She glanced at him over her shoulder. “I prefer you, but—”

“Oh, don’t worry, greedy girl. You’re getting me,” he said with a spark in his eyes setting a tingle to her core.

The passion in his eyes caressed her in such an intimate way she quivered. She moved her head to face the pillows again, worried if she looked intently at him she’d come too fast.

He slid his finger between her cheeks with one hand while the other intensified the rhythm of the dildo. If she should experience discomfort, she didn’t this time. The waves of pleasure threatening to explode inside her kept her too busy.

He put some lube inside her, which helped even more. The warm liquid made it easier for him to play with her hole and get her ready for what was to come. Meanwhile at her front, the dildo vibrated against her walls, and she could feel another coat of her cream glazing the device.

Graham placed his cock at the opening of her anus, but as he entered her she didn’t feel the pain she’d expected. Discomfort? Yes. But he worked her pussy so blatantly, leaving her so ready for her third orgasm that she couldn’t process anything else but pleasure.

“Fuck, baby, you’re so tight,” he said, his voice strained. “I love your hole like I love everything about you, Kate.”

His words rocked her to another dimension. Her elbows bucked under her, and her face slammed onto the pillow. The encouragement he needed to move inside her anus as he shoved the dildo deeper, speeding up the torture. She swung her hips against his cock, getting used to his thick shaft filling her. He started to withdraw and thrust, like he usually did with her pussy, and she took in the sound of their bodies slapping together, his balls smacking her flesh, his groaning every time he plunged deeper. She screamed his name, her body shaking so much she found it amazing he kept pounding her ass. He stopped moving the vibrator her as she came, and held her waist to keep her on her knees otherwise she would have just flattened on the bed, exhausted.

He tossed the dildo across the bed. Curious, she peeked at him over her shoulder, the simple effort taking a lot out of her. He held the stare, his face so intense and the sight of him claiming her ass still enticing.

“You like slamming my back door, don’t you?” she said.

He pounded her deeper. “I love it. You have the sexiest ass and I was dying to smash it. Can I go faster?”

“Yes,” she said, a bit too quickly.

He clenched her waist to hold her steady, and his rhythm quickened. She tilted her face down again, and glanced at the pillow. A moan left her lips, and she closed her eyes, too overwhelmed. Little throbs of exhaustion tingled her sweat-slicked body.

“Touch yourself for me, baby. Play with your naughty clit,” he said, his voice breathless.

“I don’t think I can come anymore.” She’d had sex sessions with him where she came a few times but tonight it had been far too intense. Her heart leaped to her throat every time he thrust his immense cock into her.

He caressed her ass, his fingers making a pattern as if to convince her otherwise. “One more time. Let’s come together, dirty girl. Please.”

She slid her hand down and touched herself, palming the apex of her thighs at first.

“Touch yourself like the dirty girl who fantasized about me all those years. Me fucking you. You did, didn’t you?”

“Yes, baby, I did,” she said, and he smacked her right bottom. A trill of excitement rippled through her, and she thrust two fingers into her drenching wet sex. “Oh yes.”

“What happened when you thought of me?” He swatted the other buttock, and waves of pleasure formed within her.

“I–I teased my clit but didn’t go further because I wanted to keep my pussy tight and intact for you,” she said, hoping her lungs wouldn’t give out. Between his quick thrusts and her own playing with herself, stringing words together seemed impossible. Her breath came out in pants.

“Good girl. What did you think when you thought of me?”

“I thought of you fucking my brains out . . . fucking my mouth . . . sucking my tits. Fucking me anyway you wanted and I’d let you because I love you so much. And I want you so much,” she said, her finger flicking her clit vigorously. “Your pleasure means everything, baby. When you’re hard for me I get so happy. I love it when you let me suck that big cock and come all over me like you own me. Because you do and you always will. Your cock will rule me as long as you let me. I’m yours,” she said, moaning. Her body shook, unable to control anymore.

With one more slam, he growled and released into her. She fell on the bed, his cum dripping from her thighs and onto the sheets. God. This man was her soul mate. And she’d leave him in a month.

  Chapter 10

  Two weeks later…

“Did Preston sign the contract yet?” Graham asked.

“I just heard from his lawyer. The last draw is a go. They’ll email it later today,” Sheri said.

Graham clapped his hands. “Yes!” Tonight there would be celebrating. He’d take Kate to a fabulous restaurant and start it then.

Sheri beamed with approval. “You worked hard for it.”

“We’ve all worked hard. I’ll give you a bonus for your efforts.”

She winked at him. “I like in-love Graham. A lot more relaxed,” she said, then left his office.

He sat down on the leather chair and opened his email account. Negotiations with Preston had gone smoother than expected, and faster too. Amanda agreed to provide the beverages—Graham could have stiffed her if he wanted and done the deal without her, but he wouldn’t. Besides her temporary cattiness, Amanda’s ambitions had brought Mark one degree closer to nailing the deal. Despite being a former flame, Amanda deserved respect as a badass businesswoman.

“Graham, Kate and Clarence are here to speak to you. It’s urgent,” Sheri’s voice announced through the intercom.

“Let them in,” he said for the sake of saying; when his gaze raised to the door, Kate and Clarence were already entering his office. “Have a seat. What’s up?” he asked.

Clarence sat in front of him, but Kate stood behind him, fiddling with her pendant necklace. “We have a room with a glitch in the system. Every so often, it would show as dirty but if we sent someone to check it, it was actually clean.”

  “Go on,” he said.

Kate shifted her weight from foot to foot, and concern flickered in her blue eyes.

“We talked to a couple of housekeepers and tried to understand. We also blamed the new software and had the techie come over for an assessment, but nothing seemed to make sense. Until Kate went to check on it today because we’re hoping to be sold out tonight.”

  “And?” he asked.

“I ran into a housekeeper having sex with a maintenance guy,” Kate said, her voice steady.

Graham let out a sigh. Owning four hotels in Hawaii for the past two decades he’d seen it all, including a celebrity overdosing once or twice. Nothing shy of a dead body in one of his hotels alarmed him. “Okay. Are Human Resources taking care of it?” He pinched the bridge of his nose.

“That’s the problem, sir.” Clarence cleared his throat and looked tentatively at Kate. “Kate’s making a big deal and I’ve been explaining to her what the procedures are—

Kate stepped forward. “I can’t let you fire those two. They have bills to pay like everyone.”

Graham picked a pen from the holder and clicked it. “Are you serious? They had sex at the work place. They lied about the state of the room, while other departments tried to figure out what happened. Not to mention the sexual harassment possibilities,” he said matter-of-factly.

“They love each other. I speak Spanish and talked to them.”

“Then they should have waited until they were off the clock,” he said, his voice commanding. He surged to his feet and shook his head. Kate crossed her arms, and leaned against the glass wall like she waited for him to keep talking. Shit.

Clarence’s cell phone buzzed in his pocket. “We need to act soon
.”

  “Where are they?” Graham asked.

“They’re in the break room now,” Clarence said. “I was going to go straight to HR but Kate here—

“I’ll deal with Kate,” he said to Clarence, but his eyes pinned her to stop. The main vein on her neck pulsed, and his fingers itched to touch it. “You go downstairs and tell HR to suspend them with pay while we figure this out.”

Clarence stood. “All right. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks,” he said, and headed out, closing the door behind him.

“What’s going on, Kate? You’re here to learn and you must know there’s not a way we can keep them both working here,” he said.

She shook her head, hands perched at her waist. “Because they had sex? Don’t you think it’s hypocritical to think this way given our situation and all the places in this hotel where we screwed?”

  “That’s different.”

“Why?” she challenged him. “Because you’re the owner?”

“Yes,” he said, but the moment the word escaped his mouth, acid spilled into his stomach. Shit. He’d always led by examples besides this one time. “It’s different, Kate. I didn’t lie to my bosses and have people go looking for a problem that didn’t exist. I didn’t provoke less revenue because I typed the room was dirty when it wasn’t so I could screw around. They put our reputation at jeopardy. What if a guest walked in on them?” he said, hoping his serious stance would convince her.

“I talked to her, she’s very regretful. This is the only place they can meet because she lives with her family and her mother hates him,” she said, leaning closer. Her expression softened, and her voice pleaded instead of ordering.

He scratched the back of his neck. “Maybe her mother has a point.”

“She hates him because he’s a maintenance guy. She wants her daughter to marry someone with money. Isn’t such prejudice wrong?”

Good grief. How long did she talk to the housekeeper to know her life story? “You’re a romantic, aren’t you?” He touched her nose.

“I’m someone who cares about people. And I want you to be the boss who does too and not just a go-by-the-book Corporate America type.”

“Why?” Why did she care so damn much?

“Because I can’t be in love with someone who’s that guy.” She stroked his jaw with the back of her hand, but this time there was no sexual energy between them. His skin tingled, sure, but for a different reason. Damn it. He loved her too—and couldn’t admit to it while she persuaded him to help a random couple.

He cleared his throat and stepped away from her. “They can’t work in the same property together. Ever. I’ll transfer him to another hotel and she can stay in this one. But if either of them acts out again, they’re done.”

  She clapped. “Thank you.”

“Later today, meet me in the parking lot. We’re going somewhere.” He’d take her out to dinner at his favorite place, and tell her how he felt about her. He loved her and wouldn’t let her get away.

“Going somewhere?” Aaron asked when she stopped by the front desk to pick up a new key to her room.

She smoothed the knee-length sleeveless black dress. Of course, she’d meant to put a jacket on top, but she forgot and now Aaron furrowed his brows at her as she walked around the counter and logged into the system to have access.

“He’s not going to make you his girlfriend, you know,” he said, coming closer to her.

“What are you talking about?” she glanced at him.

  “You know. The big boss.”

She swallowed a big lump in her throat, but stretched her full height to show confidence. “This isn’t any of your business.”

He lifted both hands in a defensive gesture. “Hey, I’m just trying to be a friend.”

Really? Because you’ve tried to be more than a friend without success. She curled her fingers into a fist and wish she could land it on Aaron’s face. God. Why was she so worked up? “Thank you for being such a caring friend,” she said, flexing her fingers and slapping on a smile. “But I can take care of myself.” She slid the keycard into the modern device and grabbed it again after it pinged and produced the new key.

“I hope so. He’s done this before, you know. I heard Amanda was heartbroken when he kicked her to the curb.”

Her pulse spiked. “Goodbye, Aaron,” she said, sliding out of the large, moon-shaped front desk counter and walking out of the hotel. A couple of doormen greeted her, and she waved back, then continued striding further into the parking lot.

Anyone with a brain would know Aaron wanted to get the best of her. She was no fool. He’d been interested in her initially, maybe still was, and she’d shut him down and then ignored him. He’d suspected she’d carried on an affair with a rich, better-looking older man and came to his own conclusions.

A light breeze curled the tips of her hair. She smiled when she saw Graham’s car pull up near her, and her heart skipped a beat or two. Her petty opinion of Aaron dissipated the moment Graham slid out of the car and walked around to open her door and help her in.

“I missed you,” he said when she secured her safety belt.

  “Me too.”

He turned on the engine of the sports car, and she wondered if he’d gotten any awesome business news. A smile played with his lips as if he had just received an award. He drove them out of the beach area and into the road, with his hand holding the steering wheel in a relaxed way. She couldn’t wait to hear what he had to say, but ruining the news delivery wasn’t in her plans.

“Did you have a good day?” she asked.

“Yes. A great day, thanks to you.”

“I thought you’d be mad at me for interfering,” she said.

“No. You always surprise me, Kate.” He flashed her a sideway glance, and his cobalt eyes sparked. “One of the reasons why I love you,” he said in a soft voice filled with honesty . . . the type that could soothe crying babies to sleep.

A searing sensation throbbed at her chest and radiated through her body. She turned to him right away, needing confirmation of what she’d just heard. She parted her lips, her jaw dropping a notch. He . . . loves me? “You do?” she asked, staring at him like she’d finally figured out a complicated math equation.

“Yes.” He glanced at her again, and the rather shy smile hinted he didn’t do this very often. Was Graham . . . a virgin at saying I love you? Happiness jolted through her.

She opened her mouth to speak, but then a blinding light occupied her field of vision, and when she blinked, confused, a pick-up truck crashed into his car. She wanted to scream, but the sound got trapped in her throat. A huge thump made her slam against the safety belt then hit her head against the headrest. The airbag blew up in her face, and Graham’s tortured scream was the last thing she heard before fading into black.

  Chapter 11

“I came as soon as I found out,” Jacob said, rushing into the waiting area. “Is Katie okay?”

Graham tapped his friend’s back, then nodded at him. Jacob’s eyes were red, his jaw stubbly. Clean-cut Jacob never forgot to shave, except when he woke up in the middle of the night with a phone call about his daughter. He’d hopped on a private plane immediately. “Yes, she is. She’s got a concussion and needs to be here overnight for observation but the doctors said it’s not serious. She’s resting now.”

Jacob paced the floor. “It could have been much worse.”

“It could have.” He ran his fingers down his face. “I talked to the cops, they’re charging the driver with DWI. I’m sorry, Jacob. I was driving in my lane and the truck came out of nowhere,” he said, thankful for nothing worse happening to Kate. He had been discharged with a few scratches hours ago, but because of the angle of the opposite vehicle, her injuries needed more medical care, albeit not critical.

“I understand. Where did you two go that late, a work function? I asked the receptionist but he said I should ask you.”

A cold knot formed in his stomach. He glanced around them, and b
esides a nurse who walked back to her station several feet away, no one else occupied the sterile room. “We were going out for dinner.”

Jacob nodded. “That’s nice of you, but you don’t have to keep entertaining her. You’re a busy man with your own life.”

The thankful look in Jacob’s face made Graham want to throw up. He ran his fingers through his hair, his brain worked overtime to justify what he was about to do. I can’t lie anymore. I love her and there’s no shame in that. “I wanted to. No chore for me. We were . . . together.”

Jacob’s blank expression gave nothing away. “Yes, you already told me.”

He cleared his throat. “No. We went out for a date.”

“What?” He chuckled. “You’re kidding me, right? Did you take her on a double date? Who’s the guy? Are you back with Amanda?”

Shit I have to spell it out to him. “Jacob. I’m dating your daughter. We’re together.”

Silence. Jacob drew back for a moment, his hand running down his face as he slowly processed the unexpected news.

“Son of a bitch.” Jacob launched at him, and even though he’d trained enough martial arts in the past to know how to avoid getting punched, Graham stood. In slow motion, he watched Jacob’s hand curl into a fist and Graham refused to flinch. Of course, Jacob had all the right in the world to be mad. And Graham deserved the punch. Therefore, he sucked in a breath a split second before Jacob’s hand landed on his nose.

Sharp pain throbbed on his flesh. It’d been a long time since he’d gotten a beating. When he’d gone to school as a kid and would get bullied for being the son of a nut and a whore, he’d learned to defend himself. He pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to keep the blood from dripping down but he was too late.

“Sir, are you okay?” a nurse who walked by asked. “What happened? I’m calling security.”
