The kiss lit Paige's body on fire. The feel of his lips against her neck sent her mind reeling with desire and she moaned. Gripping him tighter she tried to push her body as close to his as she could. She didn't want any space between them. His lips found hers once more and he kissed her again. She opened her eyes and stared up into his.

What stared back at her shook her to her very core. When she tried to scramble out of his grip he held her tighter. Chris's arms were like bands of steal closing around her chest, they made breathing almost impossible. She turned and called Will. He stood just behind her but he looked straight through her.

"Please, Will, help me!" She pleaded, her voice hoarse with fear and the lack of air driving her to the point of panic.

"You're mine, Paige. He can't help you." Chris whispered against her ear. His words seemed to paralyse her. Lifting his arms from where he held her he snapped something cold and tight around her neck.

She knew what it was even without seeing it. The feel of the collar was different to the one that Will had put on. The sharp edges dug into her soft skin and when she finally regained control of her body and tried to pry it from her it just dug in further.

"He won't want you now..." Chris's voice held a mocking tone.

Tears dripped down Paige's face as she dropped to her knees and scrambled to Will. Her hands grabbing at his she turned her tear stained gaze on him. "Please, Will, you promised... Help me!"

The look he gave her was one filled with scorn and hate. She recoiled away from him and the collar dug in further cutting her air supply off completely. Something pulled her away from Will but she had no air to even scream. Kicking and silently crying out she was dragged back into Chris's arms...

  ***

"Paige, ssshh, it's alright, it's just a dream." The sound of Will's voice pulled Paige out of the nightmare. It was his arms wrapped around her, not Chris's.

Sweat had caused her hair to cling to her and her body ached all over as thought what she had gone through had really happened.

Will turned her around in his arms and pulled her body tight in against his. "It was just a dream..."

His words soothed her and Paige sucked in a deep shuddering breath. She noticed her heart rate was slowly returning to a more normal beat. It was just a dream and yet it had felt incredibly real.

"You're shaking." Will whispered the words against her hair and Paige felt herself relaxing a little bit more.

"It was intense. I'll be fine in a minute."

"Was it about him?" Will tried to keep his voice low and soothing but he was unable to keep the acid from his tone at the mention of "him".

"Yeah. I think it was just after the day... Everything that happened. It was all pretty scary so it's just my body's way of trying to calm down."

Will started to laugh as he held her close. "Your body has a funny way of trying to calm you down."

Paige couldn't help but smile. It was pretty unreal and more than a little bizarre but she had always reacted in this way. Stress gave her nightmares.

Moving out of Will's grip she slid to the edge of the bed. He gripped her wrist and tugged her body back towards his.

  "Where are you off to?"

"I won't get back to sleep now... I thought I'd go and make some coffee."

He cocked an eyebrow at her the look in his eyes slowly darkening. He was lust personified. Everything about this man made her want to surrender to her base needs. To just give in and allow him to take what he wanted.

Sucking in a deep breath once more she shook her head. If she gave in every single time he looked at her like she was dinner then she would never do anything else. In the back of her mind Paige still thought that she might get away from him and all the issues involved. Perhaps under better circumstances something could have happened between them... But now? Now she was still uncertain if he really wanted her or not.

She could just be convenient... After all she had very easily given into him. Handed her free will over without much thought for what it might entail... She remembered the way she had reacted to him that night in the corridor of the office. Like a whore...

Paige shut her eyes against the thoughts that threatened to eat her alive if she allowed them. Will released his grip on her arm as though he understood that she needed to make up her own mind. That she was at an important juncture in her mind and her next few decisions would decide their fate completely.

She climbed out of the bed and heard the sigh of frustration that escaped Will. Without looking back at him she grabbed her dressing gown from the chair in the corner of the room and tugged it on.

Once she was outside the door everything seemed a little easier. Breathing wasn't as hard as it had been in the room. Was it a sign that she was making a mistake by allowing him into her life? It wasn't as though she had much of a choice. He was here and there was no escaping it. Did she even really want to escape it?

The thought nagged at her as she made her way into the kitchen and put the kettle on. Pulling her favourite mug from the cupboard she added the coffee to the French press. It was the favourite part of her morning. Always had been and she had no idea why. There was something about pushing down the plunger and watching the dark liquid swirl. The smell was intoxicating deep and rich. In many ways it reminded her of the man currently lying in her bed.

Sighing she waited for the coffee to brew. When she finally poured it into the cup and took her first sip it seemed to calm her down entirely. Was she crazy to walk away from Will? Could it really protect him or was there a more selfish reason behind it?

Part of her wished that she could just go back to the way things were. Back when life was simple and the most thing that she had to worry about was what would happen at work. Now everything seemed to be imploding in on itself.

What Chris had said niggled at her. He seemed to think that she knew more than she really did... In fact everyone seemed convinced of that. Will included.

The sound of the door buzzer made her jump. It was far too early for anyone to be calling and as far as she was aware Will wasn't expecting anyone either...

She slowly made her way to the door and paused. Will dashed out of the bedroom, his hair tousled from the bed and Paige couldn't stop herself from giggling. He looked ridiculous, but in a model kind of way.

She opened the door as she laughed. She didn't catch Will's warning in time and tugged the door open. The man standing outside didn't look like the usual type of delivery guy. He wore all black and he still had the motorcycle helmet on. The visor prevented Paige from seeing any details on his face.

However, what she did was the knife in his hand as he pulled it from his pocket. With a squeal of surprise she tried to close the door once more but he jammed his foot in the door holding it open.

The blade caught her arm leaving a trail of crimson blood dripping down her hand. She slumped towards the floor and moved in towards her again. Will was there in a flash. His hand grabbing the other guys and twisting it up and into the door. He slammed it against the frame un
til the knife clattered to the floor.

The other man swiped out and caught Will square in the face. The sound making Paige's ears ring. But Will seemed completely unfazed and threw his weight into the other man driving them both out into the hall. The sound of fighting had Paige crawling to the door. By the time she made it there the other man was gone and Will was left breathing heavily and bleeding from the lip.

Paige pulled herself upright and hurried to his side. The gash on her arm continued to drip and the pulse in her arm was growing louder.

Will grabbed her as she slumped towards the floor. Her body felt heavy and useless. He scooped her up into his arms and carried her back into the apartment, his foot slamming the door shut behind him. He carried her into the kitchen and sat her on the chair at the small table.

She closed her eyes for a moment. It wasn't as though the wound hurt, it didn't. It burned a little and she found that surprising. Will gripped her arm and pressed the paper towels to the gash. It was across her forearm open almost from wrist to elbow. In the exact place where she had put her hand to protect her face. When Will put pressure on the wound that was when Paige winced. The pain sent little starbursts of colour exploding behind her eyes.

"You need stitches." Will's words reached her ears but Paige didn't really hear him. Instead she was trapped inside her own mind going over what had happened. Why would someone come to her door and do that? It didn't make any sense.

It was Chris. He knows where you live now and Will did warn you about it. The thought hit her like a hammer blow. It was Chris, it had to be. He was the only one. But why would he chose now to kill her? She had thought him to be the type to do it himself.

"It was Chris..." The words left her lips and Will paused what he was doing.

"I don't think that guy was Chris, Paige..."

"No," she shook her head. "I don't mean the man. I mean the man was sent by Chris... He really wants me dead..."

Will stared up into her face as he continued to put pressure on her arm. "Yes he is. I thought yesterday made that pretty clear..."

  "I know but..."

Will cut her off, "But what? You saw what he did yesterday and you thought he would just leave it at that? Paige I never thought you were stupid before... But this... I just don't know what to think."

Paige's cheeks burned. Her arm was beginning to sting and she felt humiliated. Will was right, she was behaving stupidly and utterly naive. What did she expect would happen? For god’s sake yesterday he held a gun to her head.

"I'm sorry..." She whispered the words as tears began to drip down her face.

Will cupped her cheek with his hand and tilted her face so she was looking into his eyes.

"Paige, I don't want you to be sorry... I want you to be smart. Chris means to kill you and part of that is now my fault..."

"What do you mean?" Paige asked as Will pulled a cell phone from his trouser pocket.

"It's a game to him. Before you were just a loose end... Now he knows what you mean to me... It makes it different."

Nausea was beginning to set in on Paige and her head continued to spin. Will was right when he said she needed stitches.

"Aidan, bring the car, Paige needs the hospital." Will spoke into the cell hurriedly and Paige couldn't help but wonder what Aidan really had to do with the entire situation. Who was he?

Will stood and moved to the fridge where he grabbed a bottle of water. Pulling it open he handed it to Paige. "Drink, you're losing a lot of blood you need to keep drinking."

She started to gulp down the cool liquid as Will helped her stand and walked her to the door. "I can't go out like this!" She protested weakly looking down at the dressing gown she wore. She had nothing else on underneath and a blush covered her cheeks as she thought of going out in public in it.

"No choice." Will grunted as he pulled his shoes on.

Paige shook her head. There was no way she was going out in just her robe. It wasn't happening. She didn't care how badly hurt she was.

Shrugging out of his grip she tried to move down the hall but her head swam violently and she started to slide towards the floor. Her body felt heavy and limp and it was starting to frighten her.

Will's arms wrapped around her as he picked her up into his arms. Aidan came into view and Paige started to realise that she was in fact slipping in and out of consciousness. Something pinched tight around her arm and she tried to whimper but no sound left her lips. She was vaguely aware of being carried down the stairs and angry whispers passing between Aidan and Will. By the time they reached the car Paige was completely unconscious and for that Will was glad.

  ***

Paige's eyes flickered open and she stared around at her surroundings. Everything was very white and bright but she was grateful that her head had stopped spinning.

She sat up and put weight on her injured arm. The tightness felt odd, as though her skin was being pulled together far too tight. She winced and transferred her weight. As she sat up she noticed that she was on a couch. In the corner sat a desk covered in papers and a small sink sat in the opposite corner.

  "Hello?" She called out.

The man who poked his head back in the door didn't seem familiar at all and a small seed of panic settled in Paige's stomach.

"You're awake. How does the arm feel?"

  "Weird..."

He nodded thoughtfully and picked up a small bottle of spray. "If you put some of this on it will stop the 'weird' feeling." He smiled kindly and all of Paige's panic began to melt away.

"I'm Dr. Costa. Will brought you in..."

Paige glanced past him to the door. "Is he still here?" Her voice sounded very small to her ears and she hated to sound so vulnerable.

"Yes. He will be in shortly. In the mean time would you care to get dressed?" The doctor indicated to a small screen standing at the far wall. Paige could make out several clothes bags and it was enough to pique her curiosity.

She stood and although her legs were a little unsteady she was happy to be able to stand at all. Making her way to the screen she opened the first long bag hanging from the screen. Wrinkling her nose she stared at the skirt and blouse. It was unlike anything she would pick out for herself. It was an outfit made to catch other people’s attention and that was not the way Paige liked to dress.

Opening the next bag it was the same situation. All of the clothes although very beautiful it just wasn't something she would ever wear. With a sigh of frustration she pulled the skirt and blouse from the first bag. As she pulled them on she quickly realised how perfectly they fit and she couldn't help but wonder how Will knew.

The skirt moulded to her hips and ass making her feel self-conscious. What would people think of her when they saw her wearing it? The blouse was made of silk and settled down around her frame with ease. Fumbling with the top of it she noticed that there was no buttons to close it over her breasts. Instead the top of her lacy pink balconette bra could be seen peeking out each time she moved.

The sound of the door opening had Paige peering out from behind the screen. The second she caught sight of Will she stormed out from her hiding place.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" She demanded.

Will's eyes drank in every inch of her stopping only to linger on her ass and breasts. He smirked as he caught sight of her bra, a small curving of his lips that left Paige feeling hot and bothered. How dare he waltz in here after everything that had happened and look at her like she was a piece of meat.

"Very nice." His voice was low, practically a growl.

"Don't give me that... I look like... like a..."

"A beautiful, confident, sexy woman?" Will offered all the while the smile still played around his lips.

Paige blushed, the colour flushing up into her blonde roots. Why did he have to be so frustrating? Couldn't he see that she was uncomfortable?

He moved to her side and turned her body so her back was against his chest. She tried to move out of his grip but he wrappe
d an arm around her waist and pinned her in place. His lips finding her neck, he nibbled along the column of soft creamy skin and Paige melted. Her knees weakening as he grazed her with his teeth. It was the promise of pleasure. She knew what he could give her. What he could do to her body. The pleasure he could pull from her in the form of ragged screams and gasping breath.

Will's hand snaked up to cup her breast, one thumb lazily circling her nipple drawing a soft moan from Paige's lips. She couldn't help it. Against him she was helpless. He held power over her and he knew exactly how to use it.

The sound of someone clearing their throat had Paige's eyes flying open. Aidan stood in the door and the doctor was standing to one side shuffling uncomfortably. Mortification made Paige immediately start trying to wriggle out of Will's tight possessive grip. But he wasn't willing to let her go. He held her there, tight against his body as his hand simply cupped her breast.

"Are we ready to go? We have a long flight..." Aidan's voice was cold, practically icy and it took all of Paige's strength to not shiver. He shot her a dirty look before turning on his heel and stalking from the room.

It wasn't until he had left that Will released Paige. She spun around to face him and lifted her hand to strike. He caught her wrist easily and tugged her body against his.

  "Remember love who owns you."

Anger coursed through her body. "I don't belong to anyone, and certainly not a complete asshole."

Will laughed and released her suddenly. "You have no idea how to play the game do you? I love that you're strong willed but trust me when I tell you that if you behave this way where we are going... We will both lose."

It was a sobering thought and one that piqued Paige's interest. "Where are we going?"

"It's need to know and you don't need to know..."

Paige opened her mouth to complain but Will lifted his hand. "Look that is Aidan's orders not mine..." He leaned in close enough to whisper in her ear. "But as soon as I can I will tell you, Paige. I told you, you could trust me and I mean it." He made a show of kissing her cheek before pulling away. "Now grab your shoes. Everything else is on the plane."
