"With Tyler living here now, and the lessons you insist upon, why, once the baby comes, I won't have much time for painting."
He grinned, apparently not surprised at all. “Jessica,” he said softly.
"Christopher,” she countered.
He kissed her, brushing his mouth across hers lightly, sending shivers up her spine.
"There's just one problem,” she whispered against that mouth.
"What's that?"
"I don't know if the father of my child is my aristocratic, gentle husband, or that hot-headed rebel they call the Indigo Blade."
"Ah,” he said as if he understood completely. “What a quandary."
"I certainly thought so."
He tightened his protective arms. “If you had to choose, who would you want the man in your life and the father of your child to be?"
"I'm an incredibly selfish woman,” she confessed. “I want them both."
"Faith, m'dear,” Maximillian whispered against her waiting mouth. “You shall have whatever your heart desires."
