Cherishing His Best Friend: A Billionaire Protector Mystery Romance

I moaned as his tip pressed against my entrance. Oh, he was toying with me now.
“Please... Reis...” I started to beg, driven by the wild hormones that raged inside of me. “I want you so badly. I want to feel you inside of me... filling me to the brim. Don’t make me wait any longer. I can’t take –”
Before I could finish, he forced himself inside of me. I was so wet that he was met with little resistance. He was thick enough to make me feel like I would split in half.
His hold on my hair tightened. “Brandi...”
“Don’t you dare stop,” I growled, clutching at the sheets.
And so, he started to move his hips in a steady rhythm. I arched my back in pure ecstasy as his balls slapped against my folds, adding to the pleasure I felt.
His member throbbed inside of me and if I had to guess, he was getting close.
“Cum for me.” He commanded as his fingers found my clit once more and started to rub it with dizzying speed.
My thighs shook but I held back the wave of pleasure. I didn’t want this to end – not yet anyway.
Reis seemed to have the same idea because his pace slowed. He was just teasing me now. He pinched one of my nipples and twisted it.
I moaned at the slight tweak of pain but I liked it.
His lips traveled along the side of my neck.
“You’re so sweet...” He murmured. “I could play with you all night long.”
The bed rocked underneath our lovemaking. I don’t know how long we were at it for but it was definitely a while. I soon lost track of how many orgasms had ripped through me that night. All I knew was that it was a lot of them.
Then finally, Reis pulled out. He turned me around and guided my hands onto his shaft. His head was purple with excitement. With my eyes locked with his, I did as he wanted me to. I stroked him until his cum exploded onto my chest. It was quite a mess but that was half the fun of it.
Sighing, I dropped backward into the bed with a bright smile plastered onto my face.
Reis found the energy to go into the bathroom and warm up a washcloth for my sake. When he returned, he helped clean off the mess, paying special attention to my breasts.
When he was done, I pulled him under the sheets with me and cuddled up close. “That was amazing...” I said, still a little breathless.
“You can say that again.” He answered as he wrapped his arms around me. “I’m beat. You sure are a lot of work.”
I giggled. “Damn right I am.”
Chapter 14: Reis
THE FOLLOWING MORNING.
I had invited the private investigator to my home for a meeting but I had completely forgotten about the whole thing. With Brandi falling into bed with me... well, let’s just say it slipped my mind.
What reminded me was a notification from my phone. It dinged from the back pocket of my pants. I thought about ignoring it but then it dinged again. Ugh. Whatever it was, it was probably important. So, I pried my way out of Brandi’s hold. At some point during the night, she had become the big spoon. I mean, not that there’s anything wrong with that. It’s actually quite nice.
Anyway, I rolled out of bed and with my head still blurry from a night of blissful sleep, I looked around in search of my pants. I eventually found them half hidden behind a dresser.
When I finally pulled out my phone the screen sported a couple of notifications from my smart doorbell. The private eye stood there with a look of irritation on his face. He was just about to walk away when I logged into the app and grabbed his attention through the intercom. “Sir!”
He jumped, startled by the suddenness of my voice. He narrowed his eyes with suspicion and looked around but, of course, he couldn’t see me.
“Sir, I can see you through the doorbell.”
In response, the man leaned forward and I got a good view of his nostrils. It was hard for me to keep from laughing but somehow, I maintained my composure.
“Would you mind opening up at the door?” He said at last.
“Actually... I’m not home. I’m next door at 227. If you would just give me five minutes.”
“Very well.” And with that, he was already walking away.
I hurried to wake Brandi.
She groaned and tried to hide her head underneath the pillow.
“Brandi. You have to wake up. The private eye is coming over for a meeting.”
“Huh?” She mumbled. Just then, the doorbell rang and she sprang into a seated position, her arms instinctually covering her naked breasts. I tossed some clothes in her direction. “Who is that?”
“I already told you. The private eye.” I said as I tightened my tie. “He wants to have a word with me regarding something he found on your father’s email.”
“My father’s email? When did he get access to that?”
“Let’s just say he’s rather good at his job,” I answered. “That’s why I rather keep him on my side instead of making an enemy of the man.”
Brandi didn’t seem to understand what I was saying. She was still much too groggy to process information.
Shaking my head, I went downstairs and opened up the door. “Sorry about the delay.”
“It’s fine.” The private eye nodded. “This is the home in question, isn’t it? Mind if I have a look around while you brew some coffee?”
I wasn’t used to being bossed around but I didn’t see the point in arguing with the man. After all, the sooner we solved this mystery, the better for everyone. So, I headed into the kitchen and fiddled with the coffee brewer. It didn’t seem to be working properly because pressing the ‘on’ button didn’t seem to do anything.
“It would help if you actually plugged it in,” Brandi said as she reached it and pushed the cord into its outlet.
“Why was it unplugged?” I asked, feeling like an idiot.
“The outlets aren’t that reliable in the kitchen. They have a habit of short-circuiting on me if I have too many things plugged in at once so it’s just easier if I unplug the appliances I’m not going to use.”
“I see... why haven’t you fixed it?”
“We never had the money. Whenever we had some saved up, it always went toward the diner or something else.” She frowned. “You know, not everyone grows up to become a billionaire.”
“I wasn’t implying –”
But before I could fully explain myself, the private eye returned. He grabbed a freshly brewed cup of coffee and settled himself at the kitchen table. “I have made progress with your father’s email. His password was easy to crack – too easy – which is why it gave me a bit more trouble but I figured it out all the same.” He paused to take a sip of his coffee. “In any case, I found a threat coming from Keith.” He reached for the ground and pulled up a briefcase I hadn’t noticed before. Carefully, he placed it on the table and opened it. From within, he retrieved a bundle of papers. “He says here that he plans to get the diner one way or another. Sounds like a threat to me.”
“So, what are we going to do about it?” I asked.
“Here’s the plan.” He answered, eyes leveled and calm. “I want Brandi here to leave town for a few days. While she’s gone, I’ll pose as the estate manager and try to sell the diner and we’ll see who bites.”
“Sounds like a good enough plan to me.” I agreed. “What do you think, Brandi? Mind skipping town with me for a few days.”
“Just to be clear, we’re not actually selling the diner, right? This is just a ploy to see if Keith wanted to buy the diner once my father was out of the picture.”
“Exactly.” The private eye offered a rare smile. “You catch on quick.”
“Then I see nothing wrong with that. Let’s do this and catch that rat.” Her voice shook with a vengeance. “And make him regret what he did to my father. No one messes with a Newton.”
Chapter 15: Brandi
“SO, WHERE ARE WE GOING during this little hiatus?” I asked as soon as the private eye was gone. “I don’t exactly own any timeshares.”
“Well, I thought we take advantage of this situation to enjoy a little trip together. We had always dreamed of traveling the world together, didn’t we?” I said as I pulled her close. “So, just say the word and I’ll get us on a plane faster than you can blink. Italy. France. Australia...”
“Reis.” I stopped him from continuing on a country-filled rant. “You’re getting carried away.”
“Sorry.” He said rather sheepishly. “But can you blame me? I finally got the woman of my dreams to sleep with me. I guess you could say I’m having a pretty fantastic morning.”
“Better than last night even?” I challenge.
“I don’t think anything could top that.”
“Oh yeah?” She grinned mischievously. “I beg to differ.”
“What has gotten into you?”
“I just like the idea of running away with you. Reminds me of when I was a little girl and we planned to spend a whole year in Disney Land together.”
“Is that where you want to go?” Reis asked as he laced his fingers with mine.
“No... I think we’re both a little too old to go to Disney Land.” I bit the inside of my lip. “Although I hear its always magical there no matter when you go.”
“Sounds like you really want to go.” As he spoke, he pulled out his phone. By the motion of his thumbs, I could tell he was texting someone.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Getting things situated.”
“Hmm?”
“Don’t worry about it.” He leaned forward and kissed my forehead. “So, Disney Land it is?”
“No.” I shook my head. “We shouldn’t. Maybe later on in life when we have kids.” The words just came right out of my mouth. When I had realized what I had said, it was already too late.
“Did you say when ‘we’ have kids? As in you and me?” Reis tried to catch my eye but I turned away, my cheeks burning red. “Brandi.” He managed to grab my wrist and reel me toward his body. “Is that what you just said?”
“It is,” I mumbled under my breath. “And it’s true... I want to start a family with you. I always have. I think you would be a great dad and I would be honored to call you the father of my children. But forget I said anything, okay? It’s way too soon for us to start talking about kids.”
“No. It’s not.” He insisted. “Because I want them too and I’ve wanted them with no one other than you.” With that, he kissed me. When he pulled away, he held me by the hips and smiled. “Alright, we’ll delay the Disney trip until we have kids. In the meantime, what do you think about New York City? You’ve never been, right?”
“I’ve never left this town,” I grumbled, ashamed of my lack of adventure.
“Well, that’s about to change. I have a penthouse suite in New York. You’ll be able to see the whole city from our bedroom. What do you say? Does that sound like a good idea to you?”
“Can we go see the statue of liberty while we’re there?” I asked.
“We can do anything you’d like so long as I get to do you from time to time.” He said with a wink. “I think you’ll like it there. It’s much more hectic but it has a certain charm to it.”
“It looks lovely on TV.” I mused.
“Well, it’s a little dirtier in person but I’ll vouch for Central Park being pretty nice, especially in the fall when all the leaves change color.”
“That sounds amazing...” I responded in a dreamy voice. “But I feel kind of bad leaving everything in the hands of your private eye. I mean, shouldn’t we stick around in case he needs us or something? It’s not really fair that we get to take a mini vacation –”
Reis silenced me with a kiss that took my breath away. His fingers dug into my arms as his tongue slowly traced my bottom lip, looking for an entry point.
I parted my lips for him and his tongue quickly found mine. Together, they did a little tango that had my heart beating fast. Addicted to his touch and his taste, I moved a little closer until we stood chest to chest. Only then did he pull away and look down at me. “Alright, you have me convinced. So, when do we leave?”
“Right now.”
“Now?” I knitted my brows together. “But I haven’t even packed.”
“You won’t need to.” He said as he walked over to the door and opened it. There were two suitcases on the porch.
“Where did those come from?”
“I asked my assistant to handle it.”
“It’s only been like fifteen minutes. No one can pack that quickly. Besides, what about my clothes?”
“Luckily, you two are about the same body type so I asked her to lend you some of her things for the time being. Besides, if there is anything missing, we can always buy it while we’re in New York.”
My head felt like it was spinning. Was this one of the perks of being rich? You just snap your fingers and things just magically happen because you want them to. “Reis.” I grabbed him by his jacket and looked up into his eyes. “I don’t want you to get you the wrong idea but I don’t feel comfortable abusing your money. You can’t buy my love –”
“Exactly and that’s why I love you so much. But that doesn’t mean I can’t spoil you rotten from time to time.” He paused to kiss the top of my head. “After everything that has happened to you – you deserve it.”
Chapter 16: Reis
SPENDING TIME WITH Brandi in New York City was like a dream come true. When all was said and done, we didn’t do much exploring. Most of our time was spent inside the bedroom exploring each other’s bodies. She was such a joy to play with. The expressions on her face? Priceless.
They made me want to pleasure her all night long and that’s usually what I did.
Now, don’t get me wrong, we went to see the Statue of Liberty just like she wanted to but the entire time I could almost smell the lust rolling off her body. She couldn’t keep her eyes off me and I couldn’t keep my hands to myself. We were like two jackrabbits going at it and heck, I didn’t mind it. In fact, I loved it.
On the third day, I woke up first and rolled over to find that she was still fast asleep. Gently, I brushed aside a strand of her hair and pinned it behind her ear. It was hard to believe that she finally mine after all this time. It still felt like I was stuck inside a dream and that I would wake up at any moment.
I shimmied a little closer. A wave of heat radiated from her body. At night she transformed into a little space heater. And when I got her going... well, let’s just say she was hot to the touch.
For a moment, I considered waking her up but instead, I crawled out of bed and allowed her to enjoy her rest. Out in the living room, I ordered room service that showed up exactly as she stumbled to join me. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and yawned. It shouldn’t be legal for someone to be this freaking cute.
“Mmm, is that bacon I smell?” Brandi snatched up a couple of pieces and devoured them.
I chuckled. “Someone’s hungry.”
“What can I say? You know how to build up an appetite in a girl.” With a grin, she sat down on my lap and fed me the rest of her bacon strip. I savored the taste and toppled it off with a delicious kiss that had me horny by the end of it. There was just something about this woman that really got my gears turning. The more I had of her, the more I wanted.
“Someone’s awake.” She said as she slipped her hand onto my thigh, rubbing it ever so gently. I had come to learn that Brandi was quite the tease. She liked to play with me just as much as I liked to play with her – if not more.
“Mhm. But I thought we could do something a little different today...”
AND SO, WE ENDED UP at the Johnson McCoy stadium, home of the New York Meteors. Various football fans were lined outside the stadium waiting to get inside. As the owner of the Meteors, I had no problem waltzing through the front doors.
“So, you’re telling me that you own all of this?”
“Yep.” I chuckled. “Impressive, isn’t it?”
“That doesn’t even come close to des
cribing it. How much did all this cost you?”
“A billion dollars or so,” I answered with a casual tone.
“Billion? You mean billion with a B, right? Not million with an M?”
“Yeah, you heard me correctly.” It looked like Brandi was on the verge of having herself a stroke.
“And you threw away a billion dollars for a football team?”
“That’s right but they have more than made me my money back. I’ve made over 5 billion in revenue alone not counting the money I make on advertising contracts with some of the players.” I explained as I led her to the elevator. With a special keycard, it brought us all the way to the top floor.
“That’s... wow...” Brandi blinked in amazement. “It’s a lot to wrap my head around. I couldn’t even imagine having a $100,000 to my name let alone a billion dollars. I think I could go nuts.”
“Well, money can make you go crazy. It’s difficult to handle all your assets. I’m bringing in money from a thousand different sources.” I continued my explanation. I rather liked blowing her mind like this.
“Alright, alright, I get it, you’re filthy rich. I still can’t believe you bought a football team.”
I shrugged. “You know I was never very good at it myself.”
“Yeah, you sucked which is why this doesn’t make any sense. Now if you owned a baseball team maybe I would understand but... football?”
“It’s just a better money maker. You can charge more money per ticket and the fans are more likely to spend money on expensive booze and other products. Baseball is too much of a family sport to be as profitable. Kids can’t spend thousands of dollars.”
“I see... so this was an investment.”
“Exactly.” I smiled. “Hey keep it up and I might just consider taking you on as my business partner. Together, we could make ourselves a lot of money.”
“I appreciate the offer but my heart is with the diner. I want to keep it alive.”
