“Ba-bee?” Dylan asked in his hesitant little voice. He still only spoke a few words, but each one was precious to hear him say.
“Yeah, buddy.” I grinned, reaching down to tickle his belly. “This is Linus, he's your new baby brother.”
Sara climbed up onto my lap, peering across Dylan's head to see Linus better. “Daddy Guy, I towed you to give us a sister. Didn't Nutter Daddy say to you that I wanted a sister?”
Aries and I smiled at each other, Sara still hadn't master her 'L' or 'TH' sounds, but her speech was much more intelligible now. Demanding, but intelligible.
“Sorry, sweetie.” Aries said patiently. “Fenris is the one who decides when we get girl or boy pups. Not me or Nutter Daddy.”
“Okay, Daddy Guy.” Sara thought for a minute. “Den you just have to get us a nutter baby, okay?”
I choked back a laugh as Aries' face went pale for a minute, while he looked over at Sara in horror before I finally said: “Sara, angel. Let's just enjoy Linus for awhile before we ask Daddy Guy to have another baby, okay? Let's just do have one baby at a time.”
“Besides,” Sy said quietly, as he came in the room carrying Brianne. “You already have two little sisters, Sara. Remember? Erin and Brianne are both your sisters, aren't they?”
To my mate's visible relief, Sara bought that, for now. She nodded happily at Sy and then changed the subject to start badgering Aries to let her hold the baby. He looked over at me and rolled his eyes before saying: “Yeah, I think that we're totally good with the family we have right now. Don't you agree, alpha?”
I wrapped my arm around Aries' shoulders, leaning in to kiss his claim mark before pulling him over to lean against my shoulder. I wrapped my other arm around Sara, letting my hand rest on Dylan's soft head full of curls where he sat wedged in between my legs now. “Yes, omega of mine, we're definitely good with the family we have now. In fact, I'd say that we're the perfect family.”
