Yeshi’s hand came up slowly and pressed against it. “Fuck you.” He managed to get out.
“So, you can’t talk to me, but you can curse with Killian?” Logan said as she grabbed the bottle of lotion that had been on the sink with the hospital soap. “I think I feel some type of way about that.”
Yeshi watched her squeeze some lotion into her hand before grabbing his hand and rubbing it up and down his arms and chest. With every stroke of her hand on his skin, Yeshi’s body heated up. She was rubbing all over his arms, back, and neck while looking into his eyes every so often.
“Damn, Logan, they paying you to be massaging this nigga like this?” Killian taunted again.
Logan released Yeshi’s hand just long enough to push Killian away from her before grabbing it again and rubbing more lotion onto it. She pulled his fingers one by one, massaging the lotion everywhere, and Yeshi was beyond grateful. His skin had felt so dry when he’d first opened his eyes.
“Logan, I think I need to sign up for one of those massages when you’re done with him,” East told her as she walked up and touched Yeshi’s exposed shoulder. “I’m glad you’re okay.”
Just as gorgeous as she’d been in Vegas, East smiled at him.
Yeshi gave a small smile. “Me too.”
“What the hell you mean you need to sign up for one of those massages?” Killian looked at East with a frown on his face. “Logan ain’t got no business rubbing on you.”
East rolled her eyes dramatically while shaking her head. “Shut your damn mouth. Just shut it right now.”
Killian walked up on her, pressing his body into hers before grabbing her throat. “Alright now, you better remember what I said.”
“Whatever, Killian.”
“What?” Logan asked with an innocent smile.
“Ignore Killian, girl. He’s just scared I’m going to fuck you.”
Logan had an outburst. “What!”
For the first time in weeks, Yeshi laughed. It was painful but felt good in the same instant. The looks on Killian and Logan’s face was pure comedy, and even in the condition that he was in, Yeshi couldn’t stop himself from laughing. Neither could East.
“Why would you say something like that to that fucking girl?” Killian used his pointer finger to push the side of East’s head.
“Because somebody else needs to hear what kind of fool you are.”
Logan looked at Killian, utterly flabbergasted. “You really think that about me?”
“Hell nah, East is a fucking liar.”
“Oh my god, Killian.” East’s smile grew brighter as she laughed at him. “So, you ain’t say that?”
Killian lied boldly. “Hell nah, I ain’t say that shit.”
She was still trying to hit him when Yeshi grabbed Logan’s hand and placed them back on his chest. It took her a minute to look away from Killian and East, but when she did, she smiled at him and went back to rubbing.
“Thank you.”
“You’re most welcome, love.”
When Logan leaned over Yeshi’s shoulder to lotion his back, and her breasts pressed against his mouth accidentally, he silently thanked God for another chance at life. How had been prepared to leave women behind? What was he thinking? He couldn’t possibly live a life where there were no women.
“Damn, Logan, show out then. Got your titties all in my nigga's mouth and shit.” Killian chuckled. “Let him get well first. He’ll fuck your world up after that.”
“You know what? I’m tired of y’all for one day. First, you think I’d have sex with your wife, and now I’m trying to fondle your best friend. I just can’t win for losing with you, Killian.” Logan shook her head playfully. “My character is just all kinds of questionable today, huh?”
“Don’t mind him, Logan. He just has a horrible sense of humor.”
Logan smiled at East before agreeing and giving her attention back to Yeshi. “You feel better?”
“Thanks to you.”
Logan blushed while gathering all the things she’d been using to clean him with. When she returned, she wrapped the clean gown across his body before pulling the dirty one from his lap. She didn’t move until she was sure he was covered and comfortable. Yeshi watched the way she moved around his room making sure he was good and had everything he needed before taking her seat.
Thanks to her, he had a bath, drank some water, and got his lips greased with Vaseline. All things he’d been in desperate need of since waking up.
“How long I been out?” Yeshi looked at Killian.
He was at the bottom of his bed with his hands in his pockets and East hanging onto one of his arms. They looked good together. She looked happy, like a woman who was being loved right, and he looked confident. Something that had been wavering on and off Killian since he’d met him. Yeshi liked it. The confident him looked more appropriate than the insecure him.
“Almost three weeks. They’ve been contemplating pulling the plug on your ass, but I wouldn’t let them. You had some explaining to do first.”
Yeshi was quiet for a moment, collecting his thoughts before shrugging his shoulders. He wanted to tell Killian that they could have let him go, but he didn’t really feel like going into that right then.
“Yeshi, are you hungry?” Logan intervened.
His eyes were back on her. Seemingly, their favorite place to be. “A little, but I don’t want to eat. My throat hurts too bad.”
“I’ll get you something soft.” Logan stood to her feet. “East, will you walk with me?”
East pulled away from Killian and followed Logan from the room. Killian’s eyes followed her until she was out of his sight.
Killian took a seat on the bottom of Yeshi’s bed. “Yo, what was up with this? Why you ain’t tell me you were going through something while I was out there?”
“I didn’t know. It kind of all happened at one time. One minute I had everything, the next I had nothing. I drink too fucking much, and it has ruined my life on some real shit.”
“It’ll be alright. I’ma be here to help you. Whatever you need, I got you.”
Yeshi nodded but said nothing.
“But, aye.” Killian hit Yeshi’s leg. “Logan a tough li’l joint, ain’t she?”
“Boy, hell yeah. Good looking out.”
“Good looking out? I ain’t send her here for your ass. You know how young that damn girl is?”
“Pussy is pussy. As long as its legal, I can fuck it.”
Killian was all laughs as he listened to Yeshi. “She ain’t even your speed, my nigga. She’s inexperienced like a muthafucka. I let her watch me fuck East earlier and she ain’t been able to look at me since.”
“Say what now?” Yeshi asked again because he needed to make sure he’d heard him right.
“You heard me.”
Happy for the conversation change, Yeshi embraced the brotherly talk he and Killian were engaging in.
“How that happen? She doesn’t strike me as the freaky type.”
“She ain’t. She just happened to walk in on us, and we ain’t make her leave. She was looking all googly-eyed at East and shit. I think she might wanna fuck her.” Killian rubbed his chin.
Yeshi shrugged. “Let her.”
“Nigga, no. East is getting enough dick. She don’t need pussy too.”
Yeshi laughed through the pain, but Killian was really an ignorant dude. Anytime he was near, he kept Yeshi laughing.
“I’m serious. I let them fuck one time, they’ll end up doing it all the time, and I ain’t about to compete with no female on no sex shit. It’ll be pointless. I be handling the shit out of East anyway. That’s good enough for her.”
“I don’t see the problem with it, but hey, that’s your woman so I can understand where you coming from. Cheating is cheating gotdamn it.”
Killian held his hand out and slapped palms with Yeshi. “My fucking nigga.”
“What y’all girl scouts in here shaking hands for?” East’s voice alerted them of the wom
en’s return.
She went straight to Killian while Logan walked to the side of Yeshi’s bed and picked up the cup of water. Yeshi drank from it until it was all gone.
“The nurse is going to bring you some food in a second.”
Yeshi expressed his appreciation for her before they all engaged in a conversation about Killian and East being married. It was shocking news to Yeshi, but he couldn’t deny his happiness. He was truly overjoyed for Kill. He deserved happiness, and from the way East was either hanging onto him, kissing him, or touching him, it was real.
A few hours passed with the four of them chilling in his room. The more Yeshi talked and moved around the easier it became for him. By the time Killian and East informed him of their departure, he’d begun to feel a lot better.
“I’ll be back to check on you in the morning.” Killian dapped him up before leaning over to kiss the top of his head. “I’m glad you made it through this, my nigga. I love you.”
“I love you too.” Yeshi embraced him the best he could from his bed.
East followed Killian with a hug and a kiss to his cheek. Once they bid their goodbyes, the two left hand in hand. Logan was still in her seat scrolling on her phone but had dropped it into her purse and looked up at him. Yeshi watched her stand to her feet and stretch.
“You about to dip too?”
She nodded. “I’m a little tired, and it’s getting late.”
“You ain’t got to explain. I appreciate you for being here with me today.” Yeshi reached for her hand. She gave it to him, and he kissed it. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. Do you need anything before I leave?”
Yeshi shook his head.
“Well, I guess I’ll see you tomorrow then.” Logan turned, preparing to leave, but stopped and turned back around. “Here, I’m going to write my number down. Call me if you need something before I come back in the morning.”
Yeshi told her that he would, and she left. Alone with his thoughts, Yeshi scooted down in the bed, trying to sort things out. It had been a long, hard road to get where he was, so he was positive it would be an even longer one to get back to himself, but he was determined. After talking with his friends, he realized that things weren’t actually as bad as he’d thought they were before. He could and would make it past this. Hopefully, Logan would help.
14. Make My Heart Love Again
“You nervous?” East asked Killian for the thousandth time since arriving in her hometown of Durham, North Carolina.
It had been a long and tiring week at the gym, and they were both extremely happy to be taking a break. Although Killian would have liked to use his free weekend doing something other than meeting East’s family, he had no other choice. She’d been practically begging him to meet her parents for weeks, so he finally obliged.
“A little, but I’m straight.”
“You don’t have to be nervous. My people are nice.”
“I ain’t nervous for them. I’m nervous for me. My mouth is all the way fucked up, and sometimes I forget the right shit to say.”
East smiled as he expressed his truest feelings in his own crazy way. Killian loved to see her smile, but he wasn’t sure right then was the right time. It may have sounded retarded coming out of his mouth, but it was the truth. He hadn’t met many parents in the past, but it never failed, he always said something that pissed somebody off.
“You’ll be fine, and if you get ready to go off the deep end, I’ll reel you back in. I can normally tell when you’re about to say something crazy.”
Killian shrugged coolly. “If you say so.”
East grabbed his neck and kissed the side of his face as they continued to grab their bags out of the car. They’d been outside of her parent’s house for the past ten minutes slow poking around because the truth of the matter was, they were both nervous. They’d been talking about telling her parents she was married the entire way there, and it had them both on pins and needles. Her more than him.
Killian didn’t really give a fuck. They were either going to like him, or they weren’t. He wasn’t going to divorce their daughter, so they could either get on board or choose not to. The choice was theirs. As long as she didn’t get funny style on him, he’d be cool.
With both of her bags and his in his hands, Killian followed East up the cement stairs to her parent’s house. Before they could even get to the front door, it opened. An overweight, middle-aged woman with light brown hair hanging around her shoulders opened the door with a large smile on her face. She was dressed casually in jeans and a sweater with way too much jewelry on. Her earrings were large, and she seemed to have a million bracelets on her wrists.
“I thought you two were going to stand out there all day.” She walked out of the house and onto the porch with her arms wide open.
“I knew you were watching us.” East walked into her grasp and hugged her tightly. She was so much taller than her mother she had to bend down to hug her. “I missed you, Mommy!” she squealed, dropping the one bag she’d been holding.
Killian stepped forward and picked the bag she’d so carelessly tossed the ground back up and set it with the rest of her things. She and her mother hugged tighter before letting each other go. She rubbed up and down East’s arms while smiling.
“Look at you smiling all hard. This man must have you on the moon, honey.” Her smile was the exact replica of his love’s. The way it curved across her entire face, making her eyes shrink was the same way East’s did. “I know you better not be pregnant. You sure are glowing.” That part of her sentence was sarcastic but made Killian’s stomach flip.
He’d been telling East the same thing for a few days, but she refused to believe him. Hopefully, her mother didn’t see something in her daughter that would become a problem for them.
“Ma, ain’t nobody pregnant.” East turned around and rolled her eyes dramatically at Killian. “I don’t even know why you would say that.” Her tone was a little too rude for her to be speaking to her mother, but that wasn’t Killian’s business.
All he offered her was an I told you so look before stepping forward and setting their bags down. East had been taller than her mother, but he really towered over her. The entire top half of his body was almost slumped over when he embraced her. He gave her fluffy body a warm squeeze, and she squeezed back, rubbing his back as well.
“Hello, ma’am, how you doing? I’m Killian.”
His wife’s smile appeared on her face again. “Hey, sweetie. I’m Deidra. It’s so very nice to meet you.” She was now holding both of Killian’s hands as she peeked her head around his body. “I see why you’re glowing, East. This a tall glass of water you got here, honey.”
“Ma, if you don’t get your hands off my man, I’ma tell my daddy on you.” East pulled Killian’s hand away from her mother with a smile on her face. “And, no you didn’t call this boy a glass of water.” Her head shook. “I’m sick of you already.”
Deidra’s laughter was sweet just like a mother’s should be. “I said what I said.”
Killian cracked up laughing while East just continued grabbing her bags. “Kill, ignore her. I see baby wants to embarrass me today, and I ain’t got time.”
Killian took the bags East had from her and grabbed the rest from the ground before following her and her mother into the house. It was warm, nicely decorated, and smelled like food. Chicken, to be exact. Killian loved to eat, and chicken was his favorite.
“You frying chicken?” he questioned to Deidra’s back.
“I sure am, baby. You hungry?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Deidra stopped short, causing Killian to bump into East’s back. “Y’all go put your stuff down and come back. The food should be done in a minute.”
East led Killian to the back of their house and up a set of stairs. The large bedroom was decorated in light purples and pink with dark brown furniture. After setting all of their things down, Killian took a seat on the bottom of the bed and removed h
is jacket. The black jogging suit with the high neck and short hood was comfortable and looked decent enough to meet her family.
“You so fucking fine, chile.” East closed the bedroom door and leaned against it.
Killian looked in her direction and smiled. He was leaning casually over with his elbows resting on his knees, his orange fitted low on his head, and orange TN Airmax on his feet. As always, his gold watch was on his wrist along with a gold bracelet.
“Have I ever told you how good those sweat suits be looking on you?” East took her jacket off and threw it on top of their bags. “Because, baby.” East sighed.
Killian held his head down to hide his blushing. East was always doing that shit. Saying little stuff that would have him smiling like a teenager.
“Come here for a second.”
East shook her head, smiling hard. “You come here.”
Killian stood and went straight to her. As soon as he was close to her, he grabbed her and kissed her mouth. They were in a fully heated make-out session within seconds. His hands roaming over her body and between her thighs to make it all better.
“I think you pregnant with my baby,” Killian whispered against her lips. “Your pussy has been so hot and juicy lately.”
East pushed him away and rolled her eyes. “Don’t let my mama put that mess in your head, Killian.”
Killian roughly snatched her back to him and kissed her lips hard. “Push me away from you like that again.” He pecked her mouth once more. “And, I been telling you that for days now. Your mama just confirmed it for me.”
“Whatever.”
Even though he was getting better with his internal feelings, Killian still had his moments of insecurity. Mostly only involving East’s feelings toward him.
“You must don’t want no baby by me or something?”
“Not right now, I don’t.”
“Well, you sure ain’t been fucking me like you don’t. I stay hitting you raw.”
East rolled her eyes and shook her head. “Fuck you.”
