Changing Destiny

Thought was gone, leaving her drowning in sensation as his heavy cock pounded into her, his body nirvana against her skin. She wished she could thread her fingers into his hair as he brought her exquisite pleasure.

“Please,” she begged, “more.” Her body writhed beneath him, dancing on the line of climax as he slowed his pace.

“What do you want, My Queen?”

“Fuck me—hard—now!” she cried between pants.

He granted her wish, driving into her with force. One hand slid between them and the pad of his finger pressed on her clit, sending her off the edge with a scream.

His silk spun around her, wrapping her arms and legs until it settled over her chest and sank into her body. Fire danced over Damha, not harming him, but merging into his skin.

He thrust deep, her body milking his seed. “Yes, yes, yes,” she chanted.

“You’re mine, Saressa,” he murmured against her breast, before quickly biting her nipple, hard. His fangs sank past skin, snapping her into reality.

Her eyes widened as she scrambled away from him. Bonded, his silken web no longer tied her to the bed. “No, no, no,” she pleaded, shaking her head.

He crawled to her, his spider legs caging her as he wound his arms around her waist and hauled her into his lap, settling her on his still-hard cock. “I’m yours to command, but you will make love to me.”

Her body responded as hatred melted into that wretched emotion she had reserved for Endiscott.

One spider leg curled under her ass, entering her dark passage, thrusting with the same tempo he orchestrated as he guided her body over his. “My dark queen, you will rule, and I will serve. I don’t want the throne.”

“We need time to gather allies.” She moaned, as he filled her body with his.

“Time we have. You’ll take us to my home, and we’ll gather allies, servants, slaves. Soon, you will have all of Faerie at your disposal.”

The one thing she had craved since childhood was offered before her. She could hardly remember why she resisted Damha so long.

Saressa let out a cry of triumph. Reborn from flame, they have no idea what they’ve unleashed.

  Chapter 44

Jayde paced the cabin. They’d moved the ceremony to Isa’s mountain retreat because it was still decorated, according to Scotty, for Toryn’s proposal to Isadora. Jayde’s hands trembled as she flexed and unflexed them.

“Calm down. Everything will go beautifully,” Isa promised.

She sucked in a breath and frowned. “I haven’t worn a gown like this in over a century. Why did Reance insist on tradition?”

Isa smiled. “He thinks of you as a daughter. He wants the best for you.”

She froze, tears welling up. “He never said anything like that.”

“Because he wasn’t trying to replace your mother.”

  “I owe him so much.”

“No, he cared for you because he wanted to. You owe him nothing.” Isa took her hand. “Scotty’s out there, waiting to meet you in the middle of the procession. Why is it we do this, instead of the groom waiting at the altar?”

“Unions in Faerie are meant to be equal. You meet in the middle.”

  Isa grinned. “I like that.”

“It’s different here, on Earth. Though I think you’d find you fit in Faerie better than you believe. They aren’t up to speed on technology. There’s no electricity. Things are run through magic instead.”

“Interesting.” Isa peered out the window. “The signal. You ready?”

“I am. Go. I’ll see you in a minute.” Jayde pushed Isa toward the door.

She slipped through and winked. “You’re beautiful.”

“Thank you.” Jayde smiled. “Though you’re a knockout.”

“It’s your day to shine, not mine. And you do.” Isa started down the path, toward Toryn, who couldn’t take his eyes off her.

Jayde took a quick look in the mirror, making sure her makeup was intact. Satisfied, she stepped through the door, and waited.

Toryn and Isa touched each other’s hands and then pulled back. Silver fireworks went up in the air and Jayde walked into the starry, candlelit night. There were a dozen people, all holding their own white candle, along the way to the altar. She took her first step, and Scotty stepped out from behind a tree.

Her breath caught. He wore a traditional Faerie suit. Striking, breathtaking, she could hardly breathe as she walked toward him, lost in his warm brown eyes.

All was right in her world. She walked across the yard, and into Scotty’s arms at the center of the crowd.

The ceremony passed in a blur. She hardly registered the words Lonny spoke.

Then Scotty’s mouth was on hers, and she threw her arms around his neck.

  “My husband.”

“My wife,” he purred, swinging her around. “Always meant to be.”

  “My destiny,” she whispered.

  Reference Guide

Abyss – Faerie version of hell. It is a dark, desolate wasteland.

Air Faerie – A fae descended from the Air Kingdom in Faerie. They mainly cast air or electricity based spells. Some can dematerialize, scattering their cells. They can watch without being detected in this form, and travel great distances rapidly.

Arachnian – Part spider, part fae. They can weave silk webs, draw shadows out, and their venom forms a link that allows them some form of mind control over their prey.

Awakening – Faeries come to age after their first sexual release with another faerie. This process brings their power to the surface. It will strengthen what might have previously shown as a weak power, or produce new ones to the individual fae.

Bond – Faerie’s can form a bond with another. It is similar to werewolves mating. The two faeries’ magic mingles, strengthening each other. It is a slower process, but once it forms it can’t be broken.

Chimera – A fierce and frightening hybrid creature from another realm. Has the head of a lion, and goat, and a
tail that is more snake. Its toxin can kill most creatures.

Clairvoyant – Psychic whose gift is second sight, or seeing the future.

Compulsion - Sirens and nymphs can force a suggestion on someone during sexual release. Spells can be cast to have the same effect without sex.

Dragon – Ancient creature of the elements. Most can shift forms, from a lizard-like beast to human, at will. They possess elemental types of magic.

Druids - Humans who possess primarily nature magic. They aren’t as common as mages. Tend to stick with other druids. They cast mostly earth and air spells, though some can manipulate fire and water. Druids can shift into animals with practice.

Earth Faerie – A fae descended from the Earth Kingdom of Faerie. Their powers include superhuman strength and super-sensitive hearing, smell, and sight. Most can manipulate the earth itself, or create compounds of rock from dust or dirt. Some are able to communicate with animals.

Enthrall - Sirens and nymphs can force a suggestion on someone during sexual release.

Faerie – Both the physical realm on the other side of the veil, and the people who come from there. There are many different forms of fae.

Fire Fae – A fae descended from the Fire Kingdom of Faerie. Many have visions. Their magic is generally heat and fire based.

Ghoul – Type of undead. Walking corpse, generally coherent, yet dangerous.

Hyter Sprite – Type of Air fae who can shift into birds. Rare species, and quite mischievous.

Iron – Certain types of faerie have an aversion to iron and other metals with iron content.

Mages – Humans who possess elemental magic. They can either sling spells like weapons or heal, though it is rare for a mage to be a healer.

Mana-blades – Enchanted swords or daggers that are tattooed into the skin. They can be pulled like a normal weapon, but only by the one with the tattoo. Most people cover the blade with another tattoo to hide the magical weapon. The blades themselves do more damage than a normal blade, and depending on the creature it cuts, can do even more specific damage.

Manticore – A creature that appears mostly lion, but has a human head. It shoots spikes that deliver a poison which can debilitate or kill.

Mate – Fae, and some other creatures, sometimes create a supernatural bond with their soul mate. The bond is nearly impossible to break unless one party dies. The bound couple will sometimes feel what the other is feeling, or sense danger the other is in.

Magistrate - Somewhat like the Silver Council’s Sheriff, though their territory is larger than just one city.

Nymph – There are water nymphs and wood nymphs. The water nymphs originated in Faerie near lakes, oceans, and rivers. Wood nymphs originated in the oldest forests. Their magic is powered by love, lust, and similar emotions, and enhanced through orgasm. Some nymphs have other forms of magic as well. Unlike most faerie, they have no glamour and water nymphs are stuck with their unusual coloring.

Oath – Most fae can form a promise that is bound in magic.

Others – Any being that isn’t quite human. Werewolves, vampires, shaman, druid, mages, witches, warlocks, fae are some examples.

Shaman – Humans who possess nature magic. Similar to druids, but not the same. Most shaman can shift into a specific animal.

Shield – A protection spell. Forms a wall usually of one or two elements.

Silver Council – Organization of mages. They are the governing force of most Others. Not everyone recognizes their authority, but they try to police all Others. The Silver Council is mostly made up of formally trained mages. They occasionally will employ other casters.

Silver Council Enforcer – The mages who police Others.

Siren – Sometimes called mermaids. They change forms in water. Fine scales cover their skin, and they develop gills behind their ears. Their coloring often changes with this form. They have similar forms of magic to nymphs.

Soul Prison – A device or talisman that can house a being. Usually a small orb or sphere, it basically transports the being to its own empty realm.

Translocation – Some mages can vanish and reappear in another area. It is a rare talent.

Ward - A spell that protects, sometimes keeps people from entering.

Warded tattoos – Tattoos usually done by druids, shaman or sometimes mages that have a spell imbued into the pattern. The spell is typically of a protection variety.

Warlock - A human who is highly sensitive to magic, and can cast a limited amount of magic. Abilities vary from clairvoyance, empath, telekinesis, and various other psychic abilities. Most are adept at potions that combine natural ingredients with magic.

Werewolves – Specific type of wereanimal. A werewolf is created when a werewolf in either its beast form, or half-man form, bites and in rare cases scratches a human. They are incredibly strong, and faster than a normal human. Powerful werewolves can shift into their wolf form and also a physical presence larger than human, covered in fur with enormous claws and bestial head. Their sense of smell and sight are very strong, especially in their beast forms.

Witch – A human who is highly sensitive to magic, and can cast a limited amount of magic. Abilities vary from clairvoyance, empath, telekinesis, or various other psychic abilities. Most are adept at potions which combine natural ingredients with magic.

  Memories can hold you prisoner…

Clint Armstrong would love to forget his start as a werewolf. His past is a source of shame and never-ending guilt he can’t escape. That is, until he lays eyes on a healer who wipes it all away.

Emily McCallister lived through hell at the hands of her abusive twin. With him dead and gone, she’s finally moving forward, finding the confidence one man inspires. The first man her instinct doesn’t scream to run far away from.

When Clint’s previous pack learns he’s alive, they’ll stop at nothing to break his spirit. He saved Emily from a dangerous encounter with his old second. Now the Elm Wood pack won’t rest until they shred the life he’s built. With Emily in danger, he’ll do all he can to keep her safe.

Forgiving himself won’t be easy when his biggest regret is thrust back into his life. Emily will fight to bring him back from his darkest memories.

  Chapter 1

Clint’s heart pounded in his chest, in time with his heavy footfalls. The adorably sexy mage with the tight little rear had set out to torture him. He couldn’t resist the extra time with her, even if it killed him.

Much further, and his ass was going to straight up fall the fuck off.

Miles, the woman ran him for miles.

Once upon a time he thought he loved to run. Now? He was about to pass out.

  Emily glance
d over her shoulder, her blond ponytail bouncing when she offered a smile on her glossy pink lips. Despite exhaustion, his dick popped back up as her eyes darted forward again.

Blue balls had never been his preferred way to suffer.

Next thing he knew, they were slowing to a jog as they left the trail and came up beside her BMW Z4. He doubled over, then dropped to his knees, kissing the ground.

  “You did amazing,” Emily praised.

“I’m gonna die,” Clint panted, sitting back on his knees, meeting her warm chocolate eyes.

Crouching down in front of him, she offered a bottle of water from the trunk.

His angel to the rescue—fending off dehydration.

“Nah. There are easier ways to kill you.” She winked. “Besides, your arm isn’t ready for sparring, no matter what you think. That poison…” She shook her head, a grimace tugging at her lips. “It slowed the mending down. You keep telling me to let it heal naturally, but I can fix it, if you’d trust me.” She referred to the Komodo Dragon shifter who poisoned his arm when she tried to bite it off.

Emily’s brow arched as she stood up and offered her hand.

He took it with a strained smile. “I trust you. It’s magic I don’t trust.” He stood without help, even though he enjoyed her soft skin against his palm.

“My magic put your arm back together again,” she countered, with sass. Every time they hung out, she had more spunk, offered more smiles, and generally warmed to him. For the first time, he found himself patiently waiting for a woman to choose him. Nine months and he still couldn’t get her out of his head. Clint wanted to spend as much time with her as possible, which sparked the harebrained plan.
