If I Was Your Woman 3: A BBW Camden Love Story Page 11

“Now y'all know she don't like no smoking in front of her house,” I said shaking my head at the men. Standing there was Mark, Mega, Chris, Terrence and a handsome man I’d never seen before. As fine as he was trust me, I would have noticed him around.

“What, you gonna tell on us?” the stranger said.

“I might!” I snapped in a playful manner.

“Oh you feisty, I like that shit,” he said with a smirk as we continued to go back and forth while the men stared at us.

“Who you anyways?” the sexy stranger asked.

“I should be asking you the same thing.”

“This my auntie house. So again, I ask who you?” he said surprising me. All the years Kasan and I have known each other, I never once met anyone he was related to. Looking over at Mark, he had the biggest smirk on his face which pissed me off. I prayed he wasn't actually related to them.

“Well, I’m like family,” I said before walking away and into the house. As I walked away I could feel his eyes on my ass. Although a part of me felt like shit for flirting with Kasan’s cousin in front of everyone, another part of me felt good.

“Aww, look at my baby!” Mama Betty said hugging me.

“Hey Mama, you know them niggas out front smoking weed on ya porch,” I whispered while hugging her.

“Them niggas got me fucked up!” she said before rushing outside.

As I stood listening to her curse them all out, I watched as they walked into the house smelling like skunks and looking like five-year-old boys who just got in trouble. The sexy stranger was the last to walk by. Leaning towards me I could feel his lips brush against my ear.

“You know you too beautiful to be a snitch,” he whispered with a smirk before walking away.

My panties dripped with each word he spoke. His swag was out of this world. Walking into the kitchen I searched for Camille. When I found her she was sitting down talking to Shana.

“Bitch, who is that dude?” I said a little too loud.

  “What dude?” she asked.

“Bitch, the only one here that I don't know,” I whispered.

“Oh you talkin’ about Marquese,” she said nonchalantly.

“Yeah, who is he related to?” I asked.

“He grew up with Mark. They were best friends, he just came home.”

“So he not really related to Kasan?”

“Hell naw, they was never close,” she said.

“Oh okay,” I said grabbing a piece of cornbread.

“Uh-huh bitch, why you ask that?”

“Ain't no missing that he’s fine as hell,” I said staring at him from the kitchen as he played spades with the men. This nigga was fine. Standing at about 6’5 and weighing around 250 lbs, jail obviously did his body right. He had midnight skin that glistened and a set of white, beautiful teeth.

“Girl, he a whole hoe and got a bunch of damn kids.”

“I don't want him. I mean look at me, I'm about to bust,” I said laughing.

“Bitch, you could've fooled me the way ya pregnant ass came running in here,” Shana said laughing.

“Mind ya business,” I said before throwing a piece of cornbread at her forehead.

As we sat in the kitchen talking about the men and laughing, Camille walked out to see what Chris and the kids were doing. She was gone for a good ten minutes before she came running into the kitchen looking mad as hell.

  “What's wrong?” Shana asked.

“Bitch, you ain't gonna believe who just walked up in here.”

  “Who?” I asked, confused.

  “Kasan.”

“I ain't worried about that man. This his mom’s house so I kinda figured he would be here.”

“It ain't that he’s here, but who he came with,” she said.

Tired of Camille talking in circles, I got up and peeked into the living room. I was beyond surprised to see Kasan holding hands with the same bitch from the doctor’s office. I turned around, walked back into the kitchen and sat down. The crazy part was as much as I wanted to be angry, I wasn't. I was more so hurt that he would bring some unknown, nondescript ass bitch to a family function that I’m sure he knew I would be at.

  “You alright?” Shana asked.

  “Yeah, I'm good,” I lied.

  “You sure?” Camille asked.

“Yeah, we ain't been together for months, so I can’t expect him to never have a girlfriend,” I said nonchalantly.

As we sat in the kitchen, Mama Betty walked in and she didn't look happy, just like Camille and Shana didn't.

“I can't believe this nigga brought some random bitch in my house,” she fussed.

Before she could finish talking, in walked Kasan and his new little girlfriend. I would be lying if I said the bitch didn't have a little body on her, but she wasn't too easy on the eyes.

“Hey, Ma,” he said with the girl still holding his hand. As he looked around the kitchen, his eyes landed on mine and all I could see was pure shock.

“Boy, go on talking to me,” she replied rolling her eyes.

“Hi, I’ve heard so much about you, I'm Taylor,” she said reaching out to hug Mama Betty, only to have Mama Betty swerve her ass.

“Oh no sweetie, I don't hug strangers. You’ve heard so much about me, but I can't say the same,” she said before giving Kasan the evil eye.

“Ma, stop acting like that,” Kasan said. Shit was awkward as we all stood silently in the kitchen.

“You can't be mad at ya mom for not entertaining some random,” Camille said with a laugh.

“Random…. I am very known sweetie,” Taylor said smartly.

“Known by who? Mama Betty don't know you, I ain't never heard of you, and neither has anyone else in this house, so SWEETIE, you are a random.”

“I'm not sure why you haven't heard of me, me and your son have been dating for a few months now,” she said, ignoring Camille and staking her claim like a fucking dog. She then looked in my direction and gave me a smirk on the low. You could cut the tension with a knife that’s how thick it was, so I was happy when Marquese walked into the kitchen.

“Dinner is ready,” Mama Betty said to Marquese.

“Oh, I came to see where the sexy snitch was,” he said staring a hole through me.

“Why you looking for me?” I asked with a smirk.

“How my baby doing?” Kasan interrupted, walking over to me and rubbing my stomach. He was doing the same shit that bitch of his tried to do, stake his claim, but lucky for me I was no longer his.

“Oh, this you?” Marquese asked surprised.

“Hell naw I ain't his, but he is my baby daddy,” I said shaking my head.

“Yeah, Kasan is my man,” Taylor said grabbing Kasan’s arm.

Yanking his arm away, he looked as if he wanted to slap the shit out of me, Marquese and his new bitch. But instead he nodded his head and walked away.

When dinner was ready, we all sat together at the table. I was so fucking annoyed and every part of me wanted to get up and slap him and his bitch. I felt like he was genuinely surprised to see me there, but even still, why would he bring this bitch to a family function unless shit was serious with them? As mad and as hurt as I was, I refused to give either of them the satisfaction of seeing me off my A-game.

“Your house is beautiful, Mama Betty,” Taylor said.

“Just call me Ms. Betty, and thank you,” she replied causing all of us to laugh.

“Shante, why aren't you eating?” Mama Betty asked.

“This boy got my stomach so tight I can't fit anything in here.”

“You gotta eat though, Tae baby,” Kasan said.

Rolling my eyes and ignoring him, I focused my attention back onto Mama Betty. This nigga’s voice was making my ass itch.

“You having a little soldier, huh?” Marquese said.

“Yeah, I'm having a baby boy,” I said smiling, rubbing my stomach.

“I'm having my junior,” Kasan added.

“Congrats nigga, but what were you thinking letting
her sexy ass go?” Marquese said shaking his head like Kasan made the biggest mistake in the world.

“Don't do that, Quese,” Mark said shaking his head.

“Naw, let the nigga speak his mind,” Kasan said, pissed.

“I'm just saying, shorty bad as hell, pregnant and all I would bag her.”

“Even knowing she’s pregnant with my lil nigga?” Kasan said flexing his jaw, something he only did when he was about to snap.

“My nigga ain't no hard feelings, you snooze you lose.”

“You not gonna fucking touch her. Don't say shit to her, bitch nigga don't acknowledge her!” Kasan said getting out of his seat.

“Fuck you getting up out ya seat for? What, you got a point to prove!”

“Yo, y'all wilding, chill the fuck out!” Mark said shaking his head.

“You telling him he can't touch or speak to me. Boy, bye. You got a whole fucking girl sitting right next to you!” I snapped.

“You taking up for this nigga? What, you wanna fuck him?” Kasan said stepping in my face.

“Kasan, get out my fucking face, go tend to ya fucking girl!”

“Man fuck her, I'm talking to you!” he said through gritted teeth.

“Fuck me, Kasan are you fucking serious? This bitch left you, you didn't even know she was pregnant, but you wanna kiss her ass!”

“I ain't gonna be too many more fucking bitches, hoe!”

“Bitch, bitch, bitch! Now what the fuck you gonna do? These niggas fighting over ya fat ass for what!”

“Uh-huh, you gotta get out my house talking to my fucking daughter-in-law like that!” Mama Betty snapped. I had honestly forgotten she was even sitting there, she was so damn quiet.

“I don't mean to disrespect you or your house, but I'm his woman and y'all need to accept that.”

“We ain't got to accept shit, ya ass need to accept that ya so-called nigga still love my bestie!” Camille told her.

“Just leave it alone,” I said grabbing Camille’s arm.

  “Naw, fuck her!”

“No, fuck you bitch!” Taylor screamed back.

I could see in Camille’s face that she was about to snap. I turned my head for a minute to make sure Kasan and Marquese weren't still arguing and when I turned back around Taylor was on the floor between Mama Betty’s dining room table and her china cabinet.

“She fucked up calling you a bitch, but she really fucked up calling me one!” Camille snapped.

I turned to see Mama Betty laughing her ass off. Kasan was pissed off as he stared at us with a disappointed face. He picked her up, threw her over his shoulder and carried her to his car.

  Chapter Eighteen (Kasan)

“Get ya ass in the car!” I snapped.

“Nigga, don't be screaming at me, you mad at ya baby mom not at me!”

“Why the fuck would you go broadcasting that you were my girl? I give you an inch and you take a mile.”

“Oh my God, you ain't never happy! You should be lucky I even agreed to go through with this bullshit.”

“Man, when I thought of the shit it didn't seem like bullshit. I thought I would bring you and she would get all jealous!”

“Well nigga, it looks like your plan backfired and she found her some sexy ass eye candy,” Taylor said trying to taunt me.

I don’t know what the fuck was wrong with me. Since when am I doing bitch shit like concocting plans to make my baby’s mom jealous? That shit ain't even in my character.

“You need to stop being in denial and accept that she doesn't want to be with you anymore,” she said while popping her fucking gum in the passenger's seat.

I swear, if this bitch’s head wasn't A1 I'm not sure what my reason would be to keep her around.

“Taylor, just stop talking a’ight, I don't need your advice. I mean shit, when the last time your ass had a man?”

“Nigga, fuck you. I thought you was my man.”

“And why would you think that, was it because you never been to my house, or because I never claimed you? Listen, you knew what it was when you got involved with a nigga.”

“Whatever! That don't mean I ain't gonna continue trying to change ya mind. I wanted to know if you wanted to come over for dinner tomorrow night.”

  “Where we going?”

“You gonna stay at my house.”

“What we gonna eat?” I asked, confused as hell. I never saw this chick cook.

“I’ma cook you a banging ass homemade dinner!” she said hyped as hell.

“A’ight then, I’ll be here around eight,” I said before pulling up to her house.

“You coming in?” she asked while rubbing my leg.

  “Naw, I'm tired as hell.”

  “A’ight then,” she said pouting.

When she got inside I pulled off. The entire ride back to my crib I couldn't help but think about what the fuck was going on between Shante and that nigga. I pulled my phone out to call Mark.

“What’s up cousin?” he said when he answered.

“I'm pulling up to your crib.”

“I’ll meet you outside,” he said which was weird as hell to me.

When I pulled up I noticed Shante’s car parked outside of their house which wasn't weird at all so I let it go.

“Man, that shit was fucked up,” Mark said dapping me up.

“I know that’s ya fucking boy, but he gonna end up dead fucking with what’s mine.”

“That nigga grown as hell, and y'all ain't been together for a while. I mean, what the fuck was I supposed to say?”

“You should’ve told him Tae baby was off limits!”

“You got a fucking girl, you obviously ain't checking for her,” Mark said.

“Oh and he is? My nigga, you don't remember how that nigga was before he got locked up!”

“‘Yeah I remember, but he ain't like that no more. You really think I would let him hurt Shante? She like family to me.”

“Man fuck all that, you my blood.”

“I'm your blood, so listen when I tell you to let this shit go, you fucked up cuz.”

“Fuck you!” I snapped before walking away and pulling off.

  ******

The next morning I went over to Shante’s house to see if she needed anything. Instead of knocking I used my key. When I walked in I surprised to hear her laughter. Not some regular laughter, but the same laughter she had when we were together. When I heard a nigga’s voice that shit put me in beast most. I pulled out my gun and walked towards her closed bedroom door, knocking on the door with my gun. I could hear Shante whispering before pulling the door open.

“Who the fuck you in here with?” I said looking past her only to find that nigga Quese sitting on her bed with a smirk.

“Nigga, didn't we have this talk last night?”

“Kasan, give me my damn key!” she snapped.

“You gave me this key for emergencies and now you want it back?”

“Did you just use it for an emergency, Kasan? Hell no, so give it back!”

“You really doing this? You fucking pregnant!”

“I’m pregnant and you brought some bitch to ya mama house, but I guess because I'm the one carrying the baby I can't have no friends, huh?” she snapped with her hands on her wide hips.

“Exactly, now tell this nigga to go about his business before there’s bloodshed!” I said through gritted teeth.

“Marquese, can you please go? I will call you later after I deal with this,” she said pissing me off. What the fuck was she gonna be calling that nigga for later.

“You sure you don't need me?” he asked.

“Nigga, she sure!” I said walking into the living room and holding the door open for this nigga.

“A’ight nigga, you got it,” Marquese said laughing before walking out the door.

“You done lost ya fucking mind!” Shante snapped.

“Naw, I'm good. You the one tripping.”

“Nigga, you got a whole girlfriend, but you coming around her
e running niggas off and shit!”

“I don't have a girlfriend, Taylor is my friend.”

“Who you tryna kid, Kasan? That girl introduced herself as your woman. I ended shit with you so I'm not even mad, but what you won’t do is continue to run niggas away from me.”

“So you really feeling this nigga, huh?”

“I like him he’s cool, but it’s not that serious, I just met the man.”

“Look, we haven't had the chance to talk about what went down.”

“Kasan, we've talked about it enough.”

“Can you just hear me out for a minute?”

  “Alright…..”

“I know for a fact I handled shit wrong. When I first figured out she did that shit I went to kill her, but I wasn't expecting her to tell me she was pregnant with my child. I didn't know what to do, but after the fake pregnancy and than ya abortion, I guess I wanted a seed so bad I didn't think smart. When I went to kill her I found out she had disappeared. When I made it back home I found her daughter on my door step. I'm not making excuses for the shit I’ve done because I was wrong, but I don't want you thinking I don't love you or that I won’t protect you. If forced to choose, my choice will always and forever be you,” I said honestly.

When I finished talking tears were falling from her eyes and she was shivering.

“You hurt me so bad,” she said through tears.

“I know, and I will spend the rest of my life making this up to you if I have to.”

“I just can't do this right now. I'm not ready, but I forgive you, Kasan.”

“I love you, Tae baby,” I said kissing her forehead.

“I love you too, but you gotta go,” she said wiping her tears with a laugh.

“Damn, you just gonna kick a nigga out?” I said sounding hurt.

“You know how long it’s been since I got some dick? And on top of that, I'm hormonal and pregnant.”

“I mean, I can help you handle that,” I said trying my luck.

“Naw nigga, I’ll pass,” she said laughing.

“So am I still the only one?” I asked.

“Wouldn't you like to know……,” she said with a smirk.

“Stop fucking playing with me,” I said before putting her legs on my lap and rubbing her swollen feet.

“So you ready for this baby?” I asked her.
