My Blue Havyn (Hearts of Hollywood - Christian Romance Novellas)

Havyn’s own eyelids felt heavy with weariness but also a great contentment, and she tipped her head back and allowed sleep to pull her under.
Levi returned to the living room with two plates and two cups of coffee on a tray. He stilled at the sight of Havyn on the couch snuggled up with one of the puppies that Cannon had brought up from his place when he moved into one of the guest bedrooms.
A contented smile tugged at his lips, and he began to hum the tune to the old Frank Sinatra song that had haunted him from the first moment he’d known he was in love with Havyn so many years ago.
Wherever Havyn was, that would be his little bit of heaven on earth. And he suddenly had a feeling he’d be paying for one very tiny puppy to travel to the States once it was old enough to leave its mother. He set the tray down on the end table and lifted her ankles and swung them up onto the couch, easing her head down toward one end, so she could lay down more comfortably. He adjusted the blanket carefully around her and the puppy, then gave in to the urge to touch the softness of her cheek with his thumb.
Havyn turned her face toward his hand and gently kissed his palm without ever opening her eyes. “Sorry I’m not much company. Can I eat later?” Her words were a barely audible, sleepy murmur as she nestled her head more comfortably into the pillow.
“Rest. I’m not going anywhere.” He carefully lifted the puppy off her chest and held it up before his face. It gave a mewl of protest. He smiled. “Yes, I think Baby is going to be the perfect name for you, little mutt.” Tucking the puppy closer, he turned his focus once more to the woman of his dreams and eased out a slow breath.
He truly had come home to his blue heaven.
Dear Reader,
I hope you enjoyed this little story about Havyn and Levi. Sometimes we get our relationships into a muddle because of misunderstandings or past hurts, but God is a God of restoration - if we’ll just ask Him.
Here’s an interesting little side note… Did the romance story Havyn was reading sound interesting? Well, it’s a real book written by a friend of mine, and you can find out more about Saving Grace here.
Look for Chelsea and Cannon’s story, Somebody’s Chelsea, in an upcoming anthology titled, Mistletoe and Mochas, that should be out by Christmas time, 2014.
