Awakened by the Vampire

A shudder wracked her. “Liam, I love you. I feel like a mess right now. Like I can’t trust you.”
He frowned. “Tell me what’s wrong.”
“My father cheated. I caught him out when I boarded one of his flights to Boston. I went there on summer break with Rachel and Casey. I overheard him flirting with a flight attendant. It was devastating. The way my friends looked at me in shock…it hurt to hear what he’d been doing behind my mom’s back. I confronted him, and he said it was harmless. Yeah, like explicitly talking about fucking her in his hotel room meant nothing. He had no remorse. He told me that he and my mom were no longer close. Soon as I got home, I had to tell her. She broke down, had suspected it for months, but stayed with him for the sake of appearances.”
Liam glowered. “Bastard.”
She flinched. “I know, but he’s still my dad. Eventually, they divorced but not after I had to see every row when he got home, the constant arguing. It took a toll on me. I thought all relationships were doomed to fall apart eventually until I met Trevor. I know, I was blind and stupid, but I fell for him the moment we danced together in prom. I thought he was the one, he supported me financially which seemed so sweet.”
She shook her head, the pain of Trevor’s betrayal still new even though it felt like a lifetime ago.
“Long story short, I caught him in bed with Sandra.”
“The hunter.”
She nodded. “I arrived home early after my shift, usually I took a few hours to study, but anyway, he was fucking her. Had that same impassive look on his face like my dad did. Only felt guilty about being caught out. It’s just been hard for me to trust anyone, even you and I want to so badly. You’ve done more for me than my dad and Trevor combined, but…”
Liam held her close, his wetness seeping into her skin. “I don’t expect you to drop all the baggage from your past, Madison. It’s not an easy thing to escape, I know that damn well. But just remember, they’re only shadows to you now. You can turn away.” He kissed her deeply. “Take all the time you need to trust me. I’ll be here.”
She looked up at him. He hadn’t brushed aside her issues, he listened fully and still accepted her. God, she was lucky. This was the kind of love she’d craved, the encompassing connection she believed was a fairytale for hopeless romantics.
But it’d come true for her.
And her rush of happiness and relief was sobered by Ethan’s warning. “Anyway, Ethan said war’s inevitable. He won’t help, but said it’s up to us to take action.”
Liam was silent for a moment, getting that brooding gleam in his eyes. “No idea why they’d be reckless like this. Nothing much we can do if they end the truce. All we have is the Awakening.”
“We don’t know what’ll happen if we start it, it could end badly.”
“Any worse than the war that’s coming?”
She hesitated. “No. Guess you’re right.”
“It could be the nail in the coffin. The key to creating peace.”
Liam looked at her, his eyes no longer pained. He began caressing her face and then lowered his hand, trailing it down her arm to wrap it around her waist and pull her close. Their wet clothes collided, thin barriers between them.
“What’ll we do?” she breathed. Feeling Liam was comforting yet distracting. “If we don’t stop the Council, so many will die.”
“Just relax.” Liam smiled, and gently pressed his forehead against hers. “I’ll take care of it.”
His assurance coaxed a smile from her, but the realization they were the only ones who stood between a war elicited an undeniable pressure. She was panicking. She couldn’t help it. Her breaths came heavy but with Liam’s body around her, she felt it slowly drain away.
“I’ll help you relax,” he offered with a mischievous smile.
Madison grinned. It was obvious his thoughts were elsewhere. She stepped forward and kissed him, allowing herself to release all concerns over the Council and the upcoming war. He pulled her against him, allowing her to feel the hard planes of his chest, every rivet of solid muscle. He took her breath away. His kiss fell on her, hard and all consuming. His passion was devastating, each touch of his lips on hers getting her tight, her panties heavy. She pressed her damp legs together.
Liam tore away, his eyes glittering with dark desire. “Let me make this up to you.”
He lowered to his knees, his fingers slipping between her pants and skin. She gasped. He undid her jeans and peeled the wet fabric down, inch by torturous inch. He grasped her panties and tore them free with a rip. She jolted against the force of his strength, her body tense. And with an intake of raw hunger, he buried his mouth against her naked pussy.
She moaned, wringing her hands through his damp hair as his lips tasted her, wrapping around her folds, his wet silkiness caressing her clit. He covered her completely, slipping his tongue into her depths. It felt like heaven and hell all at once, the delicious sensation and the torture from being tight and empty.
“Liam, I need your cock!”
She clung to him, begging for more as her orgasm built up, driven by the thrusts of his tongue inside her. When his thumb touched her clit, rubbing her, her knees buckled.
He always knew how to make her come fast and hard, and she felt that familiar, achingly good movement of his tongue circling her, lips gently sucking as his thumb teased her until she was swollen and soaking.
God, she needed his hard-as-steel cock inside her now.
Madison reached for his shirt and tore it free from his body. Liam peeled off her top and threw it aside. He unclipped her bra with ease and broke away, groaning at the sight of her. His lips were glistening, contorted with a look of pure desire. He grasped her, pulling her up and onto him, taking her over to the couch and laying her down. It shook beneath them and she looked up at him, waiting. She was wet, tingling with anticipation. She stared at his sculpted, naked chest, watching as he undid his pants and exposed himself.
His cock sprung free. She longed to have him inside her but he seemed to enjoy lengthening the foreplay.
She thumbed her clit. “Don’t you want to feel me come around you?”
He growled. “I’ll come just from looking at you, babe. Let me fuck those tits of yours. I want my come dripping all over you as I take you.”
She grabbed her breasts, kneading her hard nipples as she met his hungry gaze. He towered over her, his thick cock prominent.
“Yeah, press them together. So sexy.”
She did as he asked, her globes filling her hands. Liam knelt before her, guiding his cock as he slipped between her breasts. Her breath caught in her throat from the sensation. He was rock hard, gliding against her supple skin as he pumped back and forth. She watched the head of his cock thrust up at her, beaded with pre-cum, the motion making her breasts shake. The sight only spurred him to thrust harder.
She gasped, loving how he didn’t hold back. He claimed all of her as his. He owned her body and she just wanted to give him everything, to have him this raw and passionate for her. He was going to fuck her however he wanted. She’d never felt this way…before Liam.
His balls slapped against her. He let out one long groan before she felt him shudder and pulse. Streams of milky come exploded from him, raining over her damp skin as she felt the briefest contact of heat. She bit her lip, feeling his essence brand her skin, her thighs clamped together as her pussy throbbed.
Liam pulled back, looking satisfied as his gaze trailed down the come streaking her breasts. “Damn, that was hot.”
“I’m soaked.”
His eyes lit up at that. She could feel the wetness of her inner thighs leaking between her ass. She’d never been this wet in her life. Watching his unrestrained hunger had left her wildly aroused and eager to tell him everything he made her feel.
Liam lowered over her, crushing her breasts. His come smeared over both of them as his cock slid between her legs. Hard, wet and still warm from his release. He edged closer, the tip of him pushing i
nside her with ease, the wetness of her arousal enveloping him. She wanted him so bad she was ready to scream.
“So wet and ready for me…” Liam muttered.
He filled her. God, it felt amazing. This intensity, having him so deep she wanted him to fuck her apart. She let out a moan. When his lips found hers, she tasted her sweetness on him, his breath caressing her face as they kissed with a passion that matched his heavy thrusts.
He slammed into her, shaking the couch. She wrapped her arms around his back and Liam surprised her by grasping her tight and pulling her over. He hit the floor and she was on top, his cock still deep inside.
“Wanna watch your expression as you come.”
How could she deny him? She ground against him, his hot words spurring her to ride him recklessly with wild abandon. She gyrated her hips, having him fill her each time she lowered herself completely. And looking at Liam, his face tight with need, he didn’t want her to stop.
Her breasts swayed as he pulled a nipple into his mouth, his tongue caressing her. She groaned. She was so close. She was humming, alive, every part of her wanting to break from the force of this feeling. He licked her harder, faster.
Soon they were moving together, overwhelmed with elation. He rammed up into her, jolting her body, his balls colliding with her ass. She felt his cock start to throb before he released, letting out a rough groan, filling her deep with his cum in fast, intense bursts.
That set off her orgasm. She cried out as the pleasure splintered her apart, consuming her as every drop of him filled her. She had his come all over her and coating her inner pussy walls. She’d never felt so sated and fell against him, lying in his arms as the pleasure subsided. He held her close, pressing kisses across her skin, caressing her hips as he murmured breathless compliments. She was drifting, surrendering to the love she felt for Liam, a feeling that strengthened whenever they came together and solidified in the aftermath.
She’d never felt more alive, more loved than this.
Chapter Fourteen
Madison opened her eyes, adjusting to the low light. Liam lay behind her. She lost count of how many times she’d managed to come. He fucked her for five hours after they both licked their come off each other. Five nonstop hours of mindless pleasure that made her forget all else. She’d orgasmed multiple times yet was surprised her body could handle it. She’d felt boneless, a slave to each thrust of his hard cock as he’d taken her relentlessly, making her beg, cry and talk incoherently as he fucked her dry. He’d bent her over, grabbed her hair and pounded into her. Eventually, she screamed, close to tears from the pleasure.
She thought she wouldn’t be able to recover. How was it possible to return to normal after such an experience? He’d loved her deeply, caressed every inch of her body to the point where they felt whole. Unbreakable. And she realized she’d do anything to maintain this. She would’ve abandoned her humanity to live out decades with Liam and she was no longer afraid of that intensity, the fear of the unknown.
At first, she thought her fear would be strong enough to drive her away from Liam. Fear had governed her many times during her life, but like hell she’d let it grasp her again. Liam had sparked an inner strength within her, inspired the need to fight and protect their love and whatever would come, she was ready.
They’d slept through most of the storm that was comparable to the raging passion they’d given to each other. She was unbelievably happy - and didn’t want this to end.
Liam suddenly stirred. He sat up, pulling her into an embrace. His body was hard, tense from using all his muscles to take her in multiple positions. She still couldn’t recall every moment.
“Hmm. What’s your plan?” she prompted.
“So eager to get down to business?”
“You know I’d love to be with you, but getting swept away like this is…selfish.”
He hesitated. “Like your father was? Is that where this comes from?”
She faced him. He read her so well. Guilt lingered from the memory of her mom’s pain while her dad indulged himself with other women during layovers. A guilt that made no sense until she realized she believed she was being equally indulgent with Liam while a potential war happened. The past influenced their present actions in many ways. Shadows, like Liam said, and it’d take time to release them. “Yeah, you’re right. Wow, you’re perceptive. I love you.”
“If you’re going to get gushy on me, we’ll talk business.” He grinned at his teasing, pressing a kiss to her forehead, her lips.
She laughed. “Okay.”
Seriously, she couldn’t form many words after all that sex.
“We need to pressure the Council into abandoning war and the Awakening’s all we have as leverage. The original files will be stored at the main Council in Manhattan in secure email servers. We won’t be able to just walk in. Unlike the one at Brooklyn, it has layers of security.”
That deflated her hopes. “We can’t take such a risk.”
He buried his chin against her shoulder. “But there may be a way. If I find Ava, she’ll aid us.”
A jolt of fear went through her. “Why her?”
“She’s our only option. Negotiating with the Council will solve nothing, and she won’t harm me. Her delusions ensure that.”
She bit her lip. “She knows about us.”
“And she may try to hurt you. I won’t allow it. I don’t like resorting to her, but desperate times.”
It hurt to know he was willing to turn to Ava for help, even though he was right. The war was more of a concern than his past. She couldn’t bear the thought of this all going wrong. They were treading into indefinite territory and she was terrified for them.
Liam nuzzled her. “Babe, feelings have to be pushed aside. I want a future with you, and this war will tear that apart. I’m going to take any means necessary to keep you safe. You can trust me.”
She looked into his green eyes. “I do. Truly.”
It was almost midnight when Liam pulled up in front of the Council building. Madison stared in awe at the six-story building that blended in with the commercialized street. It was the perfect facade, an innocuous structure within the central business district. The windows glinted in the moonlight, reflecting the glittering city lights. It was an impressive sight, considering it was the main Council. She’d expected a rundown building like the one in Brooklyn.
“The glass is specially tempered so sunlight can’t affect them,” Liam said.
“What a shame.”
“I won’t be long.”
Liam leaned forward and kissed her softly, holding it longer than usual. She wanted to pull him close, but restrained herself and watched him leave.
She focused on Liam as he strode to the bus shelter across the street. There was little traffic and the Council building appeared closed. She watched as he talked on his cell phone, but was too far away to hear. He’d be asking for Ava, knowing all the right words to say to bypass their security. Since the Council assumed they were dead, if one of them recognized his voice, they wouldn’t think twice.
Liam told her he’d been here three times, and doubted he’d be recognized. He stood at the bus shelter to prevent them tracing his location to their car - and her.
Finally, he returned, his face hard. “She’s willing to help.”
She hesitated. “You sure she won’t try to deceive us, lead us into a trap?”
“She wants something in exchange.”
Pain wrenched through her. “She wants you, doesn’t she?”
“Yes.”
Her heart sank at the thought, at the very implication she’d make a move on her man.
“She’ll meet us a few blocks down,” he said as he climbed into the car and slammed the door.
Anger marred his chiseled face. She’d never seen him look this livid. “Liam?”
“I know you won’t like this.” He started to drive. “She wants to discuss options with me. Alone. That leaves you open to being attacked and I sure as hel
l don’t like you being out of my sight.”
Her chest fluttered. He was thinking of her safety before his. “I’ll lock the car. I’ll be fine.”
They parked and Liam turned to look at her, brow furrowed, before the sound of a car door distracted them. She looked up to see a white limo turn sleekly next to the curb, the door opening in invitation.
“Any other vampires?” she asked, aware he could sense them.
“It’s Ava. If more come, I’ll be here before they even touch this car.”
Liam kissed her cheek. Then he was gone, and she could do nothing but watch as he walked over to the limo and got in.
She tried to stay calm. Really. But he was in there with a crazed woman who had the hots for him, pent up jealousy and the advantage. She tightened her fists. She didn’t know what she was capable of, but would fight to keep Liam safe. She’d do anything for him.
The door opened but he didn’t emerge. Madison instantly recognized the dark curly hair and proud smile on her face. Ava.
She struggled not to rip the door off the car as she stepped out to face her. She had to talk to her, to confront this obsessed vampire. As Madison approached the limo, she caught sight of Liam, his attention on a laptop. He looked up and shot her a smile.
“Why the laptop?” she demanded.
Ava answered. “I’ve given you all files the Council has regarding the Awakening. He’s uploading and organizing them on a laptop disconnected from Council servers.”
She shook her head. “Why agree to this? You tipped the Council off about me and Liam.”
“I simply did what I said I would.” Ava shrugged. “I’m not one to retract threats. But now that it’s behind us, I bid you good luck.”
Madison stepped toward her. “Are you going to tell the Council about our meeting?”
“I have no interest in informing them.”
“We could start the Awakening. Aren’t you afraid of that?”
