I’d failed on this mission to identify the location of the latest nuke but I was certain that we would find it. We had to find it.
Evie
I wasn’t sure how long I’d slept but there was a food tray at the edge of the bed when I awoke that held plastic containers in various sizes. Still, there was no sign of Luke and my rotten, self-inflicted state was still going strong.
I scooted forward lifting the tops off each one, unable to resist the lull of the smell of food, accepting that I was hungry. I opened each container, looking in at its contents. The first was fruit. The second plate held a large salad with vegetables and chicken on top. Then there was yogurt and cranberry juice. It was a healthy meal. I removed the top from some dressing and tasted the ranch flavor, which I mixed in to the salad sparingly. I ate slowly, terrified I would irritate my already unsettled stomach.
Gasping, I realized I looked a hot mess, when I caught my reflection in the mirror across the room. I had tangled brown hair, smeared makeup and mascara, and was in desperate need to wash my face.
I looked around the odd hotel suite again. There was no art along the walls or color—everything was white. The floors were tile but when I placed my feet on them they were warm, not freezing cold as I’d expected. Still, I didn’t make a fuss about the windows. I wasn’t exactly begging for sunlight at the moment, considering the low thumping against my skull.
I don’t think I’d ever been in one this clean before. I ran my finger along the rim of the wall behind the bed, noticing the tip of it came away clean, without any dust on it. The maid service here was superb.
When I finished eating, I moved around the room pressing against the walls and a door clicked. It was the bathroom. I was grateful to have found it so easily. I slipped off the white T-shirt and turned on the shower. When the bathroom steamed up, I slipped under the hot spray and squealed loudly at the sensation that felt like heaven.
I grabbed the plain, unlabeled body wash in the corner and sniffed it, noticing it smelled like Luke. I reached for the fixture and shut off the water, grabbing a warm towel and wrapping myself in it. I plopped down on the toilet, taking a labored breath. Poking into some of the drawers, I found Luke’s things. There were toothbrushes, which were all disposable with the toothpaste already stuck on, and razors. I held a toothbrush in my hand, wiping the steam from the mirror in front of me. I chuckled to myself, feeling relieved that my reflection now looked much better.
There was a stack of the same white T-shirts I was wearing. The pile next to it
was pairs of long pants, still white. I slipped another T-shirt on and grabbed the pants in my hand. Stepping out of the bathroom, I froze in place, noticing Luke sitting on the edge of the bed.
Luke
I startled her.
“I’m sorry,” I said, when I realized I startled Evie.
She gave me a nervous smile, while I took in the T-shirt that belonged to me, which she wore. A pair of my pants were clutched in her hand. I kept my eyes trained on her face, taking in her best attempt to remain cool even though I knew she was anything but. She shifted from side to side, hugging herself. Then she positioned herself casually against the frame of the door, opening her kissable mouth to speak.
Her long hair was still damp from the shower and her face was bare of the makeup. It reminded me of how naturally flawless she was.
“I’m not sure what happened last night, Luke, but I just wanted to apologize.”
I held a hand up, stifling my chuckle. “Evie, you were a perfect young lady, no worries.”
I gestured to the closet with my hand, where her clothes were.
“You are welcome to keep those on but I did bring your things.”
She squinted her eyes. “Oh, thank you. That was very considerate of you.”
“Do you want them?”
“Sure-sure,” she stuttered out.
“Are you going to stand in the doorway all day?”
Her eyes widened. Then she inched slowly towards the closet, where I pointed. She pressed her hand against the seamless door. It clicked and opened slowly, allowing her to peer inside. Evie pulled the bag out onto the floor, unzipping it and then sifted through her things.
“How did you get this stuff? I didn’t take these to Las Vegas with me,” she asked with knotted brows, while she stretched a black lacy pair of panties across the front of her face.
“We packed it, remember, Evie?”
She let out a long sigh. “No, I don’t, I’m sorry. I definitely had way too much to drink last night.”
“Come here, Evie.”
She swallowed hard, while her eyes flitted around the room, landing on everything besides my face. Her apprehension and discomfort was palpable, maybe even amusing. This Evie was drastically different from the bold Evie I spent time with last night. I knew what she needed to relax.
“Come. Here,” I repeated slowly.
She padded across the tile floors, while I took in her bare feet and then allowed my eyes to drift up her toned thighs. When she stepped closer, I could hear her frantic breathing. Then she stopped and stood in front of me. The T-shirt she wore touched just below where her panties would be, if she had any on which I doubted. Slowly, I grabbed her by the hips and pulled her towards me, pressing my face into her middle. I allowed my fingers to grab the hem of the shirt, brushing over her skin. I lifted it to her belly button, looking her over, feeling my tongue gravitating towards her beautiful, bare pussy. I squeezed her ass firmly with both hands, enjoying the absence of the panties I should have left permanently on Earth.
Rubbing my clean-shaven face across the skin on her belly, I dipped down to kiss Evie at the top of her mound. A small squeak escaped her throat and she jerked away. I held her firm, lifting my eyes to her big brown ones. Her hardened nipples brushed against the thin material, that I would be removing soon. I squeezed each one of her breasts firmly, pinching each nipple just a little, watching Evie’s lips part. A small breath left her mouth when I did it but she didn’t stop me. Silently, I knew I was being given the green light to go ahead.
Slowly, I stood taking in how small she was in front of me. Vulnerable.
I palmed her cheek lightly, dipping down to press a soft kiss to her lips, tasting her sweet mouth. She gasped each time my tongue tangled with hers. I registered her panic with unease. I didn’t like it. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into my lap, sitting back down on the bed, caressing the inside of her thighs.
“Do you want me to stop?” I asked.
I tried my best to hide my smile, when Evie shook her head vigorously.
“Luke, what hotel are we in?”
“You’re in my home, Evie. We aren’t in a hotel.”
She let out a small laugh. “I thought you weren’t from Vegas,” she whispered into my mouth when I kissed her again.
“I’m not,” I said. “I told you, remember.”
Her body became as stiff as the cock in the uniform jumpsuit I was wearing.
Luke
“Evie?” I asked, nudging her out of deep thought.
Confusion and fear painted her perfect features. I kissed her, trailing them down the skin on her shoulder, hoping they would soothe her worry.
“Luke.” Her voice barely registered. It was so low. “Where exactly is home?”
I kissed her lips softly again. Even in her unease, she still didn’t stop me.
“Evie, you’re in the Sigma Arcturus galaxy on the SS Everest,” I whispered, letting my warm breath ghost the shell of her ear.
She forced a laugh. She had a funny way of thinking every truth I told her was a joke. Slowly, I removed her shirt, kissing her harder, consuming her mouth with my own.
“Evie, relax.”
I wanted her to concentrate on our bodies, not where she was. I searched her mouth with my tongue, sinking into the feeling of her kissing me back. When she stiffened again, I stopped. I had to finish a debrief in an hour, so regrettably I knew I only had a few minu
tes with her before needing to leave again.
“Evie,” I said taking in her watery eyes and trembling top lip.
She was going into shock.
Evie
It was hard to ignore the intense feeling that was building between my legs, but my brain wasn’t registering what Luke had just told me...not at first. Slowly, his words began to sink into my cloudy brain. Luke was so relaxed when he explained. Maybe I was overreacting that something was wrong. Maybe nothing was wrong? Was I in outer space?
It wasn’t possible anyways, or was it? My feet were planted firmly on the ground. There seemed to be gravity aboard this spacecraft if that’s what this place was. This was a joke. This was a sick joke. I was being Punk’d. The cameraman and crew would jump out of the closet at any point now.
Luke’s warm hands brushed over my skin. I still melted at his touch, while I processed the information he’d told me. My brain couldn’t keep up with the responses my body was getting. The two were out of sync. I took in the room again, noticing that it was different from any room I’d ever been in. The surroundings only made me even more unsure of what to believe. I couldn’t breathe. I felt like my heart was going to stop. I was having a panic attack. I’m on drugs—that’s it. Someone had slipped me a Micky or some ecstasy. This couldn’t be real.
The Sigma Arcturus galaxy? What the fuck was that. Where was I? This had to be some trippy dream that I would wake up from. None of this was real. None. Of. This. Was. Real.
In the distance, I thought I heard Luke speak. Evie, I think he said. I shifted to stare into his grassy-green eyes, taking in his beauty that always seemed almost inhuman, wondering if maybe now it was all explained.
“Is it true?” I rasped out.
Luke tipped his head forward a few times, holding my gaze.
“Just relax, Evie. I can explain it all later,” he said pressing his lips into my bare shoulder.
A sharp prick on the skin of my outer thigh caused me to wince. I met Luke’s eyes again, while he kept an expressionless focus on me. Slowly, my vision went hazy. Then, I was out.
Luke
Evie wasn’t coping well, as I’d expected. She seemed to be in the midst of some sort of panic attack. It was as if her breathing stopped for a short moment. Her brown eyes widened and panic registered in her features at the realization that she was no longer on Earth. I knew I would likely have to sedate her.
Evie’s fingers held on tightly to the fabric of my shirt, while she gazed into my eyes, bewildered. I wanted to fuck her but I knew it wasn’t happening at this moment. I nuzzled my face in the strands of Evie’s long hair, inhaling the intoxicating scent of her skin. Even frightened, Evie was breathtaking. Her pouty lips parted, while she took little breaths. I attempted to soothe her by caressing her bare skin and then lingered on the tender flesh at the inside of her thighs, desperately wanted to nestle my weight in between them and never leave.
This perfect woman wanted me but I couldn’t distract her enough so that her focus was solely on me and in this moment. Pressing my face against her breasts and then lingering at the center of her chest, the pounding of her heart registered loud and clear in my ears. I thought it would beat right out of her chest, if I didn’t do something soon.
I cringed at the thought that I’d upset her but I had no choice. There was no way I was leaving Earth without her. I just had to find a way to explain that would make it all better.
I called Evie’s name softly and then louder again. Still, she didn’t respond to my voice. Slipping the needle out of the pocket of my pants, I concealed it in my hands looking Evie over as she straddled me, hesitating to use it. I didn’t want Evie asleep, I wanted her awake.
Evie’s lips parted but silence only filled the air. It was as if her brain was attempting to put sentences together that simply wouldn’t leave her mouth. I pricked her skin softly with the needle which contained a mild sedative. I held Evie’s head in the palm of my hand and watched her beautiful eyes close. Her body relaxed, while she rested against my shoulder.
I would explain it all when Evie woke up. Hopefully, she would understand that I didn’t have a choice. I feared she would hate me. Maybe she would run. I took a long breath of air and laughed at my own nonsensical thoughts. There was nowhere to run.
Evie
I awoke feeling disoriented, finding myself in bed again wearing a T-shirt and annoyed. I squinted my eyes, wondering what the time could be. Did time even exist here?
I shifted again, feeling the warm body next to mine that was Luke. He was sprawled out next to me looking relaxed as ever with his eyes shut. I scooted closer to him, taking him in. I grazed my nose against his arm, inhaling the same scent on him that was left on all the notes he’d written me. Pulling the sheets away a little, I looked him over, taking in the sight of the white boxer briefs he wore. He was still hot, undressed even more so. I knew a chiseled body was likely under those expensive suits he wore. My eyes roved over his muscular chest and his carved abs and then down to his toned thighs and calves. A tattoo of a scepter inked his left shoulder, which seemed to be the only marking on him. His chest was bare of hair, with it only dusting his legs and forearms. This man was beautiful, perfect. Certainly, not a man I would have ever imagined myself lying next to.
Get it together, Evie. I needed to focus on the events that had unfolded and the information that he’d told me before I passed out, for what I think was the third time today.
I sat up straighter in bed, gazing ahead out of the panoramic, floor-to-ceiling window ahead that was now left to provide a view. I almost gasped, but in my stupor, I was even unable to do that. I stood shakily, placing my bare feet on the warm tile beneath me, unable to tear my eyes away from the surreal sight ahead of me. It was incredible. I edged closer to the window, step by step. This couldn’t be, I told myself.
I placed my hands on the glass, terrified I would fall through it.
The sky was black outside with bright colors that illuminated the distance ahead. Stars burned blue, red, and pink. Globes of various colors larger than Earth floated ahead, suspended in midair. It was true. Unless I was dead, it had to be true.
Pressing my forehead against the cool glass, I took a frantic breath. Everything in front of me was stationary. Nothing was moving. Whatever I was on, it had stopped moving.
“Don’t be upset with me, Evie, please. I didn’t have a choice,” he whispered, suddenly appearing behind me.
I spun around, still open-mouthed taking in his incredible body in the upright position he now stood in, while he stepped towards me cautiously. I peered out the window again and then shifted my gaze to Luke. Then back to the window again, speechless. This was real. I was in the Sigma Arcturus galaxy.
Luke hadn’t lied to me. He never lied to me. Luke had been telling me the truth all along.
Luke
I watched Evie, while she stood to the window in awe of the sight ahead. She pressed her hands to the glass and then her forehead followed. I was relieved that she hadn’t started screaming. I didn’t want to have to sedate her again.
Evie’s long bare legs kept my focus. It wasn’t the right moment but I wanted to slip my hands up between her thighs and caress her soft skin. I moved towards her cautiously and spoke. She spun around, taking me in while her focus bounced between me and the sight out of the window ahead. I wanted to take away whatever panic she was feeling, so I reached out and caressed her shoulder.
“Luke,” Evie whispered. “I-I am somewhere else?” she stuttered out.
“Yes.”
I pulled Evie against my chest, enjoying the warmth of her. I was certain she could feel my straining cock against her bare ass. Evie’s hands splayed out in front of her in front of the glass. She let out a deep breath, watching the glass fog in front of her.
Needing to distract her, I rained kisses along her shoulder. Evie’s lips parted, when I slipped my hand between her legs and into her soft folds. Evie jerked forward, still focused on the sight ahea
d but she didn’t stop me. She was soaking wet, which only made me hungrier for her. I slipped a finger into her wet pussy, feeling her slickness. Evie arched her back, pushing her ass against my cock that already felt like it was about to explode.
“Luke.” Her eyes were shut. “I don’t understand. I don’t understand any of this.”
I wanted to slip my cock inside of her and fuck her until she stopped trying to understand. I’d waited so long to get her here. I moved my fingers in and out of her clenching flesh, brushing my fingers up against her clit each time, until Evie was making sweet moans and whimpers. I pressed her firmly against the glass, feeling myself losing control. I nudged her to turn around, pushing her against the glass. Dipping down, I took a nipple in between my lips, treating the hardened buds to the wet attention of my tongue. Evie writhed and whimpered each time I touched her flesh.
Evie’s hands snaked around my neck. I brushed my lips against hers, sucking her top lip into my mouth slowly, appreciating her soft breaths against my mouth. I knew I’d taken her away from the life she knew but I couldn’t bear to have left her behind.
“I couldn’t leave you, Evie. Please understand.”
“Fuck me, Luke,” she said breathlessly. “Please,” she begged.
They were the only words I needed to hear.
Luke
I savored the taste of Evie’s mouth, nudging her gently back towards the bed. We stood at the end of it, while I removed the T-shirt she was wearing slowly. Patches of precum soaked the front of my pants, while my cock strained painfully against the material. It needed to be inside Evie soon, or I was going to fucking explode. I couldn’t wait another minute to be skin to skin with her, making love to her.
I knelt at the edge of the bed and eased Evie down in front of it. She looked tired but still effortlessly beautiful. Her pouty lips had darkened and her brown eyes were glazed over, confirming that she wanted this as badly as I did. I took in the delicious curves of her body, while she licked her lips focusing on my straining cock. She sat forward, slipping her hands into the waist of my boxer briefs, looking at me with large eyes. Slowly, she slid them down, allowing my hard cock to bounce out in front of her. Evie tasted her own lips again, running her hands up my thighs. When she took it in her hand I stopped her, wanting to do something for her before I allowed her to do that.
