Pulling up to the trap house that was currently empty, Peanut got out and went inside. He checked on shit while he waited for Coco to arrive. She pulled up about fifteen minutes later and walked in with a pink crop top and blue jean shorts. “Them panties or shorts?” Peanut asked her while laughing when he opened the door.

“Whatever, you know you like it,” Coco replied seductively while licking her lips. “Why you got plastic all on the floor in here?” she nosily asked, but he ignored her and slapped her on the ass when she walked by. Peanut followed behind her and sat down beside her on the couch.

“So, what’s good wit you, ma?” he asked while rubbing her thigh. Coco began to run down everything she had soaked up from Jay, and Peanut listened intently.

“That’s a fuck nigga, no doubt,” Peanut said after she finished talking. He learned that Jamal wanted Coco to set Smoke up. The doubts Peanut had before were no longer a problem; he knew he had to dispose of Coco because she was a liability. He knew that Jay would eventually kill her, but he couldn’t take the chance of him persuading her to follow through with his grand idea.

Peanut pulled Coco onto his lap and pulled her shirt over her head, exposing her black push-up bra from Victoria’s Secret. After he pulled her bra off, he pinched both of her nipples and she squirmed. “Umm… yaahhhsss daddy,” Coco said as he sucked one of breasts and continued teasing the other one with his hand. When he finished teasing her breasts, in his mind, he said what the hell and flipped her over and removed her short ass shorts. She helped him by raising her hips and giving him access to slide them off, along with her black lace thong. Peanut dove head first into her pussy and had her climbing the walls. He ate her to perfection because he knew some fire head would soon follow.

Just as he thought, he didn’t even have to ask. As soon as he got up and sat down, Coco pulled his dick out and went to work. Slobbing on it while talking shit was turning him on. “You like that?” she whimpered between slurps.

“Hell fucking yeah!” he replied. He felt himself about to nut, but he wanted some pussy first, so he told her to come sit on his dick. Just as she was about to hop on, he remembered to grab a condom out of his wallet and roll it on. I ain’t worried bout her having my baby, but I don’t want my dick sick, he laughed to himself.

Coco rode his dick like a pro and the shit felt good to both of them. “Yeesss… you feel so good,” Coco cried out as she bounced up and down on his hard dick. Peanut grabbed something from under the pillow beside him while Coco’s eyes were closed, then raised up and flipped her onto her back on the floor. He deep stroked her and had her moaning. “Loyalty means everything ma!” Peanut grunted as he bust his nut.

“What you say baby?” Coco asked while panting. Peanut repeated himself, then sliced her neck with the box cutter that was in his hand.

“Loyalty means everything! You were loyal to Jay at one point; it was only a matter of time before you turned on me,” Peanut shamelessly growled while watching her bleed to death.

  Chapter 30

It had been three days since Jay last saw Coco, and he hadn’t heard from her since. He had a strange feeling because the only thing he really remembered was meeting her at Sky Lounge and kicking it. He recalled her giving him head under the table and waking up in the hotel they frequented the next morning with a note from her saying she had caught an Uber to get her car because she had some errands to run. It wasn’t unusual for them to go a couple of days without talking, but it was very unusual for him to call and text her several times and not get a response. “Where the fuck this bitch at?” he asked himself. “You can have all of the shit in the left closet,” Jay told the part time housekeeper he staffed, speaking about Brooklyn’s things. He never checked on her and didn’t know whether she was dead or alive. It was only a matter of time before he finished the job if his last attempt was unsuccessful. “Lock up when you leave!” Jay yelled to the housekeeper while grabbing his keys and heading out of the door.

About forty minutes later, he was pulling up to the trap house for his weekly meeting. He was late on purpose. One of these niggas wasn’t going to make it to see the next day just because Jay was trigger happy and pissed off. Flint had hit him up and told him he was about to roll up on Smoke a few days ago, but he hadn’t heard back from that nigga either. It seemed like everybody around him was disappearing. He felt like being extra and shit, so he kicked in the door and caused everyone to draw their weapons. “I wish one of you niggas would muthafuckin shoot me,” Jay begged as he stared at each of his men. When his eyes hit the floor, he said, “What the fuck is this?”

A body was rolled up in plastic and lying in the middle of the floor. “I called and texted you, man, but you never hit me back,” Red readily replied to Jay. It was true; he didn’t feel like hitting him back because he knew that he would see him soon. When Jay walked closer, he noticed the body belonged to Coco and all he said was damn. “How the fuck did this happen?” Jay furiously asked.

“This shit was like this when we walked in,” one of his soldiers spoke up and said.

  “So, y’all-”

RATATATAT! RATATATAT! RATATATAT! The sounds of machine guns blasting cut Jay’s words off. The gunfire was so extreme; neither of them could do anything besides duck for cover. When it got silent, Jay was the first one to jump up and immediately began screaming. “WHAT THE MUTHAFUCK? NIGGAS SHOOTING AT OUR SHIT AND Y’ALL JUST GON BOW DOWN? THE FUCK Y’ALL DOING?” he screamed. Everyone looked at him like he was crazy, when he just hopped his ass up off of the floor too.

“KILL THAT MUTHAFUCKA TODAY AND DO SOMETHING WITH THAT GOT DAMN BODY!!” Jay said irately and stormed out of the house. No one moved because they were all sick of his shit. Dialing Brooklyn’s cellphone number, Jay looked down at the phone when he got a recording telling him that the number had been changed or disconnected. Jay felt like he was losing control, and he was getting more and more pissed off as each second passed. His phone rang and an unidentified number popped. “Yeah!” he answered, not bothering to hide his anger.

“Well damn! Jay, this Shonta. Have you talked to Coco; she ain’t answering her phone,” she said to him with an attitude that matched his. Jay paused for a second before responding to her.

“I been calling her ass too. I don’t know what the fuck she got going on but, if you talk to her, tell her she better get up with me ASAP!” Jay scolded Shonta and hung up before she could say anything else. Jay was riding around fucking pissed off, dazed, and confused, with no clear destination in mind. He told himself that he needed to find Brooklyn’s trifling ass, so headed towards the hospital.

Reaching the hospital, Jay walked up to the information desk and asked for Brooklyn McDonald’s room number. The receptionist was on the phone and was ignoring his rudeness, so he reached across the desk and snatched the phone from her and hung it up. “I said I need Brooklyn McDonald’s room number!” he demanded. The nervousness was etched on the receptionist’s face as she started typing into the computer. A red box with a warning label popped up after Brooklyn’s name was typed in, and the girl was supposed to call security. Jay had her so terrified that she told him the name wasn’t coming up in the system. She didn’t want to be on the other end of his wrath if the police hauled him off while she was sitting there. A warrant had been issued for his arrest for assault and attempted murder. Jay sensed that there was more to the story but, when he saw security getting off of the elevator, he decided it would be best for him to leave.

Jay decided to drive by Brook’s old apartment and see if she was there. He had his mind set on finding her soon. In his mind, he figured if Coco was dead, then Brook most likely had been setting him up all along. He pulled up to the building, got out, and went to Brook’s old apartment. He heard the locks clicking a few seconds after he knocked and he put his hand on his gun. “You early,” the girl said when she opened the door, expecting to see her best friend. “Who are you?” she asked when she noticed Jay.

  “Is Brooklyn
here?” he asked, ignoring her question.

“I don’t know who the fuck Brooklyn is,” the girl said and tried to slam the door in his face. Jay put his foot in the door and stopped it from closing.

“You sure you don’t? This is her apartment,” Jay said.

“Nigga, I been living in this apartment for two months and I don’t know no damn Brooklyn,” the girl replied angrily, even though she was a little scared of Jay, but she would never let her fear show. Jay stared her down and finally turned around and left. He heard the locks click as soon as the girl closed the door. He got back in his truck and tried to figure out what the hell was really going on. He needed to know if Brook was using him and tried to set him up.

“Nah, my head is just fucked up right now. I need to chill the fuck out,” he told himself and drove off, heading towards his house.

  Chapter 31

Kamora finally agreed to let D’Mani attend summer camp with his friends. She felt like it was time for him to get back into his normal routine, and she also wanted to meet with Stacey since she was showing some property to a family that was only an hour away. Stacey had also sent Kamora a list of homes that she knew she would fall in love with. “I can’t leave em alone… I tried the good boy game, but the dope boy’s turning me on… It’s just that he know what I want… so bad, I love that, I can’t leave ‘em alone,” Kamora found herself singing along to Ciara’s song and had to laugh at herself while shaking her head. “I won’t have a dope boy much longer; he’ll be a reformed dope boy,” Kamora chuckled to herself while smiling and thinking about her latest conversation with her fiancé. Things were going well, but Kamora knew she wouldn’t truly have peace until Demetrius took care of what he promised her.

Pulling up to the address Stacey sent her last night, Kamora parked behind Stacey’s Audi in the driveway and admired the beautiful home. She spotted Stacey walking out with her other clients a few minutes later, and she waved for Kamora to come on. “Thank you so much for your time. My next appointment has arrived, so you two discuss everything and get back with me at your earliest convenience,” Stacey told her clients. Kamora couldn’t help but to laugh at her friend’s hustle. If those people thought others were interested in the house, they would be quicker to make a move.

“I like this house for real.” Kamora blushed as they did a walk through.

“I have something better for you and you’re gonna love it girl,” Stacey told her. They viewed the house while talking and discussing plans they were making.

“I think I’m gonna let Brook have my house,” Kamora honestly said, since she had been making plans to find a new home for her and her family.

“Where is she now anyway?” Stacey asked, genuinely concerned about her friend.

“She’s at her apartment, in the same building but in a different apartment. I went and checked on her before coming to meet you. I offered to let her stay with us, but she said she needed to be alone. She’s doing much better and the doctors said it’s a miracle,” Kamora truthfully replied.

“That was big of you to offer… it means you know deep down that the relationship she had with Demetrius was really nothing. It’s great to see you moving forward,” Stacey said and hugged Kamora.

“You sound like Nikki’s ass now,” Kamora said while chuckling. They went to lunch at Chipotle and continued catching up and discussing future plans.

  **************

“But I don’t want to. It hurt the last time,” I told my daddy. I could smell the alcohol on his breath.

“Don’t you want daddy to stay around here?” he asked me. I loved my daddy and I didn’t want him to leave. He told me if I ever disobeyed, he would leave, and I would never see him again, so I had to do everything he said to keep him around and make him happy. My mom would die if he left, and I didn’t want to make her sad, so I told him okay.

“You’re saving the family,” he told me and smiled while opening my legs.

“Why are you making me read this shit back to you?” Brook stopped reading and asked the therapist that was sitting across from her.

“It’s part of your healing process. You’re doing great to only be a few days in,” she smiled at Brook and said. Brook finally continued reading the letter she had written the night before. Kamora paid for a therapist to come to her apartment for sessions, since she didn’t want to go out and take the chance of running into Jay.

“I’m glad my mom killed him. I just hate she killed herself as well,” Brook said with tears streaming down her face after she finished reading all of the pages she wrote.

“Do you feel like everything that happened is your fault?” the therapist frankly asked.

“I use to, but not anymore. The only thing I can’t understand is why my mom took her own life,” Brook answered honestly.

“That’s something neither one of us can answer, but the most important thing for you to do is to make peace with the entire situation, which is why we are here. You’re really making great progress. For our next session, I need you to write down two things you would like to accomplish this year, and two things you would like to accomplish within the next three years,” the therapist said. Brook told her okay and showed her to the door.

Wasting no time at all, Brook grabbed her notebook and began writing down her goals. She was going to list more than two in each category because she was ready to make some positive moves. Brook was thankful that she had yet another chance to really get her life together, and she was trying to make the best of it. She was beyond grateful that she switched apartments and paid the rent up, just in case. She had a closet full of clothes also. A small part of her wanted her things from Jay’s house, but she quickly dismissed the thought when it popped into her head because there was no way she was going back there. It worked out for her. Kamora offered to let her stay with them, but Brook felt like it was time that she found her own way. Leaning on people had gotten her absolutely nowhere. Using people had turned out to be her greatest downfall, and it was time to turn her life around. She made her mind up before leaving the hospital a few days ago.

“Fuck all the dumb shit; I’m about to get my life together,” Brook said as she turned on her laptop to fill out some more applications.

  Chapter 32

  One Week Later

“So, you going out with Nikki tonight?” Demetrius asked Kamora.

“No baby! I told you I’m going out with Stacey. I’m going by Nikki’s first and D’Mani is gonna sleep over with KJ,” Kamora told him. He eyed her suspiciously.

“I need to meet Stacey. I gotta make sure she ain’t rubbing off on my baby in a bad way,” he finally said.

“Boy stop… we’re going out to dinner, then we might hit up a club. You and Peanut should roll through later,” Kamora replied while pinning her hair up and eyeing him in the mirror.

“We just might do that,” he told her.

“Great! I kinda need you to be on standby when I call,” she said to him and winked. They had just finished a steamy, hot, and sexy shower and had each other climbing the walls, but that didn’t stop his dick from getting hard again with the way she looked at him.

“Keep playing and you gon make me bend you over,” he said, then walked up to her and pulled her into his hard dick. “You see what you did?” he asked while nibbling on her left earlobe.

“Don’t you have a meeting? You better stop playing,” Kamora said while giggling and squirming to get out of his embrace. She knew he needed to be focused and she really needed to be focusing on shit herself.

“Yeah, you right, so I’ma let you make it,” he told her. Kamora gathered her bag with her changing clothes, phone, and purse, then kissed Demetrius and headed to D’Mani’s room and told him to come on. She was nervous about what was ahead and prayed that everything would go according to plan.

Kamora pulled up to Nikki’s house an hour later. An accident on 285 delayed traffic, which was why it took so long. KJ was excited as always that D’Mani was stay
ing over. He opened the front door before they could ring the doorbell. Both D’Mani and KJ took off running towards his room, headed to play video games. Kamora walked in and hugged Nikki, then sat down on the couch. Nikki’s phone chimed and she started smiling from ear to ear while reading a text message.

“Dammnnn, who got you all happy and shit?” Kamora quizzically asked Nikki.

“Chad is really something serious. He’s just the sweetest,” Nikki replied.

“I thought you wasn’t feeling Mr. Officer. I’m glad you’re moving forward honey,” Kamora told Nikki.

“Me too. Ken has finally backed off. I supposed he’s living with the white bitch, but I’m not even gonna stress over him. He fucked up and he’s the one who’s losing,” Nikki said confidently.

“I know that’s right!” Kamora confirmed.

“So, what exactly are you doing tonight?” Nikki asked while side eyeing Kamora.

“Girl, I’m going out with Stacey, remember. I’m gonna have to fill you in on everything later. That traffic put me behind schedule and I need to get a move on. It’s almost six o’clock. I’ll see you tomorrow,” Kamora said while getting up.

“Be careful girl,” Nikki said, then closed and locked her door.

“So, them niggas supposed to be meeting at their so-called special trap house today, and we going muthafuckin in!! I hope y’all ready because I sure as fuck am!” Demetrius freely expressed to his team. Today was the day they were going to send Jamal to meet his muthafuckin maker. Demetrius was upset with himself that he didn’t seek out to find him before now. In his heart, he knew he had been betrayed but, when it was confirmed, it did something to him. He couldn’t wait to put a bullet through Jamal’s muthafuckin head.
