Confessions of a Pirate Ghost (Gambling Ghosts Series Book 3)

A dead silence hit the room.
“And?”
“I do believe you and I will be hosting a wedding here, in the not-so-distant future.”
***
At the next full moon, Harley and Killion said their goodbyes to the teahouse and it’s lively, dead inhabitants. They left the gambling room and headed into the main reception area.
Three Sheets knew he had to let them go. They made a good couple. The high color that never left Harley’s cheeks told him her secret was no longer true, and it warmed his ghostly heart to see them together. He knew true love when he saw it.
“You’ll like the Caribbean,” he said to Harley, “but I’ll miss you.”
“Visit,” said Killion. “There’s never too many pirates in the Caribbean.”
“A generous offer, son, but you two need time together.”
A tear rolled down Harley’s cheek. “I can’t thank you enough. I wish I could at least hug you for saving my life.”
“Aye, I would like that, but having you in the family, so to speak, is reward enough for me. You can hug him.” He pointed at Killion.
Killion didn’t flinch when Three Sheets said the word family. Most bachelors blanch at such a comment. Harley could feel her cheeks burning. “Make sure you visit,” she said. “You are always welcome on our boat.”
“I have a going-away present for both of you.”
Harley looked at Killion.
“No gramps, I found my own treasure.”
“Aye, you did. You have the greatest treasure of all. But I wanted to give you a painting.” He teleported an oil canvas that had been leaning against the wall through the air.
Harley caught it. “Oh my goodness. It’s gorgeous.” Sort of. Actually, the colors were lacking depth and … well it was rather ugly. But that didn’t matter. She held it up to show Killion and as she did so, noticed a notation had been scribbled on the back. “GPS coordinates!”
She turned to thank Three Sheets, but he had vanished.
A Note from Jo-Ann
Dear Readers,
Every time a reader leaves a review an aspiring writer gets a new pencil or two.
It may sound like a cheesy-line, but it’s true. Reviews help readers find books. Please, take a few minutes and write a review. Don’t be intimidated by the task. I’m not asking for a book report, just a review. All you need to do is string a few words together. If you’re stuck, I’ll give you some examples: 1) I loved Confessions of a Pirate Ghost and can’t wait to read Jo-Ann Carson’s next book. Or 2) Confessions of a Pirate Ghost made me laugh and cry. It’s a witty mix of fantasy, adventure and romance. I enjoyed it. 3) Sexy pirates, intrigue and romance. A short, fun read. The best place to post my reviews is on Amazon. The next best is Goodreads. I’d love both. Word of mouth and written reviews are pure gold for budding writers, like me.
You can learn about my latest publications from my newsletter (sign up here). Want to connect? My home on the Internet is my Website, which contains all my social media links.
To send me a personal note, you can email me at connect@jo-anncarson.com. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the story.
On the next few pages you’ll find information about the other books.
Thank you for reading my story.
