Chronicles of Eden - Act VIII

“Bad. Bad. Bad,” the woman grumbled as she advanced on the troll that then tripped and fell back onto the ground. The light swirling down to her hand started to form into a large object that she then took hold of with malicious intention.
“How is it she knows my lord?” Forrus asked while keeping on guard.
The magical light slowly manifested itself into a giant sledgehammer, the weapon appearing to be made of gold and silver with the end having a large sharped axe blade on one side and the other being blunt like a mallet. She slowly twirled the massive weapon around in her hand, the weight obviously being nothing for her to handle, before holding it down at her side while the troll slinking backwards away from her turned pale in fright.
“Nobody touches him,” the woman whimpered while lowering her head. Her eyes were hidden behind her bangs while she appeared to become distraught in remorse. After a while of silence she then looked to the troll with a face that the monster swore was even more terrifying than any Darker One could show. Winding back with her giant weapon the woman let loose a furious cry that echoed out across the kingdom.
“NOBODY TOUCHES MY BIG BROTHER!”
Before anyone could speak she slammed her hammer down onto the troll, the single strike causing not only the monster to practically liquefy and splatter to either side but also a colossal explosion that blasted outward in a frighteningly large arc. Hollia stared in shock as she witnessed what looked to be like a volcano erupting in her fallen home, the massive shockwave rippling out and pulverizing dozens of the dark monsters instantly while all the buildings in its way were toppled and thrown to the wind as the ground blasted apart violently. From the sky over Ruhelia the monstrous wave of destruction could be seen expanding out from the single bright light that shined from within the land, razing everything in its path without pause.
“What in Eden?” Tabitha breathed out in shock.
“Wow,” Scay nervously said.
“What did she just say?” Forrus questioned.
“Her… brother?” Rulo wondered.
Sasha eyed the apparently strong newcomer cautiously, seeing the winged woman slowly standing back upright in front of the wave of dust, debris, and bloody limbs that was rolling away from her single attack, then turned to Daemon in question as he was watching the monster with no reaction to what she just did.
All around the area the dark horde was staring at the sight in astonishment, having seen the new fighter annihilate not only a great many of their own with a swing of her hammer but also having destroyed a large section of the fallen city in the process. She slowly brought her weapon back to her side while her wings relaxed and lowered slightly, a deep breath being made before she turned towards everyone who were only watching her in silence now. The way she gave off a warm glow, the way she used her magical weapon with overwhelming power, and the sheer magnitude of the dark aura she was exuding. It was abundantly clear she was no ordinary monster, something Hollia and Daemon knew very well.
“I can’t believe I’m seeing one,” Hollia marveled. “She’s actually standing right there, before my very eyes. She’s… real. They are real.”
“What are you talking about?” Tabitha asked while keeping on guard from the powerful newcomer. “You know what she is?”
“You don’t? Look at her. It’s painfully obvious what she is.”
The winged figure slowly turned to face everyone while having a smile on her face, the look doing nothing to mask the cold feeling behind it. Tabitha eyed the monster over carefully, seeing the white feathered wings, the golden light emanating from her, the white flowing dress, and then slowly showed a look of wonder as she questioned it herself.
“Hold on, are you suggesting that she’s… an angel?”
“Correct,” Daemon answered, with the girls turning to him in surprise then to the holy monster herself as she began walking towards them. She casually twirled her hammer around in one hand while looking around at all the dark monsters that were remaining still in her presence, all of them seeing the raw power this one possessed and fearing her even more than Daemon and his followers.
“Who exactly is she?” Rulo carefully asked.
“Valentina,” Daemon said, with the angel then turning her gaze to him with a smile that appeared more genuine though still with a hint of malevolence behind it. She giggled then winked at him while her wings fluttered ever so slightly behind her.
“Hello again, big brother. I missed you so much.”
Chapter 11
The Holy Maiden
In the world of Eden there were stories of a unique class of monsters, those known as ‘Angels’. Although they were monsters and thought to possess the same lustful desire to breed with human men, the tales of these rare creatures spoke of something different compared to that of others. They were also divine protectors of the world, said to come to the aid of those in great need and restore peace and order to wherever they may appear. It was often debated if they were in fact monsters at all, since they appeared to be guardians of mankind rather than oppressors. Only females were ever reported to be seen, and they did possess inhuman strength and magic, but it was said they always acted kindly and lovingly to those around them, and never engaged in a fight even if provoked.
However, these were just stories after all.

“I love you, big brother!” Valentina squealed while nuzzling her face against Daemon’s chest, with him merely staring over her head with a blank expression as the angel giggled and hugged him with one arm while the other held her massive hammer down to the side. As she acted like a love stricken adolescent with lightly fluttering wings everyone in the street was quietly staring with confusion, shock, and absolute rage. Of course a few of them couldn’t remain silent for too long.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Sasha yelled while clutching her sword tightly.
“Don’t you dare hold onto him like that!” Forrus ordered with bared teeth.
“You have a sister?” Scay asked with a curious smile.
“Who’s an angel?” Tabitha questioned in puzzlement.
“Who is this man anyway?” Hollia wondered in awe.
“Get off him!” Rulo demanded as she tried to shove Valentina away. Her push however did nothing to even budge the angel as she continued snuggling against Daemon while hopping up and down on her toes or even gain her attention.
“I love you so much!” Valentina giggled with her breasts rubbing against him repeatedly. “Did you miss me? I missed you! When I saw you were heading this way I just had to come say hello! Aren’t you glad to see me? Aren’t you?”
“I said get off him!” Rulo repeated as she literally tried to push away the angel with her entire body weight. All the girls watched in surprise as she was unable to move Valentina at all, even with her bobbing up and down on her toes and a large orc leaning against her.
“What the hell is this bitch’s deal?” Rulo grunted. She dropped her hammer and grabbed Valentina by the waist, struggling to pry the overzealous angel away from Daemon to which she was having no luck in doing so.
“How strong is she?” Forrus asked as Sasha ran over to Daemon, struck her sword into the ground, then grabbed the angel by the wings and struggled to even budge those as Valentina continued to pay them no mind in the slightest.
“I don’t think you should be doing that,” Tabitha warned shaking her head. “Did you not see the amount of power she used a few seconds ago?”
Rulo and Sasha growled with frustration as they tried to pull Valentina off of Daemon who at this point was just looking up with a slight amount of irritation on his face. Forrus quickly ran over and grabbed Valentina’s arm to pull it off of Daemon, her efforts having no effect as the angel appeared to be completely unmovable even with all three girls trying to yank her away.
“What are they doing?” Scay asked tilting her head to the side.
“They can’t even budge her,” Tabitha said in awe.
“Let go of
him this instant!” Sasha ordered.
“Unhand him you wretch!” Forrus snarled.
“Goddammit, why won’t you move?” Rulo snorted.
“Valentina,” Daemon finally said, with all the girls stopping and turning to him instantly.
“Yes my love?” Valentina cooed.
“Get off me.”
The angel blinked then quickly backed up with a weak laugh, knocking away the other girls that she still failed to notice had been hanging all over her.
“Aw, but big brother,” Valentina pouted while holding her hammer behind her back in a timid fashion. “I missed you so much. I really did. Honest.”
“And stop calling me that,” Daemon said crossing his arms with a raised eyebrow at her. “How many times do I need to remind you we’re not related in any way? I have no siblings, especially not an angel such as yourself.”
“But you are my big brother, you need to be,” Valentina whined hopping up and down. She then showed a lecherous grin while holding a finger to her lip. “How else can we engage in the sinful act of incest if we’re not related? Therefore you are my brother, my big brother.”
“Dammit, just who the hell is this anyway?” Rulo grunted as she readied to attack the angel.
“My lord, how is it you know this creature?” Forrus questioned while tensing up as well.
Sasha grabbed her blade and swung it out to aim at the angel while hissing through her bared teeth.
“Nobody touches my master like that!”
“Sasha,” Daemon plainly stated, however before a correction could be made Valentina’s eyes quickly turned to the reptile girl with a cautious glance.
“Master?” Turning to face Sasha the angel slowly eyed over the furious monster before glaring at the girl. “Did you just call my big brother your master?”
“Enough of this crap!” a troll yelled out from behind.
“You can all die together for all we care,” an arachne hissed.
“She’s too bright,” a goblin sneered while holding an arm in front to block the radiant light from the angel. “She needs to be put out.”
“Time to send you back to heaven!” a gremlin cackled as she threw an alchemic pouch at Valentina from behind. It struck her back and exploded into a fiery cloud, with Daemon and his girls quickly jumping away while the smoke and flames engulfed the angel and obscured her radiant light. The crowd of dark monsters laughed and sneered at the sight while the swordsman watched the billowing haze with a casual eye.
“Oh no,” Scay whined. “They blew up your sister.”
“Not quite,” Daemon said shaking his head.
From the cloud of smoke rays of bright light slowly pierced through, the laughter and taunting from the crowd then dying down as they saw the angel standing perfectly unharmed with the smoke lifting away from her. Valentina continued to glare at Sasha while she had not even a scratch or smudge on her from the explosion. Her white outfit remained untouched while her feathers didn’t have a single ruffle in them.
“How strong is she?” Scay wondered.
“I’d say very,” Tabitha reasoned. “All the more reason not to piss her off.”
“Well?” Valentina said with a sharp eye on Sasha. “Did you just call my big brother your master?”
“Yes, I did,” Sasha asserted. “Because he is! So keep your filthy hands off him!”
“I said not to piss her off,” Tabitha reminded her. “I don’t think she wants to hear you saying such things.”
Valentina growled quietly with a scowl on her face, her eyes giving off a slight glow that was more haunting that anything. Sasha stood her ground while preparing to attack the angel, her anger towards the newcomer more than enough to cloud the details about the raw strength her opponent possessed in comparison to herself.
“You think… you are his?” Valentina slowly asked in spite. “You think you belong to my big brother? Wrong. Wrong. So very wrong. I’m the only one he has, the only one he’ll ever have.”
Sasha narrowed her eyes while her tail slowly waved behind her, the other girls watching as she seemed to become even more enraged at those words as she hissed behind her clenched teeth.
“Sasha,” Tabitha cautioned. “Maybe you should think carefully about your words right now.”
“I am his,” Sasha declared. “He is my master, he is my world, and there is no way I’m going to let anyone, angel or otherwise, take him from me! If you dare to rest a single finger on my master then you’ll have to answer to me!”
“Or don’t,” Tabitha sighed shaking her head.
“We’re his bitches, not you!” Rulo snorted loudly.
“You will not be engaging in any act with my lord, I will not allow it,” Forrus threatened.
“Are you crazy?” Tabitha called out in disbelief as Valentina slowly glanced around at the three fighters. “She’s going to slaughter all of you.”
“Yeah, we’re with him too!” Scay cheered as she quickly slithered over to Tabitha, wrapped her body around the neko’s, then proudly held her dagger up in the air with a deranged smile on her face. “FRIENDSHIP! HAHAHA! Stab everyone together!”
“What the hell are you talking about?” Tabitha cried out as she tried to free herself. “Don’t get us mixed up in this, and stop squeezing me so tight!”
Valentina’s lips twitched in her scornful grimace, an annoyed growl faintly coming from her mouth while one of her wings flinched slightly. She looked from one girl to the next that claimed to be with Daemon, her breathing becoming more sharp and ragged as it was apparent her anger was only rising by the second.
“You all think you belong to him? That you belong to my big brother? No. No. No. That is not correct. That is not correct at all.”
Her hand clenched the handle to her hammer tightly, eyes glaring at the girls while her teeth became visible in her harsh scowl. Before anyone could make a move a goblin jumped over behind the angel and drove a dagger into the woman’s side, to which the blade instantly broke off and left not a mark on the angel’s skin. The goblin stared at the broken weapon in surprise then slowly looked up to see Valentina turning her head to glare at the monster.
“Wha… why you no bleed?” the goblin shakily asked.
“Is she immortal?” Tabitha nervously said.
“Close,” Daemon merely replied with.
Valentina slowly turned to face the frightened goblin and leaned closer to the monster with a piercing stare that had nothing but death seen in her eyes.
“Do you mind?” she politely said. “We’re in the middle of a very important discussion right now.”
The goblin stumbled back and fell onto her rear, staring in shock at the angel who twitched slightly with her rage growing. Valentina’s hand trembled with her hammer for a moment before she lifted the weapon overhead with a furious yell. Striking the mallet down she destroyed the goblin along with casting out a destructive wave that annihilated the side of the street and dozens more of the dark monsters. Hollia watched in awe as the angel singlehandedly killed droves of the fiends with a mere swing of her hammer as well as a large portion of her ruined city.
‘The legends about them were true. Their power is… it really is…’
“Holy shit,” Tabitha said in disbelief. “Just how strong are angels anyway?”
“They’re the strongest,” Hollia answered, with the other girls turning to her in surprise while Daemon continued to watch Valentina with a blank expression. The angel roared in her anger and again swung the hammer down, the strike literally causing a ground shaking explosion as the shockwave pulverized everything in a large arc away from her.
“What do you mean they’re the strongest?” Forrus questioned.
“I mean they’re the strongest monsters in existence. Not even Darker Ones can hold a candle to them. Their holy magic is unmatchable, their strength cannot be rivaled; they are truly the most powerful beings in Eden.”
“So they’re Darker Ones themselves?” Tabitha asked.
&
nbsp; “No, they’re in a class all their own,” Hollia marveled as she saw the radiant light coming from the infuriated angel. “I’ve only heard stories about them. They’re supposedly the rarest of all monsters in Eden. It’s said wherever they appear peace and tranquility will be bestowed upon the land, that they will vanquish any and all evils in the world they rest their eyes on. Only those who are extremely fortunate will ever catch a glimpse of one. Daemon, how in the world did you come to know this one personally?”
“Who do you think gave me this sword?” Daemon said, with all the girls turning to him in wonder.
“She’s the one who gave you that weapon?” Forrus exclaimed.
“She’s the one to blame for you being untouchable now?” Sasha growled furiously as she glared at Valentina. “That accursed blade being in your possession was her doing?”
Valentina arched back with a powerful roar, a burst of energy rippling away from her in all directions that caused those it washed over to feel a very cold chill run down their spine. Turning her deathly glare back onto Sasha the angel growled loudly with her wings arching up behind her.
“How dare you claim to be my big brother’s! I’ll never allow such filthy beings as yourself to taint him with your mere presence! You’re toxic! You’re foul! You’re below that of even dirt! I won’t stand for this! I won’t!”
In a flash she shot towards Sasha with her hammer held up high, racing across the street in a mere moment before appearing before the surprised reptile girl with a vicious scream.
“TO HELL WITH YOU!” Valentina roared before she swung down towards Sasha’s head.
“Valentina, stop!” Daemon called out.
Sasha watched with wide eyes the glowing hammer coming down towards her face before suddenly stopping a hair away from impact. A pulse of energy flowed away from the abrupt halt, blowing dust away in a large wave behind Sasha who tried to force a stern expression to hide her anxiety. She could actually feel the raw power that would have certainly killed her if the attack had hit resonating through her body. Everyone in the street saw Valentina holding her large weapon over the reptile girl after having stopped instantly, the angel pausing for a moment before slowly looking back to see Daemon walking towards her with a glare.
