“Mmhmm.” I say crossing my arms.
“What?” Heifer has the nerve to look innocent like I don’t know that there is something she hasn’t told me.
“Spill, bitch. What happened last night?” She turns her back to me, but not before I see her chest turn a crimson shade of red.
“Nothing.”
“Nothing? You expect me to believe that? The heat emitting from the two of you is hot enough to set the Sahara on fire girl. Something happened. Why won’t you tell me?” I can see something is sitting on her and when she gets like that, she gets skittish and starts crying. Fuck! What did that asshole do?
“It-it’s not that I don’t want to tell you, Lexi. I do. I just...I’m not sure yet myself what happened. I haven’t had a chance to process everything yet. I swear though, when I do, you will be the first one I tell. You are my best friend. I would never keep something this important from you. Right now, though, I just want to focus on your big day. Ok?” I can tell she needs me to let this go right now and the truth is, if he did something that is going to piss me off, I'd rather not know about right before I marry his brother. But this is not over. By a long shot.
Knock. Knock.
“Come in.” The wedding coordinator, Saxson’s mom, another lady and Julissa all walk back into the room.
“It’s time to put your dress on, Lexi.” Oh God. It’s time. Why do I suddenly feel sick?

“Oh my gosh. I am so happy to meet you, Lexi. When my aunt called me the other day and said that Saxson was getting married, I knew I had to be here. I never thought I would see the day.” I look at her like she is crazy. She is literally bouncing up and down, holding my hands and I still have no idea who the hell she is.
“I’m sorry, you are?”
“Oh my gosh. You must think I’m nuts. My husband says it's the pregnancy hormones. I’m Connie Lee. Saxson is my first cousin.” My eyebrows scrunch up as I try to figure out the last name ‘Lee.’ She must read it because she giggles and clarifies. “My husband is Josh Lee. My surname is Maldonado. Actually, my three-year-old, Mary Katherine is your flower girl. We call her MK.” Oh yeah I forgot he told me about that last night.
“Ah makes sense. Well it is nice to meet you, Connie.” Walking toward the coordinator, I remove my robe to get ready to put on my dress. When she unzips the garment bag, my breath catches. I mean I know I picked it out, but fuck, it’s even more beautiful now with the slight alterations. “Oh my gosh!” I exclaim trying to once again hold back the tears.
“Lexi, I can’t get over how gorgeous it is.” Lara says her hand to her mouth. Carefully everyone in the room grabs a piece of it or me and begin trying to get it on me without messing up my hair or getting my makeup on it. I can’t help but feel important right now with so many people working on this situation. Finally, after what feels like forever, it is pulled down and in front of the mirror, I finally see the truth. I was born to wear this gown. I barely recognize myself. Especially with my hair up on top of my head, like a halo, accompanied by a crown, with green emeralds in it.
I tried on probably ten gowns before I finally came to this one. It is a mixture between a Spanish bridal gown and a mermaid gown. The top comes up like a sleeveless design, but then it becomes a sheer sort of applique design from the cleavage up through the shoulders and down the sleeves still giving the sheer illusion. The back, which if I am honest is the reason, I picked it, reminds me of the back of Bella Swan's dress in Twilight Breaking Dawn part one. I remember when Lara and I went to see the movie. We were both in awe at how regal she looked in that dress. I knew then that my wedding dress would be something like it. Turning, I look at the ladies in the room.
“Oh my!! Absolutely stunning, new sister.” Julissa says dabbing her eyes with a tissue.
“Thank you.” Everyone comes up to me to hug me and before I know it, Saxson’s dad is knocking at the door.
“It’s time new daughter. Are you ready?” I take a deep breath and nod my head.
“Yes. I’m ready.” Lara grabs her bouquet and hands me mine. Everyone else in the room walks out to take their seats and the three of us make our way to the entrance. Right before she goes out, Lara turns to me and says, “I am so happy for you. To find your soulmate so young, you’re lucky, bestie. Be happy.” She kisses me on the cheek and walks out as the music starts. Holding Saxson’s dad's arm, I can feel myself becoming a bit dizzy as the nerves begin to overtake me. Saxson’s dad, I am sure feeling the shaking, turns to me, grabs both my hands and stares me in the eyes.
“My son was raised to know that when he takes this step, it is for life. If you are faithful and loyal to him, he will propel you above all others. Including me and his mother. Be happy my child. You are walking toward your forever.” Words simply fail me. The tears begin to fall, and I can do nothing to stop them. I simply wrap my arms around his neck and hug him. I hug him like a girl hugging her father at her wedding. It feels nice. Especially since he is hugging me back. He removes his handkerchief from his jacket, once I step back and hands it to me.
“Wipe your face, daughter. Let’s go make you officially a Maldonado.” Right as he says it, Dan and Shay’s ‘Speechless’ begins to play and I walk down the aisle to my forever.

I am standing at the altar when Ramone’s phone rings. He turns to me. “It’s Roscoe. Do you want me to answer it?” He quirks his eyebrow up like he is daring me.
“Yes. It might be about the report. I don’t have my phone on me.” Immediately, I know I am right by the expression on his face. He finishes the call and turns to me.
“Roscoe says that he found out you were right. Her dad sold her to Ransom’s son in exchange for a hand in his empire. Apparently, she was to begin working in his club right after they wed. They realize she is gone now.” He stops talking and I can see him contemplating whatever else he needs to say.
“Spit it out Ramone. I don’t have all day.” He knows how much I hate puttering.
“They have been asking around. Seems officer Jacobson didn’t understand your last warning about snitches. He told them you had been asking about the families as well. Roscoe is not sure if they know where she is right now, but they at least have an idea of who she is with.” He says the last part with disgust. No doubt thinking of all the ways we can send a message to Jacobson. I have just the thing.
“Call Roscoe back and tell him I am thinking a bonfire is in order.” I don’t need to say anything else. He walks away to make that call. I look at my watch, my patience wearing thin.
“Brother.” Julio pats me on the back.
“Julio. So good of you to make it.” I can’t seem to keep the sarcasm at bay. Little shit was supposed to be here last night to join the family dinner and meet Lexi.
“I’m sorry. There were some ...complications with a case I am working on. Couldn’t leave until said complication was contained until I returned.” Figures it was a woman.
“How old is she?” I ask.
“Seventeen.” He groans. Ah. So, he can’t do anything about it yet. I understand his frustration now.
“Sorry little brother. Listen, I hope you get it figured out soon. And hey, thank you for coming.” I hug him letting him know I am serious. I am about to tell him what is going on when I see Ramone walk back out, with a nod of his head letting me know the order has been given. Suddenly, the music changes and I see my cousin Connie’s daughter walking down the aisle, spreading her flowers, and I know it’s time. Shaking my hands out to relieve the tension, I walk back over to the altar to wait for my bride.
Lara walks out a few minutes behind MK, and behind me I hear Ramone curse. I shake my head, laughing at him. He should just take her and be done with it. Why he insists on torturing himself is beyond me. I look back up as Lexi begins to walk out and the song is correct. Speechless is the only thing I can say. She looks, beyond exquisite. As she glides down the aisle to me, on the arm of my f
ather, I swear she is glowing. Everything in her vicinity is illuminated. She looks like a fucking angel. Jesus. I am barely able to contain myself. I can feel my emotions bubbling to the surface as I try to wrap my head around the fact that this beautiful, smart, sassy, incredibly sexy woman, is going to be my wife. I find myself wiping my eyes as they become moist. I don’t care who knows either, but damn it, I am beyond humbled. She and my father reach the altar and he grabs her hand, placing it in mine and looks me in my face and says, “Son, she is now my daughter and I am giving her to you, with the confidence that you are going to treat her as your everything. There should no other, more important than her and your children. Can I trust you with her heart?” I turn my head to her, looking her in her eyes that are filled with tears, so she herself can see the truth in my answer.
“You can trust me papa. I will put her before all others.” he kisses our joined hands and walks away. Putting my hand on her cheek, I wipe her tears. “You look ethereal, my love.” She bends her head, hiding the blush. I find it so refreshing that after all we have done over the past almost 48 hours, she can still find something to blush about.
“Thank you. You look very dapper yourself,” she says. I smile at her before we turn to the pastor and make this official.
“Family and friends. We are gathered here today to witness the union of Saxson and Alexis. I have been instructed to skip the objections part. They have each written their own vows. Alexis. You first.”
“Saxson. When I pictured my life, I always saw it in black and white snapshots of things I could have. It wasn’t until I first met you, that I began to see the future in color. You are showing me, that nothing is absolute except you and I and what we will have. Thank you for choosing me and loving me even though I can be ...difficult.” She says, as laughter ensues because everyone here is privy to her age. “I love you Saxson. Far more than I ever knew I could love anyone because I didn't know what real love was until I met you.” She wipes her face as the tears continue to fall. Hell, who am I kidding. My face is wet too.
“Saxson. If you will.” The pastor instructs.
“Alexis. You appeared in my life out of nowhere like a star in a blurry sky. Shiny and bright and full of life. I didn’t know I was living in darkness until you illuminated everything around you. Including me. Thank you for loving me, even knowing what you know and choosing this life. Our life. I will love, protect, cherish and honor you, every day of our lives. I love you.” I turn to look at our guests and literally everyone is wiping their eyes. When I turn back to my bride, she is beaming, glowing really and I want that for her every day. Before I know it, we have exchanged rings and the pastor is pronouncing us man and wife. When I grab her face and kiss her, I swear I feel her whole life force flowing through mine. Wow! Is this what they mean when they say you become one?
“May I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Maldonado.” We kiss one more time, forgetting there are other people in the room. I swear if it wasn't for the whistling I heard from the guests, I would have ripped that dress right off of her. We turn and make our way back down the aisle together. I am not sure what is next, but Lexi is on a mission. She practically drags me to the inside of the house, to our bedroom. The door is barely shut before she is ripping off my jacket and tie.
“Take it off Saxson. You looked so good standing up there swearing to be a good husband. My pussy began to drizzle. See.” She put her hands under her dress and wipes her fingers across my face. I grab her hand and suck those fingers into my mouth.
“You want to play with me brat? You plan on keeping this dress?” I ask her before I rip it beyond repair.
“I was going to save it for our daughter.”
“No need. She is never getting married.”
Riiip.
I split her dress down the middle and damn near jizz all over myself. She is covered in white lace from tits to pussy. Like a fucking dirty angel. I take a step back, intent on removing my clothes as I admire the gift I have been given. She pushes me against the dresser and shakes her head.
“Not so fast husband.” My cock hardens and straightens more hearing her use those words. Words I never intended to make a reality until the moment I met her. “I have to change into my outfit for the reception. I didn’t get my morning suck, Sexson. I missed having the taste of you in my mouth.” God, I love my dirty little wife. She falls to her knees in front of me, unzips my pants, and pulls my cock out. Fisting it, she begins to rub it up and down, rubbing it against her face, her tongue swiping it as she jerks it back and forth.
“Fuck wife. Stick it in your dirty mouth.” I grunt, trying to let her stay in control. She opens her mouth and sucks my cock into it, taking her time. Her tongue playing with the hole as she moans. “Shh...shit baby. Feels so good.” It is taking everything I have not to put my hands in her hair and mess it up. Gripping the dresser as I close my eyes and pray for control. She pulls her head back, winks at me and shoves her mouth over my whole shaft sending it to the back of her throat. I begin blowing air through my nose, my control slipping, my upper lip sweaty and covered in my spit as I lick my lips over and over. “Fuck baby. Ah shit Lexi. I think you should stop before I lose it.” Her eyes smile at me as she takes a nip out of my sensitive spot. She moans as she pushes it further into her throat and I crack. My hands cradle her head and I lose myself in the feeling her throat, snuggly, squeezing my cock as she swallows around it, gagging, with her saliva falling out of her mouth. Her hair, no longer together, falling like gold dust around her face.
“Damn baby. I tried to hang on, but you fucking knew what you were doing. Didn’t you, brat?” I say pistoning in and out of her warm mouth. She nods her head, her face wet and red from the gagging. Her hand slides down between her legs and this is the first time I notice her panties are crotchless. Her hands move back and forth, stroking her pussy as my brutal force, continues to beat her tonsils. Her thighs begin to glisten as she continues to drip for me and before I can stop myself, I shoot into her mouth, cursing and shaking as I empty myself in her stomach. She keens, snot running down her face as she too shakes. Slumping against the dresser, I remove my handkerchief, from my pocket, grab her hands and lift her off the floor. Wiping her face, I pull her to me, and kiss her.
“Thank you, baby. I love you.” I say kissing her over and over. My mouth, leisurely taking hers and showing her what my heart won’t always let me say.
“I love you too Saxson.” She snuggles into me for a few minutes as we sit there together. Finally, after a couple of minutes, she moves. “I have to change clothes. Your dad thought you would want to switch into some slacks and a shirt. It's in the other closet on the left.” I open the closet and sure enough, a pair of black slacks and a black shirt. I put my shoes back on and turn around. Standing before me, is my wife. My woman. The one who, at this very moment, is probably baking my kid in her tummy, even though I am aware it is too soon to tell.
She is, to put it mildly, regal. She is standing before me, in red and white and all I can do is thank God, once again for letting me see her first. Holding my hand out, I bring hers to my mouth. “You ready to go, Mrs. Maldonado?”
“Yes, babe. Let’s go greet our guests.” Walking out to the reception, hand in hand, I feel more aware now, than ever, that I have so much to lose as my mind momentarily, goes back to the conversation I had with Ramone earlier. Let them come. Every. Single. Dead one of them.

When I chose this dress in the shop, I thought it was beautiful. I loved it because it was different and sexy, but most of all it was me. I didn’t even bother trying it on. I simply, knew. But right now, staring at myself in the mirror, I am speechless. I never in a million years thought I would look this sophisticated. This adult and elegant. Especially not in a partially red dress. Well, to be fair, the floral lace crop top is all red. The bottom of it, starts out white and fades into red roses at the bottom. It is sassy to say the least. So, when I turn around and see the lust-filled
gaze in Saxson’s eyes, I know I look good. When he kisses my hand and calls me Mrs. Maldonado, some sort of calm comes over me. It’s like being in a tunnel filled with chamomile smog.
We make it out onto the beach, and everyone turns and claps for us. We stand and greet everyone as they each come up and give us hugs, kisses, gifts, and well wishes. In-between the people we greet, I find myself looking for Lara. Where the hell is that girl always disappearing too. “Lexi, I would like for you to meet my little brother Julio. He couldn’t make it last night because he was still working a case.”
Julio leans in to kiss my cheek. “It’s wonderful to meet you little sis. I am glad my big bro finally found someone who can handle all his...grumpiness,” he says with a chuckle. I cover my mouth trying to hide the giggle, but I know I am failing. Saxson is most definitely a bit grumpy. Though, the more time I spend with him, I feel like it is simply that he is so adult and serious. Which is why I am making it my mission to mix him up a bit.
“It’s so nice to meet you as well, Julio. Are you here with anyone?” I ask looking around for his date.
“No. I am not. I’m single. Right now, anyway.” He mumbles the last part. I am about to ask how long he is staying here when Lara walks up.
“Julio, this is my best friend Lara. Lara this is Sax’s other brother Julio.” They shake hands and I note that he doesn’t let go right away. She begins to blush, and I have the best, worst, devious idea ever. “Say, Lara, Julio is here alone. I am sure he would like to get some time in on the dance floor. Why don’t you two go and have some fun.” I say, quirking my eyebrow up at her. She tilts her head to the side giving me the ‘what the hell’ look, before turning to smile at Julio.
