Forget Me Not [Hell Hath No Fury] (Siren Publishing Classic ManLove)

“Hello,” his brother answered.
“Luca, get the Wolf Bane Serum and meet me at the abandoned quarry.” It was the only strategic place where no one would spot them. He and Luca had used it often to talk about their secrets they wanted to keep from their father and brothers and sisters.
“Why? What happened?” Luca asked sounding worried.
“Steve’s been bitten by a wolf shifter. We only have a little bit of time to save him.”
“I’m going to be there as soon as I can,” Luca promised before ending their call.
Just as Victor shut the passenger door, he remembered Harry still lay upstairs unconscious.
He ran back up and checked his pulse. Thankfully it was strong. He was unconscious because of the knock on his head, but he was all right.
He grabbed him, carrying him to the car. He set him in the back seat and hurried to the driver’s seat.
He started the ignition, then peeled out of the parking spot.
He prayed Luca and he would get to the abandoned quarry in time. He couldn’t lose the love of his life forever.
Chapter Twenty-Four
Steve fought to open his eyes. It felt like they had been sewn shut.
He heard Victor’s voice in the darkness. He was speaking to someone.
“I think he’s starting to wake up.”
“I think so, too,” a familiar voice said.
“What did the doctor say when he checked Harry?”
Harry! The image of his good friend with his eyes closed, his head bleeding on the carpet surfaced in Steve’s mind’s eye.
“Yeah, the doctor said he has a concussion. They stitched his cut up, but they want him to remain in the hospital overnight so they can observe him.”
“Maybe we should bring Steve, too, to make sure he is going to be okay,” Victor said.
“No hospitals. No doctors,” Steve mumbled. He hated both as much as he hated to eat liver. Growing up his mother always served liver on Mondays. He gagged each and every time he attempted to eat it.
He struggled, blinking hard until his lids finally fluttered fully open.
Victor stared down at him with his handsome, rugged face and a bright smile. He had three profound slashes on his cheek and neck.
“What happened to you?” Steve’s voice sounded foreign as if someone had tightened the strings to his vocal chords.
Victor pointed at the clearly visible wounds. “Don’t worry about these. I’m a vampire with quick healing abilities, remember. Come tomorrow they’ll all be gone.”
“How are you?” Victor brushed his fingers gently on Steve’s cheek. His cool touch made goosebumps spread on his skin.
“I feel lousy, but I’m going to be okay.” He turned his head to scan the room. He was back in his hotel room. “What happened? The last thing I remember I was fighting off the wolf shifter.” He squinted. “You went there, didn’t you?”
“Yeah, I was there. You don’t have to worry about him. He’s dead.”
“And Harry?”
“He’s fine.” A tall blond man standing behind Victor stepped to the side and waved. “Hi, Steve. Remember me?”
“Luca.” Steve grinned. “It’s good to see you. You look great.”
“Thanks. So do you.” He patted Victor’s shoulder. “My brother is one lucky vampire to have you in his life.”
Victor grinned proudly. “Yes, I am.”
Steve laughed, which triggered a cough attack. It burned the inside of his throat and chest. “Thanks for saying that. But I must look horrible.” He lifted his arm. It was bandaged. It throbbed as if it were about to explode.
He wondered how bad it looked. The wolf had relentlessly bit down on it.
As if understanding Steve’s thoughts, Victor answered, “Your arm is healing. In a few days’ time, you’ll feel as good as new. Thanks to the salve we’re putting on it, you’ll only have a couple of scars. But there was no nerve or muscle damage.”
“Yup, soon you and Victor can go off and enjoy your happily ever after.”
Victor widened his eyes. He turned toward Luca. “Does that mean you got a hold of that very important person?”
Luca nodded. “Yes, and he had the perfect solution to our problem.”
“What solution?” Steve asked, curious as to what they were hinting.
Victor grasped Steve’s good hand, kissing it. “I promise I’ll tell you everything soon. Just rest, my love, so you can get better faster, and we can be together.”
“All right.” Steve closed his eyes, trusting that Victor would take care of him and their future plans to run off together.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Victor was careful not to make a sound when he shut the door to Steve’s hotel room. Steve had just fallen back to sleep.
Thankfully, they’d administered the Wolf Bane Serum just in time. If they’d waited ten more minutes, it would have been too late. Steve would have turned into a rabid werewolf.
He turned to his brother and asked eager to hear everything. “So what did the witch say?”
Luca leaned against the wall and glanced down both sides of the hall making sure they were alone. “He said he has the perfect spell to make Father think he is making you leave.”
“Father letting me go, now that will never happen. He’s had his grip on me ever since he turned me. He’s never let any of his children out of his sight, let alone allow them to leave him and his mansion and go live their lives on their own.”
“Well,” Luca tilted his head, “Jax Crane says it’s possible, and the spell he’ll cast will do the job.”
“Oh, he’s going to cast it, not us?”
“Yeah, we may know a couple of spells Father taught us, but Jax is a powerful witch.”
“Okay, and he’s sure it’ll work on an elder vampire like Father?”
Luca huffed. “He knows what he’s doing. Will you stop asking so many questions? It’s going to work.”
Luca slipped his hands into his shirt pocket. “Before I forget, I wanted to give you this.”
“What is it?” Victor asked when Luca handed him the envelope.
“It’s the key to my tiny home on wheels.”
Victor gawked. “I never knew you had one.”
“Yeah, I’ve had it for a couple of years. I was hoping I could convince Father to allow me to take a year or two off so I can travel around the country. Maybe even find that special someone I could love and live with. But that is never going to happen.”
“Don’t say that. You are going to find him. And when you do, you can ask Jax Crane to cast another spell on Father to let you go, too.”
Luca rolled his eyes. “Whatever you say, bro. Anyway, I want you and Steve to use it. Travel around the country and the world together and be happy. It’s my happily ever after present to you both.”
Victor’s eyes misted. “Wow. That is the best gift you could have given us. Thank you.” He hugged his brother. “I’m going to miss you so much, Luca.”
It was a bittersweet farewell. He was embarking upon a wonderful journey of love and happiness with Steve, but he’d have to give up his brother and best friend to do it.
Chapter Twenty-Six
Victor covered Steve’s eyes when he helped him climb the step. “Be careful. The path is tricky.”
“Okay, I’m being careful. Why aren’t you letting me look?”
“Because it has to be a surprise.” He guided him. “Just a couple of more steps. And you’re there.” He moved his hands away from Steve’s face onto his shoulders, kneading them.
“So what do you think?”
They were standing just inside the patio door of Luca’s tiny house on wheels. It was so compact inside. It was about twenty or twenty-five feet long and approximately nine feet wide. There stood a comfy suede futon and coffee table to their right. The kitchen next to it was quite spacious with a full-sized fridge and stove. There was a long counter attached to a table mounted against the wall that folded out. The
y were strategically designed to use the least amount of space.
To the opposite side of the mobile home, there was a half-open sliding door. It revealed a queen-size bed with cherry wood cabinets for storage all along the right wall.
“It’s beautiful,” Steve replied.
Victor leaned in, resting his chin on Steve’s shoulder. “You’re not just saying that?”
“No, why would I?”
“Well, you have to really think about it. We’re going to be living here for a long time. It won’t be too small?”
Steve shook his head. “I don’t mind if it’s small, as long as I’m with you.” He glanced at the bedroom. With an impish grin, he added, “But before I give my final approval, I think we should test out one thing.”
Victor rasped. “Oh, I think we should test it out, too. I mean if it can’t withstand our lovemaking, then we definitely have ourselves a problem.” He whisked Steve into his arms. Steve giggled, kissing the side of Victor’s long, thick neck, just above his snake tattoo.
Victor carried him to the dense bedroom. He laid him onto the bed. The memory foam mattress under him seemed to mold to his body.
He rubbed his arms back and forth as if he were making angels in the snow. “This is so comfortable.” He patted the right side of the mattress. “Come to me, baby.”
Victor growled like a frisky animal. He waggled his eyebrows and striped so fast, Steve blinked only twice before Victor stood at the foot of the bed stark naked.
Steve licked his lips while he admired Victor’s erect cock. Its head pointed right at him as if to say, “I want to fuck you.”
Steve’s dick hardened in his jeans.
“You like what you see?” Victor asked, now crawling onto the bed beside him.
“Oh, I like what I see. I want to eat what I see, too.”
Victor threw his head back, laughing. He lay flat on his back, his arms on either side of him. “Then eat me. I’m all yours.” His cock twitched. Steve could see pre-cum glistening on the tip in the sun’s rays that seeped through the side window.
He liked how the tiny house’s natural lighting defined Victor’s beautiful, perfect body.
“Why does the sunlight not bother you? Aren’t vampires sensitive to sunlight?” he asked while caressing Victor’s hairless chest.
“That’s a myth. We have no sensitivity to the sun.” He took Steve’s hand, kissing each finger. Steve’s fingertips tingled with Victor’s lips’ cool touch.
He shivered with arousal. He turned and knelt directly over Victor. He leaned in to kiss Victor passionately on his lips. He could smell his musky cologne. He took deep breaths and slipped his tongue into Victor’s mouth to taste it. Mmm, he smelled and tasted so good.
Victor combed his fingers through Steve’s thick curly brown hair while Victor’s cock hardened and grew bigger under Steve.
Releasing Victor’s wanton mouth, Steve trailed his swollen lips down Victor’s hairless chest. His smooth skin was soft. His chest rose and fell with each shallow breath. Steve couldn’t hear Victor’s heartbeat. Victor had told him that his heart didn’t beat.
But it didn’t bother Steve. Victor’s heart was good and true. That was all that mattered. Steve licked his skin, inducing goose bumps of pleasure to rise and spread over Victor’s upper torso.
Targeting his left, pert nipple, Steve sucked and bit it gently.
Victor moaned, quickening his strokes in Steve’s hair and back with his nimble fingers.
Steve felt cool, creamy pre-cum on his abdomen as Victor rubbed his cock against him. An insatiable desire to taste Victor’s cum overcame Steve. He wiggled downward until his mouth was aligned with Victor’s hard, wet erect cock.
He peered at Victor who stared down at him. Victor bit his lower lip and held his breath as if anticipating what would come next.
Steve licked his lips eagerly and wrapped his hand around the base of Victor’s cock against his engorged balls. He licked the side of his dick, contouring the ridges and the protruding vein that pulsed.
He inserted his tongue in the tip’s opening. He then wrapped his lips around its circumference.
Victor groaned. “Mmm, suck me, baby.”
Steve moved his lips up and down on Victor’s cock, sucking the tip when he got to the top. Victor thrust into his mouth, his cock twitching and throbbing with his throes of ecstasy.
“Mmm, yes that is so good.” Victor’s voice was raw, throaty. His balls tightened. “I’m going to come,” he said just as he thrust deep into Steve’s throat.
He came in Steve’s mouth. Steve swallowed his salty, wet, cool cum and felt it warm him inside. The intimate feat drew him closer to this wonderful, gorgeous vampire.
He loved him even more at this very moment if that were possible.
He lay back on the bed, resting his head on Victor’s outstretched muscular arm, knowing that their love would continue to grow stronger as time passed.
He leaned in to kiss his cheek, then said, “This place is perfect for us. We are going to be so happy here.”
Victor nodded, smiling. “Yes, we are, my love. Luca said it’s our happily ever after gift and he was right.”
