Wow, what a journey. Typing “the end” at the conclusion of Lera of Lunos was soul wrenching. With many readers asking great questions about the future of Lera and her guys, I wanted to answer a few common ones now.
Is this really the end?
Yes. Well, no. Although this Power of Five story is finished, I’m not ready to say goodbye to Lera and her males. Our immortal gang will be back in 2019, but in a different format. If the Power novels were akin to feature films, in 2019 the gang will be returning for a new adventure in an episode format. Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer with fae. The episodes - novellas - will be released at regular intervals, each with an internal story and an over all season arc. This new series will be called Great Falls Academy. Although Great Falls Academy will take place about six months after the conclusion of Lera or Lunos, the stories will be independent.
Why this new episode format?
Episodes are a different way of telling a story. When logging into Netflix lately, I’ve found myself gravitating toward watching episode-based shows instead of choosing full-length films. Since I enjoy watching this type of media, I decided to explore it with my story telling in Great Falls Academy.
Can you tell us Great Falls Academy’s premise?
Yes. To protect the human world, Lera and the quint will accept a mission to go undercover to Great Falls Academy - only to face a magical accident that makes the males truly believe themselves the Academy’s human students and teachers.
How many episodes will be in the Great Falls Academy season? When is the release date?
As of this writing (December, 2018) I only have rough estimates. I estimate the season to be about 10 episodes and anticipate publication to start in late spring or early summer of 2019.
