“How are you?”

  “Fine. You?”

“I miss you, Isabella. The reason I called you here is because I wanted to tell you that I can’t live without you. Please, Isabella, come back to me. You can move in with me if you want.”

“Elijah, please. You want me, right? Then just leave your job. I’ll be all yours.”

“Isabella, we have already talked about this.”

Isabella stared at him angrily. She moved her hand through her hair and stood up. She glanced at one of the guys sitting on the couch and gave him a smile. Looking back at Elijah, she said, “Feel the pain.”

She walked confidently towards the guy and sat on his lap. Grabbing his hair, she tugged his head and aggressively attacked his lips. As she ground her hips on his erection, she was pulled away harshly.

“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING, ISABELLA!” Elijah growled at her after he had dragged her out of the club and pushed her to the wall.

“I LOVE YOU, ELIJAH! WHY DO YOU CARE IF I’M JUST KISSING HIM!”

Elijah stared her in disbelief. He knew he was the one at fault, and it was because of him that Isabella was suffering. He should not have approached her when he was perfectly aware that the nature of his job would cause her heartache.

Isabella was a crying mess. He reached out to wipe her tears, but she pushed his hands away.

“Don’t follow me,” she said sternly and walked away.

  Chapter 17

It was raining heavily outside, and Isabella was soaked from the rain as she ran back to her dorm. She closed the door and with her back against the door she slid to the floor and drew her knees up, hugging them to her chest. She heard a knock and opened the door to find Elijah standing there as soaked as she was. Without saying anything, he came inside and closed the door behind him. Isabella looked at him weakly. She leaned over and standing on her toes, hugged him. He hugged her back.

Elijah reached for the towel on the chair and dried her hair, then directed her to the bed and made her sit. Elijah made his way to her closet and, after fishing for ten minutes, took out dry clothes and undergarments for her. He took her hands gently and stood her up. Handing her the clothes, he pointed towards the bathroom.

“Change into these or you’ll catch a cold.”

Isabella dropped her clothes to the floor and, looking into his eyes, she aggressively kissed him.

  Elijah pushed her away.

“I won’t be able to control myself if you do this,” he whispered.

  “Then don’t,” she whispered back.

Elijah lunged over to Isabella as if her words made him lose control. He pushed her on the bed and crawled on top of her.

They struggled out of their wet clothing. Elijah’s hands were on one of Isabella’s breasts and he squeezed it while kissing her. Neither of them was gentle. Isabella’s legs were hugging his body, and both of them were completely naked. Elijah got up and laid on his, side making Isabella turn to face him. He grabbed her hair and pulled her close for another passionate kiss. He slid one of his hands to her sex and pushed in a finger. Isabella moaned, asElijah pushed in three more of his fingers.

Isabella was a moaning mess and her moans were music to Elijah’s ears. He stopped to move down to kiss Isabella on her womanhood, but she tugged on his shoulder, signaling him to lie back down.

“Let me be the one to please you today,” Isabella said shyly.

She got up and on her knees facing Elijah’s big erection.

“You don’t have to,” Elijah whispered.

“But I want to,” she said with a weak smile.

Isabella bent down and curled her fingers around his erection and tightened her grip.

“Move it up and down,” Elijah managed to say in between his heavy breaths.

Isabella moved it down and something inside her wanted to please him even more. She lowered and took the tip of his erection in her mouth and sucked it slightly. Elijah’s breath hitched and he moaned.

  “Fuck, Isabella.”

His voice made her take him even deeper inside her mouth, which made Elijah drop his mouth open and breath heavier.

“Ohh, faster, please,” he said and grabbed Isabella’s hair. He jerked his hips forward and Isabella bobbed her hands and head up and down his length.

“Stop. I want to come inside you,” he whispered with a lower voice.

Isabella continued, but Elijah pulled her away. He abruptly got up and made her lie down beneath him. Elijah reached for his pants to take out the condoms he had in his pocket when Isabella whispered.

“I’m on the pill,” she said.

“I would love to fuck you without condoms,” he said and pushed his full length inside of her without a warning.

“I. Love. You. Don’t. Go. Around. Kissing. Other. Guys,” he growled in between his thrusts.

Isabella smiled between her moans at her jealous man and they both came. Elijah fell on top of her and kissed her lightly on her forehead.

After lying like that for half an hour, Isabella broke the silence, “Cassie can be back at any time. I want to be alone with you.”

“We can go to my apartment. I love the thought of waking up to your beautiful face.”

  Isabella smiled at him.

“You made me feel so good, Isabella. You are so good,” he said, admiring her skills at blowjobs.

She blushed and buried her face in his chest.

  Chapter 18

The sunlight shone through the window onto the nestled bodies of the two lovers. Love was the only strong force that had held them together even after all the difficult barriers they have faced together. The two seemed to be perfect for each other. Elijah opened his eyes slowly. Isabella was sleeping like a child in his arms. He was filled with a sense of pride. He had been with so many women, so many that he had lost count.

Every woman was different than the other. Though they were all his clients, he used to observe each of them. They were mostly desperate; after all, that was the sole reason that they had wanted him. Some of them were young girls, mostly college-aged. But a majority of them were women. Married women.

Elijah often wondered what drew most of the married women to this. He knew many were not satisfied with their husbands. But still, he could not understand what satisfaction a one-night stand gave them. Many of these women were also regulars, but Elijah avoided keeping constants. He knew it might develop into something else; maybe not for him, but for them. Per the rules of his job, he was not allowed to have any kind of relationship with any of his clients.

Elijah had found the job through a friend. He already was a very handsome guy. Girls had always been attracted to his tall, masculine figure and good looks. But that was not the main reason he had chosen this job.

Elijah kept looking at Isabella with love in his eyes. He loved her more than he thought he could. After a whole week of living apart and then after what happened at the club, Elijah knew that all he wanted was Isabella. She looked so beautiful and innocent.

He knew he had hurt her badly after all that had happened, but she really was unaware of all the facts of his life. He wanted her to know. He wanted her to see that he was not doing this job because he liked it, but because there were reasons. He wanted to tell her that there were numerous options which left him with no other options but this job.

Elijah decided that he would tell her everything. The time had come, he believed, that he should tell someone why he was living this life. His life seemed so perfect from the exterior, but he knew what the facts were, what the bitter truth was.

Elijah leaned over Isabella and started kissing her. He gave her soft kisses on her eyes, forehead, and cheeks. Isabella seemed to be in a deep and peaceful sleep. She did not even move. Then Elijah slid down towards her neck. He kissed there a few times and then he kissed her softly on the lips. Surprisingly, he started receiving his kisses back. Isabella was up and she was
enjoying her morning kisses. Elijah broke the kiss and looked at Isabella. He smiled at her and she smiled back. Then he gently stroked her lips and chin and kissed some more.

After a few minutes of romance, Elijah fell on his back.

“Hey, are you okay?” Isabella asked, with worry in her voice. What made him break off like this? She wondered

  “Yes, baby, I’m all good.”

  “Is something bothering you?”

“Isabella, I want to share something with you.”

At this, Isabella tensed. She had no idea what was coming.. Elijah could see the worry on her face.

“Baby, it’s nothing to worry about, just a few truths about my life that I want you to know.”

Isabella looked a bit relieved as Elijah said this.

“Isabella, you know you are the first girl I have fallen in love with?”

Isabella was astonished at this. How had a handsome guy like Elijah never been in a relationship? She wondered. And if not, what made him fall for her?

“I know it sounds strange to you,” he laughed a little, “but this is the truth. Do you want to know why?”

  Isabella just nodded her head.

“Isabella, that is because destiny never gave me the chance to. I did not have enough time to think about it, to feel like any normal person would. My parents passed away in a car accident just after I finished high school. I was always an A+ student, but nature had been very cruel to me. After my parents’ death, I could no longer afford to live a regular life. I had no relatives to rely on. I did odd jobs day and night just to earn enough to have something to eat and survive. Continuing my studies was out of the question. That’s the only reason I chose to become an escort. I wanted a higher education, so that maybe someday I would be able to lead a good life. That’s why I had to take this job.”

After telling everything to Isabella, Elijah felt a lot better. The two of them talked a bit more about Elijah’s parents and then the phone rang. Elijah had to leave…

  Chapter 19

Elijah left immediately since it was a client who had called him. Isabella told him that she would be leaving too, and they promised to meet up later. Even after Elijah left, Isabella could not stop thinking about him. She kept recalling his words. She had never felt so much pain in someone else’s voice before. Elijah was doing all this out of mere helplessness.

It was not his choice. He had to do it so that he could lead a normal life. Isabella thought of how she had been ungrateful to her parents for the things they had done for her.

She knew she had been thankless. And then there were people like Elijah. People who did not have parents to attend to every little wish they had. Fate had been cruel to Elijah. His parents died when he needed them the most, and he had walked a long way all alone. Feeling disgusted with herself, she repented to God for all the times she had been thankless for her wonderful parents.

Isabella kept thinking about Elijah as she made her way back to the dorm. She felt worse for him with every passing moment. He had been so alone for so long, this was very wrong to him. Elijah had been heartbroken ever since. He did not lead an ordinary life. Isabella wondered how many people out there went around with the same kind of story.

After thinking hard about it for a very long time, Isabella decided that she wanted to pull Elijah out of this misery. She wanted to help him so that he could have what he wanted. Elijah had told her that he wanted to go to good college so that he could complete his studies. And education was the only thing that would help him to lead a normal life. Isabella had plans that she decided to share with Elijah.

Isabella called Elijah, wondering if he was done with the client. She felt disgusting calling him but still dialed. Elijah picked up after the first ring.

  “Isabella, are you all right?”

“Yes, Elijah. I just wanted to ask you if you could meet me for coffee right now.”

Shocked by the sudden invitation, Elijah answered, “Sure, I’ll be there at the café in half an hour.”

They hung up, and Isabella was excited. She knew she had a good way to give Elijah what he wished for. She changed into a sweatshirt and a pair of jeans and rushed out to meet him.

At the café, Elijah was already waiting for her.

“Hey, baby. Is everything all right?” Elijah asked, looking worried at Isabella.

“Yes, honey. I just wanted to talk about something.”

  “Oh, sure, anything, love.”

“Elijah, all morning I kept thinking about you, about how you spent your life. I know I cannot do anything to make that all right, but I can help you. I can help you with what you want.”

  “How?”

“Elijah, apply for the aid program at any of the universities you wish to attend. They give financial assistance to the under-privileged people. Go for that, but you’ll have to leave the job and the lifestyle you’re living.”

Elijah shot her a glance but said nothing.

“I know, it’s difficult, but I 'm there by your side. My parents will help you with the paperwork., They are well-known professors.”

Elijah looked up at her and said, “I won’t have a car and house to live in if I leave the job. It’s given to me by them.”

“We can move in together and support each other.” She looked into his eyes hopefully.

“I do have some savings,” Elijah said, after thinking a while. “That’s not a bad idea.” he added and smiled.

The two embraced each other for a long time.

Elijah quit his job as he promised and found a job at the superstore. Of course, he had to let go of a lot. He left his apartment and returned his car. They moved in together, and Elijah applied for universities and colleges and got all the financial aid he needed. He enrolled in a college with the help of Isabella’s parents, and Isabella found a job as a receptionist at the library. The two of them worked hard enough to get what they wanted, and the best part was, they were in it together, belonging only to each other.
