Chronicles of Eden - Act VIII

She picked out a book and looked at it curiously while Falla sighed and flew down towards the others as she didn’t seem to find any of the books to be remotely appealing. Luna examined the cover of the tome which looked older than the others then fluttered up onto the top of the shelf to sit. Opening the book she showed a puzzled expression as she turned page after page of strange writing and symbols. From her cleavage Pip looked at the pages with a curious eye while Luna scratched her head in confusion.

“I can’t read any of this,” she pouted. “The writing even looks way different compared to the others. Can you read it, Pip?”

“I can’t read any of it,” Pip whined waving her arms around. “What does it say? I want to know!”

Luna sighed with a troubled frown as she tried to make sense of the unusual writing. Each letter and symbol seemed angular and was written in a very dark ink, almost like the words were burned into each sheet. Turning another page Luna jumped a bit as she felt something brushing against her wing. Looking to the side she saw Star watching her with a curious smile while her twin tails were swaying along the butterfly’s wing.

“Star? When did you get here?”

Star meowed and leaned over, examining the book Luna was holding before her smile slowly faded. She gently rested her hand on the page and drew it down, eyes deeply gazing at the letters while she mewed silently.

“Can you read this?” Luna asked.

Star slowly nodded and took the book from Luna, looking over one page then another before she closed the tome and set it down on the shelf. With a forlorn look on her face she remained silent, her head lowered while her ears were drooping low.

“What’s wrong? What did that book say?” Pip asked.

“Was it a bad book?” Luna worried.

Star nodded and glanced to them with a low meow. Luna looked at the book with an uneasy frown then smiled at Star and shook her head.

“Then I don’t want to read it. If it’s a scary book I don’t want to know what’s in it.” Standing up she fluttered her wings and looked around at the shelves below them. “Let’s find another one to start with, Pip. One that won’t be so scary to read.”

“Let’s try over there,” Pip suggested pointing over to an aisle of bookcases nearby.

  “Why over there?”

  “Why not?”

“You have a point,” Luna giggled before she flew off. As she did Star meowed with a curious expression at seeing the butterfly fluttering over towards the books with Pip. The jinx then turned her sights back onto the tome next to her, carefully resting a hand on it for a moment before opening it once again. Lying down on her stomach she went over the pages of the book, remembering the words well as she had read them before in her life.

“Very good, Star,” the woman politely praised. “You understand the writing now, don’t you?”

Star meowed happily as she sat at a long table with a book opened in front of her. Her lovely dress and clean hair complimented the elegant library she was in, with the moonlight coming in from the tall windows while softly lit lanterns all throughout the large hall kept it bathed in a warm light. Star turned a page and mewed with a gentle smile on her face, her tails slowly waving around behind her as she read the tome filled with angular writing and symbols.

“I’m so proud of you, Star. You’ve learned the language well in such a short amount of time. Such a good girl you are.”

Star softly mewed as she adored the praise she received, something she always sought everyday living in her home. She felt a hand petting her on the head and brushing her hair, an excited purr escaping her lips as she relished the attention she received.

“Such a good girl,” the woman cooed. “You’re my good girl, aren’t you?”

Star nodded with a meow as she enjoyed the sensation of being petted. With a serene smile on her face she looked down to the book and turned a page. Even though the tome wasn’t a happy one to read she found no fear or aversion to it while being pampered in her home. If anything that only made reading the darker volume all the more comfortable and something she wanted to do.

“I’m so proud of you, Star.”

Turning the page she continued to read without a care in the world, tails gently swaying behind her while she felt the woman’s hand brushing her long hair.

“You truly are a remarkable soul in this world.”

Another page was turned as Star continued to read the book, a relaxed purr coming from her mouth as she felt so safe and sound from the woman’s touch.

“Now then, it is time for your next lesson.”

Flipping the page once more Star then stopped as a look of surprise came over her. The lamps in the hall dimmed down until they went out completely, leaving only the pale moonlight from the windows casting the room into a haunting darkness. However even with the loss of light Star could see perfectly in the dark, her eyes beholding a large blood splatter now covering the open book and part of the table. Shakily she looked to her hand as she held it up, seeing it covered in blood with some dripping off her nails.

“You’re going to be my perfect kitty,” the woman spoke into her ear. “Aren’t you, Star?”

“Star?” Alyssa asked, snapping the jinx back to reality. Star quickly looked around with a surprised mew before seeing Alyssa next to her. “What are you doing up here?”

Star blinked then took notice that Alyssa was actually next to her this high up. She glanced down to see the witch was sitting on her staff sideways, hovering high above the floor next to the jinx while watching the cat with a raised eyebrow in question.

“Are you okay?” Alyssa asked again. Star turned to her with a quiet mew then back down to the book, a puzzled look coming over her as she saw a few wet spots on the pages now.

“Why are you crying?” Alyssa wondered, with Star then holding a hand to her cheek and feeling it was wet from tears. The jinx quickly shook her head and closed the book, hopping down onto the side of the shelf with one hand and sliding the tome back into its resting place. With a graceful leap she jumped away before vanishing and reappearing down below on the ground. She rounded a bookcase and vanished from view with her tails waving behind her, leaving Alyssa hovering at the top of the bookshelf on her staff with a puzzled expression.

“What was that all about?” she said before floating around to where Star had put away her book. Pulling it out with her magic she levitated the tome before her, eyeing the pages within it curiously before a look of wonder came over her.

“Was she able to read this?”

“Alyssa,” Kroanette called up to her. Looking down she saw the centaur holding another book with a loose page in hand and Squeak smiling weakly up at her. “A little help?”

“Okay, that’s ten books now,” Alyssa sighed as she put away the one she had taken out. “Would you just take her out of here or something?”

Flying down on her staff the witch passed by the centaur and took the book and ripped page from her before soaring back over to the table where a stack of tomes that needed repair were set. She placed her staff next to the counter and breathed out with annoyance at all the damaged books her innocent co-mate had accumulated.

“What was Star doing up there?” Triska asked glancing back to her.

“I’m not sure,” Alyssa replied looking up at the top of the bookcase. “That cat is a strange one.”

“Squeak, why?” Kroanette whined as the ant girl tore a page out of yet another book to examine it.

“Would you knock it off?” Alyssa barked out at her. “Just because I can put the pages back with magic doesn’t mean you can keep ripping them out.”

Squeak smiled weakly at her and shrugged with a squeak before jumping a bit as a slap echoed out. Looking behind her she saw Falla smirking at her with her open hand held low near the ant girl’s rear where she had just spanked her.

“Are you just trying to be a bad girl or what?” Falla questioned.

Squeak stared at her in silence with a curious lo
ok, her cheeks blushing slightly while her antennae twitched above her head. After a while a sly smile came across her face as she turned towards the butterfly girl, causing Falla to back up a bit with a nervous giggle as she saw the look in the ant girl’s eye.

“Um… that’s not going to make you behave, is it?”

Squeak shook her head before quickly chasing Falla down the aisle with a mischievous smile. As the girls raced out of sight with Falla laughing playfully Triska slowly shook her head with an amused smirk on her face.

“Well, that should keep her busy from ripping more pages out of books.”

“Yeah,” Alyssa agreed as she realigned a torn page in its tome. “She’ll be too busy tearing off Falla’s clothes now to bother with the books.”

“Those two really do get along well, don’t they?” Kroanette mused trotting over to them. “Have they always been so close?”

“Far from it,” Triska said shaking her head. “Falla didn’t really get along with any of us when we first met her. Squeak often had to threaten Falla to keep her away from Daniel.”

“Yet now they’re friends and even lovers.”

“Triska and I didn’t exactly get along too well when we first met,” Alyssa pointed out as she held a hand down on the page of the book, a soft glow coming from her palm as she slowly drew it down along the tear which magically sealed as she crossed over it.

“And now look at how we are and what we do,” Triska giggled while eyeing her sword again. “Seems the more we hate each other at first the stronger we feel towards one another later on.”

“So by that logic,” Kroanette dryly mentioned. “We’ll all be furiously making love to Clover one day, won’t we?”

Triska and Alyssa blinked then looked up as they envisioned themselves in bed with a naked bound and ball-gagged Clover, the elf whimpering with a timid expression as she weakly shook with her arms tied behind and her pigtails swaying about. Clover whined around her gag before Triska grabbed her by the chin and pulled her closer, having a devilish smile on her face while Alyssa was gripping the elf’s ass with a hungry eye.

“You’re not going anywhere, little elf,” Triska chuckled with a twitch of her eyebrow.

“Bend her over,” Alyssa ordered before licking her lips. “I’m not waiting any longer for this.”

“We’re going to eat you up,” Triska purred as she bent Clover down in front of her, the elf whimpering up at her with wide eyes while Alyssa started licking between her cheeks with eager murmurs.

Kroanette curiously watched as Triska and Alyssa seemed to become lost in thought for a while before they both shuddered violently.

“Thank you for that image,” Alyssa flatly stated as she started mending another book with her magic. “Just when I was beginning to forget about this morning again.”

“Kitten has a better chance of joining us with Daniel than she does,” Triska muttered. She paused for a moment then groaned before looking to the side. “That was just an example, calm down. You’ve got a ways to go before that happens.”

Sitting at their table Daniel was holding Specca in his lap as she cuddled close to him and read her book, her gentle smile and the way her tail was wrapped around his waist showing she was enjoying every moment with her mate. And he too was loving time with his girl, from the way she seemed to fit perfectly in his arms to the light fragrance of the sea she naturally had in her hair. He also noticed that he could feel her love more easily than before, the nixie’s aura seeming to resonate closely with him now without even having to be focused on.

“I really needed this,” Specca quietly sighed. “I feel so happy in your arms, Daniel. This was a wonderful idea.”

“Well it was either this or take a nice bath with you,” Daniel reasoned with a shrug. “But since we already had our bath this morning I figured this would be the next best thing to cheer you up.”

“I wouldn’t mind bathing with you again,” Specca giggled with a timid glance to him. “That’s always an option I would never turn down.”

“I’m sure you wouldn’t,” Daniel chuckled before giving her ear a quick nip. She squealed and squirmed around in his arms while he held her close. “Still, I love this just as well. Holding you like this feels so right. I can actually feel your love when you’re near me, it’s so warm and beautiful.”

“You can actually feel it?” Specca asked. “Are you focusing on my aura to get me worked up right now?”

“No, I’m not focusing on my magic at all. I can just feel your love naturally.”

“Are you sure you’re not doing anything?” Specca mused with a coy smile. “Because I am getting a little excited right now, and from what I’m sitting on I think you are too, Daniel.”

Daniel chuckled as the nixie gave a small bounce on his lap with an aroused murmur.

“My body is honest, that’s true,” Daniel admitted while gently caressing the girl’s hips. “After all I do have a half-naked girl sitting on my lap. But I meant what I said, I can feel your aura more clearly in my mind now without even having to focus on it. And not just yours. The other girls as well, it’s just becoming so easy to detect with all of you.”

“You really are amazing, Daniel,” Specca purred as she began lightly shifting her hips around on his lap. “To be able to become so skilled with your magic the way you have, you just take my breath away. And to think you’ve learned to use your aura sharing spell so quickly, it’s simply incredible how you’ve accomplished that.”

“I have a family to protect now,” he reasoned as he gazed around at his mates. As he drew his eyes over each of them he could make out a small glimmer of the stars he saw in his mind that represented their auras each time he focused on their love.

With Triska admiring and examining her legendary weapon Daniel could see a glittering radiance of bright white light that seemed to emanate from her. When looking at Alyssa the fiery red of her star came into focus, the witch’s aura pulsating slightly as she used her magic to fix the pile of books on the table one at a time. For Kroanette her yellow star was seen as she watched Alyssa with a gently swaying tail, the light appearing sunnier now compared to before last night. Turning his gaze over to the side he saw Falla and Squeak racing out from behind a tall bookshelf, the ant girl tackling the butterfly down to the ground before mercilessly tickling her with playful squeaks. Squeak’s brown star glowed softly in his mind just as Falla’s purple one did, their love seeming to pulsate as well while Squeak tickled Falla all along her sides and the butterfly tried in vain to push the strong ant girl off her.

“And that family gives me the power I need to protect them,” Daniel said as he watched Luna landing down next to her sister and giggling at seeing her playing with Squeak again. Pip was smiling brightly with a lustful eye as she watched Squeak and Falla’s breasts bouncing about while she herself was nestled in Luna’s. Daniel smiled in content as he saw Luna’s bright green star in his mind, this one always seeming to be bursting with radiant light that complimented the butterfly’s endless joy she possessed. And Pip’s pink colored star also appeared in his mind, something that proved that even though she was attracted to all the girls in his harem, and very likely anyone else that had large breasts she could lay her eyes on, she felt a strong love towards Daniel all the same.

“You really are the knight I always knew you to be,” Specca complimented.

Turning his eyes onto the nixie he saw her smiling at him with adoring eyes from behind her glasses, her blue star in his mind showing the girl’s aura which burned brightly with love for him.

“I don’t know how you managed to become so adept with an aura sharing spell,” Specca softly praised as she leaned closer to kiss him. “I guess you’re just that amazing, Daniel.”

“He’s not using an aura sharing spell,” Twilight chimed in.

Everyone jumped and looked around quickly as they heard the woman’s voice in their heads, with Specca squeaking in surprise and holding onto Daniel tightly.

p; “Twilight?” Daniel called up. “When did you get here?”

“I’ve been watching you all for a while now, Daniel Sorres. I didn’t want to interrupt though, you all seemed to be having an enjoyable time together.”

“Twilight, you scared me,” Specca said as she caught her breath. “Please don’t sneak up on us like that.”

“I’m sorry, Specca. It was never my intention to give you a little fright. By the way, I couldn’t help but notice Squeak’s been playing a little rough with my books.”

Squeak hopped with a squeak then smiled nervously while slumping down.

“I’m putting them back together now, Twilight,” Alyssa assured. “Sorry about her. She’s… curious.”

“Haha, it’s quite alright. I can see you’re fixing them now, no harm done. Though I must insist, Squeak, that if you wish to know more about books you have one of your mates read them to you. Please stop taking the pages out of them.”

Squeak nodded with a remorseful smile as she and Falla stood up together.

“Twilight,” Kroanette spoke up. “You said Daniel isn’t using an aura sharing spell. You mentioned something along those lines after you offered this home to us. What did you mean by that?”

“Just what I said. Daniel Sorres is not using an aura sharing spell. I overheard Specca praising him greatly for such a feat, and I felt the need to correct her as what he is doing is far more extraordinary and worthy of much greater praise.”

“What does that mean?” Daniel asked. “I don’t understand, I thought what I was doing by channeling their love for me was an aura sharing technique. Alyssa showed me the spell diagram on paper too.”

“I’m sure she did show you what an aura sharing spell looks like, however an aura sharing spell does not transfer abilities and traits from those it draws power from. It would not grant you the ability to run as fast as a centaur or be as strong as an ant girl.”

“But… then what is it he’s doing?” Alyssa wondered. “An aura sharing spell is the only thing I could think of to explain him using our love for him the way he has.”
