Rachel rose to her feet, taking Leah’s breath away with the picture she made.
Leah hugged her and whispered, “I know exactly what she’d say, Rachel. She’d tell you to go out there and marry that man of yours and live every moment of your life to the fullest.”
“Do you think?”
Leah nodded. “I know.”
Her sister hugged her again then turned to head for the door. She stopped halfway there and looked at her over her shoulder. “Oh, by the way. That big box with the Women Only wrapping paper I saw in your car this morning had better be for me.”
Leah stood back and smiled, then smoothed the red silk of her dress before going out to join her adored and adoring husband and her daughter in the first pew, wondering why more people didn’t lead their lives with their hearts and forget about their heads.
