Lucky Charms: A Hudson Family Series- Book 3- Dalton and Cami

Well, when you put it like that, it did sound pretty bad.
“Please don’t say the virginity thing so loud, your father is watching and there are lots of bats on this propety,” I whispered as I looked around at the people staring.
Camille smiled sweetly. “Yes, ladies and gentleman, Dalton and I got plastered on fine Irish Whiskey, then Father Simmons married us, and I gave me virginity to me doting husband, four times I think it was. Is that right, husband?” she announced loudly to everyone.
“Five,” I muttered, casting a sideways glance at Jack. I noticed him slowly making his way around the tables, moving closer to where Camille and I stood.
“Och, yer correct, me love, it was five times - how could I forget? I mean, I was so sore the next day I thought I was going to split in two!” She laughed sarcastically as I stared in horror at her.
Deathwish, she definitely had a deathwish for me. I only had seconds to react when I heard Jack shout from my left as he tore after me.
“God damn, again?” I complained as I took off running, Jack on my heels.
Jack chased me around the house and I finally lost him when I ran into the stables. This was not going as planned, she was far more pissed than I thought. I looked out from the stables and saw her laughing with Rachel. So! This was funny, was it? I open my heart, confess my love, and she’s laughing me off like a joke?
Be a Hudson, stupid, no retreat – no surrender!
Smiling, I knew exactly what I needed to do!
Cami
“Will your dad really hurt Dalt?” Rachel asked, her concern for her brother showing on her pretty face.
I smiled and put a comforting hand on her shoulder. “Naw, I’m pretty sure Da already had an idea of what happened, and me cousin appears to be free with information, so I would expect he’ll just scare him for a bit,” I tried to reassure her. Still, I was thankful when me Da came back from around the house with no blood on his hands evident as he joined me Ma and Synclair.
I couldn’t believe Dalton would do this, and in front of all these people, no less. Had the lad gone mad? It took him all this time to admit he loves me and he just expects me to fall into his arms? Well, he can forget it. I’ve been working on meself for the past few months since we have been apart. I have decided I like designing homes, and I’m going to take more classes for it. Me parents decided to move here in the Spring to be closer to the babe and Synclair, and they want me to come too, and I am considering it, but I don’t know what to do about Dalton. I don’t want him to feel duty-bound to love me because we got drunk-married and had sex, I want him to love me because he can’t stand to be without me. I want his chest to squeeze like mine does when I try to imagine a world without him in it.
Maybe if he had called, texted, or even written me a damn email, maybe we could talk, but I will not be bullied into… what the hell is that noise?
I turned just as Dalton, sitting astride a huge horse, rode straight for me. What, was he going to trample me to death? Again, was the lad mad??
As he leaned far over the left side of the horse, it suddenly became clear what his intentions were.
“Don’t you… Ahh!” I shouted as he lifted me off me feet and plopped me in his lap. I turned me face to him in shock and wanted to smack the cocky smirk right off his face.
“Put me down, right now, Dalton, right bloody now!” I shouted as he continued to ride. The bouncing from the horse was starting to make me ill and me arse was becoming sore. Hey, I’ll have you know that not all Irish people ride horses; some us drive cars, takes buses, or walk, thank you very much!
Trying to keep from puking, I laid me head against his chest and squeezed me eyes shut. I promised meself if there was any puking to done, I would do it all over him… as soon as he stopped this bloody horse!
Finally, he pulled on the reins and the beast halted. I was so dazed I paid no mind to him dismounting, and didn’t protest when he reached up and grabbed me from the waist to pull me off the saddle. I thought he’d put me down, but the bastard just flipped me over his shoulder and started walking.
Grrrrrr! “Dammit, Dalton, I’m going to kick yer cranium in, I’m going to cut off yer head and spit down yer dead throat, I’m going to…”
“Marry me again and live in your dream house that I built for us!” he finished for me as he put me down and spun me around.
I couldn’t move, I couldn't speak… me mind was literally one long Duhhhhh. Standing before me, on the top of a grassy hill, was a huge two-story home. It had a huge front porch and white shutters. A porch swing faced out, and I was struck by the familiar lines and features. I walked toward the steps, almost afraid it would disappear if I touched it. I slid me hands on the cool railing as I took the first step, a step I designed, attached to a porch I had drawn. I looked at the swing and then out toward the sun, and I saw the Hudson ranch about two miles down a gravel road. I looked at Dalton.
“This side of the house faces East, to watch the sunrise, and the back porch faces the West to watch sunsets,” he told me as he took a careful step toward me.
“You built it? You built the house, me house?” I couldn’t believe I was standing there, looking at a home I had only dreamt of, and he had built it.
“Well, I was hoping it would be our house; I got the sketch from Sean and when I realized I screwed up, I didn’t know how else to make it right. The guys on my crew helped out and I called in a few favors to get it finished in time” He took another step.
“So you built an entire house?” I asked, still in disbelief. How could he have built it in such a short time?
“I’ve always been the charmer, I could talk my way out of anything, but I couldn’t charm you, Camille. You saw me for who I was, warts and all, and you love me.”
I snorted at his arrogrance and he grinned. Coming to stand before me, we were nearly even in height, as I stood on the steps.
“I tried to talk myself out of loving you, I didn’t want to love someone and lose them, then when I lost you anyway, it killed me. I don’t want to lose you again, I won’t! If you don’t like this house, then design another one and I’ll build that. You want to design gazebos, houses, or toilet seats, I don’t care. You design them and I'll build them, as long as you don’t leave me.” He grabbed me hands and I felt me heart flutter.
“I love you, Camille Patrick Hudson. I want you to live with me and share your dream with me, let it be my dream, too!”
I opened me mouth to speak and he covered it with his. I felt his tongue inside me mouth and I couldn’t hold back any longer. I loved the man and God help me, I wanted to be with him, all the time! Forever.
Once we finally broke apart for air, we were both panting and gasping for breath.
“For God's sake, woman, put the man out of his misery!” I looked and me Da was getting out of a car, along with Dalton’s brothers.
“Hey, I’m having a moment with my wife here,” Dalton teased, his green eyes bright with tears.
“Well, we wanted to make sure you didn’t mess it up, so we came here just in case Camille turned you down,” Matt shouted as he approached where we stood.
I laughed and yelled back, “Oh, really, Matt? And what, pray tell, did you bring that would aid yer brother in wooing me into his arms?”
Matt held up his hands and showed what he had brought. “Your mom told me Dalton would know what to do with these.” He smirked as he wagged his brows up and down.
“Are those what I think they are?” Dalton asked and we grinned at each other.
“Um, is the house furnished?” I asked.
“Yeah,” he answered, still shaking his head at Matt.
I turned to him and kissed his lips. “Well then, husband, grab those and give me a wedding night I’ll remember this time!” I shouted as I turned and ran up the steps to find the master suite.
I heard everyone laugh as Dalton grabbed the silk ties that me Ma had given Matt and stomped up behind me.
“Come on,
husband, we don’t have all night!” I shouted as I kicked off me shoes and jumped on the huge bed with a royal blue comforter.
“Aww, sweet wife, that’s where you’re wrong,” he said as he removed his clothes in record time and covered me body with his. As his lips covered mine, he whispered, “We have forever."
“Forever,” I promised.

Matt Hudson had his life exactly the way he wanted it. He was a well-paid accountant, with corporate clients both in Carson City and Las Vegas and he balanced out his serious profession by moonlighting as a male escort. Oh no, this isn’t the male version of Pretty Woman! Nope, no champagne and chocolate strawberries here.
Matt belonged to a very high end, escort agency, based in Vegas. The agency is run by his old SEAL buddy, Baxter Peterson. The escort service pays well, is flexible with hours and Matt gets to indulge in his favorite pastime- Women.
Matt, is a woman aficionado! He loves them tall, short, heavy, skinny, small breasted, big breasted, American, Italian, European, it didn’t matter, women fascinated him. He loves to hear that hitch in their voice when he touches them just right. He loves taking a woman, who just wants to feel, cherished, wanted, and desired, and being whatever her greatest fantasy is. Therefore, Matt isn’t looking to change his life, his job or anything else in his perfectly organized world. That was until he met her.
Alison Collins has been Taylor Duke’s research assistant for Taylor’s romance novels, for about five years. It was an easy friendship, and a great career. Alison would travel to wherever Taylor’s next series would take her, research all the historical data for the book and then send all the information to Taylor in a flash drive. Since she was used to Taylor sending her to faraway places that included castles and old monasteries, Ali was shocked when Taylor told her the next assignment was right in her own backyard. She wanted Ali to go to Las Vegas to interview gigolos, no wait sorry, male escorts, for her next series.
It isn’t that Ali has a problem with Vegas; she grew up on Mt. Charleston, only an hour north of the glitzy city. So, despite having to come up with interview questions for men, who made their living being the secret fantasy to women, this job should be a snap. The upside was once she finished the assignment, she’d be able to take some time off and work with the animals in her sanctuary. Then, she could take a long break from having to deal with people, any people.
When Matt meets Alison sparks fly, but while Ali is bold with her questions, she shies away from his touch. After spending one night in this gorgeous, funny, sarcastic woman’s company, without getting to touch her, Matt wants more, a lot more. When Ali bolts the next morning with no way to contact her, Matt realizes she left behind the leather case that contains all of her interviews for the past three weeks. He’s even more encouraged when he realizes Ali works for his new sister-in-law’s bestie, Taylor Duke.
Now that he has a solid plan of getting Ali to talk to him, Taylor warns him off. Refusing to go into details, Taylor tells Matt, to leave Ali be, she likes to be alone and will never give him the time of day.
All Taylor accomplishes is waving a red flag in front of a hot bull. Matt Hudson knows what he wants, he knows whom he wants, but is he prepared to leave his love of women behind and settle on just one?
His crazy, interfering, Hudson family and new sister in laws, Synclair, Sara, and Camille all weigh in on his quest to catch the elusive woman that made him realize, that maybe there is someone out there for everyone. Now, he just needs to rally the Hudsons around to help him show Alison that she got much more than she bargained for when she purchased his services. He is determined to show her, that in love, there are no refunds, no exchanges!
Baby Mine- A Hudson Family Series- Book 2
Lucas and Sara
Sara looked up from the paperwork she was doing to see who was bothering her this late. Knowing she had locked the front door of the diner two hours ago, she didn’t need to look to see who was storming her office. Still, she was surprised when she looked up and was met with a handsome scowl from Lucas Hudson. Scowling at her? Really? He had just invaded her office, in her locked diner and had the gall to look angry…with her?
“Why the scowl Lucas? Unable to find any kittens to kick today?” she remarked. She saw his dark, green eyes flash with irritation and then narrow on her. Yeah, she was a little mouthier since Synclair Patrick had shown up and become her partner.
“I can see Synclair’s rubbing off on you,” he retorted.
She hoped so. Synclair had been the long lost love of Lucas’s brother, Reece Hudson. After a wild pursuit, Reece finally won Synclair over. Sara was happy for Synclair; they had become fast friends when Synclair had defended her in the diner months back. Sara didn’t hesitate to offer to partner up with Synclair when she learned she was a successful bar owner in Vegas. The only downside was that it now put her in the direct path of Lucas Hudson, ex-boyfriend, and total asshole.
He regarded her with an odd look as he leaned on the frame of the open doorway. She had to sigh, no matter what; the man was easy on the eyes. Dark green eyes, full lips, dark chocolate colored hair, almost black, with just a hint of red coming through, not to mention the farmer’s tan and the way he filled out a pair of Levis jeans. The worst part was she knew exactly how well formed he was under that red flannel and blue jeans. She knew how ranching had given him thick muscular arms, sturdy thighs and an ass so tight it would make twenty-year-old underwear models weep. However, she knew none of that mattered to Lucas.
He had taken over for his parents when they had died and had taken his responsibilities seriously. He was the model brother, a successful rancher, a great father figure for his younger siblings and always had the answer for a problem. Except her. That was why she figured he was here; standing in her doorway looking like, he didn’t know what to say. Looking like he was pissed that he was actually here, as some inner, noble version of himself forced him to come see her against his will.
It hadn’t always been that way. They had been in love years back. They were going to get married, but they had a fight and she had gotten drunk and was raped by Travis Donaldson, cousin of Amber and Mike Donaldson. Amber had told Lucas that Sara had cheated on him and showed him pictures of Sara naked with Travis. Pictures that Travis, had used as proof of his innocence when Sara cried rape. Travis’s attorney claimed it was all about regret and not about an actual crime. The only thing Sara was thankful for was that she had no memory of Travis raping her. She knew he had drugged her. If not for the humiliating pictures, she could almost pretend it never happened. Nevertheless, it had actually happened, and it had taken Sara years to get over it. The child that came from that rape was more precious to her than anything was. At first, Lucas had believed Amber and broke everything off with Sara, but when Travis was arrested two counties over for drugging and raping another woman, Lucas came calling, hat in hand.
Sara may have been able to work past it with Lucas, although, she was still traumatized by the rape and by how quick Lucas was to believe the worst in her. No, it was when she turned up pregnant and Lucas could not accept the baby that had Sara turning her back on him. Still, Lucas was like a magnet. In the three years since she had her son, Logan, they had tried to avoid one another. Okay, her more than him. The
y were polite when their paths would cross and when Synclair blew into town they had been thrown into such proximity, that for a moment she got lost in that sexy, Hudson Alpha male charm.
Waking up in his arms the night after the confrontation with Amber in the diner was a mistake that Sara wished she could take back. She had slipped out and had avoided him since. Even when Matt Hudson had caught her trying to get a car to Synclair, who was at the hospital, and had carried Sara kicking and screaming into the waiting room, dumping her right in front of Lucas, she had bolted the second everyone’s attention was turned.
Now about four months later, just when she thought things would go back to the comfortable distance they had been keeping, here he was in all his Hudson glory and she wasn’t sure if she wanted to climb his lean body like a Spider Monkey or kick him in the balls. Damn, Synclair really was rubbing off on her.
“So why are you here? More to the point… How are you here? Since I know, I locked those front doors hours ago?” She stood up from the desk, placed her hands on her hips and stared him down.
Lucas tried not to laugh. Sara was a firecracker when she was angry. Sure, everyone thought she was quiet and somewhat mousy, but they didn’t know Sara the way he did. They hadn’t tasted how passionate she could be or how stubborn. Right now, she was definitely stubborn. After the night that they had made love, he was fit to be tied when he woke up alone. She had ignored his calls, his texts and every attempt to talk to her. Therefore, he gave her time. Time to work through her feelings, time to come to the same conclusion he had, that they were destined for the same second chance that his brother Reece and Synclair had gotten.
He knew he had messed up, his male ego and pride couldn’t see anything past the fact that another man had his hands on her. When he found out she was pregnant, he had been afraid that he wouldn’t be able to look at her baby, and not see Travis’s smug face when he bragged about having sex with Sara.
