The Hearts We Break: A Sweet YA Romance (Young Love Book 4)

Selina replies: I am gonna need it bad! Don’t leave me behind!
Selina isn't going to need it. She's put in more training than most of us. And now that she's in a relationship with her hot, next door neighbor, the girl is virtually flying around. She's been walking on air since Cole Parsons kissed her at Mooki's cafe. She probably won't even feel her feet hit the ground today.
Feet.
Now that's where the first of my problems lie.
I admit I haven't trained properly for this marathon. I'm an active person, I dance four days a week, I play golf and tennis, I'm used to being on my feet all day. I was pretty sure I could cruise through this. But when Logan did one of the longer training walks, 15 miles, he ended up with blisters and sore calves, and he is way fitter than me.
The longest walk I’ve done is eight miles, and that is less than a third of the total distance I'm expected to walk today. It's freaking me out knowing I may, I will, struggle with this.
My second problem is timing.
I only found out last night that I have an audition tomorrow.
A very important audition.
It could be the launch of my dance career, an opportunity to star, yes, star in a music video. Not background dancer, not person in a crowd scene, but solo act, one on one. Up close and personal, dancing in the arms of Jonah Carmichael, newest teen sensation, latest heart throb.
I'm telling you, this could be my whole life,
right here,
right now.
Everything I've ever wished for, everything I've ever dreamed about.
But not if I have sore feet.
Not if I have blisters.
Not if I can't walk tomorrow.
But I don't want to let my friends down.
I don't want to let Malachi down.
I don't want to let the team down.
And I don't want to let Logan down.
It's five thirty.
I have two hours to get to the start line.
I have two hours to make the most important decision of my life...
I'm Ainsley Ambler...and I don't know what I'm going to do.
