“I told you to stay away from him,didn’t I?.”he hissed.
Ruth was crying her heart out,we could see it clearly,Ronaldo did not regret it at all,it was so common for him to kill somebody, “why did you do it?.”she sobbed, “Why?.”
“Because you disobeyed me sweetheart,when I say stay away means stay away,when I say only me that means only me.”
“He was..”she tried.
“I know that but you are missing the point, you disobeyed me, you made me do it, he is dead because of you Ruth,only you.”
She sat there crying the entire evening and he sat on top of the roof watching her cry,there was a beautiful smile round his lips,it made me sick to my core,what kind of a lover was he?.
“A mad lover.”answered Jill automatically,Sipper nodded and Kim just tried hard to ignore,I couldn’t understand why.
“I’m not her,you are wasting your time.”she whispered,his smile died at once,the anger that flashed within his eyes were blood curdling,she ignored but we couldn’t, the next words out of her mouth did bring the worst in him,her voice was a whisper and the more she said it,the more he slapped her, hard and like a real brute,she stopped, taking her breath,trying to see through her brimmed eyes, “I am not Miyana,I am not her.”she barked loud and clear.
“Shut up,shut up...”he slapped her with more force,making her bleed around the edges of her lips.
“You are my Miyana,you only belong to me,you will obey me now and ever...”she did cut him softly,her eyes however were far determined and cold “if I don’t?,what will you do Jacob?,what will you do?,kill me?.”
“No, I won’t kill you but I will kill her, I will kill her now.”he got up furiously,ready to fly,I could see his black wings,dark as ebony,emerging out of his back in a jiffy,tearing his smooth white skin.
“Don’t hurt her,don’t,I’ll do whatever you say,I’ll always obey you,always,don’t hurt her.”
I was in pool of tears,my sister loved me so much,she did everything for me,to save me from the monster that Jacob had become.My heart was crying and so were the eyes,this time I readily allowed those dark words to slip under my feet and carry me away, needless to say,it was end of Ruth’s Diary -Miyana.
Ruth’s Diary- Poisoned.
“Where are we?.”I asked trying to get my foot out of a hole in the ground,luckily it was not too deep.
“Its the school warehouse.”answered Jill softly,I did see what she was watching.“What the hell is he doing with her?.”
I could see Ruth,her hands and legs were tied behind a pole,she was in her school dress and Ronaldo was standing just besides her,he had a knife in his hand.She looked sick to the core,her eyes were wet but she tried not to open it, “Its not going to help Miyana,you have to drink my blood,once you do it then only we can unite forever,don’t be naive,I don’t want to hurt you or her,be a good girl and have it down your throat,come on now.”with that said,he extended his wounded palm,it was cut with the same knife,her soft sobs transformed into full fledged cry, “No...No......”
“Miyana don’t make me do it,you are getting weak,there is no going back,nobody is going to come and rescue you,no one trust me.”he snapped,squeezing the blood out of his palm and dropping the same in her mouth,she tried her best to clench her teeth but few droplets did slip down her throat.
“There now,you will learn but its really going to be tough,honestly,where do you get all that tenacity from?.”
He held her blood covered face,making her look into his desperate eyes,“few years more and then we will be one forever,just like before but this time there won’t be any mistake,you and me,forever.”his lips were locked in her,her eyes did feel heavy,he laughed kissing her again, “You drive me so crazy Miyana,so crazy..”.
We could hear the school bell,he did sigh,pulling away, “lunch time over lets get back to books..”I could see her wet eyes,she was nodding...
“What the hell..”I shouted,Jill helped me get up, “I think she did try to burn her own diary,this is the last one I guess.”
“What do you mean by the last one?.”
“Memory in my list which makes some sense.”
“What is it about?.”
“Miyana and how did she poison herself.”
“How exactly does Ruth fit in Miyana’s time?.”
“This is when Ruth is dreaming,how her life ended,who did this to her?.”
“How?.”
“Aagi its better you watch.”answered Kim,she was herself again,her eyes were fixed on the women who was lying on the bed,she had the same face,just like Ruth but her body was different,Ruth had long legs and no flesh,where as the women in front of us was well gifted,her skin was so soft and inviting. “Sleeping naked has its own benefits.”
Roy was dumbstruck and so was Rocky,what were they thinking, that was my sister out there, “No sweetheart, that’s Miyana.”answered Sipper. I just nodded.She was tossing in her bed,unable to sleep,finally she was up,the blanket that covered her was on the ground,she stood in front of the mirror watching herself,her marked skin and bitten lips,she tied her curly hair up in a bun.
“Where the hell is she going?.”
“Just follow.”hissed Kim,she was the first one going behind her.I could see her bear feet, they were cut at the edges,the stones on which we walked in the dark forest were quite deadly,I had to admit,one of them did cut me too.
“Be careful Aagi.”Rocky was the first one to come to my aid, “yeah.”I smiled getting up.
She did stop at an old hut,it had a grave in front and freshly dug grave at the back,she kept knocking,nobody answered the door,but she did not give up, “alright.”answered an old women in her low and cracked voice.
“Think again.”she warned,eyeing the beautiful women in front of her, “I just want to die,I’m tired.”she said sadly, “Come on in then.”she said pulling her .We ran at top speed,before the door could close each one of us were inside the hut,the old hag had changed,she was a beautiful women with short black hair and dark green eyes. “There must be another way.”she said.
“No,I tried to think of many,I even tried to tell him the truth about his sister but he has made up his mind,he will kill me,I don’t want that,I will kill myself.”replied Miyana,she did breathe,like confirming her decision finally.
“Lie down then,let us begin.”answered the other witch,Miyana was on the wooden table,few other witches walked in,circling her completely,their hands rose in the air,I could see the ceiling tearing itself and a dark face emerging out of it,Roy and Rocky were pushed in the wall,the wind was blowing very hard,I saw its ugly dark tongue penetrating Miyana’s naval,slowly the dark force descended within her,Miyana was screaming top of her lungs but nobody helped her, I could only see, only one witch who did not smile,rest were pleased,it seemed as though they had achieved many things.
“Your soul shall leave the body with her very soon.”hissed one of them.
The first witch looked in her eyes and said softly “You are poisoned.”
Ruth cried,we were holding our ears,she was holding her cheek,I saw Ronaldo in front of us,Ruth was still shivering,trying to collect her thoughts.
“You did this to yourself.”hissed he. No matter how many times he tried to ask her the question why did she do it,she had no answer, “This was no dream Miyana, now I know who poisoned you,you did it yourself, and all that I want to know is why?.”
She was crying her heart out but he did not allow her space,the madness in his eyes was so obvious.
“Why did she do it?.”
“I think I know but I have no facts.”sighed Jill,seeing the two in front of her,they were so messed up.
She nodded willingly in favor to my unasked question, definitely easy to guess, Sipper though said it loud, “end of Ruth’s Diary-Poisoned.”
The Traitor
“That’s it?.” I asked,Kim was sitting on the ground and Jill nodded her head,Sipper was holding Rocky while Roy just stared in space,the tiny window near the roof,moon was shining brillian
tly and so was his eyes,he turned furiously behind,his nostrils flared and the scowl on his face was deadly.I did not know what was he seeing in the distant but one thing was for sure,everyone was stone cold,anger burning in their skin,face a tormented picture,someone loud and clear did shout in my head,Crystal,Crystal,Crystal,Crystal...over and over again,my eyes were already wet,could easily make out the streak of blood that escaped from my right ear.
“Bullshit,she has Aagi down now.”warned Sipper running close to me,Kim and the others did the same,I could not see what Jill was forcing down my throat but whatever it was it did help,the voice was reduced to a negligible whisper,I saw her in distance,smiling,like she was very happy to have us caged,for some reason her eyes were glued to me,the hatred that surfaced my heart was immeasurable,few flashes did cross my eye,she was killing Mudrox while Selina stood like cold statue,she was the one poisoning Jacob’s mind,the way her lips moved close to his ears,I could see her creating misunderstanding between them,Selina just agreed to anything that she said,all that she wanted was Jacob,only Jacob.
“Why the hell did you do it?,Why?,he was your brother.” I shouted,the pain was still there,I was crying,holding my stomach as I cursed and demanded at the same time. “He was also a king and my only source of power.”whispered she,which was easy for me to hear,her smirk did confirm something,something which did tear Jacob and Miyana apart.Didn’t Miyana herself say that he would never believe it was Crystal,his own sister,while poisoning herself,there was something fishy,he was the king I did agree, but her only source of power,what did she mean by that?.
She disappeared the same way she had come, “Aagi calm down,calm down.”instructed Jill,nothing was helping,I could see several flashes run in front of my eye,Mudrox with Selina and Crystal were planning something,Mudrox changing himself into Crystal in front of the mirror while the real Crystal was lying on the floor,her head was bleeding.The viscous look exchanged now and then by Crystal and Selina.Miyana being insulted in front of the entire court,her loud and deafening cry on a moonless night in the balcony when Jacob surrendered to Selina...so many of them,I couldn’t even see now clearly,was it really me screaming so loudly,what was happening,I was turning....
“Stop hitting her.”
It looked like an entire era had passed in front of my eyes,I feared to open them again but I did,I could see Rocky holding Sipper,her right hand was cut and so was my left cheek.She was breathing uncomfortably but my breathing normalized,I saw Troy sitting outside the cell,he watched me in perfect horror,I knew that he could see the same things which I saw,we were connected,he could read all my thoughts,but where was I getting this from,he smiled softly,my eyes were wide,it was Ruth,if she was thinking all this then definitely Jacob would know,it didn’t make sense to me but who has lived so long and has all his memories intact,may be it made sense to him.
We did not speak,he watched me in perfect silent,rest of us were having their meal,I hated him but his expressions were blank like nothing made any difference to him.
“So what now?.”asked Roy,his acidic tone did mark a faint scowl on his untroubled skin, “whatever Jacob says.”
“What do you think your Jacob will say?.”scowled Rocky pulling Sipper’s hand down from his mouth,she tried to stop him from saying.I could easily sense their temper,it was so annoying and disturbing to be in a dark cell,we never thought about this,we didn’t even think about death,it was just not the right time to die.
“He won’t kill any of you and Jacob will say whatever Miyana has to say.Your sister is responsible for this mess not he.”
“You bloody...”
“Be nice.”came a voice from distance,it was Chris,his eyes didn’t even bothered to look at me,they settled lovingly on Kim,she hated it,could easily tell from her face,the deadly expressions were unavoidable.
“Things are getting clear now,aren’t they?.”smiled he looking at her,she hissed softly “in your head I guess.”
“Well in Jacob’s head,very soon we will be leaving this place,I think only Sipper won’t be allowed to join us.”smiled Chris.
“No,I heard Jacob,he is going to take care of her too.”
“What are you two talking?.”I finally could not ignore them anymore. “He knows why Miyana poisoned herself.”
“Why did she?.”asked Jill.
“It was because of Crystal.”
“That we all know.”
“Well let me elaborate it for you.”breathed Troy, “Crystal is not Crystal,its Mudrox,Miyana got confused,he disguised himself as her,till date he is,the women you saw just now was none other than Mudrox himself,Crystal is basically still lying in his grave,we are sure she is breathing.”
This information was a blow,a major one,“so that’s why Miyana cursed her,she was under that ground.”
“Yes.”
“How did he know?.”
“He is the king of lunatis and the most cunning of all.”smiled Troy,he was amused at Rocky’s question.
“Why does she,I mean he eye me differently?.”
“You out of all share an unexplained bond with Ruth who is nothing but Jacob’s heart and soul.If he has you,he has Ruth and Jacob.”answered Troy in between his teeth,he was not at all happy while he said this.
“So why doesn’t he kill him.”shouted Jill unable to control her temper.
“Killing him while he is Crystal means killing his sister,he does not know where her real grave is once he knows that,then there is no holding Jacob,I am just dying to see the fight,it will be a great one.”laughed Chris but his tone was smeared in hatred,his closed fist was telling a different story, “I wish I could end it right away.”
“What is the curse?.”Jill asked,I wanted the same answer, “Miyana cursed each and every lunati before dying.”
“What is it?.”
“Something which you will know on this full moon night,Ruth will be ready to take her rightful place as Miyana,that will be the last day your sister will recognize you,once transformed,the curse will break,Mudrox will die,real Crystal will come to life and we again become the same big family.”smiled Troy
“Till then sleep and don’t waste your energy, also keep your temper in check.”warned Chris sending a flying kiss to Kim.Her eyes were brimmed and he just walked away.
Troy did not leave,he waited,watching over me,the pain from my body had disappeared,I watched him the same way he watched me,till my eyes were heavy and I went again to sleep.
I did hear Jill,her voice was so clear and loud “So Mudrox was The Traitor.”
Forever Yours
It was so dark and I was just following Ruth,she was going ahead of me like a robot,it was hard keeping up,deep woods and sharp stones were all that I could see,stars too did not guide my eyesight,she was walking bear feet,I couldn’t help but just wonder where was Ronaldo,well Jacob,its just hard to get use to that name. “Ruth stop,stop Ruth....where are you going?.”
No matter how many times I called her she did not answer me,her eyes were wide open but it seemed like she was sleep walking.I tried hard to run near her and hold her back,she was about to fall,she was not taking the bridge but going towards the cliff,I did scream bad,my hands were covered over my face,I could not imagine what just happened,my sister fell right in front of me,gingerly I tried taking a peek down,when I heard the flapping of wings,there she was flying,her majestic white wings covering the moon in the sky. I followed her,it was just a rusted bridge,I was forced to take one step at a time,Ruth was still in my sight,she was walking like the same zombie.
I saw her enter a place which had silver gates,it opened on its own,she walked inside and I was right behind her but my hands could not hold her,she slipped each time like she was a ghost,I was not able to touch her,I tried calling,racing by her left hand side but she could not see me.What was happening?, Ruth stop,how was she not able to see me.I was dead the moment I saw a grave where she collapsed,that one drop of sweat made my spine brittle.
“You called?.”she whispered,I wasn’t able
to see who she was having a word with or in which language after that she was speaking,I only saw her eyes,they were completely white,minute by minute her hair was growing long,few curls tried to bind me,but I managed to dodge them.My heart was turning cold,it was freezing out here,what was happening,her white wings were also turning black and so were her eyes.I just could not see her anymore like this,it was giving me creeps,without another word of caution or thinking it twice,I picked a stone and threw it right over the grave,I just couldn’t believe what I saw,it was Crystal,she came up the stone,sitting like an hungry animal,her hair was covered in soil and so was her face,her eyes were black and she was howling continuously.Few minutes later,I saw Crystal again,she was standing next to Ruth,she was in good clothes and her skin was clean,I could not believe it,there were two Crystals,one sitting at the grave and the other standing next to Ruth.
Ruth was coming to her senses,it was not long when she caught what was going on,the ferocious Crystal on the grave was already in her position to attack me while the other just announced herself as the spectator,Ruth saw,she was quick,she grabbed me and flew,the feather from her wings were already falling,the black ones,I could not help,we were falling back on ground,she threw me over the bridge and cut the ropes.I saw her been dragged back in the woods, no matter how hard I shouted it was no use,there was nobody out there to help us,I was covered in blood and my heart was sinking,my right arm was stretched but still I could not hold her, “Ruth................”.
“Its all right,calm down,she is perfectly fine,she is,it was just a dream,calm down now.”thundered Ronaldo,Ruth was in his arms,he was holding her as tight as possible,close to his heart,she was stiff and ready to break his tough hold. “Stop it now.”he shouted crushing her easily in his chest, “she is alright...she is alright...”he kept on repeating while Ruth still struggled,he didn’t budge,slowly the words did sink in her,she stopped, breathing heavily,her ears listening unknowingly to his furious heartbeat,it was literally pounding on his chest wall.
