As they arrived, Roma saw Milo and a few of his band of rogue white knights, and as they passed them, Milo nodded his head to them and continued assisting the rest of the knights in getting the final touches ready for Frank’s announcement.
Then finally, after a few minutes, the stage was set, and the crowd had gathered, and Frank walked onto the stage.
“Good night my fellow betasapiens, I would first like to say that we have captured those responsible for the disappearance of my mother–in–law and the Invisible Dome is safe from the evil and vile nature of these beings,” Frank said as he gave the gesture to Achilles, who along with a few knights brought out the humans for the betasapien public to see.
“These are the humans that are responsible for this chaos, and we will execute them one by one for this most heinous act of rebellion against the good people of the Invisible Dome,” he continued saying as the three humans were paraded out.
As the human clones stood on the stage they were utterly confused by what was going on, their hands and feet were bound, and their mouths were closed shut. To the betasapien public these looked like regular humans, but unbeknownst to them, they were actually human clones created by the betasapiens who only a select few knew about.
“Kill them all,” a voice shouted as the crowd began to get rowdy.
Frank then gestured to Bernard who brought out a helmet–like device along with two gloves and Frank put the helmet–like device over his head and put the gloves on his hands.
“This, my people, is what we, the betasapien government have been working on in order to protect all of you, there are many prototypes and weapons that we have, but this one is very special to me,” he said as the crowd looked on eager to see what he was going to do.
Frank then finished putting the equipment on and then looked at one of the human clones, he then focused on him and began to move his hands as if he were choking him and the human clone began to cough. Frank then tightened the grip, and it was clear that the human clone was having trouble breathing, and then he suddenly dropped to the floor and was dead. Upon seeing that, the betasapien public was in awe, as never before did they see such a show of supernatural force.
Meanwhile, Bridget was in shock as she looked on, and Frank then looked at her and said to the crowd, “This is what happens to those who betray and oppose us,” and the crowd erupted in a cheer.
Frank then looked towards the second and third human clones and moved his hands as if he were holding a weapon, he then quickly stabbed the weapon towards the chest of the second human and did the same to the third human, and they both fell dead to the ground.
“This is the power we have people; the world is ours. Never do we have to live in fear of the humans and the superhumans, and we now have the power to destroy them. What you see here is only the tip of the iceberg, and this is just a small demonstration of what we have been creating to keep you all safe.” Frank said to the crowd.
The crowd, still amazed from seeing Frank’s unbelievable powers clapped and cheered, some for the evil joy of the situation and others out of fear of the powers that Frank had at his disposal.
“However my fellow friends, there is one more person who was involved in this betrayal that must also suffer the consequences just as the humans did, and that person is my wife,” Frank said, and with that, the crowd stood baffled in silence and all eyes stared upon Bridget.
Frank then looked in her direction, and with the ease of moving his hands, he lifted her towards the stage in mid–air and everyone looked on stunned and bewildered. Bridget desperately tried to escape with everything she had, but it was no match for Frank’s powers. Meanwhile, Roma looked on in horror as her beloved Bridget was now mere minutes away from certain death at the hands of her husband.
“My fellow friends, Bridget helped her mother escape from the Invisible Dome, she is on the side of the humans, and she has betrayed every single one of you and for that, she will pay the ultimate price,” Frank said as he still held Bridget in mid–air and the crowd looked on in anticipation of his next move.
“It wasn’t her Frank, it was me, I am responsible for this, so kill me and leave her, she is innocent of this act of treason, please take my life instead of hers,” Roma shouted as she walked towards Frank.
Achilles and a few knights then ran towards Roma and put her in shackles and brought her towards Frank and he asked her, “Who else is responsible for this? Tell me now and I will not make Bridget suffer any longer?”
Roma was torn on what to do, but as she looked at the love of her life suspended in mid–air she blurted out, “Milo is responsible, he is responsible along with his band of rogue white knights.”
Upon hearing Roma’s words, Achilles then ordered a few knights to arrest Milo and he surrendered in peace in the hope that it would save Bridget.
Frank then watched as Milo was arrested and then said to Roma, “This is what happens to those who betray us,” and with that, he motioned his arms and as the thoughts of the many years of frustration in his marriage went through his head, along with the thoughts of his deep and true feelings of hatred towards Bridget, and as he looked at her suspended helplessly in mid–air he quickly motioned his arms and began to choke her and as she gasped for air he continued choking her and looked at her without any remorse or pity. And then as she breathed her final breaths of air Frank did the unthinkable and then within seconds he threw her to the ground below as the crowd looked on in shock, and Frank looked at Bridget’s dead body without a sign of any emotion whatsoever.
The crowd, still stunned from the earlier killings of the human clones was in utter shock and disbelief at what they just saw, and some screamed in horror while others looked on in pride at the length that Frank went to in order to protect the betasapien public from those who Frank claimed sided with the humans.
“You see my friends, I am here for you, the good people of Australia and I will do anything and everything in my power to keep you safe from those that choose to betray us,” Frank said to the betasapien public in hopes of easing their feelings of discomfort as well as ensuring them that he was there to protect them and keep them safe from the threat of the humans and the superhumans.
Frank then waved to the crowd and left them behind as he entered the World Government Headquarters; he was closely followed by Achilles and almost two dozen white knights along with his new prisoners, Roma and Milo. As they walked, Achilles asked Milo who else was involved in this act of betrayal and Milo said that no one else was involved, and Achilles then took both Milo and Roma to be reprogrammed, which would essentially erase their memories and give them a fresh start as white knights.
As Roma and Milo waited to be reprogrammed by Achilles, Roma asked him, “Was it worth it for you Milo? Was this worth being free?”
“Yes it was Roma, and if I had the choice I would do it again,” Milo replied.
“Was it worth it for you to find someone who you truly loved and who loved you back?” Milo asked her.
“No Milo, I would much rather she be alive and me being her loyal knight without any feelings or emotions,” Roma said as her eyes swelled with tears.
“You are one of the lucky ones Roma, you felt true love; that is what life is about and you had the chance to experience it, what a wonderful thing,” Milo said.
As Achilles listened to their emotional conversation he felt somewhat awkward about the raw emotion of the situation, and then to his surprise, Milo asked him, “And how about you Achilles, would you change anything in your life?”
“Who me…no, I would never do that. Not for love, not for happiness and not for anything or anyone. I was created to serve my master and I am happy to do so,” Achilles replied.
“Even though your master is a power hungry madman,” Roma barked.
Achilles then looked back at her and did not utter a word; he then received word from one of the knights that the reprogramming stations were ready for use and he led Roma and Milo into the room to be repro
grammed.
As they entered, Roma said, “I hope that we remember each other in the next life Milo.”
“So do I,” Milo replied as they were strapped down and reprogrammed, destined never to know each other again.
Back at the betasapien headquarters, Frank met with the board of the betasapiens.
“Well done Frank, you put to rest any and all fears that the betasapien public had, and most of all you put the safety of the people ahead of the needs of yourself,” one of the board members said.
“I do what is right for the people,” Frank replied, but in truth, everything Frank did was for himself and was done only to benefit him.
Frank had the power to read the minds of most betasapiens and he knew what to do to make them infatuated and impressed by him. He also knew that he could not lose the trust of the general betasapien public, for if he did he would not only lose some of the great scientific minds of the betasapiens but he would risk a civil war inside the Invisible Dome and that was something that he was not intent on doing.
In addition to that, Frank craved the power and attention he received from the betasapiens and that was something that he was not going to let go of even if it meant the destruction of anyone who came in his way, even his own wife – Bridget.
As he spoke to the board, his smooth words which were filled with lies and deception echoed throughout the room and in his final statement of the night to the board he said, “Everyone, please join me in the war room.”
“It’s late my master, and you should go to bed, I’m sure whatever it is can wait until tomorrow,” Bernard said.
“Bernard my trusted assistant, do you know why we are winning this war against the humans? It is because while our enemies sleep we are awake and we are planning and plotting their demise,” Frank told him.
“You are most wise Frank,” one of the board members said.
“Frank, you have taken the betasapiens to new heights and in you, we all put our trust,” said another board member.
“Thank you my friends,” Frank replied as they all entered the war room.
As the group entered, a few knights greeted them, and Frank then walked up to the communications system and sent a message to the commanders of the silver knights of Russia, the golden knights of Africa and the black knights of China. The message was as clear as day and there was no ambiguity, “Prepare your knights, the attack on the superhumans will begin in two days,” and with those words, Frank initiated the attack on the superhumans of Alaska and set in motion the final battle for the planet earth.
CHAPTER NINE
As Alkazar mounted his great beast known as Osotnoc, he was in disbelief that Venetia was ready to destroy an entire universe. For although he did not necessarily agree with her decision, he still headed out to meet the leaders of the royal guards to notify them of their mission to destroy earth as well as the universe itself. He felt uneasy about it, but at the same time he knew that Venetia was the ruler of Zerros and her words were final, especially regarding a decision of this nature.
As he looked around at the magnificent Realm of Zerros, he remembered his earlier days of feeling free and unattached to his life, but now he was the leader of the royal guards and his life was dedicated to protecting the Realm of Zerros and following the orders of its ruler.
As he looked around, he saw the now empty and dry fountain of life, and there was not a drop of water to be seen. The last time the fountain had water was eons ago, but since Venetia and her clan became rulers of Zerros they shut off the fountain in order to maintain stability, or so they claimed.
In truth, Venetia destroyed the fountain, or so she thought, to show that she was the true and last ruler of Zerros, and she wanted to show everyone in Zerros, especially the older clans, that her words were the laws of Zerros, and her tyrannical and oppressive ways would be the laws of Zerros from the time her rule began until the end of eternity.
As her tyrannical ways plagued the once great and amazing Realm of Zerros, the clans of old were in the midst of a massive rebellion, but Galiac talked them out of it as he knew that the timing of this rebellion was not right. Then, as Venetia’s clan continued to rule with an iron fist, they did the unthinkable and shut down the fountain of life which was something that no one in Zerros was allowed to do given their instinctive nature and views towards the mystical fountain that gave life to everything in the Realm of Zerros.
In addition to this most heinous of acts, they also stopped the creation of new universes, galaxies, and species and left the countless numbers of those universes, galaxies, and species already in existence to fall and flounder and be overtaken by greed, hate, and evil.
Upon hearing the news of these acts of blasphemy, the old clans requested that the fountain be turned on again, and more importantly they requested Venetia to continue the upholding of good and order in the creations already in existence. But at this point it was too late as greed and evil were slowly spreading to everything in existence which included universes, galaxies, planets as well as the numerous life forms that dwelled within them.
But Venetia would not have it and refused their request with a threat of war and destruction, and also the threat – of which she knew everyone in Zerros feared, including Galiac – which was the unleashing of the majestic beast which she had control of as ruler of the throne as well as her rule over the life of Razen.
In the end, the old clans stood down due to the fear of what Venetia was ready to do in order to keep her warped sense of dictatorship over Zerros and continue her tyrannical and maniacal ways. Upon hearing the news that the clans decided to stand down and not push Venetia towards a decision which they would all regret, Galiac was happy as he knew that a war over the fountain of life, as well as the upholding of good and order to all of the universes, galaxies, and species in existence was hopeless unless the true ruler of Zerros ruled the throne and was in power.
Furthermore, Galiac knew that a bigger and more important war would be on the horizon, a war that would have much more far reaching and widespread implications to Zerros as well as the multitudes of universes, galaxies, and species under their control.
As Alkazar rode Osotnoc, he was met by Zekanos, “Alkazar my friend, good to see you, what brings you outside the walls of the Grand Castle?” Zekanos asked as he was surprised to see Alkazar in public without the presence of either Venetia, Yram, Leonis or Zalde.
“I am on official business for the ruler of Zerros,” Alkazar sternly replied.
“What could be so important? I haven’t seen you in a very long time, and you put your business for Venetia ahead of me,” Zekanos said as he chuckled.
“Mind your words Zekanos,” Alkazar said to him.
“I am sorry for that, please send my apologies to our great ruler as well, or perhaps I should visit the Grand Castle myself to apologize in person,” Zekanos replied.
“No, there is no need for that, our ruler is not available right now,” Alkazar said.
“Very well then, where are you off to?” Zekanos asked.
“None of your business Zekanos, now please leave me alone and carry on,” Alkazar said to him, and Zekanos stopped following Alkazar and headed north while Alkazar continued northeast to meet the leaders of the royal guards.
As Alkazar arrived at the house of the royal guards, he entered the foyer, and everyone stood at attention and greeted him, “Alkazar, we didn’t know you were coming, if we knew we would have sent out riders to greet you, I sincerely apologize,” Trepoid said.
Trepoid was one of the leaders of the royal guard and was always eager to please Alkazar and Venetia. Among everyone in Zerros, he was an avid believer in the laws of Zerros. He was always ready to fight for Venetia mostly because it was his duty and also because of the fact that when he was created, Alkazar chose him to be one of the leaders of the royal guard and perhaps one day replace Alkazar as the guardian of the ruler of Zerros.
“No apologies required Trepoid, our great ruler has made a
decision and there is much work to do. Gather the rest of the leaders and meet me in the main hall at once,” Alkazar said, and with that, he left to go to the main hall while Trepoid went to find the rest of the leaders and bring them to Alkazar.
As Alkazar walked towards the main hall, he thought of how he was going to break the news of destroying the universe known as the Xerrolux – which was where earth resided – to the royal guards. He pondered on that thought for a moment and wished that Venetia didn’t make that fateful decision, for although on the outside Alkazar was fierce and ready to defend Venetia as was his duty; on the inside he wasn’t as fierce as he showed on the outside. As he continued in his thoughts of destroying the Xerrolux and giving the word to the royal guards to begin preparations, he knew that many of them, even though it was their duty, would have a hard time understanding the reasons for such drastic actions.
As Alkazar already knew, many of the current royal guards had a hand in building our great universe known as the Xerrolux as well as initially helping to look after earth and other planets, and seeing the fruits of their labor being destroyed would not sit well with them. But the decision was already made, although, for a breach of protocol such as this, the decision to destroy the universe was quite harsh given that there were other options that Venetia could have chosen in order to correct the problem.
Finally, Alkazar made his way to the great hall and as he sat and looked out towards the edge of Zerros he wished that he could be there right now. He wished that he was a droplet of water in the Ocean of Eternity ready to be reborn into the fountain of life, but those days were long gone, and not long after the current clan – which was Venetia’s clan – took power and began its rule of Zerros did the fountain of life no longer create life on Zerros.
He then heard the voices of the leaders of the royal guards coming towards the main hall and seated himself at the head of the table; then as they entered, they all greeted Alkazar and began seating themselves awaiting to hear what brought the great Alkazar to the house of the royal guards on such short notice.
