Drew pinned her arms over her head. “What else do you like about me, Liv?” he asked, allowing his dick to glide across her clit.
“I like your strength,” she whispered, feeling his cock tease her. “I like how you make me feel. I can’t wait to feel you inside me.”
“What do you want, Liv? Tell me how to please you,” Drew said and sucked her erect nipple hard then eased and softly caressed it with his tongue.
Liv gasped. His mouth felt extraordinary. She bucked her hips up, begging. “You don’t need me to tell you. You already know.” She looked into his eyes that were glossed over with lust. “Fuck me, Drew,” she pleaded.
Drew thrust in hard. His mouth nipped at her nipple. Liv cried out. His dick stretched her wide. Her pussy griped him tight. Each time he eased out, her channel tried to hold him in place. Drew groaned and thrust in harder with additional strokes. His fingers found her swollen clit, causing Liv to squeal.
“Oh, mercy, Drew!” Liv gasped, feeling his dick impale her, her clit tingling from his stimulation while his other hand pinched her nipple.
“Come for me, Liv,” Drew whispered. Sweat beaded at his brow, and determination flashed in his eyes.
Liv yelped when his hot mouth sucked her nipple in tight, his teeth nipping. A rush surged within her, and she let go, her body jerking and contracting. Contentment overcame her, and Drew slowed down but kept invading her pussy, his hips gently smacking against her ass.
“I’m not done with you, sweetheart.” Drew grinned sinfully and eased out, his dick still standing at attention.
“Turn over on your stomach,” Drew demanded, and Liv happily complied. When she did, Drew smacked her ass with his open palm. “Such a sweet ass needs to be spanked and often,” he said then pushed a pillow under her, propping her ass up in the air. “Don’t move,” he warned.
Liv could hear him open the drawer of her nightstand and shivered. She had a good idea what Drew was up to and couldn’t wait. She could feel the flood of her excitement trickle and then felt the cool, round vibrator plunge into her. Lurching forward, Liv squealed. Drew’s hand came down on her ass hard. “I told you not to move!” Liv gripped the sheets tight, trying not to, but when he turned on the vibrator to high, her body jerked. The feeling of her thick vibrator buried inside her had her heart hammering in her chest. Oh, the glorious feeling.
Liv wiggled her ass, loving how the movement gave her a newfound pleasure. Another slap to her ass sent her juices flowing from the heat of the slap. That man knew how to please her fully. The vibrator began to move in and out while a cool squirt of lubricant hit her tiny asshole. Oh, yesss, Liv screamed inside. Drew’s finger circled her entrance, teasing. “Don’t tease, Drew!” she said and pushed back toward him, only to have her ass stinging from another slap. It wouldn’t be long, and she’d be seeing stars again. Her clit trembled, threatening to burst while her cunt squeezed tighter, waiting for the ultimate.
Drew’s finger entered her ass, and she squealed. She needed him to hurry. She was in a state of limbo, waiting. Two fingers began to stretch her, and she rocked, trying to goad him into action. His hand slapped her ass in retaliation. “I’ll fuck your ass when I’m ready.” Drew growled and removed his fingers. Liv whimpered, missing them.
Then, sweet heaven, she felt Drew’s cock nudging her ass. She relaxed her muscles and kept still. She needed him inside her now. He pushed slowly inside, and Liv felt her entrance stretch to accommodate him.
Drew hissed and pushed in a little more. She knew he was waiting for her to tell him she was okay.
“Liv, are you all right?” Drew asked as his dick continued to slide into her ass.
“Yess, oh yess.” Liv purred.
Drew’s cock finally pushed in completely, and he growled. “I love to fuck your ass, Liv,” he said and eased out and thrust back in. “Such a nice, tight, and beautiful ass.”
Liv struggled to stay coherent. She bit down on the comforter to keep from screaming. The fullness she felt combined with the vibrator buzzing in her cunt was overwhelmingly awesome. “Drew, I’m close. Fuck my ass hard.”
“Hell yeah!” Drew roared and pounded into her ass relentlessly. His balls slapped her pussy each time, nudging the vibrator into her cunt harder.
Liv screamed into the bed while Drew pounded into her ass, intermittently slapping her cheeks with his hand. Her release tore through her, and she gasped in a large breath and exploded. Drew followed. With his cock buried deep in her ass, he fell on top of Liv, pinning her body down underneath him. His body jerked and pumped the last of his seed into her ass while he nipped the soft flesh of her neck.
They both fought to regain their breath. Drew’s kissed Liv’s neck softly between each breath he struggled to get. She could feel his strong heartbeat against her back. It was fast, like he had run a marathon. Then Liv heard him chuckle. “What’s so humorous?” Liv smiled.
“I thought I was going to pass out.” Drew sighed and rolled off her and lay on his back. “I never came that hard in my life. I was so fucking turned on!” He looked over at Liv. “You, my dear, are amazing!” he said and pulled her close.
“You’re pretty amazing yourself, but every time with you feels new and exciting.” Liv smiled and traced her finger along his jaw. “Do you know how truly wonderful you really are?” Her eyes searched his sapphire depths, hoping that she had broken down his barriers.
Drew shook his head. His face seemed to blush, but Liv wasn’t about to call him on it. “Baby, as long as you think so, the whole world can just go to hell as far as I’m concerned.” His lips kissed hers softly as his hand stroked the hair away from her face. “Come on, I want to wash every inch of your body.” He smiled against her lips.

The shower was nice and hot and getting hotter the longer Drew watched Liv, with water streaming down her naked body, rippling over her erect nipples. He was a lucky, lucky man indeed. When Liv smiled at him, his heart melted. She had the most genuine smile that he had ever seen, and it was such a great feeling to know how she felt and know with certainty that she had an honest and pure soul. He’d always heard that everything happened for a reason, and now he was really beginning to understand the logic in that.
After the relaxing shower, Drew pulled Liv tight and kissed her neck softly, nuzzling and breathing in her sweet scent that drove him wild. “I was wondering, Liv,” he began. “What’s your favorite color?”
Liv giggled. “Seriously?”
“Yeah, I mean, I want to know what you like,” Drew said, being completely honest.
“You know what I like!” Liv teased.
“Yeah, in the bedroom I do!” Drew nipped lightly at her neck.

“Okay, my favorite color is blue. Anything else you’d like to know?” Liv asked, enjoying the fun.
“What was your first pet?”
“I had a dog. His name was Ralph.” Liv giggled.
“Poor dog.” Drew chuckled. “I bet he ran away in hopes of finding a new home and a better name.” Drew laughed. “So, when’s your birthday?”
“Hey, I thought Ralph was a cool name. There was a Western I watched once, and a cowboy had that name!” Liv snuggled closer. “Thinking about it now it is kind of goofy. I should have gone with ‘Titan’ or ‘Sparky.’” She felt him kiss her neck and his erection at her back. “Wow, ready again?”
“Umm, hmm.” Drew sucked her earlobe. “But there will be no more for you until you answer me.”
Liv sighed. “I’m not good with the whole birthday thing. I’ll be thirty this time around, and I feel that…I don’t know, maybe I feel I’m just getting old.”
“Honey, you don’t look a day over twenty-five!” Drew nudged against her ass. “You still didn’t answer me.”
“You’re a ruthless tease. No fair!” Liv reached around and grasped his dick, stroking him.
“I’m an oak, sweetheart.” Drew thrust into her hand.
“You’re impossible.
Fine, my birthday is”—Liv groaned—“it’s tomorrow.”
“You’re coming to the ranch tomorrow, and I’m going to—”
“No big deal, please.” Liv sighed. Getting older was no fun, and celebrating it was, well, accepting the arrival of yet another year. Thirty was a big deal. She had seen her first gray just the other day! Thirty also reminded her that her clock was ticking, and the chance of having her very own family to love and cherish in the way she had always wanted herself may not happen.
“Scout’s honor, but really, I want you there. Just a day without you there was…lonely,” Drew admitted, and Liv smiled.
“I miss it, too, but—” Liv started.
“No buts, just sleep on it,” Drew insisted.
“I can hardly sleep, with Mr. Happy poking me in the back.” Liv laughed.
“Let’s punish him!” Drew rolled Liv her over and kissed her.

A chance meeting had turned Drew’s outlook on life around completely in a matter of a week. Now he knew what Damon had been saying. He realized that what he had felt for Shay was nothing more than lust, a desire to obtain the unobtainable, and, in the process, do something that he knew would drive his father out of his mind eventually. God, he was glad that all the events that occurred a year ago had. If it weren’t for everything he had gone through he might not see just how wonderful Liv was. This week he was able to look past all the outer glamour and see deep inside a woman, and that was something he had never really done. In truth, he had needed what Shay had done to him to prepare him. He kissed Liv’s cheek and snuggled closer, feeling the weight of the world drift away. Now he felt content, at ease, and happy.
Chapter Eight
Drew woke up and felt Liv’s warm body snuggled against him. He couldn’t believe that he’d known her for a week and had feelings for her like he did. The thought of spending another night alone without her was, well, scary. What was crazy was that just over a year ago, he had sworn off women and jacked off to porn in order to keep his libido in check. Yeah, he was pathetic, but he was in preservation mode, he decided, and now? Well, now he cuddled with an angel that he had no plans of letting go.
Liv lightly moaned in her sleep, and Drew smiled. What was she dreaming about? Last night he slept peacefully for the first time recently. This morning he didn’t have the usual dread about starting the day. No, this morning he was happy, content, and looking forward to a new day. Could his dramatic shift be because of Liv forcing him to see himself, forgive himself, and admit what truly bothered him? It was unreal to think that Liv beating his ass and torturing him sexually coaxed out the demon, but she did.
Drew was grateful. He needed his ass beat and more. Liv had forced him to see clearly, to see himself as a man with faults and accept that he wasn’t perfect and never would be. He suppressed a chuckle. The little bombshell in his arms was quite amazing.

Liv felt Drew’s chest move and turned her head to look at him, and he was there looking down on her. “Why the big smile, cowboy?” She smiled herself because he looked so fantastic, grinning from ear to ear.
“Thank you,” Drew said.
Liv knew what he meant because she felt the same way so many years ago. Gosh, she had pulled it off. A single tear fled from her eye, and Drew wiped it away.
“What’s wrong, sweetheart?” Drew asked, his look turned to concern.
“I’m just happy!” Liv’s voice cracked.
“You women. I don’t know what to think. You’re backward. You’re supposed to cry when you’re sad and laugh and smile when you’re happy!” Drew just shook his head. Women were, indeed, quite a mystery.
Liv laughed. “I agree. I think our hormones make our wires cross, silly, I know,” she said and traced the planes of his face. “I love your smile.”
Drew grinned. “I’m glad. I think I’ll keep it for a very long time…now, in saying that, my smile might turn to a frown if you don’t come to the ranch today.”
Liv groaned. She wasn’t looking forward to a birthday celebration. “No big deal, really, I—”
Drew put his finger to her lips stopping her from talking. “No big deal, I promise.”
Liv looked up at Drew, knowing she couldn’t say no. She was just worried that when she got to the ranch, she wouldn’t want to leave again.

Drew had left Liv’s apartment that morning. Liv had told him that she needed to take care of some business, and she knew he had to take care of his morning chores at the ranch. She walked around her small apartment and sighed, knowing that she was at a turning point in her life. She was in love with Drew Radcliff. It was scary as hell to her. She never expected to love again, but she did, and it was more intense with Drew than with Brock. She supposed that she loved Brock because he had helped her out of a very dark place. Now she was giddy. She felt alive and excited about the future, but she worried. Would telling Drew how she truly felt scare him?
Liv didn’t expect a marriage proposal or anything like that. She just wanted to know that he felt the same or could feel the same at some point in time. Falling in love was terrifying for Liv and not because she thought she might get hurt but because the not knowing if Drew felt the same weighed on her. She sighed because her mind was her worst enemy.
The best thing to do now was take care of the bills that needed to be paid that had been sitting for a week. She smiled and thought after she took care of a tiny bit of business, she’d do a little shopping. After all, it was certain that she’d be staying at Drew’s tonight. Closing her eyes, she thought about how wonderful it felt to have him hold her while she slept and how wonderful it was to wake up to him smiling down on her. Feeling her heart beat steady and fast, her nervous fingers went to work on her laptop. She was ready to head to the ranch.

Drew had left Liv’s apartment in search of a couple of items. First and foremost, he wanted to find a cake for Liv. After hearing her admission last night, he was sure that she had never had a birthday worth remembering. It bothered him a lot that anyone could be so cruel to her. His heart ached thinking about her being beat by her own father and losing her mother to suicide. He thought he’d had it bad. It was in the past, though, and Liv had pushed through the hard times and seemed at peace with it now. It didn’t matter. He still wanted to show her that there were people that cared, especially him.
With a cake purchased, Drew thought and thought about what kind of gift to give her. He had already called Regan, letting her in on his plan. She had squealed with excitement and was already planning a dinner. Drew’s heart led the way as he drove through the weekend traffic. The bumper-to-bumper mess didn’t even seem to bother him. He just wished they’d get out of his way because he was a man on a mission.

Regan sat with Damon at the kitchen table while sipping a glass of sweet tea. She was overwhelmed with happy emotions, and Damon wiped a tear that fell. “You women, I swear. Your emotions are so messed up,” he said and smiled.
“I know it’s silly to be happy and cry at the same time, but Liv has broken through with Drew, and he called. Gosh, he was on cloud nine talking about giving her a birthday party. It was so sweet!” Regan gushed out quickly.
“I’ll be damned.” Damon smiled.
“I know, it’s surreal! I had hoped that Drew would like her, but never in my wildest dreams did I think he’d fall in love with her, but I know he has. I heard it in his voice!” Regan continued to ramble.
“Thank you, baby,” Damon said and kissed Regan softly. “You made this happen.”
Regan cried harder. “Damon, just think. We have Drew back, and I might end up with a sister! Can you imagine how wonderful it would be?”
Damon smiled. Yeah, he could imagine all right. He thought back to the first morning Liv had been in their kitchen with Regan. The two were giggling and cooking breakfast for him and Drew. It was wonderful to think that they all could create a happy family to
gether. His parents had let him and Drew down, but he could forgive that and instead build upon what he and Regan had started. “I can’t thank you enough, sweetheart, for giving me my brother back. I never thought this day would come and that it could be any more perfect…for all of us.”

Liv packed an overnight bag and smiled. Everything was looking up, life was positive, and the day was shaping up. The only worry she had was the feeling lodged in her heart. She loved Drew and wanted nothing more than to wake up with him every day. She was just scared, scared to offer her heart, not wanting to be the rebound girl. Stop being so negative. She glanced over her apartment one last time, turned her living room light off, and locked the door.
In her Jeep, Liv cranked up the radio, hearing an upbeat song. She belted out a verse and was glad she didn’t have an audience. She put on her sunglasses and headed for the interstate.

Drew entered the main house with a cake and a gift for Liv. Regan had already started cooking, and the smell made his stomach growl.
Regan came into the dining room and immediately hugged him. “Regan, sweetie, wait. Don’t smash the cake!” Drew hollered.
“Sorry, I’m just excited and happy!” Regan said and kissed Drew on the cheek.
Drew sat down the cake and the present for Liv and pulled Regan in a tight hug. “Thank you, Regan. Thank you for everything.”
Regan fanned her face as Drew released her, trying not to cry. “Stop it. You’re making me emotional, Drew!” she said and looked up at him.
