  tugoliths: Enormous, horned creatures from the far north able to carry on human conversation at the level of toddlers. Called Northbeasts by the Marwandians.

  twi-beast: The name bestowed by Sheth upon the two-headed dragons of his manufacture.

  Uda: Youthful daughter of Paumer the Shrewd. Bright and ambitious. In love with Dark the prophet.

  Vicia-Heinox: A two-headed dragon made by Sheth and loosed upon the world by Seagryn.

  Wilker: Foppish, posturing bureaucrat within the Remnant, bearing the tide of Undersecretary for Provincial Affairs and a member of the Conspiracy.

  Yammerlid: Childhood enemy of Seagryn, sworn to vengeance.
