The Royal Pursuit

“You’re not coming back to Raz?” Hathor asked.
“Not if Optima will have me.” He looked at her.
“I would be delighted to be your wife.” She blushed, her hair pink.
“You know, with Athen gone, we’re going to need two people to take care of researching other species from various planets when Hathor begins training our children,” Ann told Stacey and Kent. “What do you say? Would you like to live on Raz and see what this universe has to offer?”
Stacey looked at Kent. “What would we tell our family and friends?” She looked back at Ann. “Can we still visit them for the holidays?”
Ann nodded.
Kent paused then said, “We’ll just tell them we accepted a top secret job in another country.”
“It would be great to explore new worlds.” Stacey grinned.
“We accept,” Kent decided.
“Great! You won’t be sorry,” Hathor said.
Ann sighed in satisfaction. Everything worked out very well. She was glad to have Stacey in her life again. She had missed her friendship. Most of all, she was grateful she got the chance to be the Queen of Raz and Hathor’s wife.
Hathor was right. When they first met, he told her that being a queen wasn’t boring. In fact, it was the most exciting job she could imagine having. She went over to Hathor and hugged him, enjoying the fact that they would share many more adventures together.
Quick Afterward
Eight months later, Ann gave birth to Amanda. Two months after that, Athen announced the birth of his and Optima’s firstborn son. The Nicals, greatly encouraged by this, began their search for other humans in the galaxies to marry.
Leader Paff and his wife, Halima, announced the arrival of their twins, a boy and a girl that same year. Second Commander Jaz and Guard Falon had a girl one year later.
Stacey and Kent discovered Stacey’s pregnancy a year after that, and they thoroughly enjoyed discovering new things about the universe and had no regrets about leaving Earth.
