  Which I guess is the part so many people don’t realize: just how much work goes into one of these books. Not just the outlining or the writing, but the editing. The revising. The re-writing. More revising and re-writing. Cutting a scene here, adding a scene there. Re-writing the same sentence seven different ways until you find just the right one to stick into the manuscript. That’s all a part of writing, and it’s hard and it’s frustrating, but the reward when you soldier through it is so gratifying.
