back from some place in Yorkshire yesterday and then he was on a plane pretty much straight away to some place in Scotland. Mum said he was not looking very well and that he should stay at home with us but he went anyway.

  Libby was a bitch at school today. Mum said I should ignore her but it’s really difficult when she happens to be my supposed best friend.

  Best news is that we have been given a whole week off school I think it’s something to do with this virus up north. I hope my dad isn’t coming down with it cos that would be so bad.

  I heard mum on the phone earlier, she was trying to ring Dad at first but he wasn’t answering so she rang Gran and was telling her how worried she was that Dad had been in Yorkshire and that is where the virus was. Thinking back Dad didn’t look very well at all.

  Oh well diary even though I don’t have school for another week I still have some coursework to catch up on boring, boring history as well YUK!

  CHAPTER 8

  An internal flight from London to Glasgow was to spread the infection further to Scotland

  This is the incident report by Security Officer Tennison, present at Glasgow Airport when Flight SA-GLW2 with 210 passengers on board landed. There were 110 casualties.

  The aircraft with 7 crew members and 210 passengers was engaged in a domestic flight from London to Glasgow. Just prior to landing at Glasgow International Airport a report was made to the pilot by a member of the cabin crew of a commotion between passengers at the rear of the aircraft.

  Due to the pilot engaged in the landing of the aircraft it was immediately reported to the security team on the ground who would then meet the aircraft once it had reached the terminal. No descriptions were given at this stage.

  The aircraft came to a stop at the end of the runway, security teams were observing when a frantic message was received over the radio from the pilot that urgent assistance was required, he refused to move the aircraft until security teams were present.

  As security teams made their way over to the aircraft it was observed that emergency evacuation procedures were in process, with cabin crew assisting passengers off the plane.

  The pilot confirmed that there was no mechanical error with the aircraft, his voice was showing more urgency and he requested police assistance as well as members of the security team.

  This information was relayed to the airport police, these officers are routinely armed and therefore it was the decision of the security team that they be present due to the unknown risk posed on the aircraft.

  A few moments later the plane was non-contactable.

  On arrival at the aircraft, security teams witnessed passengers who had been evacuated running away from the scene screaming. Some of the passengers were covered in blood. Two members of the security team moved to the main exit area of the aircraft and were met but a number of mixed male and female passengers who appeared in a frenzied and violent state. They then proceeded to attack the security team for well over a period of five minutes. An urgent assistance call was made to the police who arrived moments later.

  Police officers with firearms were deployed and for the first time recorded at Glasgow, shots were fired.

  Some passengers appeared to be violent and attacked any living person who came close to them.

  I would describe these passengers as hostile, violent, covered in blood and they appeared to have open flesh wounds to their faces and necks. Two police officers were overpowered and I personally witnessed a passenger biting down into the neck of one officer. It appeared to hit a main artery as blood spurted up into the air.

  At this particular point, I was situated inside my security vehicle, I continued to witness passengers from the aircraft act in a chaotic and violent manner. My attention was then drawn back to the police officer who had been previously attacked.

  He appeared to get up off the ground, even though I had witnessed him being attacked and in my view killed. He then started to join in with the attack.

  I managed to assist one of my security officers inside the vehicle, he was unharmed but in extreme shock. I then retreated from the area and made my way back to the main terminal.

  Whilst en route to the terminal I instructed the main control room that I was authorising an immediate evacuation of the airport.

  At this particular time I was unaware that police had already taken this decision and on my arrival at the terminal I encountered more armed police officers and also a number of military units who are stationed nearby.

  My lasting observation was looking back out to the runway area at the stranded aircraft as the frenzied attack continued.

  I witnessed a number of passengers wandering away from the scene in different directions.

  This report is submitted on request of the Airport Security Manager under the instructions of the local police.

  In closing the initial passenger has been identified, via his seat and booking number as Michael O’Neill from London. As this stage no further information is held as to why he attacked other passengers. Mr. O’Neill’s body has not been recovered from the scene.

  CHAPTER 9

  With Michael O’Neill still missing after the incident in Glasgow, these text messages from his wife Emma were raced by the Department Of Communications. It is e
vident from the texts that she is aware of the trouble in Glasgow and is desperate to hear from her husband.

  “Mike you haven’t text. Are you ok? xx”

  “Jasmine has asked when you are coming back from Glasgow? xx”

  “Darling you didn’t look well when you left. Text me xx”

  “You’re starting to worry me now Mike. I have tried ringing you it goes to voicemail”

  “Mike answer your phone. It says on the news that something has happened in Glasgow xx”

  “Mike. Jasmine has tried ringing you as well. We are so worried. I’m calling the police xx”

  CHAPTER 10

  British Radio News is the biggest news radio station in the U.K. When the incident occurred in Glasgow, their most experienced newscaster, Jeremy Davies was sent to the area to file a report. This was his first broadcast from Glasgow.

  The situation here at Glasgow Airport can be described as confused. We have learnt from sources that a passenger on board flight SA-GLW2 started to attack other passengers as the plane came into land.

  Police and security at the scene tried to deal with the situation and quell the panic. We have further reports that passengers then started to turn on each other. It is unconfirmed, but reports suggest that those passengers who were attacked then became violent themselves, showing signs of and yes this is what we have been told, cannibalism.

  One hundred and ten passengers were reported to have died during the attacks, eye witnesses claim they saw these alleged dead passengers get up off the ground and then start to attack other passengers.

  The area was not secured and it is believed that some of the passengers involved in the attack have left the airport perimeter.

  Police are currently trying to bring the situation under control. Government sources were not available for comment, but an emergency cabinet meeting has been called by the Prime Minister in light of the incidents in Horsforth, Leeds and Wakefield.

  Areas of the medical profession are talking of the spread of an infection, though no official statement has been made.

  CHAPTER 11

  Jamie Taylor, a security guard in Glasgow was at work when the mayhem hit Glasgow. Using his social networking feed, Chatterbox, he highlighted what he had heard on the news.

  CHAPTER 12

  As any good reporter would, Jeremy Davies moved from the airport as rioting spread across Glasgow. As he sent his report live, Jeremy found himself closer to the danger than he wanted to be.

  This is Jeremy Davies, live from just outside Glasgow Airport. Rioting is spreading across the city.

  After the incident at Glasgow Airport, the mayhem has spread out towards the industrial area situated just outside.

  There are reports of groups of people causing destruction. Emergency services are stretched to the limit, we have been told that they cannot handle the amount of calls being generated.

  We are based just outside the airport.

  I can tell you that I have seen people attacking each other in the vicinity and I do not just mean fights, I have seen people biting others around the neck, arms and torso areas. I have never seen anything quite like this before.

  Erm…Sorry…We need to move from here, the violence is starting to spread in this direction.

  Back to the studio.”

  CHAPTER 13

  With the infection spreading and riots flaring up in Glasgow, the Prime Minister had no alternative but to call an emergency cabinet meeting. This was the memo sent to every member of the cabinet.

  To: Members Of The Cabinet

  From: Prime Minister Alana Greenidge, M.P.

  Due to the tragic incidents over the last two days in Glasgow, Horsforth, Leeds and Wakefield I have no other choice but to call an emergency cabinet meeting to discuss this situation. I am being advised by the Disease Control Institute that we are dealing with some kind of infection. At this stage we do not know the source, cause or DNA of this infection, but I am assured the best scientists we have are working on a solution as I write this memo.

  The alleged infection is confined to four specific areas, I am not in a position to introduce emergency law nationally. However, the areas concerned will be placed under strict police and medical rule to safeguard those people living in these locations. This is an unorthodox and extreme measure, but one I think you will agree is completely necessary. The emergency cabinet meeting scheduled for tomorrow will be the most important meeting this government has had to hold during our first year in power. I am also taking the unusual step of inviting leaders of the opposition to attend the meeting.

  Ladies and Gentleman, this is without doubt a most serious situation.

  CHAPTER 14

  The National Post reported on news worldwide. As the problems in the U.K. grew, they had no alternative but to alert the rest of the world as to what was going on.

  GLASGOW RIOTS

  The incident at Glasgow Airport where 110 passengers, 3 police officers and a member of the airport security team were attacked has now spiralled out of control, with rioting spreading across Glasgow.

  Police officers from all over Scotland were last night drafted in to deal with the situation, no request of support has been made to English and Welsh forces at this stage.

  It is unknown at this stage what the cause of the rioting is, journalists are being kept away from the area and as we report, government sources tell us that barricades are being constructed in pockets of the city to stop the spread of violence.

  Unconfirmed reports state that people are attacking each other with widespread witness accounts of dead bodies littering the streets.

  The advice to residents is that you should stay insi
de your homes, do not venture out onto the streets until the police notify you that the area you live in has been declared safe.

  LOCKDOWN

  Prior to the riots in Glasgow, three communities have been placed under curfew.

  Horsforth, Leeds and Wakefield are said to be under police control as the government introduced emergency law to these areas yesterday.

  It is unknown the exact reason why the government has taken this extraordinary step, but with these three locations being the scene of tragic deaths in the last few days, there are rumours that the deaths are linked. Although hundreds of miles away these three areas could possibly have a link to the riots that are now occurring in Glasgow.

  CHAPTER 15

  Unable to leave his place of work, Jamie Taylor returned to his social network site, Chatterbox to see if he was able to find out what was going on.
