A lonely tear trickles down her face and she nods. I slide the ring on her finger and she pulls my hands, drawing me to my feet. “Yes,” she says, and my smile breaks free. All the tension and nerves I felt before I got here have long gone.

There’s lots of clapping and cheering. It wasn’t my intention to take away from the great work they’ve done, but as soon as I laid eyes on her when I entered, I knew I had to do it. She wraps her arms around me and my eyes find Mack and Jack. They’re standing about ten feet away, grinning from ear to ear. I’m glad they’re pleased. Jack is wiping his eyes and Mack puts his arm around him, offering him comfort.

Ella is my life, and I’m hoping that everything will go in our favour when it comes to Jack. I know my wife to be will be devastated if things don’t go to plan.

I’ve always hoped and prayed that my life would head in the right direction. That our paths would bring us together. Right now, in this moment, I’m thankful for everything and everyone in my life. Especially my perfect Ella.

  She’s my light.

  She’s my everything.

KAREN FRANCES IS THE AUTHOR of eleven romance novels and two novellas.

She currently lives just outside Glasgow, Scotland, with her husband, five children and two dogs, although she does dream of living somewhere warm and sunny. Her days are spent helping her husband run their busy family business. She spends some of her free time trying to keep fit and prepare healthy meals for her family, when their busy schedules allow them to sit down at meal times together. The rest of her free time she uses to plot and write and occasionally read.

Karen writes stories that are both believable and full of life. More often than not she loves sending her readers on an emotional journey alongside her characters.

WRITING THIS PART OF THE book terrifies me. I’m always scared that I miss someone’s name out, someone that has played a huge part in making this book a reality.

So if I do miss anyone, I’m apologising now. I’m sorry.

Through all the ups and downs life throws my way, I’m still blessed with amazing family and friends who support and encourage me. I also have an incredible team who help me bring my stories to life.

Paul and my kids, it’s been tougher than usual lately but with all your help and support, I got there in the end. Although if the kids would stop bickering I might make things a little easier. Love you to the moon and back.

My friends and family, you are always there when I need you and I can’t imagine not having any of you in my life. Love you all.

Laura, Maxine and not forgetting Suzie, I really would be lost without you. Love you.

April and Leah, thank you for once again reading a very rough draft of Scripted Love and giving me your honest feedback.

Margaret, thanks again for the final read through.

Karen, my editor and friend, I think I’m running out of words for you. Love you.

Kari, as always you are the best.

Christine, you are also the best at what you do.

I’ve been fortunate and made so many friends on this incredible journey so far, some I’ve met and others I hope to meet one day.

To all the bloggers and authors that I know and don’t know within our amazing community, you all rock.

To all the readers, thank you.
