A Guardian's Passion

“Don't stop now, please,” Gabriella begged without opening her eyes.

While her tongue rubbed over Gabriella's clit, Trinity slowly pushed her fingers into Gabriella’s warm cavern until she couldn't go any deeper. As she pulled them out, she moaned at the warm slickness that covered her fingers. She was both flattered and humbled to have Gabriella want her so much. The realization made her want to hear the woman beneath her scream out her pleasure. Pulling Gabriella closer still, Trinity concentrated everything she had on achieving that goal.

Small, ragged puffs burst from Gabriella’s lips and filled the room as Trinity plundered Gabriella’s sex with deep thrusts. By now both their bodies were slick with sweat. Trinity moaned at the sensation of Gabriella’s feet as they brushed down her back.

“I'm coming, I'm coming,” Gabriella chanted breathlessly.

Trinity moved her lips away from Gabriella’s clit but kept on fingering her hard. A slight feeling of guilt surged through Trinity at what she was about to do, but she forcefully pushed it away. Baring her fangs, she bit into the soft, fragrant flesh of Gabriella’s thigh. Her eyes widened as the first spurt of blood filled her mouth. Laced with desire and adrenaline, Trinity drank deeply from the potent blood. The bite set off another orgasm in Gabriella causing her head to thrash from side to side. Licking over the pinpricks, Trinity lifted her head only to have Gabriella push her fingers into Trinity's hair to hold her head in position between her own quivering legs.

After a long while, Trinity hoisted herself onto the elbows and looked down at Gabriella. She was lying so still, with only her chest heaving unevenly, making Trinity wonder if she'd maybe taken a little too much blood and probably…the amber eyes opened slowly and stared up at her from under heavy eyelids. Trinity breathed a sigh of relief and placed a soft kiss on Gabriella’s lips.

“Are you okay?” she asked softly. Trinity frowned when Gabriella shook her head weakly.

“No. I feel thoroughly ravished,” Gabriella whispered.

Trinity grinned and kissed her again. “That was the idea. Remember though that it was just a prelude to many more to come.” She licked her lips slowly and smiled darkly. “You taste divine, by the way.”

“I taste different every day. You'll find out soon,” Gabriella teased. Gabriella’s hand moved to her hip and stilled. “You’re still wearing your jeans? Why?”

Trinity shrugged. “There was no time to take them off. I couldn’t wait to taste you.”

The amber eyes studied her closely. “Is that the only reason?”

“I cannot think of any other reason.”

Gabriella cocked her head to the side. “So you won’t object if I do this?”

Trinity watched as Gabriella opened the fly of her jeans and pushed her hand inside.

“I would be stupid to object,” she murmured just as Gabriella’s hand pushed under Trinity’s lace panties.

Gabriella inhaled sharply when her fingers encountered wetness. There was a time in her life when all she could think about was doing to Trinity what she was about to do now. She flicked the hardened nub and heard the vampire moan softly. She met dark green eyes and she was pleased to see the anticipation on Trinity’s face.

“You’re so wet. Do you want me to make you come?” Gabriella asked.

“Please help me get out of these jeans.”

Trinity had an almost pained look on her face. Pulling her hand out of Trinity’s underwear, Gabriella brought the moist digits to her lips and flicked out her tongue to taste them.

  “You taste sweet.”

The next minute, Trinity exploded from the bed and urgently began to pull at her jeans. Gabriella sat up and pulled the struggling vampire closer.

  “Let me help.”

Together they managed to get Trinity undressed and Gabriella pushed Trinity onto the bed and onto her back. Trinity’s eyes were so dark with desire that it was impossible to discern their real color. Her eyes travelled over Trinity’s naked body and she smiled. She had always known that Trinity was beautiful, but she was pleasantly surprised to see that she was even more perfect than she had thought. Long, powerful legs were splayed exposing a soft, red patch of hair at the apex of her thighs. Gabriella’s mouth watered at the sight of the reddish triangle. Now that she knew what Trinity tasted like, she was eager to sample her again.

With slow, catlike moves, Gabriella crawled over Trinity’s strong body until she laid spread out on top of the vampire. Gabriella placed soft kisses on Trinity’s neck as her fingernails traced down the narrow hips, down to the smooth thighs.

“I can’t wait to touch you again.” A soft groan escaped Trinity’s lips when Gabriella’s fingertips brushed against Trinity’s swollen sex. “I want to dip my tongue into your wetness and drink my fill.”

She grinned when Trinity closed her eyes briefly, her jaw set. Bracing her hands on the bed and coming to sit on her knees, Gabriella dragged her lower body up and over Trinity’s, letting her moist sex brush over Trinity’s stomach. Gabriella moaned at the chaffing sensation of her clit brushing over the hard ridges. A soft growl came from Trinity and Gabriella threw her head back as she began to grind her sex harder into Trinity’s abdomen. She let out a pained moan as Trinity’s hands clasped her behind, squeezing the globes.

“Do not keep me waiting too long, Gaby,” Trinity rasped. When Gabriella looked down into Trinity’s eyes the dark desire she saw there made her shiver in anticipation. She leaned closer and pressed an openmouthed kiss on Trinity's lips. She moaned when Trinity opened her mouth, allowing Gabriella’s tongue entry. They kissed long and hard before Gabriella pulled away, short of breath. She ran a fingertip across the redhead’s nose.

“You’re so beautiful,” she whispered. Her fingertip traced the full sensual lips before she stuck the digit in her mouth, suckling it. “I want to make you feel beautiful too.” She twisted her torso and reached down between the muscled thighs.

A soft gasp burst from Trinity’s lips and Gabriella bit down hard on her lower lip as her finger sunk deeper. Trinity bucked and grabbing the opportunity, Gabriella pressed deeper. The vampire whimpered softly, the sound making Gabriella even hotter. She wanted to hear that sound again, louder. Moving her hips, she set a brisk pace. Her wetness smeared over Trinity’s stomach and her finger deep inside the tight sheath of the vampire, Gabriella had never felt more powerful. Here she was a mere mortal making this powerful being beneath her whimper and mewl like a helpless kitten.

It didn't take Trinity long to come. Her body stiffened at first before it began to shudder. The green eyes flashed red for a brief moment before they slammed shut and a deep growl vibrated through the room and through Gabriella’s body. The vibrations against her already swollen clit, made Gabriella throw her head back and hiss as her body went through a series of tremors. Her hips jerked a few more times before she fell against Trinity’s chest. Her eyes fluttered closed and she could only mutter a soft grunt as Trinity straightened her body out so she lay stretched out on her lover’s damp body.

Gabriella looked at Trinity, fully dressed and dangerously sexy in her black outfit. Pulling the sheet around her, she walked over to where Trinity stood and stared up into her eyes. Just seeing her standing there, looking so cool and dangerous, triggered her desire again. She wanted her again, if not tonight, then perhaps tomorrow, and the day after and the day after. Hell, she actually wanted her around for a very long time and being a vampire, Trinity could actually fulfill that wish. But Trinity looked so cold and distant, standing there, looking at her with expressionless eyes. It was hard to believe that this was the same person who had squirmed underneath her a little while ago. She couldn’t help but wonder what could’ve happened between then and now? She hesitantly reached out and cupped Trinity’s cheek, desperate to re-establish their earlier connection.

“When will I see you again?”

There was a brief flash of something akin to fear in the green eyes, b
ut it passed just as quickly.

  “I do not know.”

Gabriella stepped closer and pressed herself up against Trinity. The thought of Trinity disappearing again was too much to bear…not after what they’d shared.

“I want to see you again.” Gabriella hated to hear herself sound so needy, but she would do anything to assure that Trinity would stay in her life this time.

Trinity put her hands on her shoulder and held her back so she could look into her eyes.

“As much as I want to be with you, I am scared that Tristan's spies might follow me here one night and I hate to think of what he will do to you to get back at me.”

A shudder went down Gabriella's spine and Trinity having felt it pulled her closer. “I should have known better than to give in to…to this,” Trinity said. “Tristan is one of the cruelest vampires in existence and he would not think twice of hurting you.” The green eyes pleaded with Gabriella. “It is my fault that this happened, but I beg you not to go out alone at night and do not invite strangers in after dark.”

Gabriella knew Trinity well. The vampire was not one to scare easily, but this new renegade seemed to have Trinity rattled.

“I only feel safe when you are around.” The amber eyes filled with tears. “Can't you stay with me, please?”

Trinity lifted Gabriella’s chin and tenderly kissed her quivering lips. Gabriella was relieved to see that the green eyes were warm as they gazed at her. She had her Trinity back.

“It is too dangerous for me to be around you, Gaby. You are safe here unless you invite strangers in after dark.”

“What about during the day? I’ve done my research. Vampires can send their underlings to kidnap people during the day.”

Trinity nodded, her eyes troubled. “Maybe you should stay at home for a few days until I have come up with a plan to keep you safe during the day.”

Gabriella lifted wet eyes to her.

“You would do that for me?”

“I promised you before that I would take care of you for as long as I live. You know that I always keep my word.”

Gabriella nodded and Trinity took her in her arms and held her tight.

  “I know.”

Trinity’s eyes snapped open where she lay under the cool layers of earth. Instead of pushing through to the surface, she laid there, her mind immediately traveling to Gabriella. She clenched her fist tight, ignoring the pain as her nails broke the skin and sank into her palm. She was failing Gabriella. After three days of wracking her brain she was nowhere near a plan on how she could protect Gabriella. Tristan wasn’t stupid and it was only a matter of time before he would find out about Gabriella. Her fist squeezed further and this time she could feel a warm, stickiness trickle down her arm.

Tristan was not going to take Gabriella from her. She would die before she let that happen. An image of Clarissa, pale and bleeding out, crossed her mind. A deep growl rumbled through her chest as she burst out of her tomb. She landed on her feet a few feet from the gaping hole, her chest heaving with anger and panic, as a cloud of dust slowly settled around her.

“Inger would have my head if I ever did that.”

Trinity spun around, startled by the unexpected voice. Paloma stood on the last step of the staircase which led to the chamber above. The silver eyes studied her with piercing intensity. At that moment she was grateful for the fact that vampires were extremely particular about not sticking their noses in other vampires’ business. Paloma didn’t disappoint.

“Inger said to meet her at the boutique downtown,” she said curtly and left. Trinity exhaled loudly and turned to inspect the mess she’d made. She would have to clean this up before she left. With the daybreak short on her heels and sleep paralysis setting in there was almost never time to do anything else but crawl into the den and sleep.

Cleaning up the room quickly, Trinity changed into her accustomed dark attire and left to meet with Inger. She was glad for the distraction, since the past three days was mostly spent mopping around in the library or working out her frustration in the training room. Just maybe, she thought, Inger would have a solution to her problem.

When Trinity arrived at the boutique, she greeted Merle, whose husband worked for the Consortium, and went in search of Inger. Trinity found her in the mirrored gallery, as Merle called the room, which was fitted with mirrors all around. Inger sat on one of the many couches, sipping a glass of red wine. She looked up when Trinity entered.

“Hey, you got here fast,” she said in a cheerful tone and pointed to the small bar in the corner of the room. “Get yourself something to drink.”

“I am fine for now, but I need your advice on something.”

She saw the blue eyes widen slightly and Trinity smiled. She had been alone for so long and never before had the need to ask someone for favors or for help. It all changed when she moved into the safe house. The Royal Clan did almost everything together, except pry in each other’s business. When one had a problem everyone jumped in to help. Like in the case with Tristan, numerous hunters and slayers were patrolling the streets searching for Tristan's lair. She considered herself lucky being part of this family.

“It must be very important if you're asking for help, my help especially,” Inger remarked dryly, her beautiful face pulled in a frown. “What is it?”

“I am looking for a safe place for Gabriella until Tristan has been dealt with.”

Inger carefully placed her glass on the small table and crossed her legs.

“Why? What happened?” There was genuine concern on her face.

“I have a feeling that Tristan is having me followed. If she were somewhere safe where I could keep an eye on her until we have taken care of Tristan, I would feel more relaxed.”

  Inger's blue eyes were pensive.

“I agree with you. Maybe she'll have to move into the safe house with us for the time being. We can leave for work together in the mornings and you can collect her from the office in the afternoon.”

Trinity loved the idea, had it only been so easy. What would the others think about welcoming a strange human into their domain?

“The others? Will they not object?”

“Not at all.” Inger picked up her glass and took a sip, studying Trinity over the rim of her glass. “Not only are you family, but you’re also a member of the Clan Royals. Your father is a Royal Vampire. You have as much right to decide whom to bring there as anyone else.”

Trinity thought about it for a while and shook her head. “Please do not think I am trying to be difficult, but I would like to ask them first.” Having half an idea of what to do now, Trinity felt like having a drink and walked over to the bar. She felt Inger’s eyes on her.

  “She's here, by the way.”

Confused, Trinity’s hand stopped mid-air as it was reaching out for the opened wine bottle.

  “Who?”

“Gabriella. She's in the fitting room over there.”

Trinity turned slowly away from the bar to stare at the door leading to the fitting room. Behind those flimsy doors was the one person who'd been occupying her thoughts every second of every night for the past few days.

  Chapter 9

She hadn't seen Gabriella since the night she'd made love to her. Not knowing what to do with her suddenly idle hands, Trinity pushed them through her hair. The mere thought of Gabriella being here, a few feet away from her, made her stomach flutter. Erotic images of that night streamed through her mind and closing her eyes, she groaned softly.

She wondered idly what had happened to her restraint. Before that night, she could look at Gabriella and see the seven year old girl who'd held on to her neck, weeping as if her heart was breaking. But after what they'd shared that night, she would never be able to look at Gabriella without thinking of her in a state of undress, clutching the sheets, her thighs quivering and moaning her name.

Groaning again, she opened her eyes only to blink rapidly in surprise. Gab
riella stood a few feet away from her, the amber eyes wide in shock. From her seat on the couch, Trinity was aware of Inger studying them with sharp eyes, not missing a thing.

“Good evening, Trinity,” Gabriella said softly and Trinity thought she saw a light blush coloring Gabriella's face.

“Gabriella.” Her voice sounded strangled to her own ears and she prayed it didn't sound like that to Gabriella. For a long moment they only stared at each other. Trinity fought the urge to walk over and pull the woman into her arms, unsure if her touch would be welcome.

Inger cleared her throat softly, drawing their eyes to her. “What do you think of Gabriella's dress, Trinity? I think the red brings out her sultry dark looks and it goes well with her fiery nature too.”

Gabriella blushed even deeper when Trinity turned suddenly hot eyes on her. Yes, Trinity thought, Inger was right. The red suited Gabriella very well and the cut of the dress accentuated her curves nicely. After a deliberately slow appraisal, Trinity lifted her eyes knowing fully well what they reflected. She wanted to push Gabriella against the wall and push her hand up that blasted come-screw-me-dress and rub her clit until she came. Instead she took a deep breath and mumbled a quiet compliment. Their eyes remained locked.

“I told you the dress was a killer,” Inger said loudly, startling them both. “Now for the next one. I think Trinity will have to help you out of that dress, Gabriella. It's so much easier to put it on than taking it off. In the meantime I will fix you both something to drink.” She waved them off and walked over to the bar. With her eyes still on the charmingly and surprisingly demure Gabriella, Trinity missed the sly smile on Inger’s face.
