Paper Kisses Page 11

“Undress for me,” he commanded, using his special voice that always reduced her to a puddle of goo. There was no way she wasn’t going to obey that voice. She backed away from him and reached behind her for the zipper, pulling it down. She shrugged off a strap from one shoulder, and then the other, and in seconds the dress was in a pile around her feet. He watched her with blazing blue eyes, his jaw clenching with restraint. Oh, how she’d love to test that restraint.

So slowly, she reached behind her and unclasped her bra but kept an arm cupped over her breasts as she pulled each strap off. He cocked one eyebrow and she pulled the bra away as her arm fell away. She knew what he was looking at, her deep red nipples pebbled from a combination of cool air and his burning stare.

That left only her panties. Half pivoting, she hooked a thumb in each side and slid them down, keeping her knees straight and bending over to give him a fine view of the ass he so deliciously plowed last night. What would he do to her tonight?

  “Now,” he said. “Undress me.”

Oh yes. Her palms already itched to run up and down his sculptured body. She unbuttoned his shirt and peeled it open, running her hands over the defined muscles and the light smattering of hair. She pulled it from his trousers and slid it off his shoulders. He was tense, watching her hungrily, which caused another round of heat to erupt in her belly.

Her hands went to his pants where his erection tented the front very nicely. Carefully she unzipped him and tugged the pants down. Lo and behold, commando. Had she known all through dinner that he was sans underwear she wouldn’t have eaten a thing, too focused on his massive cock right behind the material.

Ah… She finally found a better adjective than big. He was massive. Massive body, massive muscles. Massive cock. She fell her to her knees to help him take his shoes, socks and pants off and there it was, staring at her in the face. She could no more deny herself tasting him than she could stop the sun from rising in a few hours. She touched him, touched the pre-cum that leaked from the hole and brought it to her mouth. He was salty and strong and everything a man should be. She wrapped her hand around his shaft and caressed him from the bottom up.

  “You’re so hard.”

“All for you, Alannah. Wrap those pretty lips around me.”

Leaning forward, her tongue gently licked the tip, licking off more of his essence and tracing over the contours of the mushroom head and heavy vein under the shaft. Looking up at him to make sure he was watching her, she sucked him into her mouth. She took him as far as she could, hollowing her cheeks until he moaned with pleasure. God, she loved making him moan. As one hand rested on his thigh to keep her anchored in place, she used the other to caress his heavy sac, massaging his balls. He moaned even more as his hands buried in her hair and he guided her into what he wanted. He pushed in as far as he could go, until she gagged a little and then pulled out, until just the tip rested in her mouth. At that moment, she would suck him back in, and so it continued for a few minutes until he finally pulled her completely off him.

“Enough,” he told her. “I don’t want to come in your mouth.”

Sky wrapped his arms around her and pulled her body into his, lifting her off the ground. Alannah curved herself into his chest, leaning forward as her arms went around his neck and her legs encircled his waist. He kissed her again, holding her as if she weighed nothing, his hands holding her ass for support. He laid her down upon the bed and joined her, holding himself above her with his hands. It was an almost predatory stance, and along with the hunger shining out of his stormy blue eyes, her body thrilled at the primitive domination.

Now it was her turn to moan as he claimed a nipple with his mouth, using the flat of his tongue to lick the hard little nub before gently biting. The pain escalated the pleasure and she panted as he repeated the process to the other one. He worked his way down her body, to the cradle of her thighs, where she was spread out on display. He pushed her legs even wider, studying her pussy with such an intense look upon his face that she began to squirm a little. Her old insecurities began to rise up and she wanted to put her hand down there to cover up, but his words erased any shyness creeping up on her.

“My god, you’re beautiful,” he said in such a reverent tone that she believed him. She never really thought of vaginas being beautiful or not but she supposed she thought his cock was beautiful so it probably worked both ways. Then again, she didn’t go around looking at random cunts to judge how they looked.

And then he buried his face right in her snatch and she couldn’t help but moan as he laid claim, using his tongue to lick up and down her slit, and sucking her little clit into his mouth to suck her into a vortex of pleasure. His tongue stabbed inside her and curled up. Her hips bucked and she all but clawed at his hair, and holy fuck, how did he know how to do that? She wasn’t prepared for the orgasm to rush through her body but the climax broke over her so suddenly that she arched her back as her skin flushed with a layer of sweat. It left her panting, dazed, and yet he wasn’t done with her.

He kissed his way up her body, taking his time, touching her everywhere. There wasn’t one place that didn’t know his touch or mouth. They were both breathing hard as he towered over her once again.

“I want to fuck you now,” he whispered. “No blindfold, no cuffs. No darkness.”

  “Yes, Sky,” she agreed instantly.

“Take the condom off the nightstand and put it on me,” he ordered.

He might not be adding the kink but he couldn’t turn off his commanding voice. She did as he instructed, picking up the foil packet, opening it, and running it down his hard length.

“Are you ready, Alannah?” he asked. “Are you good and wet for me?”

“Oh, yes,” she moaned, and the words were no sooner out of her mouth than he plunged forward with one sure thrust. She gasped as her body had to immediately adjust to his invasion since she was so not used to a man of his measurements. Bryce had just been average so it took a moment for her pussy to relax. But when it did, she raised her thighs and crossed them across his broad back. If possible, the position made him sink even deeper into her wet depths. He began to rock, pulling out and thrusting in.

“God, I wanted to take this slow,” he muttered against her ear just before he sucked on her earlobe. “I wanted to seduce you but god, honey, you’re so tight around my cock I don’t know if I’ll be able to last.”

“Please,” she begged. “Take me, Sky. Give me more.”

And that was the only trigger he needed, apparently. He really began to hammer at her, pushing up on his forearms so they could stare at each other. They didn’t say anything else to one another. They didn’t have to. This moment transcended everything, and she knew it was the same for him as it was for her. She could see it in his eyes. Maybe that’s why he didn’t have penetrative sex before this…because he knew it would be this special. From this moment on, it wasn’t just their bodies that had joined. It had been their souls. They would always be a part of each other and have this memory between them.

In and out, the rhythm seemed to grow. His tempo quickened until he was slamming into her, deeper, harder, and oh god, she was spiraling higher and higher. She felt the rush come from deep inside and she screamed his name as she came. He tensed above her and she suspected he would come over with her, but he kept plowing her, unrelenting, and much to her surprise, she felt the tremors building again. He reached with one hand between them and touched the area where they were joined. All he had to do was tap her clit one time and that was it, she splintered apart again, only now she felt him following her. He threw back his head as she felt him swell inside her, and then his release had him growling out her name. They collapsed together in a tangle of sweaty arms and legs. She couldn’t move, utterly replete in sensual bliss.

Moments, or hours later she really couldn’t tell, he moved a little to take care of the condom. And then he fell back into her arms.

“You were right,” she murmured as sleep was crowdin
g into her mind.

  “About what?”

“Sex keeps getting better, with the right partner.”

He snuggled her close and she drifted off.

  Chapter Twelve

When she awoke, she was alone in bed, and she knew he had left. She turned on her back and stared up at the ceiling, her mind filled with only one thought…today was the day she was leaving. When she came back to Dexter, she never thought she’d find something worth staying for. She’d come to find the reset button, the moment where her life had careened off track, but all she’d found was Sky. She’d never felt with her husband what she’d felt with her best friend and she wondered if she’d feel anything like it again. She’d been uncomfortable with the kink in the beginning, but after the second time she’d come to accept that she liked being tied up.

But last night was the most erotic thing she’d ever felt in her life. Twice more he’d woken her up to make love, and afterwards they’d looked into each other’s eyes. The connection went so deep it touched every molecule of her being. The big question, of course, was could she trust her instincts? The last time she’d done that, she’d left Dexter determined to be anyone but her mother and to find a man who wouldn’t be her father, only to fail. Now she had so many choices that it was hard for her to know what to do.

She sighed and rose, heading into the bathroom to shower and dress. CeeCee was expecting her and she wanted to talk to her before heading out. One last time, she looked around the bedroom, collecting her stuff and making the bed. Her heart hurt and tears threatened to fall and she was so confused that she didn’t know what to think. Her mind was all over the place, dithering back and forth about whether she should stay or go. She left the house and had the strange feeling she was leaving her heart behind.

An envelope lay under her windshield and she took it gingerly. Sky’s handwriting was unmistakable and she wondered if she should open it now or wait. Her stomach was in knots and she didn’t know if she could handle one more thing so she put it in her purse and slid behind the wheel.

CeeCee was sitting on the porch when she pulled into the driveway, sipping on a glass of tea. Pooch was lying at her feet. Alannah gave her a small smile as she cut the engine and then walked up to sit opposite her.

“So are you going to stay?” CeeCee asked, not pulling any punches.

“I’m just afraid it’s too sudden,” Alannah murmured. “What if four days wasn’t enough? What if this was all just a fantasy, falling in love with your best friend?”

  CeeCee’s eyebrows shot up. “Love?”

Alannah nodded. “I can’t fight it anymore. Maybe I’ve always been in love with him. Maybe that’s why I ran so quickly. Maybe that’s really why my marriage failed.”

“Four days turns into four weeks, turns into forever,” CeeCee quipped.

Alannah pulled the envelope out of her purse. “This was on my car.”

  “From Sky?”

  “Yeah.”

She opened it and pulled out a paper kiss, cut from red construction paper and smaller than the one CeeCee had given to Pete Simmons, but it still had the same meaning. Alannah smiled.

“I think I’ve come full circle,” she said, and peace settled over her. Yes. It was all about hope, faith, and a whole lot of kisses.

Alannah turned on the car radio and scrolled through until she was able to find a rock-n-roll station. Tapping her foot, she saw a roadblock up ahead on the highway so she applied the brakes, beginning to slow down. As the roadblock of police cars came closer, she slowed down even more and eventually came to a stop not far from them. She reached over and turned off the radio as she stared in confusion. She saw the policeman lean against their cars, their lights twirling without any sound.

And then one policeman talked through his very loud car microphone.

“Ms. Atwood. Please step out of the car.”

Alannah blinked. “Oh my god,” she said, shocked and horrified. What the hell was going on? What had she done?

She opened her door, not sure what the protocol was, but she stuck her hands up in the air and carefully, slowly got out. There were a dozen cops staring at her and she began to tremble.

Kevin’s truck pulled beside her. She looked at him but he only gave her a thumbs-up. What the hell? This was not a thumbs-up moment… and then she heard the wail of a siren approaching from behind and turned. She recognized Sky’s sheriff’s car, which came to a skidding halt behind her Audi. He jumped out, leaving his door swinging wide open, and marched over to stand in front of her. Her hands were still in the air.

“Alannah Atwood, you’re under arrest,” he told her.

“Are you serious? On what charge?” she demanded.

  “Speeding.”

She glanced from him to Kevin, who was grinning. Her eyes narrowed as the suspicion that something had been planned kicked around in her head. “You’re kidding.”

  “You can lower your hands.”

Slowly, she put them down by her side.

“I couldn’t let you leave,” he said. “Not yet. Perhaps not ever. If I have to arrest you to keep you here…”

“I wasn’t leaving,” she interrupted him, smiling. “Sky, I was just returning the car.”

Sky’s eyebrows shot up. “What? But I thought…”

“CeeCee asked Kevin to follow me and to bring me back to her place.”

He sent a death glare over at Kevin who hastily put his truck in reverse and backed up. Alannah reached up and turned Sky’s head back around to look into her eyes.

“I realized I didn’t want to leave,” she told him. “Because I’m in love with you. Everything had been so scrambled around in my brain but when I saw your paper kiss I knew you were right. Love is finding and holding onto hope, and with you I feel my world has finally righted itself.”

He pulled her into his arms, smiling for the first time since she’d seen him again, an honest to god huge, happy smile. “God, I love you, Alannah. I’ve been in love with you since I was fifteen and I’m going to spend the rest of my life making sure you know that.”

“I know,” she said. “I was so wrong to leave, Sky.”

He picked up her fingers and kissed the tips. “No, you were right. You did the right thing at the time. But now I’m never going to let you go. You’re mine and I’m yours.”

“You’re so crazy! You put up a roadblock to make sure I wouldn’t leave?”

“Damn straight. And now I owe every single one of them a huge favor.” He smiled over her head and waved at the waiting police line. There were some honks as she heard the car engines start up. She couldn’t stop looking at him. Her friend. Her best friend. And now her one and only love.

“Now kiss me quick,” he ordered her, bending his head closer. “We’re holding up traffic.”
