Another round of irritating pounding and rattling the doorknob before he hollers, “Get up before I come in.”

“Okay, maybe killing him isn’t a bad idea,” I reply, changing my mind quickly.

“I heard that. No killing Chaz. Chaz is fabulous. Now get up, take a shower, and get dressed. We got things to do, people to see, and to do that you two need to get the hell out of bed,” he gripes. I think Chaz might actually be annoyed with us. He’s taking his brother duties a little too seriously.

“Ugg,” I shout, sitting up, wishing I had something to throw at the door.

“Come on, firecracker. We kind of owe him, so he’s allowed to be a little annoying.

I hate that he’s right. Between our fucking sessions, he told me how Chaz tracked his ass down at the bar and talked some sense into him by telling him his story. He didn’t want to betray me. It had to be Justin’s decision to come after me, so he didn’t let him know the reasons why I was marrying Drew until they were already on his private jet on the way to New York.

“Fine,” I huff, but this debt has limitations. Standing and lying down getting dicked down are two different rodeos, so when I get to my feet, I nearly tip over like a teapot. Luckily, Justin was there to steady my wobbly legs. “Holy shit. Now I see where the term of walking funny after good sex comes from.”

“Sorry, not sorry,” he laughs, clearly amused.

I want to slap him, but I’m barely holding myself up. Taking pity on me, he picks me up and carries me, setting me down once we’re in the shower. As soon as the warm water hits my skin, I moan in pure bliss. I’m so damn sore. We’re both a fucking mess. I’m sure my hair resembles a haystack and I have two day old makeup caked on my face. My body is littered with little reminders from Justin, my pussy engorged and raw. Yeah, maybe putting his dick on timeout is a good idea. At least until we’ve healed.

He didn't come out unscaved either. His dark hair is all over the place, but still sexy as hell because it was my fingers that’s been running through it. There's a blossom of hickeys all over his neck and chest and a couple on his hip bone. On his back are claw marks. Shit, I may have gotten a little carried away. “A little?” Shelly taunts.

“Okay a lot, but damn! That man can fuck.” Even now, his cock is hard, pointing straight at me as if it’s saying ‘I choose you’. Dropping to my knees, I take him in my mouth and he groans, “Fuck, firecracker.” Leaning forward with his back muscles taut and all so sexy, he’s quite the picture. One hand braces the wall of the shower while the other threads through my hair. The water from the shower head pelts down on me, and I work his cock up and down my throat, loving how much of an effect I have on him.

“I thought you were putting him on timeout?” Shelly snickers.

“Shut up and mind your business, smartass.”

It doesn’t take me long to get him to the edge and he cums with a loud roar in my mouth. I gobble him down, loving the taste of him on my tongue. Justin’s cum is addicting wherever he decides to leave it and each time I crave for more. Justin was right. I am a sex addict, but my addiction only includes him.

“Let's get you clean,” he says, helping me up.

I let him pamper me, soaping my body with my coconut body wash as he gently washes me, taking extra care with every love mark and sore spot on my body. When he’s done with me, he washes himself before turning the water off and wrapping me with a fluffy towel.

With a serious look on his face, he turns to me, peaking my interest. “I love you. I didn’t want to say it while we were making love, but I fucking love you more than anything in this world and I meant everything I said when I proposed to you. I want you to be my wife. Today, if we can make that happen.”

“Wait! What?” I’m shocked. Not because I don’t want to be his wife, quite the opposite actually. He doesn’t have to do this. I’m not Andrew Chatworth’s wife. He saved me from making one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Saved me from myself. He has no obligations to marry me, but here he is.

Mistaking my silence, his face falls. “You don’t want to marry me? I mean I get it if you’re scared. That experience with your ex would cause anyone to be wary and have PTSD, but I’m not looking for you to do anything for me. I love you for who you are. All five of you.”

Tears spring to my eyes and I want to cry like a baby. “Shh,” I say, putting my finger to his lips. “It’s not that. Of course I want to marry you. I’m just surprised that you still want me after everything I put you through.”

“Firecracker, I already told you, I’ll want you until the end of my days.” He kisses me and I fall into his lips.

“Yes, love, I’ll marry you. Today!”

“Neither of you are going to get to do anything if you don’t get dressed,” Chaz sings. What the hell? Is he still at the door?

“Stop eavesdropping, you perv?” I shout through the door, outraged.

“Thin walls,” he replies, before I hear him whistle, making his way down the hall.

Justin leaves to change. Chaz stored his suitcase and garment bag holding his suits in one of the guest rooms without me knowing. Apparently, Justin being a wedding crasher was a joint effort.

I take my time choosing what to wear. If we are able to get married today, I want to look nice. Unlike with Drew, I’m not trying to wear a statement dress. This is all so sudden, but right at the same time. I’m not under any delusions that we will be getting married at some grand venue like with the church Drew chose. I know women who dream of an elegant church wedding and a grand reception at the Four Seasons, but as long as I get to marry Justin, I don’t really care where we say our vows.

After I get dressed in a chic Christian Dior knee length, white lace boho dress with an open back and a stunning pair of stiletto boots, I open the door to an impatient Chaz to do my hair.

“You know, you could have just come in. It’s not like you have never seen me naked before,” I point out.

“It’s different now. We’re blood siblings. I take my job very seriously.”

“Whatever you say,” I snark, rolling my eyes.

“Don’t be such a brat or I’ll let you get married with two-day old sex hair. Did you two even come up for air? This room smells like a brothel.”

“One did, consisting of Justin and I,” I laugh before fighting back a moan while my mind has flashbacks of the fun times Justin and I had in here. “Don’t forget about us. We were definitely active participants,” Shelly says smugly.

“Yes, how can I forget? It was your bright idea to use the hula-hoop we found in the back of Chaz’s closet while riding Justin’s dick. Speaking of which.”

“I don’t think you want your hula-hoop back,” I tell Chaz as I try to keep a straight face.

“Oh, hunny, I don’t even want to know what you used it for. In fact, you can burn it.”

“Why on earth did you even have one in the first place?” I ask, curious. I’ve been curious since I first found it while unpacking my things when I first came here, but never got around to asking him about it.

“It was a prop at some event my ex and I put on to raise money for a new wing in the hospital he interned in and now works for.”

“Oh.” I mean what else can I say?

Reading my silence, he sighs loudly before muttering, “Don’t worry about it. He’s old news now.”

That’s a total lie, but I’m not going to push him. I know his ex hurt him deeply. Justin mentioned something happened between them recently while he’s been here in New York, but out of respect for Chaz he didn’t delve into it. I know I could always ask myself and he’ll be open with me, but I rather not upset him. Today is supposed to be a good day and he seems content to ignore his problems. I was the same way, so who am I to judge?

“You know I’m here for you right?” I can’t help saying. It’s important to me that he knows I’ll always be here. I owe him a lot. In such a short time he has become important to me. One of the few I’d die for.

“Of course I do. When I’m ready to talk about it I will. I’m just not there yet. Now lets tame this beast you call hair. We have a very important date to make.

A little over an hour later we’re at the courthouse waiting to fill out an application for a marriage license. A friend of Chaz’s was able to hook us up and we’ll be able to skip the time it takes to process and have the Justice of the Peace marry us straight away.

This is so crazy. I just walked out on a wedding a couple of days ago, but in my heart I know this is right. What’s right for us. I’m not exactly walking the sane line, so it makes perfect sense to get married in such an insane way. My only regret is that my brother and Paige aren’t here. When Harrison finds out he’s going to murder us. “Maybe you two should do a honeymoon out of the country, you know, until he cools down and the coast is clear to come back,” Sophia suggests.

“You know Harrison. He’s never going to cool down. It’s not just getting married without him being here that he’ll be pissed about. Hell won’t even be able to contain his fury once he finds out I married Justin. I doubt Paige told him we were dating or I would have heard from him by now.”

“Who cares?” Fuck it Nancy growls. “We’re grown. We’re not the little girl with dark pigtails he swore to protect at Dad’s funeral. It’s none of his damn business who we marry. So, he’ll be livid for a while. He’ll have to get over it. We almost lost Justin and it damn near killed us. If big bro can’t understand that then who needs him.”

“Here, here,” Gloria cheers while the others take up real estate in my head, nodding in agreement.

That’s the most I’ve ever heard Nancy say the whole time she has been in my head, and I can’t argue with her logic. After my brother hears what all went down between me and Drew and how Justin and I fell in love, and he still doesn’t approve of us then he doesn’t deserve to be in my life. He can’t keep using what happened between Justin and Paige as a strike against Justin. I haven’t. I was willing to give him a chance, so should he.

“What’s wrong, firecracker? We can do this later if you’re not ready,” Justin says, misreading the look on my face. I can tell it pained him to say it, but he’ll never let me go forward with anything I’m not ready for.

“No, God no.” Pulling his hand into mine, I kiss his knuckles, tenderly. I love you. I’m in love with you. I want nothing more than to be. Brooklyn Kathyrn… What's your last name again? I laugh, realizing I’m about to marry him without even knowing what his last name is.

“Anderson,” he says, filling in the blanks.

“I want nothing more than to be Brooklyn Kathyrn Anderson until the rest of my days.”

“Then what’s with the long face?” he asks, frowning.

“I was thinking about my brother. Don’t get it twisted. I’m overjoyed we’re getting married, but a small part of me, the part where that would love to have her big brother beside her so he can walk her down the aisle, is a teeny bit upset he’s not here, and I may be feeling a tad bit guilty.”

“It’s not too late. We can always go back and plan a real wedding. Whatever you want. If you want some grand affair or a tiny get-together, it doesn’t matter. The sky’s the limit. It doesn’t matter how I marry you, just that I marry you and can call you my wife. “Aww,” Sophia coos in my head. “Yeah, sister, I hear you. I’m just as love drunk.”

“Well, it’s your lucky day, because I’ll be marrying you, today, in the Big Apple. Sure it bums me out that Harrison won’t be here, but it’s not the end of the world. We can always have another ceremony later on with all our friends and family present. Besides, Harrison is going to need some time to get used to the idea of us being together. An eight hour flight is not nearly enough.”

“Okay, If that’s what you want,” he hedges, giving me a chance to backtrack. But there’s no need. I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life.

“Of course it is. Now stop worrying before I take it as you’re having cold feet.” And just to convince him otherwise, I lay a heated kiss on his tender lips to help thaw him out.

“We’re up. Are you two love birds ready?” Chaz says, breaking our moment.

“As ready as we’ll ever be,” I tell him, smiling. “Let's do this.”

Using the courthouse computers, it doesn’t take long for us to fill out our information for the wedding license. It’s a good thing I asked what Justin’s last name is because I needed it since I’m taking on his last name. None of that hyphenated business. I’m giving myself completely over to Justin.

“I have my lawyer on stand-by just in case you guys want to do a prenup,” Chaz says, offhandedly as he stands there behind us, casually buffing his nails. You can take the man out of the salon, not the salon out of the man. I totally made that shit up.

I didn’t think about that. I know Chaz only mentioned it to keep us informed and had no other nefarious reason. I’m not working right now and even before then, Justin’s business raked in more than I could ever dream of bringing in. It’s a hugely successful multimillion dollar network. Yes, I Googled his ass. Sorry not sorry. But I only did it because I was curious about him. I have a trust, but even adding that to the equation, he's still wealthier than me and New York is a half state. Meaning..? If the unthinkable happens and we were to get a divorce, half of everything he owns would be mine.

“I’m fine with not doing a prenup if you are,” Justin replies, all blaise like. He could care less, but he should. It’s not like I’m marrying him for his money, but he should be more responsible. It’s the smart, adult thing to do.

“Are you sure? I wouldn’t be offended if you asked me to sign one.”

“Firecracker, I’m sure. I know you’re not like that. I trust you.”

“Well alrighty then. Let's get this show on the road,” Chaz chimes in, herding us down the hall.

We step into one of the court rooms and I hold onto Justin’s hand tightly as my nerves set in. “Are we really doing this?” I ask none of my personalities in particular. I don’t think I was this nervous when marrying Andrew. “That’s because Drew was an asshole and an idiot. We really care for Justin,” Nancy answers.

“That’s true, but he did come through at the end,” I remind them.

“Fuck that. We would have ditched his ass with or without his permission. As soon as Justin came for us it was, Game Over!” Right again. Nancy has been on it, but a teeny-tiny, better left in the dark side of me actually forgives Drew. Yeah, he put me through hell, and it was last minute, but he did let me go. Better late than never right?

I miss whatever is said by the judge. It isn’t until Justin is sliding a huge ass ruby ring surrounded by tiny diamonds and a slim gold band on my finger do I snap out of my head. Well hello there. Where did you come from? It’s magnificent, a masterpiece. Totally me. And fits me perfectly. Did he or Chaz measure my finger in my sleep or something? This ring is perfect, definitely something I would have chosen for myself, you know if I had an unlimited bank account, and were browsing for my dream ring. God, Justin just gets me. “Fuck diamonds, rubies are this girl’s bestfriend,” Shelly murmurs appreciatively.

“I’ll second that,” I tell her.

“Justin Kennedy Anderson, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, through richer or poorer, in sickness or health, to love and cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?”

“I do,” he replies in a loud clear voice before bringing my ring finger to his lips and kissing it. I’m transfixed. Totally under his spell and you know what? There isn’t anywhere else I want to be.

Once we let go, Chaz hands me a thick solid gold band for Justin. After I take the same vow, I slide the ring on his finger with a giddy smile. I wonder when he had time to go ring shopping between our sexexpades? “Who cares,” Sophia whispers excitedly.

“By the power invested in me and the state of New York, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may now ki
ss your bride.” And kiss he does. Justin managed to wed me, knock me off my feet, and take my breath away all at the same time.

“So, how does it feel to be Brooklyn Anderson?” Chaz asks as soon as we step outside the courthouse. It may be cold as shit out, but it’s sunny and clear, the sky a perfect blue. I couldn’t think of a better day to marry Justin.

“It feels great. I can’t help the giddy smile on my face. In fact, it’s probably going to be there for a long while. It's been a long time since I was this damn happy.

“Cartwright is that you?” an older guy calls from the top of the stairs.

“Carliton, it’s been a while. Hold on, sugar buns, I’ll be one sec,” Chaz says, moving to greet the man so he doesn’t have to walkover to us.

While they’re talking, I step down the rest of the stairs to wait on Justin to bring the car around so that I don’t accidentally slip on the melted snow and salt crystals littering the cement stairs. It would be just my luck to slip and fall and be in a full-body cast for my honeymoon. That does not sound like a good time. “Plaster is not sexy,” Shelly adds.

  “No shit,” I tell her.

I wonder where we’re going for our honeymoon. Justin said it’s a surprise and Chaz went traitor and is being pretty tight-lipped about it. I hope it’s somewhere warm. I’ve already had enough of the cold and snow and it just started here. I’m sure all through January it’s only going to get worse. I’d also like to be out of the country when I tell Harrison I’m married to Justin. California is not enough distance between us.

“I thought the red dress you wore was something, but you look absolutely ravishing in white.” My head snaps at his voice, my eyes narrowed. Immediately I go on alert, standing rigid and unafraid.

“What the fuck are you doing here Nathaniel?” I hiss.

“Is that anyway to greet a friend,” he replies, unbothered by my reception. Of course, he’s not bothered. He thinks he's the king of the world and can walk around doing whatever he pleases. “Rich prick,” Nancy mutters, and I for once I wish someone else could hear the voices in my head.
