She smiled up at him, brushing aside any remnants of jealousy. “I love you too. With all my heart, and all my soul. My everything.” Her smile wobbled. “Please don’t fucking scare me like that again!”
She stepped onto tiptoes and kissed him hard, kissed away his burst of laughter while a deafening chorus of whistles, clapping, and shouts of encouragement erupted around them.
When Jarred finally pulled back and swiped away her tears, she didn’t need to tell him they were tears of joy.
