The Chronicles of Syra Omnibus

  Cole began working on an idea that the White House be considered a sacred historical place and no changes could ever take place to it without the will of the people. He believed that they should only change the residential area. It was in all intents and purposes a history museum. But with every administration, it went through a process like a chameleon.

  It had always been redecorated to fit the desires of the current residing president. But Cole felt as though it should represent the people because it did, in fact, belong to them.

  When the call came in from the secret backdoor channel com’s room, Cole was ready as usual. He would be sure to hand that room over to his predecessor when he stepped down and the will of the people once again spoke.

  It was agreed that now would be the time to start the process of turning the negative alien-human concept into something positive.

  Meanwhile, on Earth II Caldiron started sending scientists of the U.S. a few gifts of knowledge, each gift having his signature on it.

  Caldiron planned on eventually doing this for the rest of the world but not for now. If Caldiron and Cole could turn things around in the U.S., the rest of the world may welcome contact or at least they had hoped it would.

  Caldiron informed Cole of the meaning behind the handprint on his monument on the north lawn and if in the future he got into trouble he need only to make it to that impression and place his in it.

  Cole knew that trouble meant WWIII on U.S. soil or something equal in destruction!

  The shield around the monument was incredibly strong and no one could get near it. They could, however, stand back and view its beauty and wonder what kind of stone it was made of.

  When Trevil was in the White House, he had tried several times to get rid of the monument but eventually gave up because of the resistance he got and because no equipment could get near it.

  At one point, Trevil had a building erected around it to hide the monument and had even had his own name placed on all four sides in gold lettering. That was the first thing Cole removed!

  Meanwhile, Bella Borisovna, Ph.D. had been working on her own batch of those seeds that were nearly destroyed several years ago.

  Bella was born in the U.S., but her parents had defected from Russia and she was always concerned that she may be deported to Russia, so she kept some of her work hidden.

  An open channel between her and the Zhian botanist bot, Coriyan, helped Bella finally get her seeds ready to release to the masses. She knew some would not want them because she was Russian, but America was the only home she had ever known, and she was legal in the U.S.

  This generation of seeds was not only disease resistant as before, but the vegetables grew to enormous sizes which fed more. Being a botanist had its ups and downs but when she, with the help of Coriyan, developed the plants and had them growing and producing in her greenhouse it was proof it was one of the biggest breakthroughs in botany science to date!

  President Cole and his administration fought for Bella’s seeds to fill the markets by incentives for farmers if they used these seeds.

  Quickly, the major seed companies started to study the seeds looking for any fault in them and could not find any. It wasn’t long before it became a contest between the free seed farmers and the contracted farmers. It was no contest when it came to the free seeds versus the branded packaged seeds.

  Clearly, the end results of size and nutrition of the free seeds won by choice of the masses. Partly because they were free but because of the size and the ability to feed more for the same cost.

  After the first year’s crops were in, many were outraged that they had allowed Mr. Trevil to convince them to destroy the very thing that could, would have saved hundreds of thousands that had already died from starvation! Many food items were simply not available or far too expensive and many of the poor did without.

  But in order to get folks to warm up to the thought that aliens had lived among them and could do so once again if accepted, several geneticists had Syra’s DNA on file and had been studying it for several years.

  They had also studied those offspring of half Zhian and half human couples with astounding positive results.

  But when they were finally able to send out their findings, it sent a shockwave across the United States. Syra’s mitochondrial DNA was shared with millions of women. It was proven that there were some exciting advancements in her DNA that progressed over time on her planet because her planet was much older than Earth.

  President Cole knew it would take a whole lot more than food to win his people over. But this new development, if nothing else, would cause a movement among all women and united them!

  When this breaking news was released, almost every woman wanted her mtDNA or mitochondrial DNA tested to see if they were in any way related to Syra.

  For the next year, many of them stood in line to purchase these DNA kits and at one point, prices dropped so low almost every woman had gotten one of those kits!

  As the results started to come in, some were closer matches than others, but a new movement started that year.

  The #ImaSyraSister movement on social media was growing by the hundreds of thousands! They began marching on Washington for change. They wanted the new laws reversed that made it illegal for an alien to enter into America’s borders from any other country or planet.

  Everyone wanted to cash in on the movement and it wasn’t long until Syra’s photograph was on hats, shirts, coffee mugs, and even billboards.

  Never had it been thought of as cool to be half-alien or an illegal alien until now!

  The march on Washington of the woman soon had men join them as many of them shared the mtDNA of Syra’s female lines.

  The geneticist group who was researching this phenomenon could only determine that a few thousand years ago, there had to have been a visit from Syra’s people. The visitor may have not stayed long, but she left behind the DNA as proof that she had visited us before.

  There were clear signs that hundreds of thousands of the United States citizens were clearly sharing their DNA with Syra. No results were in from other countries and no one expected there to ever be.

  One thing for certain, many of the women now living in the United States whose descendants had migrated from different parts of the world shared Syra’s DNA.

  Syra now had a spokesperson and that was none other than Brandi the waitress from the greasy spoon whose DNA was one of those that matched in the higher percentile. Brandi had also carried a conversation with Syra and some saw that she should speak for her and in behalf of her.

  Brandi no longer worked in the greasy spoon in Florida; she had left that job years ago and married a man who came into the restaurant while he waited for a wrecker to pick up his sports car.

  He fell in love with Brandi’s feisty attitude and married her not long afterward. Now that Brandi was distantly related to Syra, her husband was determined to spend millions of dollars if needed to lobby for making Syra an honorary citizen of the United States.

  This was a special title created just for Syra and in her honor. It wasn’t that anyone expected Syra to ever return, nor did they expect President Caldiron to return, but they would do everything they could to encourage her return or acceptance by the people.

  President Cole after having a long discussion with President Caldiron from Earth II discussed what the best approach was for getting the regulations back in to place that Trevil had removed.

  He really wanted to just reverse the changes Trevil made all at once but that was not going to happen. One step at a time Caldiron reminded him, one step at a time.

  Caldiron suggested Cole start with the Clean Air Act first. Not too much extra damage had been done to the air yet since those regulations were removed so there was still time. The Protect our Land Act and Save The Oceans Act would follow next in that order.

  As each of these regulations was slowly being set back up to protect the env
ironment, DNA testing was used to show before and after comparison to the health of the nation and its people.

  Clearly, diseases had been on the rise since all those protective regulations were removed and this and this alone was enough for the America people to support the president.

  Those acts were broad but came with a lot of things you could not do! It was a beginning to trying to save Earth and to put in motion events that would eventually repair the damage done.

  Unfortunately, as Cole had told his administration and the people, it would be up to all of them to save Earth for future generations. The path they were on between all nations was of mutual destruction.

  President Cole had done so much to correct the mess Trevil had created so his followers decided they had lost America to aliens and started migrating to Canada.

  The Prime Minister had to put a cap on how many could enter but soon saw the answer was to give them a remote area that was virtually uninhabited, where conditions were difficult to live to say the least.

  They were happy to get this land to live on, but the land was so remote they could not even pick up news channels and communications were scarce.

  The Prime Minister believed that this was what they truly wanted and granted citizenship to any of Trevils followers to work the land and survive on it.

  He knew no one would live in that area because of its remoteness and harsh living conditions, but Trevil’s followers were angry and wanted nothing to do with America and would most certainly be happy to live there.

  Things were so bad for Trevil’s extended family that anyone with that last name was unwelcome and they started selling their investments in land and businesses in America and most moved to Russia and several other countries where they got an open-arms invitation.

  The Trevil family had cost the United States a lot in the years they ran the nation because they wanted a country they could own. What they really learned was that America was not for sale.

  President Cole had completed Caldiron’s remaining term, which was less than four years. He then ran for president and won.

  One of Caldirons concerns was once the world knew of Earth II, more would want to leave Earth than fix it and Earth II had not invited them yet. That would only happen one day when it would be feasible to transport many and that was not an option for now.

  Cole had it set up with a major network to send in a special news feed from planet Earth II. This would allow all the citizen of the United States to see their sister planet and its inhabitants.

  That direct channel gave Syra a voice, President Caldiron a voice and all the Americans that had married to a Zhianite who now lived on Earth II a chance to appear from time to time to talk about the state they were from, who their ancestors were and life on Earth II in general.

  It was no doubt a race against time to save Earth and even the government was starting to see that by now.

  Global warming had become a reality. But just knowing there was an Earth II was comforting to many. Just knowing humans would not go extinct, after all, made it easier to accept aliens, legal or illegal, and they were welcomed in America.

  The United States became a role model for the rest of the world and the United Nations adopted America’s philosophies.

  Unfortunately, it would be many generations before a real positive change in saving Earth would be noticeable. With advice coming in from Earth II on the Earth II Channel, scientist watched it daily for information they could use to further their studies.

  Each day of the week a different area was featured for this re-education of a better safer world.

  Syra knew there was no guarantee she or Earth II could save Earth, but they had the United States on their side despite the opposition from many third world countries that were so backward in their beliefs, they would rather die from diseases they always died from than take a chance on the unknown.

  Syra and her son Zach knew they had done all they could do for now to help Earth. The citizens of Earth would have to learn to help themselves. The people of Earth needed not to wait for someone to work that miracle, but for them to perform it themselves. They now had the tools of which to do this, but only time would tell.

  It was Syra’s and Zach’s hope that America would become an example and that this new way of life would catch on.

  Earth II citizens had been working around the clock to complete the rest of the construction of the new city. The new city would be where its citizens lived. It would be a self-supporting city made up of the citizen's sphere in the center where the city’s inhabitants grew their own food, make their own clothing, manufactured whatever was needed.

  Designed much like Settlement I but on a much larger scale, the city would hold no offices nor administrative duties, and none were performed there.

  The settlement I had been renamed Central Command Center and every part of it was dedicated to Earth II and overseeing its functions.

  The new city was named The City of Life, it was designed to handled Earth II’s growing population and dedicated to the citizen's happiness and ability to thrive.

  Earth II had resources in abundance, but the citizens of Earth II were determined not to make the same mistakes its counterparts had.

  Much would need to be done to save Earth, but they also had to spend as much time as possible to establish their own governmental structure. Mapping Earth II had been a great task and was almost complete.

  When this was finally completed, along with all the mapping of resources, Earth II citizens would name each landmass and so on.

  But it was left up to the people of Earth II to start thinking about how they wanted their government set up. To come up with a plan for checks and balances in leadership. They simply were not there yet in the need to address these issues, but they were listed as top priority.

  There would be no excuses for a major breakdown in their society nor war between the land masses. Especially since the first civilization on Earth II had known by experience what not to do between life on the planet Zhian and life on planet Earth.

  Today was the tenth-year anniversary since the landing of the Zhian Sphere. There was a lot to celebrate on Earth II today. The video feed was set up in several places so Earth and those in the United States could celebrate with Earth II.

  The stage was set, the music ready, the food, flowers and anything else they could think of including the cameras waiting for that moment when Syra stepped out on stage followed by her son Zach Caldiron.

  Everyone was excited for many reasons and had waited a very long time for this day. Once the celebration was over, they could officially move into their new homes in The City of Life. Everything was packed and ready to go.

  Earth was watching, at least in America, but some said the feed had been rerouted to Russia but there was no proof of that.

  The music started, and the lights came on and the cameras were rolling. No announcer was necessary.

  Syra was dressed in her beautiful silver gown and had her long black hair with silver highlights braided and it was wrapped around the crown of her head.

  She waited on stage as the crowd cheered and she remained silent while her husband James walked forward and stood next to her. Then, Zach walked forward and stood to one side of Syra and Zoey on the other side where her father James stood up and they all bowed as the crowd cheered.

  All the eyes across America watched as Syra stepped forward and spoke. Everyone on Earth II was as mesmerized as the American’s on Earth were at Syra’s beauty and her youth.

  She spoke with grace and with style and told her story.

  Greetings Earth and Earth II inhabitants, I bid you well.

  Most of you have wondered for many years of who I am. This you hear from me, it is the truth as I know it.

  I was conceived over 2,000 years ago by my parents Arteemus and Allieah, but my birth was delayed via Zhian technologies until the appropriate time.

 
My parents expired when their transportation pod crashed into the wall of the main tower on Zhian. The essence of them and their being were preserved and reside in the Central Core of the Zhian Sphere.

  After giving the history of how they found Earth II, ultimately settling there, leaving her children behind they had no other choice but to move them to Earth II also.

  I would like to introduce you, all of you, to my parents, Arteemus and Allieah from Zhian.

  There was a moment of silence as the holocom unit made a small adjustment. Then, Arteemus and Allieah made their first appearance via the Zhian Sphere to not only Earth II inhabitants but also Earth.

  Greetings! I am Allieah, the mother of Syra. Her father is Arteemus who stands by me now to my left. This has been the day we have waited for, for as long as many lifetimes of most of you.

  Upon Syra’s birth, she was taught of her calling. To fly across space and to find Earth once again as her female ancestor had once done a long time ago.

  I, Allieah and my daughter Syra, are direct descendants of one female that once visited Earth on an expedition. Her name was also Syra whom my daughter is named in her honor.

  She was an explorer and when she landed on Earth her ship was damaged. It would take several of your Earth years to make repairs.

  Her mechanical and pilot bot had to make the repairs, so she spent some time on Earth. Syra the explorer was my grandmother.

  She would have stayed on Earth, but it was against her directive. Her orders were to explore and then return to Zhian with a full report.

  To have stayed meant the Zhian technologies she had with her would have been discovered by early man and that could not have been allowed.

  When her ship was repaired, she did the honorable thing and returned to Zhian.

  She had given birth to a child, a female child. She could not bring her aboard her ship back to Zhian and had left her behind with the child’s father who was an Earthman who also could not travel with her.
