He chuckled and pushed us toward the back of the line. “Smoothies first,” he agreed.

I looked up at the board with all of the flavors. “Tell me how I never knew about this place,” I wondered. There were at least twenty different kinds of smoothies, and they also had snacks like nachos and pretzels. This place was awesome.

“It just opened a month ago. We’re working on advertising and getting more people in the door.”

I turned around in his arms with my jaw dropped. “Silent partner?”

Dante shrugged and shuffled us forward in line. “It’s a good investment.”

“We’re going to stop right here, and you need to tell me if you have any other good investments in town.”

He looked at me and shook his head. “Just Powerhouse, Climb, and Squeeze in town.”

“Are you sure? Maybe not a couple other ones that you forgot about?” Now I was going to wonder where ever I went if Dante owned it.

  “That’s it, honey.”

I turned back around and tried to concentrate on the menu and not the man behind me. Here I thought I had Dante pegged as a Silver Fox Ninja, and now he was a Silver Fox Ninja who dabbled in rock climbing and smoothies. “I’m getting a smoothie, nachos, and a pretzel since you own the place,” I informed him.

His arm wrapped tight around my waist, and he pulled me flush against his body. “Whatever you want is yours,” he whispered.

Hmph, if that’s what he wanted, then I was also getting a hot dog.

  Dante

  “Can I ask a question?”

I opened my eyes and looked up at the ceiling. “Shoot, honey.”

Kennedy came up on one arm and looked down at me. “Do you have any ice cream?”

“I feel like all you think about is food.”

She shrugged and rested her other hand on my bare stomach. “I enjoy food. Is that a crime?”

I grabbed her around the waist, rolled her onto her back, and covered her with my body. Her hair covered her face, and she huffed trying to blow it out of the way. “Just something I like about you, honey.” I brushed her hair back and caressed her cheek.

“You have a mighty long list of things you like about me,” she laughed.

“There isn’t much not to like,” I mumbled. “Although, I thought you would be full for a while after the smoothie and buying out all of the Squeeze’s food.”

She slapped my shoulder and rolled her eyes. “You’re so full of shit.”

I smiled down at her and settled my legs in between her parted ones. “Did you see May’s face when you told her that? I swear she was going to have a heart attack.”

“Well, I suppose hearing someone tell your boss that they are full of shit would come as a bit of a shock,” I chuckled.

“You had Mick rolling when you stormed out of the climbing area. He could barely hold the rope for me to finish descending.”

“Good, I needed to get as much distance as I could from you.”

I leaned in and pressed a kiss to her lips. “I’m not real good with distance between us, honey.”

“Clingy,” she muttered, a smirk on her lips. “Can we talk about May for a second?”

“I was kind of thinking of going for round two. May isn’t really something I want to talk about when we’re about to get it on.”

She rolled with laughter and looped her arms around my neck. “Put the brakes on the Get It On Train for two seconds. Is she dating Mick?”

Mick and May were a long ass story that I didn’t really want to get into. “No. May refuses to date him.”

“What? He’s like vice president of the Silver Fox Club,” she gasped.

“It’s a little bit deeper than that, honey. They have a past.” A messy past. “Can we get back on the train now?”

She rolled her eyes. “Who’s the one with a one-track mind now? We’re quite the pair. All I think about is food, and you only think about sex.”

“We’ll never go hungry, and we’ll always be satisfied. I have to say, we’d be set.”

She bucked her hips and pulled me down, my lips a breath away from hers. “You sure you can get the train out of the station again?”

“That sounds like a challenge, honey.” I claimed her lips, my tongue invading her mouth. Her fingers delved into my hair and tugged gently. Our moans mingled, and I ground my hips into her sweet core, my dick hardening for her.

My hand trailed down between our bodies, sliding over her sweet pussy, and parting her wet lips. Her clit was a beacon that my fingers instantly found, stroking and teasing.

“You ready?” I asked against her lips.

“Yes,” she moaned. Her body was always ready for me. All it took was one touch, and she melted into me, her body begging to take me.

“On your knees, ass in the air,” I ordered.

Her eyes flared with desire, and she released my hair. I sat back on my heels, leaving the warmth of her body, and watched her flip over. Her ass was in the air, and her face was buried in her pillow. How the hell did I get this lucky?

My hand skimmed over her perfect, round ass, and she pushed back, craving my touch. “Spread your feet, honey. Make room for me.”

Her feet spread, and I positioned myself behind her, my dick bobbing in between us. My fingers found her clit and gave it a flick. She moaned, muffled by the pillow, and her hands gripped the blanket.

I leaned over her, my body against hers, and whispered in her ear. “I’m gonna fuck you hard and fast. You want that?”

She lifted her head from the bed, turning toward me, and it felt like I had died and gone to heaven. Her lips were parted, her eyes hooded with desire, and I knew I wasn’t going to last long. “Please,” she gasped.

“My greedy girl, goes from zero to sixty in two seconds,” I growled. I leaned back and grabbed my dick.

“Only for you.” Her words floated to me, and I plunged inside her. God damn, this woman drove me insane. Her wet, tight pussy felt like a damn glove around my dick, squeezing as I pulled out and plunged back into her.

My fingers dug into her hips, as I held on, pounding into her. “Get there, honey. Fucking get there.”

Her hand slid down the sheet and disappeared under her body. I felt her fingers as I thrust back in, and she groaned when they touched her clit. “Fucking hot,” I growled.

Son of a bitch. My cock buried deep inside her, and her fingers bringing her to the edge. I pounded fast and deep, bottoming out with each thrust.

“Dante,” she gasped, falling over the edge into her orgasm. Her fingers fell away, and her pussy squeezed my cock like a vise.

I slammed my eyes shut, basking in the feel of her body responding to me. My balls tightened, and I thrust one more time before I exploded into her sweet pussy. She collapsed onto the bed, and I covered her body with mine as my balls emptied.

“Holy fuck,” I croaked. Every time was always better than the last with her.

“Just leave me here to die, I’m done for,” she gasped.

I slid off to the side and pulled the blanket over us. “Sleep, honey.”

“Uh uh, not until you bring me ice cream.”

I rolled over and started up at the ceiling. “I fuck the hell out of her, and she still wants ice cream.”

“Sex with you is phenomenal, Dante, but the right kind of ice cream could totally replace you.”

“I’ve got mint chocolate chip and pistachio.”

Her head turned, and a huge grin spread across her lips. “Totally orgasmic.”

“Unbelievable,” I muttered. I tossed back the covers and sat up looking for my boxers that had been thrown on the floor. “Making me compete with food for your attention.” Her hand grazed my back as I stood up and looked down at her. “Which one do you want?”

She crossed her eyes and scrunched up her nose. “That’s like asking a mother which child she likes best.”

I shook my head. “I’ll bring both.

She fell back onto the bed and burrowed under the covers. “Good boy,” she murmured.

She was crazy, but at least she was my crazy.

  Kennedy

I was exhausted but too amped up to even think about sleeping.

Dante was in the kitchen grabbing ice cream, and I was trying not to smile like a mad woman.

Could one die from being so freakin’ happy?

“Ken, your phone is ringing,” Dante called.

Aw man, I was just trying to burrow under the covers and never move. Obviously, someone else had other plans for me.

I tossed back the covers, tagged Dante’s shirt off the floor, pulled on my underwear, and padded down the hallway to the kitchen. Dante tossed the phone to me, and he turned back to the freezer. “It’s your mom, by the way,” he chuckled.

Son of a gun. “She would call right now,” I grumbled. I swiped left and put the phone to my ear. “Hello, Vivian.”

Dante looked over his shoulder and snickered. “You would call your mom by her name and not mom.”

I flipped him off and moved into the living room.

“Kennedy, are you there?” she asked.

I plopped down on the couch and kicked my feet up on the coffee table. “I’m here.”

“What were you doing? I called you twice, and you didn’t answer.”

Having sex with Dante was the truth, but I decided fibbing would probably be better. “I was just taking a shower and didn’t hear my phone ring.”

“You should take your phone into the bathroom with you, dear. What would you do if you fell? How would you get help?”

Lord have mercy. “I’d probably be knocked out if I fell and drown.”

“Could you please not be so morbid?” she said snottily.

“Did you call just to talk about my safety in the shower, or was there something you wanted?”

She sighed, and I heard the clink of ice hitting a glass. “I’m having a dinner party next Friday. You will be here. Your father has some friends coming into town, and you need to meet them.”

“Do I have to be there?”

“I just said you need to be. You are not getting any younger, Kennedy. I don’t know why you are satisfied with running your little yoga place and that’s it. Don’t you want a husband? A family?”

Because having a husband and family had worked out so well for my mother. All she had to show for it was a husband who was never home and a daughter who didn’t want to be in the same room as her. “I’m twenty-five, Vivian, not one hundred, I’m pretty sure I have time.”

Dante walked into the living room and handed me a heaping bowl full of ice cream. Vivian squawked in my ear about my aging eggs and how she’d like to have a grandchild to dote on before she hit the big fifty-five, while I shoveled ice cream into my mouth.

I sighed when she was still talking, and all I had to show for eating ice cream so fast was a brain freeze, and Dante quietly chuckling at me from the recliner. “Vivian,” I called, pulling her out of the rant she gave me all of the time. “I’ll be there, but, um, I’m bringing a date.” I pulled the phone from my ear checking to make sure she was still there. I had never heard my mother speechless before. “Mom?”

  “A date?” she asked, astonished.

Jesus, it really wasn’t that amazing that I had a date. Although, it was amazing that I had a date to bring to my mother’s. “Yes, I’ve been seeing someone.”

“Does this someone have a name?”

I glanced over at Dante and tried not to giggle. He was camped out on the recliner, a bowl of ice cream resting on his stomach, and pointing the remote at the TV trying to find something to watch. “His name is Dante.”

“Dante? What kind of name is that? Is he some demonic devil worshipper? I swear Kennedy if this is some kind of joke, I can tell you right now, my heart could not take you bringing someone with a stake through their nose and whose daily attire is a black trench coat and combat boots.”

I busted out laughing at the idea of Dante dressed in all black with piercings all over his face. “I swear to God, Dante is far from that.”

“Well,” she huffed, “I want to know what kind of name Dante is.”

“The name his mother gave him.”

“It was actually my dad,” Dante pointed out.

“He’s there, with you?” Vivian marveled. “Let me talk to him.”

“Vivian, I’m afraid that this is where this conversation ends. We will be to the house at seven next Friday.”

“Make is six-thirty. I want to meet Dante before everyone else arrives.”

Oh good. Alone time with my mother and father. I normally much preferred arriving late and leaving early. “Six forty-five.”

“Oh, all right. But don’t be any later than that.”

“See you then.” I hung up before she could haggle and guilt me into showing up earlier and tossed my phone on the coffee table.

“Operation Decoy deploys next Friday?” Dante asked, laughing.

I sighed and shoveled in a bit of melting ice cream. “Yes. I should have asked you if you had plans. If you do, we can reschedule for another night.”

“No problem, honey. The only plans I have next weekend is the Amex tournament, although Kellan had mentioned that Molly wanted to do a girls’ night or some shit at the strip club that Hadley works at.”

“We can totally cancel my mother and go to the strip club.” I giggled and shook my head. “I would love to tell my mother the reason we can’t make it is because we need to be at the strip club. I’m pretty sure that would give her the coronary she always says I’m trying to give her.”

Dante shook his head. “There are no good shows on TV anymore,” he grumbled.

“Missing the good ol’ days, grandpa?”

Dante slowly turned his head to look at me, frowning. “Pretty sure it wasn’t a grandpa fucking you not even ten minutes ago.”

“True that,” I agreed. I’m pretty sure twenty-year-olds would have problems keeping up with Dante’s stamina. The man knew how to give it to me good, and frequently.

“Every time you call me grandpa, I’m gonna fuck you until you remember that age doesn't mean shit.”

I rubbed my thighs together and dug into my ice cream. As hot as that sounded, I was well and properly fucked for the moment. “I’ll keep that in mind,” I chided.

Dante chuckled and flipped through the channels trying to find something to watch.

“Are you sure you want to go through with the whole decoy thing? I’d totally understand if you want to back out. You already have one strike against you because she doesn’t like your name, although knowing my mother, she would have had a problem with your name no matter what it was.”

Dante finally found a rerun of Law and Order and set down the remote. “Your mother doesn’t scare me, Kennedy. If she doesn’t like me, then she doesn’t like me. I’m not into being something that I’m not.” Well, this was either going to be awesome, or it was going to be absolutely horrible. “The only person who I care about liking me is you.”

That was nice to hear, although my mother wasn’t going to care about that. “Um, do we need to go shopping?” I asked hesitantly.

“Woman, you got a bowl of ice cream in front of you. What more do you need to eat right now?” he demanded.

I rolled my eyes. “Not what I’m talking about. I mean do we need to go to the mall for clothes for Friday?”

He looked over at me. “I’m sure you got plenty of clothes in your closet that are mother approved. Just throw something on, and we’ll be fine.”

Jesus. Again, not what I meant. “For you, ninja, not me.” He was right, I did have half a closet full of clothes that were meant for going to my mom’s. I was more worried about him showing up in gym shorts and a t-shirt.

He scoffed and shook his head. “I’m good, honey. I got some nice going to church clothes that’ll do.”

I dropped my spoon into my
bowl. “You go to church?” It was hard to believe that a man who could fuck and dirty talk that good went to church. Most men would make a deal with the Devil to have Dante’s skills. Or length.

Dante smirked. “When the mood strikes.”

I settled back into the couch and giggled. “Dante Craig, you surprise me every day. Multiple business owner, silver fox ninja, and now a church goer.”

He winked and kicked up the footrest on the recliner. “I like keeping you on your toes, honey. Don’t want you to get bored with an old man like me.”

I smiled and stirred my quickly melting ice cream. “What happens when you call yourself old man?”

“Why don’t you finish that ice cream, and you can come over here and find out.”

I shook my head. “You’re a bad, bad man, Dante.”

“That mean you’re not going to come sit with me?” He wiggled his eyebrows and bucked his hips.

“You’re going to be the death of me, Dante.”

“But what a way to go,” he laughed.

I grabbed a throw pillow off the end of the couch and tossed it at his head. He managed to snatch in mid-air and toss it on the floor. “I forgot you had ninja-like reflexes.”

Dante chuckled. “I’m pretty sure anyone would have caught that, honey. You throw like a girl.”

“Pretty sure that’s the number one thing you like about me.”

“It damn sure is. Now finish your ice cream so I can worship you up close and personal.”

I shook my head but managed to finish off my ice cream in record time without a brain freeze. I set my bowl down on the way over to him.

Did a girl say no when a Silver Fox asked to worship her and listed all of the things he liked about her?

  Hell no.

  Dante

  “Give. Me. The. Cookies.”

“I don’t know if I would mess with her today, Silver Fox. Sage has been on the rampage this week.” Karlton leaned in close and covered his mouth with his hand. “PMS,” he whispered.

Sage picked up an empty coffee cup and pointed it at Karlton. “You’re next, Karlton. Do not mess with me today.”
