Naughty Neighbors

Zak gripped her waist and went at her then with sequenced pounding. “Don’t move sub. Ah God. Don’t you dare move, baby!”

Squeezing her eyes shut, she imagined him behind her, looking on as his cock slid in and out of her ass, watching as her hole not only enveloped him but swallowed him whole.

“Zak!” she screamed out. “Fuck me! Oh please, Sir! Harder!”

He short-fucked her then and his body moved faster and faster. A few times, he smacked her ass and the spanking only added to her orgasms.

He jerked behind her. “Yes, ah yes my sweet sub. Oh damn woman, you’re so fucking tight.”

“Mmm, Sir,” she crooned, feeling as if she were about to collapse. “I never in my life imagined it could be this good, so—”

A door slammed and her eyes popped open. “Oh my God.”

Zak quickly pulled out, resting his forehead on her back as if he needed a moment to gain his bearings. “What the hell is he doing here?” His voice was dangerously low.

Kara shuddered. Her ragged breath came out in spurts.

How much had they heard? Worse still, how long had they stood there and watched her in the throes of pleasure, in the clutches of passion?

Carly turned away. Kemper looked at her dead on.

Zak scurried to his feet. “Don’t you believe in knocking?”

“Kara?” The color washed out of Carly’s face when she turned to the room once more. “What were you thinking?”

A hoarse cry fell from Kara’s chest. “What the hell are you two doing here?”

“I should ask you the same thing,” Kemper said.

“As if you have a right!” Kara’s blazing fury shook through her body. To make matters worse she was still tied and bound, slumped in a doggie-style position on the contraption Kemper had sent her as a gift.

All things considered, it probably wasn’t the best time to let him know how much she appreciated his thoughtfulness, even though she was tempted.

Zak stood in front of her with his hands blocking his cock. “Can you give us a minute?”

“What the hell are you doing to my girlfriend?” Kemper stalked him then.

Kara tried to wiggle one way or another in an effort to free herself. “Why aren’t you on your honeymoon?”

“Psht!” Carly exclaimed, though she didn’t bother with a true reply.

Kemper clenched his fists and glared at Zak. “If I were you, buddy, I’d get lost.”

“I’d listen to him,” Carly said.

Kara grabbed an opportunity to glare at her best friend. “Just who are you to tell us what to do?”

“The friend who loves you,” Carly assured her. “I’m concerned about you, Kara. Clearly, you aren’t thinking straight.”

“I’ve never been so sure and confident in my life,” she snapped, turning her attention to Zak. “Don’t go, Sir.”

“What?” Carly and Kemper chimed in together.

“I’m not going anywhere, baby,” Zak said, grabbing his towel and wrapping it around his waist. He then pulled a sheet off the bed and covered Kara’s nude form. Dipping his hands under the coverlet, he blindly fumbled with the shackles in an effort to free her. “The two of you should wait downstairs. We weren’t expecting company at four-thirty in the morning.”

“We?” Kemper pushed by Zak and glared at Kara. “And what is this Sir shit?”

Kara glared at Carly and thinned her lips, silently pleading with her friend to take Kemper and go. Instead of aiding her, Carly asked, “What in the hell is that doohickey you’re wearing?”

Kemper bit out, “I sent her all these things so she would get used to the idea of Domination and submission!”

Carly scowled. “You?” She shoved her balled fists against her waist. “You didn’t get very much bang for your buck now did ya?” She glanced around the room. “How’d all this work out for you, babe? Hmm?”

Kemper’s face turned blood red. “I think she’s got the hang of it.”

“Considering I don’t receive gifts like these and I’m the one who loves the lifestyle, maybe you should ask yourself if you gave the right presents to the right woman. If I’d been in a contraption like that, you can bet your sweet ass you would’ve been the one coming in from behind!” Carly threw up her arms and stormed out of the room.

Kemper ignored Carly and stood over Kara, acting as if he were taking in the whole scene. “Have you been seeing one another long?”

  “No.” Zak supplied the answer.

“I didn’t ask you!” Kemper never looked away from Kara.

“Obviously not,” Kara bit out. “The package just arrived today.”

“Be a gentleman and wait downstairs for us,” Zak said.

“I am not talking to you!” Kemper yelled, his muscles bulging around his short sleeves. He acted as if he were seconds away from taking that first swing.

Kemper had always been slow to anger, but when that ugly beast rose to the fore, he went berserk. She didn’t want to witness a fight. She just wanted Kemper and Carly to go.

“Please wait downstairs.” Kara couldn’t believe this was happening. “Please.”

“Why would you do this?” Kemper dragged his hand from forehead to chin. The slow act brought on a noticeable transformation. A furious expression replaced the face of betrayal and confusion.

Zak placed his hand on his shoulder. “You heard the lady. She wants you to wait—”

“Get your hands off me!” Kemper screamed, shrugging away from him. “You don’t want to go up against me, buddy!”

“She wants you to wait downstairs and you can do that now or I can call the police. Take your pick.”

Kemper laughed and another demeanor emerged, one Kara hadn’t seen in the past. He glared at her like he saw straight through her. “He doesn’t know. Does he?”

“Know what exactly?” Zak knelt next to her again and finished unbuckling the restraints. He helped her to her feet. “What don’t I know?”

Kara met Zak’s curious gaze, but she couldn’t speak. She knew what Kemper wanted her to tell him, but she couldn’t bring herself to say the words. If she voiced them then, she would feel like such a kept woman.

She studied Kemper and gauged his behavior. That was precisely what he wanted her to feel like in that very moment—a kept woman, somebody’s whore, and his little puppet.

Slow to regain her balance, she grabbed the bedpost and held the white linen sheet to her chest. Her bottom was sore with the recent reminder of what she’d done and with whom.

Both men stood side by side. She couldn’t hide from either of them. She couldn’t run, because where would she go? Carly returned to the room with her arms crossed. She was equally pissed, but Kara couldn’t figure out why.

At the moment, Kara didn’t care. Carly had known she was infatuated with her neighbor. Hadn’t she suspected something like this would eventually happen?

“She won’t tell you, so I will,” Kemper said, stomping across the room to the walk-in closet. Swinging the door wide, he shook his finger inside. “Those clothes are my clothes. This is my bedroom. This is my condo.” He swung around and waved his finger in Kara’s direction. “And that woman—regardless of what happened here—is my fucking woman!”

  Seventeen

After a brief argument commenced and no one emerged the winner, the smoke eventually settled. They then reached a quick decision. Zak would go home and clean up. Kara would shower. Carly and Kemper would wait downstairs and they would all sit down and talk like reasonable adults once everyone had a chance to cool off.

When Zak returned, he wasn’t surprised to find Carly downstairs, alone. He stood in the foyer for a moment and debated on how to proceed.

“I should thank you.” Carly motioned him to the den. Clinging to a glass of red wine, she added, “I don’t want to share him anymore. For the record, Kemper isn’t the kind of man who will agree to share Kara with you.”

“You’re making early assumptions,” Zak said ca
utiously. He wasn’t taking a second seat to Kemper Kapertone or anyone else.

“Anybody could’ve walked in that room and easily picked up on the connection the two of you have.” She took a drink. “Like I said, I should thank you, so you have my gratitude.”

“You’re putting the cart before the horse.”

“Or the ass before the Dom,” she suggested, laughing.

Zak was disgusted by Carly’s lame attempt at humor. She apparently thought her reference was positively hilarious.

Zak stared at two empty bottles of wine on the bar between the kitchen and den. One he could credit to Kara over the course of a long evening. The other, Carly must’ve downed in less than an hour.

“Oh come on now, Zak.” She inched closer and slanted her eyes. “You are Zak. Aren’t you? I mean, I didn’t pay attention to where you went when you left here but I’m assuming you’re the neighbor in unit 201.”

He didn’t ask her how she knew. He could guess. Kara had openly flirted with him and admitted to having a crush. He would assume she’d mentioned him to Carly, too.

“You’re very guarded as well.” She sat on the far end of the sofa and crossed her legs.

Even though Carly was a good looking woman, he wasn’t at all tempted to start at her ankles and work his gaze up her body. He was too concerned about Kara. He wanted to go to her, rescue her. He longed to reassure her. If Kemper put her out on the streets, she had a place to go. She could move right in with him.

His cock stretched in his slacks as he considered sleeping beside her every night. Trying to toss aside the recent memories, he turned to the stairs. “I’ll go check on them.”

“Sit down, Zak,” Carly snapped, pointing at a chair across from her. “You have no idea what you’re doing here. Do you?” She forced a smile and her head wobbled a bit. Clearly drunk, she slurred each of her words. “Kara was young when she met Kemper. She’s still young. We both are. Just because you showed her what it was like to be with a Dominant, don’t expect her to dump Kemper and become your submissive. It won’t work out that way for you.”

Zak took a seat. Since Carly seemed to feel the need to predict their future, he wanted to listen. He might learn something.

“You’re a quiet one.” She traced the rim of her glass. “Kara likes those strong, quiet types.”

  “You’re jealous of her.”

“Jealous?” She laughed. “No, I don’t envy her at all now. Maybe just a little before I started sleeping with Kemper too, but not now. I actually spend more time with him than she does.”

“Then you should be glad she has other interests.”

“For the record, Kemper and I didn’t get married.”

“I heard.” He’d listened to the breaking reports on the radio while he’d showered. The rumors had stirred a whirlwind of counterattacks from the Kapertone camp. Publicists had worked diligently through the night in an effort to put the gossip to rest.

“Has this thing with you and Kara been going on for a long time or—”

“You’ll have to pump Kara for information.”

“Interesting choice of words.” Carly leaned forward. “You are a handsome devil. I’ll give you that, but I’ll also give you a head’s up.” She moistened her lips and stared at his.

Flirting came easy to women like Carly. Zak had been with enough of them to know. He’d also performed in enough lifestyle clubs to believe that after a woman watched him fuck, for some reason, they wanted a turn, too.

He wasn’t that great in bed, but something about the way he fucked a woman enticed curious onlookers. Was Carly coming on to him? Yep, he was pretty sure she might have been. Then again, her man was upstairs alone with his woman.

“He’s great in bed, but he doesn’t have your...well, you couldn’t exactly hide what you’re swinging when you stepped out from behind the plate, now could you?” Carly fluttered her eyelashes. “He wants to dominate his women but he isn’t a true Dominant. I’ve been with enough Doms to know the difference. You’re the difference. Aren’t you, Zak?”

He stood. “I need to check on Kara.”

“She’s fine and you don’t need to intrude. Kemper and Kara have a history, as I’ve already explained. They’ll sort things out.”

“If they do, I’ll have no other choice but to bow out.”

“And if they don’t?” Her gaze bore into his. “What if they don’t, Zak? What do you plan to do with my best friend? Make her into your little plaything? Parade her around town like a trophy so the men in this town will admire you for such a pretty find? What do you want with Kara? And what do you think you can give her that Kemper hasn’t already offered her?”

Zak was pissed. He felt like Carly was stalling him so he wouldn’t go upstairs, but he also felt her pumping for solid information, data she would later hand over to Kapertone. If Kemper Kapertone wanted to know his intentions, he could man up and ask him.

  He’d damn well tell him.

“Kara and I haven’t discussed the future. There wasn’t a lot of time after we saw those toys Kemper sent her.” He let Carly stew on that for a moment. She’d clearly been upset when she’d discovered Kemper had sent Kara sex toys. “If Kara will have me, I do plan to offer her something she hasn’t had in the past. Unlike the man who was in her bed first, I plan to be faithful. I plan to be true. Perhaps Kemper can now offer the same to you.”

  Eighteen

“I’ve been dreading this moment for the last ten minutes,” Kara said, stepping out of the bathroom dressed in jeans and a snug red T-shirt.

Even after what Kemper had witnessed, Kara still took his breath away. A wet lock of hair clung to her cheek and he still remembered the first time he saw her. She’d been so energetic and full of life. He’d admired her from a distance before he approached her and when he gave her that first interview, it had been all he could do to stay focused on relaying game highlights. Their chemistry had always been like a magnetic force.

Even now, he was drawn to her like a moth to a flame, but he had a feeling she’d consider that pull in a more sinister manner—like a mosquito swarms water, for instance. Her body language easily suggested she wasn’t his for the taking. His heart was breaking, shattering beyond repair.

“I know I haven’t been fair to you,” Kemper said. “While you were showering, I took a hard look at myself in the mirror. I don’t like who I see in there anymore.”

Kara wrung her hands then sat on the bed. He couldn’t help but notice the faint smile that appeared then quickly diminished when she eyed the bar and cuffs still situated on the floor.

“Do you love him?” He stuffed his hands in his front pockets.

“Why would you ask me that?”

“Do you?” He needed to hear the truth from her. “I think it’s a logical question, all things considered. You aren’t the kind of woman who would let just any man into her bed, let alone do the things you’ve obviously allowed him to do.”

“Don’t do this to us, Kemper,” she pleaded.

“What am I doing, exactly?” Kemper had made himself a promise. He didn’t want to rip into her. He didn’t have that right, especially after the way he’d more or less neglected her in the past six months.

They’d been together intimately once in that time. What had he been thinking? Had he really thought having phone sex every now and then would sate her sexual appetite? Did he really believe she wouldn’t find someone else?

Yeah, he mused. He never once thought she’d cheat on him. If, in fact, that’s even what she did.

“I’m sorry I hurt you.” He cupped her cheek. “I know this is my fault. I accept responsibility. Now, we just need to move past it.”

Kara took a deep breath and pulled away. “What if I don’t want to move past it?”

Kemper felt his forehead tighten. “Of course you do, Kara. We’ll go look for another place tomorrow. You’ll tell Mr. Neighbor that we’re in love and that will be that.”

  “And if I don’t?”

“What do you mean if you don’t?” He balked at that. “Of course you will. I understand why you slept with him. You thought Carly and I had married, so it’s understandable. You retaliated with just cause, but now it’s over.”

“It’s not over,” she said, barely audible.

“Of course it is. And I forgive you.” He glanced around the room. “I’m not sure why you chose to share the things I bought for you with him, but I’m not going to hold that against you either. Considering how I caught the two of you, I can only assume everything happens for a reason. I have to look at this from another angle. You now know what I like, what I want.”

“Kemper, it’s over.” There was such finality in her voice.

“It’s not over, sweetheart.” He forced a smile and tried to touch her again, but she moved before his fingers brushed her cheek. Clearing his throat, he quickly added, “It’s only just beginning. You’ve learned from the old guy. I should be thanking him instead of wanting to kill him.”

The floor squeaked and let them know they weren’t alone. Their heads turned to the door.

“How long have you been standing there?”

“Long enough to know you think your woman was in bed with an older man.”

Kara flashed the old guy a smile then ducked her head and lowered her eyes.

“Maybe I should talk to him,” Kemper said, feeling that rage rising inside. “Isn’t he your Dom now?”

“Kara?” Her new lover seemed to want an answer.

Kara’s eyes met Zak’s. He seemed to give her permission when he tilted his head and that alone infuriated Kemper all the more.

“Are you really going to throw away what we have for one night of sex?”

Kara took a deep breath, patted his arm, and then walked to the door. “You and Carly make yourselves at home. I know you must be exhausted after a hard game yesterday and an unexpected flight. We’re all tired. Maybe tomorrow this will make sense to you, Kemper. I hope so.”

“Just where do you think you’re going?” He followed behind her but realized then his effort was pointless. He couldn’t say anything to change her mind or delay the game. The game in question wasn’t one where the other players would welcome him on the field. In fact, looking at Zak and Kara then, he quickly understood the pain a true penalty inflicted upon a man in love. Unlike football, his mistakes had cost him far more than he’d been prepared to pay. And unlike his favorite sport, there were no replays in matters of the heart. “Kara?”
