Paper Kisses Page 10

“Fuck me, Sky!” she cried out. “So good, so good. Yes, harder. Play with my pussy!”

“Seeing my cock up your ass is so beautiful,” he ground out. Sweat was dripping off both their bodies and she knew she wasn’t going to last much longer, not when his fingers were fucking her in time with his dick.

“I’m going to come,” she gasped just before her orgasm ripped through her. She felt herself gush again but this time she didn’t care. This was so hot, so intense, and it just kept going on and on.

“Alannah!” Sky moaned just as she felt him swell in her ass. He buried himself deep just as he poured himself into the latex barrier. Jet after jet he jerked. She didn’t know a man could come so much but finally he collapsed on top of her. Her legs were jelly and she fell forward, onto her stomach.

It took a few minutes for them to get their breaths back but once he did, Sky moved off her and undid her handcuffs. Then he untied her blindfold and pulled her into his arms. She lay on his chest, staring at the far wall, in complete shock that she’d loved what just happened so much. Sky had been right. It all depended on the partner. If sex had been like this with her ex she never would’ve turned to her vibrator.

The reminder that she was leaving day after tomorrow made her really sad. How could she possibly give this up? Was it just good sex or was it the chemistry between her and Sky, because whenever she was with him she felt like she could breathe easier. It had always been like that with him. It was one of the reasons why she could always talk to him.

  “What’re you thinking?” he asked.

“That I’m going to miss this,” she answered. “I’ve never felt so close to anyone and I have a feeling I’ll never find this again.”

“What’s between us is so good, Alannah. Better than my fantasies ever were. I wish you’d trust in me.”

She wished she could trust in herself.

  Chapter Ten

“Don’t you have to go to work?” Alannah murmured as the day’s early dawn light began to trickle into the room. She and Sky lay on their sides, not touching, but staring at each other.

“Yes,” he said. “But I can be late. There are privileges for being boss.”

They’d woken up almost simultaneously by some deep sense that kept them connected and in tune with each other. It felt weird but nice.

  “You work every day?”

“Yes. I’m the sheriff. But that doesn’t mean I don’t get time off when or if I need it.”

  “Is your job dangerous?”

“In Dexter? Most of the time I’m dealing with drunk drivers and underage drinking. There’ve been a few robberies, home invasions. Fights. Petty drugs. Shit like that.”

“Shit like that can still hurt you.”

“You’re right. But I did go to the law enforcement academy, so I know how to handle myself.”

  “You did? After Mizzou?”

“Yep. You can’t be a cop without the accreditation.”

“Yeah. I remember CeeCee saying something like that.”

  “You went to design school.”

It wasn’t a question, but Alannah answered it like it was. “Yes.”

  “You met your ex there.”

Again, it wasn’t a question. But she wanted to explain it to him. “Yes. When I met him I thought, there’s a man not anything like my father. He was slick. He was polished. He had ambition. Looking back, now, I can tell myself that at that time in my life, in that mental state, he was what I needed.”

“It almost killed me when I found out you were getting married,” he told her quietly. “The day of your wedding was the day I got into the accident.”

Oh, wow. Talk about fucking karma. “What was her name?”

He knew the person she was talking about. “Caroline.”

  “That’s beautiful.”

  “She was a beautiful woman.”

“Do you have this type of relationship with Linda?”

One eyebrow quirked up. “Do you mean do I tie her up? No. I’ve never revealed my kink to anyone. Besides Caroline, of course. And now you.”

  That surprised her. “Why me?”

He didn’t answer her right away. He just gazed into her eyes and she could see he was trying to put the words together. “When Caroline would tie me up everything melted away.”

“Yes!” she exclaimed. “That’s exactly right. It’s euphoric.”

“Yes. It’s also euphoric to be the person tying someone up.”

“But you said you don’t do that to your lovers.”

“Once a month I drive to St. Louis to a club I joined. I teach a class.”

  “You teach a class?”

“Yes. I’d love to take you with me as my assistant.”

  “Doing that shi thing.”

  He smiled. “Shibari. Yes.”

This man lying in front of her was so different from the young man she’d known in high school. Sky back then was brash, rash, and prone to fights. He didn’t hesitate to take a dare or do something impulsive. She remembered he’d once stripped down to his boxers and jumped from a bridge into a body of water known for the snakes.

“What’s on your mind?” he asked.

“I just can’t believe I’m lying here like this, with you. My best friend.”

“I would’ve been right there all along had you just said the word.”

“I never wanted to ruin our friendship,” she admitted. “And besides, you needed to meet Caroline, just as I needed to meet Bryce. They changed our lives, made us better.”

  “He made you better?”

She didn’t miss the frost in his question. “Yes,” she answered firmly. “Sky, I had such a clear notion of what I thought I wanted and who I thought I wanted to be that nothing could have swayed me. If we’d gotten together twelve years ago, it would’ve been a disaster because we were both immature back then. We needed to grow and find out the type of people we were meant to be.”

“I still don’t like that you think he made you better.”

“Let me rephrase. He didn’t make me better but the circumstances did.”

She saw that he was thinking about that, and then he spoke. “Okay. I get that. It doesn’t take the sting out of knowing you married another man.”

“Whom was I supposed to marry?”

“Me,” he answered and that took all the wind out of her sails. “There’s a connection between us that pulls us together. It always has. You must feel it.”

“Yes,” she whispered. “But I still have that fear. What if we fail? What if all this collapses upon us?”

“What we have is good, Alannah.”

  “I’m not saying it isn’t.”

“Then what? I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what you need to hear from me. All I know is that I don’t want to let you go.”

“I’m afraid you’ll walk away from me.”

“Don’t you think you have that backwards?” he asked, a bit waspish. “You left me.”

She sighed. She deserved that, she supposed. But it was time to put that behind her. “I deserved that. I’m sorry. Forgive me?”

“Of course,” he replied immediately, and the irritation left his voice. “I forgave you the day you roared back into town.”

“I’m sorry I hurt you, Sky,” she whispered.

“You were right,” he murmured. “We needed to become the people we are now.”

  She smiled at him.

“What are you going to do today while I’m at work?”

“Hang out with CeeCee. I think Kevin’s working today.”

“Have dinner with me tonight? I have one more night to convince you not to go.”

“Okay.” She was looking forward to his convincing.

“You need to put your hand there,” CeeCee told her sternly.

“I can’t put my hand there. It’s inhumanly impossible to put my hand there,” Alannah argued back, a bit exasperated.

“You were able to put your hand ther
e back in high school.”

“I was a little more limber in high school.”

  “Touch it!”

“I can’t!” Alannah cried and promptly collapsed. CeeCee fell on top of her and the game ended.

“You were so much better at Twister twelve years ago,” CeeCee huffed.

“I was skinny back then,” Alannah muttered. “Get off me.”

She pushed at CeeCee’s dead weight and then rolled from under her. They both lay on their backs, panting slightly.

“I feel like I’ve just gone through an intense hour of Jazzercise.”

“I know,” CeeCee said. “I think my back cracked about ten times doing those positions. Twister was a lot more fun when we were teenagers.”

“It was a lot easier, that’s for damn sure,” Alannah replied. “Now I see the sexual foreplay this game hints at.”

CeeCee started laughing and after a moment, Alannah joined in. Pooch came rushing in trying to lick their faces. Soon they were rolling on the floor laughing so hard tears were coming out of their eyes. This was the scene Kevin found them in when he walked in not five minutes later.

“Are you two high?” he asked, setting off another round of giggles. “Because you could’ve waited for me.”

“Not high,” CeeCee said between bouts of laughing. “Our girl is dating the sheriff. It wouldn’t be cool to send her back to him after engaging in illegal activity.”

“Pfft,” Kevin snorted, waving away what she said. “Let me tell you some stories about that dude…”

“And let’s not,” Sky said, interrupting him. He held two six packs of beer in his arms. He still wore his horrible brown uniform and seeing him in uniform made her pussy go slick with excitement.

“You off work?” she asked him, pushing herself into a sitting position.

“Just about,” he told her, smiling softly at her. He thrust the beer at Kevin and squatted next to her to kiss her on the mouth. “I’m going to go home and take a shower. You want to go with me or do you want me to pick you up here?”

“If I go back to your place then we won’t make our dinner reservation, will we?”

  “Probably not.”

“How about I meet you there?”

“Okay. Seven o’clock, the steak house out on Highway Sixty.”

  “Okay.”

He kissed her again, adding some tongue, and she just about combusted. For a moment, everything around her faded except the talented tongue invading her mouth, wreaking exquisite pleasure on her senses.

And then a throat cleared and Sky lifted his head. He brushed her nose with his, winked and then sauntered out the door. What the heck just happened? Had he just magically appeared out of thin air or had he really been there?

“How can you possibly think about leaving now?” CeeCee asked her.

“Was he just here or was that a figment of my imagination?”

“He was here,” Kevin assured her, twisting off the lid on a beer bottle. “That was slightly uncomfortable to watch. I saw his tongue.”

  “So?” CeeCee asked, perplexed.

“It kinda turned me on,” Kevin said with a grimace.

CeeCee stared at him for a long moment. “Oh, that raises a lot of possibilities.”

He waggled his eyebrows at her.

Alannah didn’t know why she was nervous about a date with Sky. She’d done the most amazingly wicked things with the man in bed and here she was, fully clothed, feeling a little shy.

She took a deep breath, smoothed down her one and only little black dress, and lifted her chin. Growing up, the steak house had been the one fancy place to take dates and the place was usually booked for homecoming and prom. She hadn’t gone to either because she never had a date so this would be her first time actually eating in the restaurant.

Huh. Didn’t look as fancy as she thought it would. The tables were plain old rectangles with red and white, checkered vinyl tablecloths that would’ve been more suited for an Italian atmosphere. The chairs were plain old metal with leather seats. The carpet looked to be maroon, but was old and worn so it was hard to tell if that was the real color or dirt accrued over thirty years.

“Hello,” greeted the very young hostess. When she smiled she had braces. “Just one?”

“I’m meeting Sheriff Randall,” she told the girl.

“Oh yes,” she said. “Follow me.”

The girl led her toward the back, into the dimly lit intimate portion of the dinning room. When Sky saw her, he stood up, and oh la la… He was dressed in trousers and a button down shirt with the first two buttons undone. He looked big and buff and just a wee bit wicked. Just imagining what he would, could, and should do to her later had her pussy weeping with need. Sky held out her chair and helped her to sit. And man, did he smell good. His blue eyes landed on her like a heat seeking missile and didn’t even glance at the hostess as she took her leave.

“I hope you don’t mind that I ordered us some wine,” he told her in a panty melting tone.

“Nope,” she replied, feeling a bit breathless and a little wicked herself. “Although what I’m thirsty for they don’t have on the menu.”

His eyes widened a fraction before narrowing. He leaned forward and she followed his lead, the sexual tension between them almost causing her to melt.

“And what would that be?” he asked mildly.

  “Some of your cum juice.”

“That is the naughtiest thing I’ve ever heard you say.”

“I’ve always been naughty,” she murmured. “But I’ve always felt too awkward to express it.”

“I see. So I brought that out, your mischievous side?”

She nodded and proceeded to wet her lips with her tongue. His gaze focused on her mouth and when he shifted in his chair she knew he had to be sporting an impressive erection.

He cocked his head. “What else did I bring out in you?”

She settled back in her uncomfortable chair as she regarded him. “Well, I never thought I’d be the type of woman who’d like to be tied up. And yet I can’t imagine having plain old boring sex anymore with a boring old cock.”

The sound of a person clearing their throat behind her had her eyes going wide as mortification flushed through her body. Her cheeks heated up and with a sense of dread she turned and looked up at the owner of the restaurant, a man who’d been a year ahead of her and Sky in high school, but whom they knew very well.

“Hello, Sky,” Aaron Phillips said in an amused voice. “Oh. Alannah? I haven’t seen you in…what? Ten years? How’ve you been?”

“I’m great, Aaron,” she murmured, wanting to sink into the faded maroon floor. “Twelve years, actually. Nice to see you again.”

“Right,” Aaron said, still grinning at her with a knowing little spark in his eyes. “Well, you look even more beautiful.”

Oh, God! Hurry up floor, and swallow me…

But the deity on high didn’t seem to be listening because she had to sit there while Aaron carried on a conversation with Sky, who seemed to be in no hurry to say good-bye thus alleviating her embarrassment. Finally, after what felt like hours and hours, but was probably more like a couple of minutes, Aaron finally wished them well and happy eating and he was off greeting the next guests.

“Your face is an interesting shade of red,” Sky commented.

“Shut it,” she told him, snapping out her napkin. “And just for that, you can pay for dinner.”

“I was going to pay for dinner anyway.”

“In that case, I’d like the filet mignon.”

  Chapter Eleven

She followed him back to his house and as she pulled in behind him in the driveway, she realized this was it. The last night. It hit her hard and sharp in her chest and she absently rubbed a hand over her heart, hoping to ease the restrictive feeling.

Her bags were packed, ready to go back to St. Louis in the morning. All that was left was to say good-bye. But for now she’d push it to the back of h
er mind and let herself be carried away by whatever Sky had planned for her tonight. When she walked into the house, everything was dark except for the lighted stairs.

  “Sky?”

“Upstairs,” he called out. Slowly, clutching her overnight bag, she headed upstairs and when she pushed open the bedroom door a gasp escaped her lips. Twenty big candles were set around the room and Sky was lighting the last one. A bottle of champagne was set to the side in a canister of ice with two empty glasses on the nightstand.

“What’s all this?” she asked, a bit overwhelmed at the romanticism.

“I’m trying to seduce you,” he said. He walked over and popped the cork on the champagne, letting it breathe a moment before filling both glasses halfway. He handed one to her and held his glass up. “To us.”

The words brought tears to her eyes and she had a serious time not crying. She took a sip, loved the bubbly flavor, and took another deeper sip, closing her eyes to get her emotions under control.

“You don’t need seduction,” she told him. “I’m a sure thing.”

“Everyone needs to be seduced once in a while,” he replied.

When she’d emptied the glass, he took it from her and then cupped her face. He stared deeply into her eyes, like he was searching for answers, although she didn’t know the questions.

"Alannah, I need you to trust me. Let me take care of you this one time, just this once.”

“I trust you, Sky,” she murmured. Hell, she’d let him do things to her that went beyond the normal scope of things.

“You know I'll be your friend forever, right?"

“Yes.” Of course she did. She and Sky had a connection that could never be broken. These four days had proven that.

He stepped closer to her, so close she could feel his heat and his hard cock, which brushed against her belly. It jerked between them, like it had a life all its own, and she felt an answering pull deep in her body. Sky leaned down until their lips barely touched and his warm breath fanned across her face. Alannah tilted her head up, wanting him so much she was beginning to shake, giving him permission to close the barely there gap between their lips. One hand slid around her neck to cup the back of her head and he pulled her up into the kiss, his lips claiming hers. From the word go, the kiss was nothing but carnal. There was nothing light or airy about it. Sky thrust his tongue into her mouth and she sucked it in greedily. The in and out grinding motion reminded her so much of sex that her pussy instantly flooded with wetness as an answering need climbed quickly through her body. Sky’s body was hard, hot, and at this moment, it was all hers. She wanted his cock deep in her pussy tonight. Sky had shown her a world she hadn’t known existed, had introduced her to her own sexuality, but right now it was all about fucking. She wanted to give him a night they both wouldn’t forget.
