She groaned her displeasure; opening her eyes, she looked down her body to see him smiling up at her. “Tease,” she grumbled.
He chuckled, then lowered his mouth to her once more. Removing his fingers from her core, his tongue quickly replaced them, pumping in and out of her needy channel, bringing her quickly back to her breaking point. She forced herself to watch him tongue fuck her, fisting the blanket below her and loving the sight of him devouring her.
As she approached the brink she began to buck against his mouth and fingers that were working her clit. So torturous. So wonderful. And then she hit it; she found herself suspended for what felt like an eternity of anguish and pleasure, her pussy clenching around his invading tongue and her stomach tightening.
Then. Finally. Sweet release. She cried out and felt lightheaded as her release came in a gush of pleasure and explosion of her juices greeting his tongue. He refused to let up, working her pussy and clit harder, creating a string of orgasms, leaving her spent and sated, spread out on the bed.
She was vaguely aware of him slipping her leg from his shoulder and standing. With a huge, satisfied grin on her face, which she was sure would be as goofy-looking as hell, but didn’t care, she opened her eyes and began to sit up but stopped herself.
Her bright, blue eyes widened and excitement reignited as she watched him standing before her, between her legs at the end of the bed, finishing himself off. His eyes locked with hers, the heat and desire in them so intense it sent a shiver down her spine. His hand stroked himself using firm, fluid motions.
She knew she should have returned the favour, offering to take him in her mouth, swallowing his seed, but he was such an arousing sight. She slid a hand between her legs and began to stroke herself, masturbating with him.
“Fuck, that’s sexy baby,” he managed to growl out, his eyes following her hand’s movements.
She let out a ragged breath and nodded. “God, you too. I love watching.”
He grinned, but the grin quickly faded as his body tensed, preparing for release. She was close as well, but not quite. She wanted to come with him, but needed more time – a little extra incentive.
Her incentive came when he groaned loudly, letting his head fall back, an expression of pure ecstasy crossing his face and a stream of his cum came shooting from him. Burst after burst of cum shot out from his dick, covering her mound and stomach.
The feel of his warm cum covering her sent her spiraling over the edge. She whimpered as her juices began to coat her fingers and hand. Panting hard she removed her hand and rubbed her mound and stomach, spreading his cum over her creamy skin.
“Mmmm, Gabby.” Colin leaned over her, kissing her softly. She could faintly taste her juices on his lips.
“Mmmm, Colin.”
Pulling back from her, Colin slid onto the bed and motioned for her to come to him. She did as requested, cuddling tight to his side, her head resting on his shoulder.
“That was nice,” she murmured, although nice hardly began to describe how she was feeling. She didn’t even care that she didn’t get to feel his big, beautiful shaft sinking into her. There’d be time for that. For now, she couldn’t be happier.
He brushed a strand of hair from her face and kissed the top of her head. “Better than nice.”
“Are you staying tonight?” She looked up at him. “No pressure or anything.”
He laughed, pulling her tighter to him. “Try and get rid of me.”
Chapter 11
She’s so beautiful, Colin mused as he watched her sleep, cradled next to him. He was having a bugger of a time getting to sleep, perhaps because his mind was swimming with thoughts of Gabby. When he’d dropped by to apologize and make things right, he hadn’t even entertained the idea that she’d be naked, lying in bed with him mewing softly in her sleep. He had no idea what he did to get such an amazing woman, but he was grateful for the chance with her.
He was about to close his eyes and drift off to sleep when the sound of scratching at the door and whimpering caught his attention. Fuck! Damn dog. He sighed. Deciding to ignore the dog, he closed his eyes and was moments away from sleep when the first bark came.
Fuck, fuck, fuck. I hate dogs!
Scared the dog was going to wake Gabriella, he carefully slid out from under her, taking care not to wake her and made his way across the room to the bedroom door. Pulling open the door, the dog attempted to get past him and into the bedroom, but he blocked Butch’s path, nudging him back across the threshold with his leg as he exited the bedroom, closing the door firmly behind him.
The dog looked up at him, his brown eyes accusing.
“Get used to seeing me, buddy.”
The dog huffed and gave its head a shake, showering Colin’s leg with doggie drool.
“Oh fuck me!” Colin growled under his breath, disgusted.
He made his way over to the sofa and their pile of clothes. “Of course.” He picked his shirt off of the sofa to find it covered in hair – dog hair – Butch’s hair. He looked over at the dog who was now sitting impatiently in front of the door – no doubt wanting out to use the bathroom.
The dog stared back as if mocking him. Yeah, it’s my hair, whatcha goin’ to do ‘bout it, tough guy, the look said to him.
“God, I hate animals,” Colin muttered, pulling on his pants, sans underwear and his shirt, cringing at the thought of all the hair. After a five-minute search of the apartment in the near dark – the only light guiding him was that of the streetlamps peeping through the living room window – he found the leash and her keys. He hooked the leash up to Butch’s collar, slipped on his shoes and the two made their way downstairs and out into the night air.
“Make it fast.”
The dog snorted and proceeded to begin sniffing the lamp post, the concrete steps leading up to the building, the bushes on either side of the walkway.
“Oh come on!”
The dog paused, shot a dirty look in Colin’s direction and continued its sniffing until Colin was led into the parking lot. Taking a liking to a Jeep Wrangler, Butch lifted his leg and christened the tire. Colin looked around them, praying the owner of the vehicle wasn’t lurking in the shadows watching. He or she wasn’t.
“Okay, come on Butch.” Colin gave the leash a tug, but Butch refused to budge; instead he continued sniffing.
A silver car pulled into the parking lot and into a slot a few feet away from him. Two older women Colin guessed to be in their seventies got out. He was about to give them a friendly wave in greeting when a foul look appeared on the face of the one who’d been driving and she glared up at him.
“I hope you’re planning on cleaning that up!” she growled at him, shaking a slender, wrinkled finger in his direction.
Colin’s brow furrowed as he attempted to figure out what she was talking about.
“The dog!”
He groaned inwardly as he looked down and discovered Butch had left an enormous, steaming present for him.
How can a pile of shit that big come from that animal? That should come from a horse – or elephant. Holy fuck!
“You’re the one who’s been leaving the turds all over the yard, aren’t ya?”
Colin focused his attention back to the two women. “I ummm. Well…”
“That’s against the law you know.” The woman wagged her finger at him again, scolding him.
“It isn’t me, honest.”
“I’m telling the super. What’s your name?” The woman turned her attention to her friend. “Do you have a pen Beatrice? I got to get his name, I’m reporting him!”
Thrusting a hand into his hair, he sighed in frustration. “Listen.”
“No, you listen.” Frustrated with waiting for her friend to produce a pen, the woman began searching through her own purse, for presumably a pen.
“I mean to say. This isn’t my dog.”
Her head perked back up and she glared at him again. “What do you mean it’s not your dog? Whose is it? You steal it?”
/>
Hell no!
“I’m visiting a friend. She’s asleep and the dog needed out. I forgot the poop bags. I apologize. It’ll never happen again.” Colin waited on bated breath that that was enough to calm her and she’d accept his apology. However, he wasn’t sorry, he was just sorry he got caught. Really sorry he got caught. There was no way in hell he would have picked up that steamy pile of shit. He found himself thankful at that moment that he lived in a house with a large fenced-in backyard for Oscar to do his business in.
Ending her search for a pen, the older woman pulled herself up to her full five feet and squared up to him. To his surprise and embarrassment, he took a step back and away from her. “I’ll be watching you,” she warned.
“Yes, Ma’am.”
Boy, if the guys at the agency could see me now… he mused.
She huffed and continued her way to the apartment, chattering with her friend as she walked.
Colin waited for the women to disappear into the building and get into the elevator before proceeding back into the building. The last thing he wanted was another run-in with her. She was old, but damn she was spry! He suspected she was a little hellcat when she was younger.
He glanced down at the pitbull and shook his head. “Animals, nothing but trouble.”

Gabriella groaned softly and attempted to block out the voice that was breaking through her deep sleep and bringing her to an awakened state.
“Go away,” she grumbled, grabbing the pillow from under her head and covering her head with it.
Strong hands grasped her shoulder and gave her a shake. Gabriella’s eyes sprung open and she tossed the pillow to the foot of the bed as she realized it wasn’t part of a dream and she wasn’t alone. She turned her head to the left to see Colin naked and stretched out alongside her, with a devilishly sexy grin on his face that normally would have made her weak in the knees.
The night came flashing back to her and she immediately felt a yearning for him. The caress of his hands, the feel of his body next to hers and the things that man could do with his tongue. Her body shivered and she fought to contain her growing desire.
“So…” He ran his fingertips back and forth along her bare hip.
“Uh-huh.” She caught her lower lip between her teeth, nibbling lightly.
“Aren’t you supposed to work today?”
Oh shit… She glanced over his shoulder and through the window to see the sun shining brightly outside. Oh shit, oh shit!
“What time is it?” She scrambled over him, pushing him flat against the mattress.
“Wait.” He grabbed her by the hips, forcing her to remain straddling him.
“Yes?” She planted a hand on either side of his head, looking down at him, her breasts brushing his chest.
He slid a hand behind her head and urged her mouth closer.
Oh crap! Morning breath! She pressed her lips tight together and shook her head.
His brow furrowed. “What?”
“Morning breath.”
“I’ll risk it.” He met her lips halfway, but unlike the heated, passionate kisses of the night before Gabriella made it quick – both for fear of her dreaded morning breath and the fact if she spent too long in his arms, she’d never get to work.
“I gotta get ready.” She slid off of him and onto the floor. “What time is it?” She dreaded the answer.
“Nine.”
“Oh shit!” She sprinted across the room to the closed door. “I was supposed to be at the shelter a half-hour ago!”
“Then you’d better hurry.”
Hearing the teasing tone in his voice and soft chuckling, she spun around and glared at him, forcing back the temptation to laugh with him. She wished she could stay and spend the day in his arms. He looked damned good lying in her bed, his hands behind his head – sinfully sexy.
“Shouldn’t you be going to work… or doing… whatever it is you do…”
He shrugged. “Taking the day off.”
She rolled her eyes. “‘Cause you can just do that, huh?”
“I caught the bad guy last week so I get to relax this week. A bunch of administrative stuff to do and I’ve got to go into New York for a bit. Nothing serious.”
“Well, if you want to stay here and hang out, feel free.” Giving in to her urges, she rushed back to him and got the kiss she really wanted from him, morning breath be damned! After indulging a minute or two she pulled back from him. “I’ll be home at five.” She shrugged, attempting to appear nonchalant. “You know, if you wanna do something.”
“I’ll be here.”
Good.

“You’re trying to tell me you two didn’t have sex.”
“Nope. No sex. Yet.”
“Maybe it’s for the best. I think you should tread lightly with him.”
“What do you mean by that?” Gabby threw a ball for five dogs to chase. As soon as the ball left her hand the dogs were in hot pursuit, rushing across the yard.
“I mean, he’s too charming. And what the fuck was with his partner,” Tonya made air quotes with her fingers, “being naked at his house?”
“He said he couldn’t talk about their assignment. Classified.” The dogs returned; the Lab mix had been the first to the ball and was presenting it to her. She took the slobbery ball from him and chucked it again.
Tonya huffed, rolling her eyes. “Yeah. Convenient if you ask me.”
Gabriella shrugged. “Maybe. Maybe not. If he had something to hide would he really give me a key to his place? A key I still have, he never asked for it back.”
“Maybe he knew you wouldn’t snoop. Maybe he does all his fucking at the women’s place.”
She cringed. “I don’t think so.” She hoped not anyhow. But all she could do was trust him. Like she’d trusted lots of men in the past and gotten burned. Maybe Tonya was right, maybe she was setting herself up for disappointment and heartbreak.
She groaned inwardly. This dating stuff sucked. Why couldn’t someone just be matched with someone else at birth? No dating. No trying to find Mr. Right, ‘cause Mr. Right would already be chosen for you. Knowing her luck she’d be assigned to some lunatic who collected his toenail clippings and refused to bathe. Yeah, perhaps assigned marriages weren’t the way to go. There were fates worse than being forever single.
“Gab?”
“Huh?” Shaken from her ponderings, she looked over at Tonya as her co-worker threw the ball for the dogs.
“Haven’t you heard a word I’ve said?”
Gabriella could feel the heat rushing to her cheeks at being caught daydreaming. She shot Tonya an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry. Just… thinking…”
Tonya’s expression softened. “Look, I’m not saying he’s a dog or some sort of man-whore, what I’m saying is that you should just take things slow. Not get emotionally attached until you know for sure he’s for real.”
What Tonya was saying made sense. She still knew very little about him. She was getting a feel, but he’d said himself that he was an artist when it came to lying. Beating lie detectors, coming up with plausible stories on the spot – and no conscience about it. If that was the case he could lead a second life and she’d never know the difference.
“Maybe I should end it before it gets too out of hand…” she murmured, not intending to say the words out loud.
“I didn’t say that Gab. Give it a chance, just be careful.”
“You’re right. And I will.”
Chapter 12
“You’re late, fucker,” Felicity announced as Colin walked through the doors of the coffee shop they were meeting at.
Colin thrust a hand into his hair and sighed as he sat down across from her, a coffee – black – in his hand. “Yeah, well.” He had no intention of discussing Gabriella with Felicity.
“She’s affecting your work now?”
“Don’t start.”
“How do you think she’d feel about you if she knew ab
out this…” She slid a beige file folder across the table at him. “Don’t even get me started on the fact that you’re putting her in danger being with you.”
He rolled his eyes at her. “Like you give a shit about Gabriella.”
Glancing down at the folder, he opened it up to reveal Dominik Andrushko. Dominik was a Ukrainian mob boss who was known to run a sex slave ring – but he was impossible to catch. Technically he was “clean,” with no direct contact with the slaves; there were three levels of bosses before you got to the top of the chain. The couple of men Colin had been able to catch came up useless. One took a poison pill, killing himself immediately. The second died during interrogation.
Felicity was a brutal interrogator and sometimes got overzealous when it came to scum like Dominik. Not that Colin blamed her. Upon suspecting that her sister had been a victim of this particular organization, Felicity had clawed her way into his division of the CIA after spending several years as a field agent for the FBI. Felicity wanted these men badly and he knew she took a little bit of satisfaction in making the men hurt who were responsible for her sister – directly or indirectly.
“Someone turned and gave us some information. He’s going to be in New York, Colin. We can get him.”
Colin’s heart rate accelerated; the darkness inside of him began to stir. He wanted this piece of shit almost as badly as she did, wanted to see the life drain from Dominik’s eyes. Mind you in these types of organizations when you cut the head off of the serpent it grew a new one, but still, he’d take every win he could.
“When?”
“Tonight.”
Colin smiled. “Do we have a plan?”
Felicity returned his smile and a moment passed between them, an understanding that only two people who had experienced hell together could ever share. They were alike – too alike. It was why they could never be together. Colin knew that he needed someone with light and purity of heart – he needed someone like Gabriella. However, at that moment as the adrenaline began to pump through his veins in anticipation of killing Dominik, Gabriella was the last thing on his mind.
