Yielding to the urgent and warm invitation Mick offered, Willow accepted his deepening and explorative kiss before he pulled away, leaving her with a quiet gasp and a desire for more. More of him. More of this. Heat rose from her untangled belly, and she longed to share everything she had to offer with Mick as he bent over her again and softened her mouth with his own.

A new and untamed abandonment flooded Willow, loosening her restraints of fear and freeing her to love with wild recklessness.

There was only one concern now.

Pulling gently from Mick, Willow whispered, “I hope you’ll want to stay.”

“I’m not going anywhere,” Mick murmured as he took Willow’s face into his hands.

He placed his lips against hers, and she drew in a breath filled with eager desire.

This was what belonging felt like, and the familiarity of it engulfed Willow as she recalled the love Mick had mentioned earlier. She belonged here with her family and the stars that now offered her their witness. And now, Mick belonged to her, and she to him.

Leaning in, she cupped his neck and jaw with her trembling fingers, his skin warm and soft against her palm, and with a slight kiss on his ear, she whispered, “Welcome home.”
