He turned his mind back to the special woman who made him complete and the day where they officially became one. When they made their pledges of Communing, he glanced at their entwined hands. The bands of love they had previously given each other during the wedding sealed their commitment to each other. He caught sight of their markings. Instead of the current trend for teardrops, they’d chosen stars, marking the place they felt most at home together.
While they celebrated with their friends, carousing well into the wee hours with the crew of the Elector and those who had become near and dear to them, they thanked them for witnessing both ceremonies.
Finally, the time came for them to slip away to the well wishing of friends, both new and old.
Within the cabin that had become their haven, he held her close.
“I love you, Mellissa.” His chest nearly burst with pride. “Since you came into my life, everything has changed. It’s become richer, and I can’t even imagine a day passing without you by my side.”
She beamed and framed his face. “I love you too.”
They kissed and in time, to the tune of the song of their bodies, they became one, slowly in the unhurried way of true love, with fingers entwined.
One last thought arrowed into his mind. Truly, they could have it all.

In 2011, Imogene Nix was born at the Bondi ARRA (Australian Romance Readers Association) Conference. Returning from the conference enthused, Imogene sat down and worked tirelessly for three months culminating in the book Starline. This book became the first in the Warriors of the Elector series. In fact, she has completed six entire series. Imogene has successfully been contracted for twenty-five titles and self-published three others under this pseudonym. She has also completed another three and is, like many of her contemporaries, seeking homes for these books—with at least one likely to be self-published once ready.
Imogene is a member of a range of professional organizations, including Romance Writers of Australia (where she holds a committee position as the Public Relations). She is also a member of Romance Writers of America, FFP (Fantasy, Futuristic, and Paranormal) Chapter of RWA (US), Australian Romance Readers Association (ARRA), Science Fiction Romance Brigade (SFRB), Dark Siders Down Under (the Australian Paranormal, Fantasy, and Futuristic Chapter of RWA), Erotic Writers of Australia, and Queensland Writers Centre and most recently Romance Writers of New Zealand.
