Dragon Wave

“What’s going on with you?” he asked, smiling.
Dante shook his head. “Nothing really. I’m just happy to be here with my friends.”
“I’ll drink to that.” Jack raised his glass.
The most powerful Mystics in the galaxy saluted each other and drank as one. Beneath the surface, their four bonded dragons rested in the place between the physical world and the Astral Plane. Their humans would face more challenges in the future but, for now, it was enough to take pride in their hard-fought respite from annihilation.
Humanity would live to see another day.
The End
If you like this book, please leave a review. This is a new series, so the only way I can decide whether to commit more time to it is by getting feedback from you, the readers. Your opinion matters to me. Continue or not? I have only so much time to craft new stories. Help me invest that time wisely. Plus, reviews buoy my spirits and stoke the fires of creativity.
Don’t stop now! Keep turning the pages as there’s a little more insight and such from the authors.
This book is a work of fiction.
All of the characters, organizations, and events portrayed in this novel are either products of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously. Sometimes both.

Thank you for reading. If you’ve made it this far, I hope that means you enjoyed the story. Writing the Mystically Engineered series has been a wonderful learning experience for me. I’ve been making up stories and writing them down for most of my life, and it’s all culminated in this project.
The Pirr have surrendered and peace has returned to the galaxy. The Mystics have found an unexpected friend among the enemy and worked through their conflicts. As an avid gamer myself, I enjoyed turning the Mystics into gamers themselves as a way to rebuild their friendships. Many of my own friendships as well as my relationship with my boyfriend were started at the gaming table.
But peace is only temporary, and soon the Mystics will have to face a new threat as more is revealed, including the dragons’ history and their connection to the Wyrms. Coraolis, Dante, Julia, and Jack have more adventures coming in Book 3. I’ve got some exciting developments in store, so I hope you’ll join me for it.
A few months ago I teamed up with Craig Martelle on this series. It was a leap of faith for both of us. He’d only seen my short stories, and this has been my first organized foray into writing novels. I feel very fortunate that he took a chance on me, and I’m glad I put myself forward, or else this never would have happened.

You are still reading! Thank you so much. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Again a monster thank you to Valerie for her work in making this story come to life. We have been working on this project for a few months now and I’m becoming far more friendly with the characters.
I feel like I should buy them a beer or something, or maybe run a roleplaying game for them. I’ve game-mastered a few adventures and played in even more. I prefer game mastering, because I get more into the story. It’s funny. As a player when I should become fully embroiled, I usually feel like I’m on the outside looking in. I see it from a Marine officer’s perspective conducting a tactical battle, planning the strategic support – supplies and support.
Maybe that’s me ruining a good game, but I do enjoy the company of other players. Valerie will be going to GaryCon just like me in a couple weeks. I owe her breakfast (at least one) in the delightful Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I don’t think we’re in any games together, but we’ll be there, doing some glad handing and showing the series flag.
I have signed up for two 77 Worlds games, a Traveller game, a Metamorphosis Alpha game, and a Top Secret game. I’ll mill about and talk to people outside of game time. It will be an exhausting four days, but I won’t miss it for anything.
That’s it for now. I’m off to keep writing and working with my co-authors to bring these incredible stories to you.
Peace, fellow humans.
