  Author's Note

I BECAME AN AVID READER of fantasy and science fiction as an eleven-year-old boy when my next-door neighbor, a children's librarian, took pity on my single-parent mom. Bored out of my gourd with no one to play with but good ol’ mom, I drove her crazy until Mrs. Crabtree brought home a stack of books she knew would hook a young boy and give my mom some relief. It worked. Fast-forward to adulthood. I’m still hooked on speculative fiction, both reading and writing it.

While I've been writing professionally for over twenty-five years, it's only been in the last few years that my dream of being a best-selling fiction author has resurfaced with a passion. I still have many good years left in me, but there’s no time to delay. And you, my fine reader, can help me fulfill this ‘encore performance’ by telling your friends about this book and reviewing it on Amazon. While, of course, I would prefer a positive review, I also want you to be honest so that I can improve my craft. It doesn’t have to be long, just truthful. So, before life takes over, why not leave a review at the online store where you obtained your copy of this book?
