Niall

“Good day?” She teased him.
Niall nodded. “Aye, another good day. We finished planting the west field and helped some of the neighbors with theirs, as well. But coming home to you? That’s the best part of my day.”
She grinned. “Does that mean we’re going to have more goodies coming our way?”
He chuckled. “No doubt.”
The neighbors loved him, his brogue, and how excited he was to farm the land. Many were also ardent followers of the YouTube channel she kept up to date. They enjoyed knowing a local celebrity.
He straightened. “I’m off to take a shower, then. Any chance ye want to join me?” His golden eyes teased, and she couldn’t say she wasn’t tempted.
“Not with my grandma in the house, I don’t.”
He chuckled, and she watched him go, his kilt showing off strong, tanned legs.
She remembered how striking he’d looked in his wedding finery wearing white dress shirt, clan tartan, and leather boots.
Hmm. It wasn’t every day that a girl had two incredibly romantic weddings.
But the first one, under the stars, with just the two of them, would always be her favorite.

Author note
Another ghost gets his girl! Throwing these two lonely souls together was certainly a joy.
My stories are always about family, in one form or another. Either creating entirely new ones, or having lonely characters join, and be welcomed by, another.
Niall is one of the good guys, and his heart has ached over the centuries over the consequences his actions may have had on another. It’s funny how stories turn out sometimes. I envisioned Fiona being a temptress, who’d badgered poor Niall until he’d succumbed. Haha! I wanted my poor Highlander innocent of any wrongdoing. But, as they do, characters take on a life of their own, and it turned out Niall and Fiona were just young, in love, and human.
Jenny really touched my heart in that she was scared to put herself out there, to risk, and so she never expected to find love.
Her worry for her brother and his wife is genuine. She may not ever have the big romance she wants, but she doesn't want to see the lucky ones around her lose theirs. I love that about her!
But … I do think every woman should get her very own hero, Highlander or otherwise.
My editor has asked for her own ghost. A brown-eyed blond. I think I can accommodate her.
Ronan Finnie? You wild and crazy spook! Are you ready? Lol!
Again, thank you, wonderful readers, for following us on the Ghosts of Culloden Moor journey. We do love these Highlanders. And we’re so glad you do too.
