“No. I’m taking my morning off; I believe you suggested it.”

“I know I did, but I just got home and need to sleep.”

“I just went to bed thinking I didn’t have to get up until two.”

“I’m sorry, but please.” I can hear her whiny voice from where I’m lying.

“Hang on.” He covers his phone. “How about I take the afternoon off, and we go to the beach?” I nod. I don’t get my hopes up because I’ve been noticing that Sally has a way of screwing up our plans. I start to get up as he ends the call with Sally. “Where do you think you’re going?”

“I’m going to get a shower, and then head to breakfast with my man. You have work, and I have laser tag.” He argues with me, telling me I can sleep, but I inform him that if he isn’t sleeping next to me then what’s the point? Our time together is limited, and I don’t want to waste a second of it. We shower together, each slowly getting the other off. When I go back to Pennsylvania, showering is going to suck.

We make our way to the dining room, and I see Max. I come up behind him and scare him, laughing when he jumps. “What the fuck?” Max turns his head and spots me. “Squirt, you scared me. What are you doing up? I figured you’d still be sleeping.” He shakes Cash’s hand.

“Sally decided to take the morning off. She had some morning appointments that needed some attention. Don’t ever go into business with your sister. They think they can run your life.”

“Hey you met my sister, she does run my life,” I punch him, and he pretends it hurt. Sitting down at the table, Max announces, “I need to go shopping for a tux for this event.”

“You don’t have to be in a tux. I’m sure a lot of people will be, and me as well, but I have to, I own this place.” Several staff members approach our table with questions for Cash all during breakfast. He’s polite to them and answers their questions even when they ignore his request to wait.

After breakfast, Cash leaves to start work, and we make plans to meet up for lunch since I’ll be busy all morning. Laser tag was so much fun, but I can’t wait to hug Cash. I sent a text to him, but he was busy and wouldn’t be able to meet with me so the five of did lunch together. After lunch, the lack of sleep starts catching up with me and I start yawning and falling asleep. I decide to head back to the hotel to take a nap before dinner. Searching for Cash to let him know my plans, I turn the corner and run into Jenny. She tells me that he’s on the phone and it’s okay to walk in.

  CASH

I can’t believe Sally isn’t here yet again. I’d made it very clear to her that I needed her here to help with the preparations for the event. We have three days before the New Year’s Eve party, and she’s my party planner. This party is her baby, all her idea and I’m left in the dark as to what she’s planned. All of her files are with her, so with the questions coming in, I’ve had no choice but to tell the staff to call her. I’m so frustrated and pissed off that I’m considering letting her buy me out or me buying her out. I hear Jenny tell someone that I’m not busy and to walk right in, which annoys me even further. I have a million things to do and can’t be interrupted.

Hearing the soft knock on the door brings an unexpected smile to my face. I know right away that’s it’s my girl. Opening the door, I pull her into my office, pushing her up against the door as I slam it shut and lock it. My lips capture hers, and I start removing her clothes. My need for her is evident, and she frantically tries to remove mine. As soon as she’s naked, I walk her to my desk, spinning her around and pushing her down. I plant kisses on her back and ass cheek, my hands working to rid me of my remaining clothing. I slide into her, and she gasps. The noises she makes when I’m in her turn me on even more. I move slowing in and out of her, and she breathes out an annoyed sigh.

She turns her head and glares at me. “I don’t want slow but fast and hard.”

“What if I want slow?” I fire back.

“If you want that, then take me to bed. I’m bent over your desk, so that means I want you to fuck me. Now are you going to disappoint me?” She bats her eyes at me. I smack her ass and pound her pussy like I was born to do.

She wiggles her ass and my control snaps. I pull out and slam into her, and she squeals. I’m moving in and out of her fast and hard. She reaches down to rub her clit; her breathing gets faster, and she screams my name as she lets go. I don’t stop even when she puts her head down on my desk, trying to catch her breath, and come back down from her orgasm.

The sounds coming from the both of us are making me burn, my lust for her is overwhelming. I take my right hand to reach around and latch onto her nipple. I roll it in my fingers and squeeze. I adjust Abby by pushing on her back to get her ass up in the air allowing me to go deeper. I must be hitting the right spot because she moans and arches her back. I grunt out her name as I pump her full of my cum and then rest my head on her ass. She’s mumbling “Oh, my God,” repeatedly. We get our breathing under control, and I pull out of her and grab some tissues to clean ourselves up. She turns around and sits down on my desk completely naked.

“Wow. I just came in here to see how your day was going and to tell you that I was taking a nap,” she says as I wipe between her legs and thighs.

“I wasn’t expecting to fuck you; it just sort of happened,” I tell her as I kiss her thigh.

“Well, it was a nice surprise. Do you want to pass me my clothes so I can get dressed?” She holds out her hand.

“Do I have to? I kind of like you sitting naked on my desk.” I cross my arms and give her that smug look that drives her crazy. She doesn’t like my cockiness.

“Yes, you have to before someone walks in here. But hey, if you don’t mind your staff seeing me completely naked and spread eagle on your desk then I’m okay with it,” she jokes in her sweet voice as she turns to face the door with her legs open. She knows that she got me good.

I pick up her clothes to toss them to her, “You only get them because no one else gets to see you naked but me,” I tell her as I kiss her. We both gets dressed quickly as I don’t want my staff seeing me naked. I’d never live that down.

“How’s your day going?” Abby asks as she handed me my shoes.

“It’s busy. I have so many people calling me about the event, and I don’t know the answers. I didn’t plan it and its pissing me off that Sally hasn’t been here yet. I told the vendors to call her cell phone or even her home phone.” Just then my door flies open. Speak of the devil. Sally is in the doorway, and she’s furious.

“Do you think you’re funny?” She throws her cell phone at me. “It won’t stop ringing, and I’m probably going to have to change my number.”

“They were asking questions and needing final answers that I didn’t have. I had no choice but to send them to you. I’m sorry if this was a problem, but we have a lot of people coming to your event in a few short days,” I remind her, noticing that Abby is starting to slip out the door. “Abby, are you leaving?”

She stops rather quickly, looking back. “Yes. Just giving you two some privacy so you can get to work. I’ll see you for dinner?” I move to her side.

“Do you want to dine in or go out somewhere?” I can hear Sally huffing and puffing.

“Abby, be gone. Cash! Are you listening to me?”

“Sally, shut the fuck up! Abby?”

“Why don’t you pick the place and we can go out. Will it just be the two of us?” she asks as we lace our fingers.

“If you want your friends to join us, I can make that reservation. I’m happy either way. Sally, you can wait until I’m done making plans for tonight for us to continue our discussion,” I inform her. She rolls her eyes at me.

“Okay make it for the six of us and I’ll let them know. Say about seven?”

“Sounds good, my love.” I kiss her goodbye, and she whispers that she loves me in my ear.

“I can’t believe you’re paying for their meals when you guys go out,” Sally’s voice portrays her anger.

  “First
of all, keep your mouth shut when it comes to Abby and her friends. I have not paid for anything. In fact, they won’t let me pay. They all take turns paying. Second of all, why do you even care? It is my goddamn money. If I want to spend it on hookers, I will.” I say when her eyes widen at my comment.

“I worry about you. I don’t want people taking advantage of you,” she admits as she sits down.

“Right, because you want to be the only one taking advantage of me,” I reply, as I look up restaurants to make a reservation for dinner.

“What the fuck does that mean? I don’t take advantage of you,” she shouts.

“Really? Who hasn’t been to work since the day before Christmas Eve? Who called me up and told me that I had to take the meetings? Who didn’t show up when I told her that I couldn’t cover her meetings? If an employee did that to you, you would fire them on the spot. You wanted me to call Jenny in who couldn’t even walk without coughing up a lung. So tell me, what are we going to do?” I slam my fist down and made her jump.

“I don’t ever take a vacation. Who cares that I asked for time off? So sue me.” She starts to get defensive.

“Sally. You didn’t ask for time off; you demanded it! You can take vacation whenever you want BUT, Make sure your meetings are rescheduled and we don’t have a significant event that still needs to be finalized. I brought you on because you wanted to do this with me, but you can’t be pulling this shit. You may be part owner and my sister, but you are still an employee. You’d do well to remember that. If this happens again, I will dissolve our partnership, either by buying you out or selling my share to someone.”

Sally doesn’t like my response at all if the way she starts to storm out is any indication. She slams my door and then two minutes later, walks back in. “You would get rid of me? Cut me out of your life?”

“No, you’re my sister, and I could never cut you out of my life. However, as business partners, we need to keep our relationship out of it. I love you, Sally, but when we’re at work, I need a partner, not a sister.”

“I didn’t know you felt that way. Is this the influence of her?” She says her in disgust.

“No it isn’t the influence of her, but it is because of her. I’m in love, Sally, and she leaves two days after the ball. I want to spend as much time with her as I can but have to cover your work and mine too, I’m not going to be able to do that. I thought you understood that, but apparently my life isn’t as valuable as yours,” I say as I get up and leave the office to give Jenny some papers. Sally follows me.

“Did you say that you love her?” Sally seems shocked and Jenny smiles up at me.

“Oh, I’m so happy for you!” Jenny jumps up and hugs me. “I just love her.”

“Hey me too!” I say laughing, ignoring the disgusted look on Sally’s face. The phone rings and Sally’s appointment arrives. I head back to my office to finish up my work so I can join Abby for dinner. I make reservations for my favorite Italian place outside of the city. It’s a hole in the wall that I stumbled upon one night. Sally and I will have to wait for another day to fight it out.

  ABBY

“Abby. Abby.” Someone is whispering in my ear. “Time to get up.” A hand trails up my thigh. I moan and spread my legs. “Oh, what a naughty girl.” I open one eye and see Cash sitting on the bed with a smile on his face.

“What time is it?” I ask yawning and sitting up. I’d come up to the room to try and figure out how to fix his relationship with Sally. I would hate if I was the cause of it.

“It’s four-thirty. The reservation is for seven, but it’s about a forty-five -minute drive, so we need to leave by five-thirty,” he explains as he gets up and walks over to the bar.

“Bad day?” I ask watching him down two scotches in a row. He gets on more scotch then heads to sit on the sofa. He looks so sad, and it’s breaking my heart.

“Sally. She had the nerve to tell me that she doesn’t like me paying for everything and apparently you’re an evil influence. She doesn’t want you taking advantage of me.”

“Um, can I just say that you can’t take advantage of the willing?” I tell him as I laugh and climb in his lap.

“Please keep taking advantage of me,” he says with a kiss. “I told her that the only one taking advantage of me is her. I explained that when we’re at work, we need to leave our family ties at the door. If any other employee did that to me, they would have been fired.”

“I’m sorry if I’m the reason for all this fight—” He cuts me off.

“She’s the problem, not you.” He pulls me closer, and we sit in silence for a few minutes.

“We should probably get ready. I need to text everyone to let them know that we have to leave earlier than what we thought.” I send the text messages out and head to the bathroom. Cash comes up behind me, moving my hair to the side to kiss the side of my neck. I love the intimacy between us. We don’t need to be banging each other all the time, just being together like this is enough for us. We talk about our parents or rather he talks about his and I just listen. I don’t like talking about my parents, and I think he knows that.

After getting dressed, we head down to the floor that Sarah, Max, Aaron, and Rob are staying on, and I knock on the door as I forgot my key card. Sarah flings open the door and smiles at us. “It’s about damn time. The boys aren’t ready yet. They always complain about us never being ready but here we are, waiting for them.” I laugh as we sit on the bed to wait for them.

“What did you do after lunch?” I ask as she gets up to bang on the door to Aaron and Rob’s room.

“I napped. Hey, we’re on vacation, and I told myself that I’m allowed.”

“I napped too after I went to see Cash in his office.” I must blush because Cash starts to laugh and tries to cover it up with a cough. Sarah wiggles her eyebrows at me, and I know she’s figured out what happened. She’ll make me spill the details later. The guys finally emerge from their right at five-thirty.

“Hello, beautiful people, ready to go?” Aaron asks. Max joins us, and we head out into the hall to get the elevator. The ball and what we’re going to wear is the hot topic of conversation, with Sarah and I making plans to have our hair done for the event.

We climb into the SUV, and Max lets Cash drive. I think he’s warming up to him because they chat and joke around with each other. My phone chimes and I look down to see Sarah has messaged me.

  Sarah: Max likes Cash.

  Abby: Really?!?!?!

Sarah: Yeah we were talking about it today after lunch.

Abby: I love him, Sarah. He loves me.

  Sarah: Aww. What happens now?

Abby: He already booked his flight for Valentine’s Day. He’s going to stay the week.

Sarah: That’s awesome. I’m so happy for you.

We stop texting when we pull up to the restaurant. Cash tells us the place is run by a local and one of his favorite places to dine. We walk in, and Cash gives them his name. The hostess leads us to our table, and we order drinks while looking over the menu. Looking around, I love the décor and feel of the place. The tables are round and squared with red tablecloths; each has either glass bowls with flowers floating in them or candles as their centerpieces. The restaurant is packed; almost all the tables are filled, and everyone seems to be having a good time. We drink our wine and laugh, enjoying each other’s company. Our meal is to die for; Cash is right to have named this as the best Italian restaurant around. We all ordered something different so we could each try them. I don’t think we tried a dish we didn’t like. By the time we finish dessert, it’s almost midnight and the staff inform us that they wanted to close up. Cash paid for dinner, ignoring our protests.

“This is one of my favorite places in the world, and I wanted to bring you guys here,” Cash brushes off our argument. As we leave, Sarah suggests we head down to the beach, since the moon is shining brightly. Cash drives again, and when we get there, we all beeline for the sand. Sarah and I link arms ignoring the guys
as they talk about sports.

“I could get use to nights like this,” I tell her, and she looks sad.

“Are you moving here?” she asks in a hushed tone.

  “I don’t know. I haven’t thought about it.”

She looks back at Cash and smiles. “I think you have thought about it but won’t tell me.”

“I mean, yeah I thought about what it would be like to never leave him. But I can’t leave you or Max. I’d be too lonely.” I hug her tight. We finish our midnight stroll and drive back to the hotel. Cash and I say goodnight to everyone and head back to his room. He turns on the bedside lamp, and I start to get undressed, pausing when he tells me to stop.

  “Why?” I ask, confused.

“I want you to take off your clothes slowly. Seductively.” He climbs into bed and props his hands behind his head. I shake my head. Seeing that he’s serious, I follow his instructions and take my clothes off slowly. I let each piece fall in a mock strip tease, feeling more empowered watching his eyes glaze over with desire. Naked, I climb in bed with him, waiting for him to make the next move. We spend the entire night making love, falling asleep in each other’s arms.

  CASH

When my alarm goes off, I quickly shut it off as to not wake Abby. Tonight is the night of the New Year’s Eve Ball; the last few days have flown by with preparing for it. I need to get myself up and oversee some of the work. I want Abby to sleep because I knew she had a long day of beauty and spa treatments, whatever that means. I heard her crying in the bathroom last night when she got out of the shower. I didn’t get in until late, and I don’t think she realized that I was here. I hate that this situation is making her cry. I don’t have all the answers for her, all I can do is try to get her to understand that we will see each other and make it work. I’m not going to let her go, and I’ll fight her every step of the way if she tries to leave me.
