“What are you doing here Mandy?”

“Surely you didn’t think that I was just going to give up on us, did you? I love you Onyx. I’ve always loved you,” she says.

“Mandy, you need to let this go, for real. I’m with Starr now and I love her. What you and I had is over,” I say.

What is it going to take for her to realize that our relationship is over? I have tried telling her nicely but I see that I will have to resort to mean tactics.

“We are not over until I say we’re over,” she says.

“The hell! We are over when I say we’re over, especially since I’ve already moved on. You really should look for someone else to date because this right her,” I point from her to myself and continue, “this is over.”

“I’m sorry to bust your little bubble Onyx, but you can’t get rid of me. We are connected for at least the next eighteen years,” she says with a wicked smile on her face.

What the fuck is this crazy girl talking about now?

“What the hell are you talking about Mandy?”

This girl is crazy as fuck if she thinks I’m going to have anything to do with her ass again.

“I mean, I’m pregnant and the baby is yours. So, you see, we will be in each other’s lives for a long, long time. You might wanna start acting right and treating your baby mama right,” she says as she rubs her belly.

“The hell you mean you pregnant? And how do I know that kid is mine? You could have been fuckin’ anybody,” I say.

“But I wasn’t. I was fuckin’ you and this is your baby,” she says.

UGH! This cannot be happening! This bitch has got to be lying and losing her fuckin’ mind if she thinks I am raising any kid with her ass. I run my hand down my face and close my eyes, hoping that when I open them, she will be gone and this will be only a bad dream. But when I open my eyes, she’s still there and this time she’s holding a pregnancy test.

  “See! It’s positive,” she beams.

“I don’t give a fuck about that test. Show me a DNA test that says I am 99.997% the dad and then we can talk. Like I said, that baby can be for any nigga out there. You could even be lying about being pregnant,” I say.

“What I gotta lie for huh?”

“Because you’re trying to trap me into being with you. I don’t care if you are pregnant, I am never taking you back. I’m with Starr and we are going to get married,” I say.

I haven’t asked Starr to marry me, nor were the two of us even thinking about that. I don’t know why I said what I did. I guess I just wanted to piss Mandy off.

“WHAT! YOU CAN’T MARRY HER! I JUST TOLD YOU I’M PREGNANT WITH YOUR CHILD! YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO MARRY ME!” she screams.

“I’ll never marry you! NEVER! Now get the fuck off my property before I call the police and have you thrown in jail for trespassing,” I say.

“You would have the mother of your child tossed in jail? Really?”

“You are not anything to me. Now get the hell away from my house,” I say.

“Fine, but I will be back. We have so much to talk about,” she says looking crazy.

She gets in her mom’s car and backs out of my driveway. What the hell did I get myself into? How can I tell Starr about this? But if I don’t tell her, I risk having Mandy tell her. Oh God! Why are you doing this to me?

Melissa is ready to throw in the towel on their thirty-plus years of marriage once the girl’s grandmother starts drama with the Santos family. Q is determined to save his parents’ marriage, even if it means he has to take his father’s mistress out. He refuses to allow any more drama to prevent him from moving his family to Miami.

Meanwhile, Harlem has barely adapted to the revelation about her who her father is when she is hit with another family secret that leaves Harlem utterly confused. She also develops an unseen enemy, leaving Harlem to learn that ‘blood is thicker than water.’

Once Q gets his family to Miami, Harlem meets a woman who is new to the city as well, and the two hit it off instantly, finding that they have a lot in common. However, some of their common interests could be a hard pill to swallow for their families.

Throughout all the trials and tribulations Harlem faces, she finds strength to stand up against those who try to bring her family down. When Q and Harlem learn just how deep their family bond goes, it brings the couple even closer. Take a ride with the Santos family on their new journey.

Dre and Kenz are back from Miami and closer than ever. Kenz is enjoying her new place, while Dre is trying to decide how long he can stand the distance between the two. Four days in Miami truly has Dre making plans for a more permanent life with Kenz.

Now that Dre has handled his business in Miami, he has one thing on his mind, and that's handling Kenz's father. That is until his past catches up with him. After one conversation with Kari in Miami, Dre quickly realizes that he made a terrible mistake, trying to correct this past with Kari. After Kari shows up at Avenues, she boldly announces that she has a secret that could potentially cause him to lose everything. His club, his financial security, and more importantly, Kenz. Kari wants money and money only. She couldn’t care less about having Dre, but she's more than determined to ruin his life. Q is the only person that Dre can trust, so between the two of them, they have to figure out a way to stop Kari, who is out for blood.

Kenz has no idea that her relationship is being threatened by the fact that Dre could possibly end up in prison because of a past mistake. What she does know is that she found who she believes to be his sister. Unfortunately, Dre's potential sister, who Kenz thinks she discovered by a simple run in at the mall, may have actually been targeting her. After going to the one person she shouldn't have and asking for help, she too finds herself at risk of ruining her relationship.

Livy has to make some real hard choices, starting with the fact that a real man actually wants to show her love. Will she respect herself enough to give him a chance, or will she settle for life as she knows it and sell herself short?

Dre and Kenz are both keeping secrets that could cost them everything. Will the two be able to pull it together and find the good in two very bad situations or will it be the end of their happy union.

Hurt, lost and alone again, Rain spends night after sorrow filled night trying to figure out where she went wrong. Losing the love of her life after having searched for the perfect man for so long, she is now ready to give up. Falling in love with Dakota had been completely by chance, but now that she’s done it, it seems impossible to let go. Though every relationship has their share of problems, never in a million years did she think her world would come crashing down around her because of another person’s lies. It takes time, but eventually Rain gathers her bearings and is ready to move on. Or so she thinks.

With Rain no longer a part of his everyday life, Love is back to the player he used to be, or at least that’s what he assumes until his heart begins to ache for the beautiful writer. Being who he is makes it a little easier to move on, but the past still finds a way to haunt him. Though he considered forgiving her on numerous occasions, he’s never fully able to do so. What kind of man would he be if he “wifed” a girl who smashed his friend? No man in their right mind would do that, and especially not a man like Love.

Flip flopping between Rain and Alex, Summer hardly finds any time for herself. With both of the people in her circle having man problems, being with Jacorey is like a breath of fresh air. The fun they have together is like no other. No titles, no strings, just fun.

  Happiness flows around
Alex easily, but so does drama. Torn between the man he wants and the man he needs, waking up every day becomes harder and harder. With the turmoil of his own life masked behind his beautiful smile, Alex straps up his boots and focuses on the things that make him happy.

In an overload of emotions, the friends fight to make their lives more joyous. Choosing to overcome one obstacle after the next. Wishing and hoping that one day, their love lives will get better.
