Sinful Biker

“You’re very lucky,” she said, and she meant it. “I’m not talking about the money.”

“I know. One thing that I really like about you is that you value so many things above money. Only you would stand in the foyer of my opulent house and tell me how lucky I am to have had people in my life to guide me when I was alone. I love that about you.”

His smile was wide and genuine. He grabbed Kayla’s hand and pulled her close, hugging her tightly and letting her go almost as quickly. Heat flooded through her body, the instant response overwhelming. He smelled so good and his body was so warm.

Butterflies beat against the walls of her stomach as her heart pounded against her chest. Dylan had hugged her, and Kayla felt for a moment as if she would float off the floor if she wasn’t careful.

His voice interrupted her thoughts, bringing her back to a reality that she realized she wasn’t upset about; at least for now.

“The first charity gala is a week from this Friday. I have to catch up on some projects and get some stuff together.” He looked at her, his face concerned. “I would feel better if you stayed close because of the pictures, but you’re not a prisoner here. Enjoy yourself, and rest up. The gala is a long, boring night. We’ll buy your dress this week sometime, but otherwise, you’re on your own.”

Kayla smiled. On her own for almost two week without so little to do? She didn’t even know where to begin.

  ***

“Are you alright?” Dylan asked, squeezing her hand gently. It was the night of the charity gala. “Try to relax and have fun tonight.”

“I’m fine. I’ve just never ridden in a limo before.”

  “You’ll get used to it.”

  “Will I?”

“If I have any say in it you will. But, at the very least you’ll be riding in one once a month.”

She squeezed his hand back and he leaned over from his seat beside her in the back of the limo. He kissed her cheek, his lips tender against her skin. Her body tightened in response.

  “I love that,” he said.

  “What?”

“The way your cheeks turn the slightest pink whenever I touch you. It’s sexy as hell.”

  Kayla laughed nervously.

“Good to know. I personally find it annoying. It’s hard to hide emotions when your face betrays you.”

Dylan leaned in. His lips were inches from her ear, his breath hot.

“Are there emotions that you’re trying to hide from me?” he asked, his deep voice vibrating in her ear and igniting her soul.

He was chuckling, and Kayla didn’t quite know what to say. She decided to go with the truth.

“Yes,” she said, feeling suddenly bold.

Maybe it was the dark red dress, or the killer heels that looked and felt like a million bucks. Whatever it was, she was feeling especially bold, and she decided not to be coy.

He pulled back, chuckling. His hand was still holding hers and with a gentle tug, he pulled her hand to his lips and kissed them softly. Dark green eyes held her gaze.

“I like this side of you. Sassy suits you.”

The car stopped and the door was opened. A man in a crisp tux helped her out, holding her hand until she was steady on her feet, then moved back to allow the photographers in to take their picture. Before the first shutter snapped, Dylan had his arm around Kayla, pulling her close and whispering in her ear.

“Pretend I said something charming,” he said, his mouth tickling her ear.

She smiled and ducked her head slightly, trying not to laugh outright at the feeling of being tickled.

“You’re perfect,” he said, kissing her cheek again, his hand on her waist. “You’re going to have fun, trust me.”

They walked into the opulent home that served as the party venue that night. When the doors were opened, Kayla did her best to hide her shock at the beauty of the scene before her.

“It’s crazy, isn’t it?” Dylan said quietly in her ear.

  “It’s magical.”

“I thought you would enjoy this.” He held his arm out to her and she took it, smiling at him. “Let’s have some fun, and see if that week of dance lessons you just took has paid off.”

She laughed, thinking about the hours she’d spent with Vincent and Maggie, trying to surprise Dylan by learning how to dance in polite society. Too bad Dylan had caught them, but he had been surprised all the same.

He led her onto the dance floor, pulling her closely and locking his arm around her waist. The string quartet began to play for the arriving guests, with only Dylan and Kayla on the dance floor.

He led effortlessly, and the pair of them gliding around the dance floor as if they’d been dancing together for decades.

“You’re good at this,” Dylan said, his expression tender.

  “I had the best teachers.”

“I had the same teachers. It’s like dancing with Maggie, but you’re much hotter.”

  He winked and she laughed.

“I’m not sure that was a compliment,” she teased.

“Everything I say to you is a compliment,” he said, his tone serious. “Thank you for coming with me, Kayla. I couldn’t imagine spending a night like this with anyone else.”

They danced a few more songs, and Kayla hardly noticed how many hours passed as they dined with the guests, then got up for more dancing and mingling. The rest of the evening went in a blur, and by the end of the night, Kayla felt like she was on top of the world.

  ***

Dylan led Kayla into the house later that evening, holding his fingers to his lips.

“Vincent and Maggie are long since in bed. It’s almost sunrise, so sleep in as late as you want.”

  Kayla shook her head.

“There’s no way I can sleep,” she said. “I had the best time and I just feel…” Kayla stopped, searching for the word. “I feel everything. I’m tired, my legs and feet are sore but I had the best time. I can’t wait to do it again.”

  Dylan chuckled.

“I’m glad you enjoyed it. If you’re not ready for bed, we can hit the hot tub and work out some of that soreness. The spa beside my pool has fantastic jets.”

  “I don’t have a suit,” she said.

“Your bra and panties are fine. No one is awake and it’s pretty dark out there.”

She looked at him, vacillating between asking him what his plans were and realizing that she was being a prude. Her bra and panties covered about as much as a bikini would, and it wasn’t like they would be in public.

  She finally nodded.

  “Alright. I think I will.”

He looked pleasantly surprised, but his shocked expression didn’t last long.

“I’ll show you the way,” he said.

“You’re not joining me?” she said.

  “You sound disappointed.”

  “I am.”

“I didn’t want to intrude,” he said.

“You won’t be. I could use the company.” She took his hand, smiling shyly. “I had such a wonderful time, I just don’t want the night to end.”

“I understand,” he said. “It’s the first time in a long time that I didn’t have to stop myself from staring at my watch.”

They went out the doors to the pool area and into the cool night air.

“Can you help me out of the dress? I don’t want to snag it or get it too close to the water.”

She turned, not even waiting for him to answer. She felt his hand on her back, and the zipper being pulled down slowly. The air was chilly against her back, causing her to shiver.

  “Cold?”

“Yes,” she said, but it was more than just the cold and she knew it.

All night, his every touch had been setting her nerves afire, and her body was reacting to having been inches from his all night long. She’d danced in his arms and he had danced right into her heart.

The dress slid to the floor, and she carefully stepped out of it. Dylan laid it over a chair on the deck, taking her strap
py heels and putting them beneath the chair before stripping down to his boxer briefs. Then looking at her, he took his boxers off and tossing them in the pile, too.

He got into the spa, taking a seat with his back to her and the house, looking out into the wilderness and the star filled sky. Kayla shook her head, not surprised by his bold move. Dylan was a man that did as he wanted, and her presence wasn’t going to stop that.

She shrugged, though he couldn’t see her, slipping into the water beside him and looking out at the beautiful view.

“It’s so perfect here,” she said in awe.

  “It is.”

  “You’re lucky.”

“In more ways than I can count.”

She looked at him, trying to get a read on his face.

“I’ve never met anyone like you,” she said finally.

“I’m sure you have; you just didn’t know it.”

“I don’t know, you are different. You have all this money, but you make no apologies for who you are. Your attitude is refreshing.”

  He laughed.

“I can’t say that I’ve heard those words before, but thank you.”

He scooted to the side, hand reaching out to grab her leg floating in the hot, bubbling water and placing her foot on his leg under the water. His hands went to work on her arches, rubbing roughly and deeply, working all the soreness out before he moved up to her ankle and calf. She watched him, the soft moonlight illuminating his face in the darkness.

“I’m glad you’re here,” he said abruptly.

“I am too,” she whispered. “I wasn’t sure about coming here, but it feels right now.”

He left her first leg in his lap and grabbed the second, giving it the same treatment.

“You’re playing with fire,” she said.

  “I don’t mind the heat.”

He slid closer, moving her so that she was almost on his lap, legs still across his. His hand was on her cheek, thumb caressing her lips lightly.

“Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?”

  She smiled.

He leaned forward, kissing her tentatively. Hands in her hair, he gently pulled her closer. She opened her mouth to him, sliding forward until she was on his lap. Her arms went around his neck and she deepened the kiss before pulling back. A gentle smile tugged at her lips and she turned, straddling him in the hot water.

She moved against him, teasing him through the fabric of her silky panties.

  “Hello,” he said.

  Kayla laughed.

She kissed him, and continued moving against him.

She felt her bra come undone and slide off her arm. He tossed the soaked garment onto the deck, his hands cupping her large breasts and squeezing them.

She was still kissing him as she tugged at her panties, shifting around in the water until she could pull them off, tossing them in the general direction of the deck and throwing herself back into his arms.

The softness of her core was against his rigid shaft, arms wrapped tightly around his neck when he looked into her eyes.

  “Are you sure?” he asked.

  “I want you.”

His face changed then, eyes smoldering with the need he’d been holding back. She slid onto him, taking the length of him. His hands went to her hips. She moved against him quickly, drawing her pleasure from him, kissing his frantically as she moved closer and closer to her orgasm.

She watched as she thrust, nipping at his lower lip playfully. He was breathing hard, her tightness drawing moan after moan out of his mouth.

“I’ve been dreaming of this,” he said, struggling to hold his composure as she writhed atop him with wild abandon.

Her climax crashed into her all at once, ripping a strangled cry from her throat without warning. He captured her mouth in his, quieting her screams of pleasure that echoed in the quiet night.

Moments later, her joined her, body convulsing with pleasure and need. He moaned into her mouth and pulled her close. He held her tight, whispering her name over and over. Kayla flew apart in his arms. Her head fell back, cries of pleasure dissolving into throaty laughter.

He had gone still beneath her, holding tight to her, his head resting between her breasts as he tried to catch his breath.

He was still hard within her, and with a wicked grin she clenched her body around him.

“The sun is about to rise,” she said. “Let’s make this sunrise a memorable one.”

She didn’t have to ask him twice.

  ***

Kayla woke up to a tiny chirp on her cellphone. Looking at the clock, she groaned. It was after one and she was still in bed. They hadn’t gone to bed until well after seven, making love several more times in the spa before taking a dip in the ice-cold swimming pool in the first light of early morning.

As promised, she had a notification letting her know of a deposit made into her account. She checked her balance, not even shocked by the extra money he’d deposited above their original agreement. He had mentioned in the limo that he hadn’t offered her enough for her company, and she knew better than to argue with him. He was going to do what he wanted, and she might as well be gracious about it.

There was a text message from an unknown number, and an attachment that prompted her to accept it for download. She clicked before she thought about it, wondering if she should scan it for a virus or something before she accepted it.

The picture was large, loading slowly. The colors were off, and Kayla knew in an instant that it was an old photo. The message with the photo was strange.

I thought you should know the truth about the man that you’re sleeping with, it said.

Kayla’s stomach sank. It had to be James. How did he know that they had slept together?

She was shaking. Tossing the phone on the bed while the photo loaded, she hurriedly got dressed in the large guestroom that was serving as her bedroom. By the time she was dressed, the picture had loaded.

It was Kayla at age ten, wide grin with a spray of freckles across her tiny nose as she sat happily on Santa’s lap. She recognized the venue. It was a Christmas party at the group home she lived at until she had been taken in by a foster family at eleven. This picture was taken a few months before that.

Beside her was a boy about two or three years older than her. She gasped when she recognized the dark green eyes and the naughty smirk that had gotten the boy in so much trouble.

“Lane!” she said, covering her mouth in shock and then sitting there, dumbfounded.

She was still shaking when there was a gentle knock on the door and Dylan entered with a plate and cup in hand.

“I brought breakfast and…” He looked at her face and immediately set the food down on the dresser by the door. “Kayla, what’s wrong?”

“Why didn’t you tell me that you were Lane?”

  He cursed under his breath.

“So you knew,” she accused. “You knew who I was and you kept this from me?”

“I didn’t know if you remembered me.”

“How could I forget you? You protected me from the other kids in the group home. You’re the only one that stood up to one of the workers who slapped me so hard I fell down. Then one day you were just gone and I was alone in that hell hole. Why didn’t you tell me who you were?”

Tears were streaming down her face.

“Kayla, I’m sorry. I meant to tell you, but when I saw you at the diner, I knew that what I had meant to say was not good enough.”

“And this place? How did you go from being a foster kid to this?”

Her reached for her but she waved him off.

“Answer the question. I have to know. I waited for you.”

“I couldn’t help it. I didn’t want to leave you. The man who adopted me was a great uncle. He was childless, and he found out that I was his only living relative. He had spent his life building his fortune and he had no heir, no family and a wife that was desperate to be a mother. When he found me, he adopted me that week.

“Money sure does open a lot of doors,” she said angrily.

“It’s not like that, Kayla. I begged them daily to adopt you too. I couldn’t bear the thought of you alone there, with no one to protect you. When I finally convinced my new parents to adopt you, you were already gone and they wouldn’t tell us where you went.”

“How did you even find me? It’s been twelve years. Why now?”

“I’ve been looking for you since I turned eighteen. I spent six years looking for you. Then one day, about a year ago, I saw an article online about out-of-the-way diners. Nick’s place was featured. It took me months to find out where the place was located, and then months to figure out what I was going to do with the information.”

  “So you watched me?”

“I did. And when I saw that you were barely scraping by, I knew that I had to do something. But you were so, well you were you and I realized that I couldn’t just throw money at you.”

This time when he went to her she let him, leaning into his embrace and dissolving into fresh, hot tears. She sobbed against him for the little girl she had been, and for the young man desperate to save the only person he’d ever gotten close to.

“I’m sorry, Kayla, I should have told you. But I’m a different person now. And I wanted to make sure that you saw me and not some memory of me. I’m not Lane anymore.”

“Did you think it would matter to me what you called yourself? You’re still you.”

“I’m sorry, so sorry. Please forgive me.”

She looked at him then, at the desperation in his eyes that was so unlike him, and she knew.

He loved her, and he always had.

  ***

“I don’t like this, Kayla,” said Dylan.

“I know, but I don’t know what else to do. He’s not going to stop and the police won’t do anything until he actually does something. Don’t worry. I’m just going to meet with him, threaten him with an order of protection and ask him to back off. He’s not a bad person.”

“There’s got to be a better way.”

“It’s in public and nothing is going to happen. I’ll text you when we’re done meeting and you can come into the restaurant to get me, so I’ll never be alone.”
