Amalthean Quests One

Midge was watching the Universe as they went. He was sorting out what preparations were required in an emergency act, if the Boglayons sent out a welcome committee, which they no doubt would. He listened in to the conversation between Lydia and Tayce, he found himself being part of that conversation, as they were discussing Traun in general. He took over full control allowing his mistress full concentration and time to relax before what lay ahead. Tom a while later at the end of his session with Treketa and duty time, returned to Organisation. Lydia left Tayce and Tom to be alone together, she figured they needed to discuss the Quest tomorron. She simply headed for the entrance of Organisation, informing them both that she would see them first light. With this she walked from the deck. Tom waited until he figured they were not going to be disturbed, then reached out and pulled Tayce out off the chair, up into his strong arms gently.

“You certainly seem happy, something I should know about?” asked Tayce draping her arms around his neck.

“We certainly don’t have anything to worry about over my sister tomorron, let me tell you Treketa is one hell of a good shot, she surprised me and Marc during training just now, Dean was somewhat speechless and I think he was quite impressed,” said Tom softly down at her.

“Good! thanks for teaching her,” replied Tayce glad he had.

He softly studied her and suggested she forget all about the Boglayon pirates and tomorron, what would happen would happen, they had done all necessary preparations.

“Your one special woman to me Tayce Traun,” he said in a alluring soft whisper.

He lowered his head and drew her into a long wanting passionate kiss. Tayce relaxed against him. She gave in and responded with just as much feeling and wanting tenderness for him. All thoughts of the dayon drifted away as she became lost in the moment. Tom scooped her up into his warm strong arms and carried her from Organisation, kissing her every few moments, with tentative kisses as they went. Tonight hourons had been a long time coming, since they had first discovered each other and he had got over the death of Alenea. Midge knew that this night would be the sealing of their relationship, on a personal level, so he decided to take full night time control of the cruiser, contact Marc should any on board emergency occur, which until they reached the Boglayons Hideout, he figured wouldn’t happen anyway.

Next mornet Marc was the first to arrive on duty, Midge released full operational control to him, coming out of night standby mode. Marc took up his seat feeling a lot more refreshed for his nights sleep. Midge opened the main sight port shutters. They drew back to reveal a clear calm spacial view. Marc was about to take the cruiser to warp 10, when he noticed on the scanner, they were being watched by what would be termed and what they had expected, the welcome committee in the form of fifteen enemy fighters, from the Boglayon Hideout. They all hovered, looking menacingly thunderous with weapons primed in unison, waiting for Amalthea to make the first move. The fighters were like elongated Skulls, in shape lying on there sides. Slazer Cannons were mounted at the front like eyes and the rear like short stubby points.

“Looks like that welcome committee we were expecting, just arrived, right Midge?” asked Marc.

“That’s them all right, they wouldn’t win any prizes for the best looking fighter would they?” replied Midge.

“It’s time for the first of our precaution measures, that was worked out yesteron,” ordered Marc casually.

“Activating first precaution now Marc,” confirmed Midge.

Tayce walked on deck feeling happier than she had felt for a long time. Tom followed on. Tayces happy feeling quickly disappeared as her eyes caught sight of the welcome committee through the main sight port. Play time was over, firmly. The matter of rescuing the Greymarians and taking on Lord Dion and his army was very much at the forefront. She crossed to Marc, whilst Tom took up the nearest seat at a computer console, which happened to be Lances position. He began keying in the sequence to find out what was what on the enemy fighters, hovering in a stationary orbit. Tayce moved into her seat, as Marc let her take over. Midge announced that defence precautions were in place. Marc flicked a switch to show Tayce the whole outside of Amalthea. The whole cruiser was surrounded in a bright red energy aura of defence and protection against the Boglayons. She congratulated Midge and Marc for acting quickly, especially as the welcome committee looked so menacing. It was time to show this Lord Dion, that he was not the only one calling all the shots in this area of the Universe, even if his planet was the only one for milons. She informed Midge they were going to play Lord Dion at his own tactics. By this, Midge knew what Tayce was driving at, she was about to give this Pirate leader as good as he was going to try and dish out. He confirmed that he was more than ready. Everyone present around Tayce looked at her, wondering what she was going to attempt. Without warning first. As Tayce began to manoeuvre the cruiser, to play an almost cat and mouse game with the fighters, something their obvious leader became infuriated about. Over the Aircom of Amalthea came a demanding powerful deep callous male tone.

“I don’t know who you are, but your playing with fire, state the nature of your business here, before I grow tired of this tactics that your attempting upon my men and destroy you,” he said growing tired and becoming increasingly frustrated.

Midge suddenly placed a visual of the male matching the demand on the Sight Screen. His black leatherex clad muscular upper torso almost filled the width of the screen. He looked at Tayce, as if he was burning right into her very existence, with his powerful dark brown eyes. He was not what she had expected for a Pirate leader and could see why women so easily fell under his powerful influence. He had jet black collar length curly hair and smouldering bearded features that gave him the devil may care look but even though she knew that she shouldn’t think it, he was rather sexy to say the least. But Tayce realised that those features so easily could turn cold, that would show you no mercy if he so wished to.

“Be careful Tayce,” whispered Tom over her shoulder.

“Am I addressing Lord Dion, leader of the Boglayon Pirates?” asked Tayce showing that she was not the least bit intimidated by his powerful appearance on screen.

“You haven’t answered my question woman, time is growing close for your demise,” he retorted his brown eyes showing their true fire and anger.

“You haven’t confirmed that your the leader of the Boglayon Pirates and until you do, I am not prepared to divulge the nature of my reason for being in your Universe, so the longer you keep me waiting, the longer you’ll discover my reason for being here,” said Tayce enjoying this match.

After a brief pause, came an exasperating sigh of frustration from the Pirate leader on screen, this woman intrigued him and infuriated him all at the same time he thought. She wasn’t like all the other females he had encountered. This pleased Tayce, she could see that she was getting to this Pirate Lord, like no other female had dared to attempt.

“I am Dion, you are?” he quickly turned the tables on Tayce playing her as she was him.

“Colonel Traun of Amalthea One, you have something that belongs to Questa Headquarters Base, in the form of the Greymaren Crew, I’m here to take them back,” replied Tayce simply to the point.

“Colonel I am unable to full fill your request, do not come any closer to Boglayia, my men are on standby and from this moment on you have now outstayed your welcome,” he said cutting communication abruptly.

Tayce knew by this, that he had just given her all she wanted to know. Now it was a case of going in, to get what they wanted. She turned ordering Marc to be prepared to go and tell the others, it was time. He agreed leaving the seat and going on out to get everyone ready. Dean entered Organisation, Tom turned informing him of what was happening. Without warning, the Boglayans in the welcome committee opened fire on the cruiser. Much to Midges relief, he was glad the protection shield was operative. The impact had little effect. One missile
bounced off the shield and blew up the enemy fighter, blowing it to smithereens. Midge took overall control, advising Tayce to go on with the Quest, he could handle this bunch of unlawful vagabonds. Tayce knew that he wouldn’t let her down, they had been through worse than the likes of the Boglayan Army, when they used to be on their own. Tom and Dean briskly fell in behind her walking on out of Organisation.

Amalthea outside was firing back at the welcome committee and dodging their constant bombardment of weapon fire, as the cruiser ploughed through the line of fighters, on its determined set course for Boglayia to rescue the Greymarians. An exchange of Slazer Cannon and energy missiles, between the Amalthea One and on coming fighters to stop them reaching their destination Boglayia was exchanged. But the protection shield around Amalthea held fast, as she ripped her pathway through to the Quest ahead.

On board Tayce and the Quest team had soon changed into their Combat Quest suits. They were all making their way to the Travelsport Centre, checking their Slazer handguns as they went. They looked every inch the crime fighting team they were, heading into battle, in order to get the Greymarians back. They, if they had to would destroy the device that had taken the Greymarians where they were being held captive, once the rescue had been achieved and everyone was safely back where they belonged. Tom glanced at Tayce, he could see she was more than prepared to take on the likes of Lord Dion face to face if she had to. He recalled the fact that she had fought Vargon using some kind of inner force, would she use this on this Lord Dion? It concerned him also that he may try and turn her power against her, if she did. But nothing would stop her. They all soon stepped into the Travelsport marked area and waited their Slazers primed, ready to shoot the moment they arrived on Boglayia.

“Midge activate Travelsport, now!” ordered Tayce via her Wristlink.

“Activating now, good luck Tayce,” replied Midge.

The Travelsport activated sending the whole of the Quest team off to what was to be the most dangerous and life threatening quest to date.

Boglayia was dark upon arrival and the strong smell of musty male body odour hung in the air, along with the smell of Vardox. Judging by it’s potency, it hadn’t been long after the last celebration of victory spoils. In the caverns ahead men ran back and forth busy carrying what could only be described as expensive looking equipment. Obviously stolen during that last raid. The Quest team watched from the shadows as they materialised in the unpleasant atmosphere. Much to Tayces surprise, she was joined by a fighting group from Questa Headquarters Base, headed by a man who introduced himself as Combat Chief Paul Penfron. Tayce listened as the chief announced that General Largon had sent him and his team of thirty men to assist her in the rescue of the Greymarians. Tayce felt that even though Jonathan was only trying to protect her, this chief and his team were just going to get in the way of a very finely tuned and dangerous operation. He quickly and politely assured her.

“Colonel if you feel that this rescue is too dangerous to you and your team, we would be quite happy to take it out of your hands,” he offered.

“No, it’s fine, we can handle the likes of this Lord Dion, your men are more than welcome though to assist my team, but as far as your team or yourself taking over this Quest, General Largon asked myself and my team to come here and take care of this rescue and that’s what were going to do,” said Tayce to the point.

Who did this chief think he was she thought, did he think that she was some helpless female that couldn’t take on the likes of Lord Dion? Well he was very much mistaken. But the chief was surprised that she hadn’t been fooled by his wanting to take over the rescue of the Greymarians, from her, he considered her one gutsy woman. Tayce suggested they get going. Slowly the Amalthean Quests team, with the combat team from Questa crept along the dimly lit cavernous corridor, heading to the centre point of Lord Dions domain without hopefully being detected. Dean shielded Treketa, watching for the first sign of trouble. Tayce noticed that whatever bad feeling there had been between them, had now been resolved and they seemed to be close once more. She rounded a corridor kind of cross section and was grabbed swiftly and from sight in a matter of cencrons from the team, in a muffled gasp. A strong black leatherex gloved hand went over her mouth, whilst another dragged her quickly with strong grip out of sight and presence of the others. She tried to struggle and fight back to break loose, against the strong muscular extreme strength. Whoever this was, they were not prepared to let her escape at any cost. Marc was alarmed to say the least, that his worst fear had been proven, Tayce had been grabbed to God knows where and had it been by Lord Dion himself no doubt.

“Tayce is missing,” said Marc in alarm, all kinds of nasty scenario thoughts, were rushing through his mind as to what might happen to her. Without warning overhead came the words Marc and the others did not want to hear. They came from none other than the Boglayon leader himself.

“Teams of apprehension, if you wish to see your beautiful Colonel alive and as you remember her, you had better try and find me, though I might add, I am not going to make it easy for you,” said Lord Dion in plain tone.

Marc now knew where Tayce was, in the hands of Lord Dion himself. He gave an enraged look. They had to find this main point and get Tayce back before it was too late and she ended up like other women that had befallen Lord Dions spell. Everyone was now more eager than ever to get this Quest started. They continued on in alert in search of where Tayce was being held captive, in the powerful hands of a man she did not want to be. Chief Penfron didn’t want to appear interfering, but informed Marc that he was quite prepared to send his men in, or offer expert advice in this situation, they now faced. Marc gave him a look much to say, that he was listening.

“Commander Dayatso I know the Colonel is probably in danger to you, but she strikes me as the kind of woman who would do her damnedest to keep the likes of this Dion at bay, my advice is let the Colonel keep this leader busy and we head off and find the machine and rescue the Greymarians, that we were both sent on this Quest to do, then we can go after this Lord Dion all together, rescue your Colonel,” suggested Paul.

“You go on and take the Quest members here Donaldo and Treketa are medically trained, you might need them, I’ll go on, see if I can find where this barbarian has Tayce, I don’t like the idea of her being in his presence any longer than she needs to, considering what he’s done to countless women before,” said Marc.

“Very well, just as long as you feel that you don’t need one of my men to assist you, we’ll join up with you just as soon as we can,” replied Paul.

“Yes I’ll be fine, good luck mate,” said Marc sure of himself.

“Don’t take any chances Marc, shoot him if you have to,” said Tom.

“If I have to take drastic measures to save Tayce, I will,” replied Marc in a loyal way.

Paul a blonde tall and broad military type of man, began away with the members of the Quest team, mixed in with his men in the direction to search the cavernous corridors for the Time Jump Dimensional Suspension Device. Which was no doubt hid well. Lord Dion was not the kind of being to leave something that gave him an advantage in the situation such as holding the Greymarians capture for the fun of it on show. But the combat team had their own equipment that would be an equal match for any tricks that Lord Dion wanted to pull to try and stop them. Marc went on trying to search for Tayce, he knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but he’d been trained for dayons like this when he was back on Traun. He would try and gain the knowledge he needed, by listening in to the Pirates chatter amongst themselves, without being caught then head in.

Deep within the caverns of the Boglayon Hideout in the domain of Lord Dion, Tayce stood before the man himself. She was finding the fact, she hadn’t bargained on this Lord Dion being the most amazing handsome man she’d ever seen. He was tall, muscular and broad. He had the kind of eyes that could seduce any female and he was doing a good job on her ri
ght now. But, she was fighting back, she realised that he could so easily possess her if she dropped her guard for a moment, if he so wished. Right now those dark brown eyes felt like they were staring right into the heart of her, as she stood before him. Was he reading her mind, searching her memories for some weakness to which he could act on, even though she tried to resist. She knew one thing, that he was beginning to make her feel so wrong, in the most alluring soft surrendering feelings of ecstasy that she could ever feel. Somehow she wished he was not her enemy. But he was, she had to keep this in mind. He stood on a one step platform and looked down at her in a commanding greatly interested way pleased at what he was doing to her enjoying every minon. He stepped of the platform and began walking forth.

“For a woman, your amazingly beautiful and easy to possess,” he said softly in a seducing charming way, reaching out to grab her with his leather clad hands as he came to a pause before her

Tayce couldn’t resist, as he brought her in towards him. He knew that he was winning in overpowering this beauty before him. It was as if she was being possessed by some unknown immense powerful force, she found herself compelled to look into his dark eyes and was feeling lost of why she had to resist. She began to lose what sanity she had, but strangely without warning she found the powerful strength to fight inside rising again, against him. But he was proving to strong for her to hold off. It was an emotional tug of war. He was liking the fact she was becoming helpless as she dropped her guard for a cencron, until she concentrated harder managing to brake his overpowering hold on her with little effort. She felt the strength rising again with more power to resist the second time around and step back away from him. But as soon as she dropped her guard away from him, he was ready and went back at her with more powerful determination than before.
