“Looking good,” Bray said with lust.

Calista turned around and saw her handsome husband and rushed over to give him a kiss. “Hi baby. How was your flight?”

  “Good. Happy to be home.”

“Congratulations on the game. I made a special dinner to celebrate. It’ll be ready in about ten minutes.” Calista said.

“Alright baby. I’ll unpack and get ready,” Bray said. He found his luggage and took it to the bedroom to start putting his belongings in their proper places. He was still in a daze about the Solomon/Richard incident. Bray assured Solomon that his secret was safe. However, Bray did make sure to lay down some healthy boundaries so history would not repeat itself.

Bray gathered all of his dirty clothes and put them in the laundry room. He was right on schedule because dinner was ready. Bray went into the dining room and found a seat at the table. The meal that was prepared was corn, sweet peas, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Bray gave his wife a kiss before she took a seat next to him and they started to dig in.

“That was a great game,” Calista said.

“Thanks baby,” Bray said and took a bite out of his chicken. “Good food baby. You hooked it up!”

  “Thanks I try,” Calista blushed.

“You do more than try baby,” Bray said. “How was work today?”

“It was okay,” Calista answered. “I was ‘passing out’ flu shots like it was Halloween candy all day it seemed.” As they were enjoying their food, Calista was able to sense a strange vibe from Bray. Like something was on his mind. “Are you okay, Bray?”

“Huh? Oh, everything is cool. Just something on my mind,” Bray shook his head. Mainly trying to get that image he walked in on out of his mind.

“Still creeped out about walking in on Solomon and Richard, huh?” Calista guessed.

Bray almost choked on his food when he heard Calista’s statement. “How did you know that?”

“Richard told me,” Calista answered. “We have become the best of friends.”

Bray couldn’t believe this. “Wait a minute. I’m just finding out about this, but how long have you known about it?”

“Since the party at Aunt Skyla and Uncle Max’s. You remember when Richard left in a huff after Solomon announced that he wasn’t retiring anytime soon?” Calista recapped.

“Yeah, I remember,” Bray said. “I was wondering what his deal was.”

“I know why,” Calista said. “That’s how I found out about them. I overheard them arguing.”

  “What were they arguing about?”

  *****

Calista and Bray were having a great time at the party. They were all snuggled up on the couch enjoying their newlywed bliss. “I love you baby.” Calista said.

“I love you Doc,” Bray said.

  “Awe, how cute!” Skyla interrupted.

“Hi, Aunt Sky,” Bray and Calista greeted.

“My little Bugs Bunny is now a married man!” Skyla gave Bray a big hug. She turned to Calista and asked. “You taking good care of him, right?”

“Of course,” Calista answered and gave her new aunt a hug.

“Damn, we’re starting to run low on wine,” Skyla said out loud. “I think we need to open at least three more bottles.”

  “I’ll get some,” Calista volunteered.

“Thanks sweetheart. The wine cellar is downstairs next to the basement,” Skyla said.

“All right,” Calista kissed Bray and said, “I’ll be right back.”

“Girl, we’re not in a horror movie,” Bray joked and they both laughed.

“Boy, stop!” Calista laughed before heading downstairs to the wine cellar.

It took a while but Calista managed to find the cellar. She was about to go inside when she heard some muffled voices. At first she thought it was a couple who snuck away to get their freak on, but then she realized those voices sounded more like two people arguing.

Calista let curiosity get the better of her and headed for the basement. As she was getting closer to the basement door, Calista was able to recognize the voices very clearly. It was Solomon and Richard. Their argument was so intense that they didn’t notice Calista cracking the door open slightly to peak inside. Calista knew she shouldn’t be listening to their private conversation but for some hard to explain reason she couldn’t turn away.

“Richie, why are you acting like this?” Solomon asked.

“Nigga don’t you fucking call me that!” Richard snapped. Solomon definitely knew now that Richard was very pissed when he starts using the word ‘nigga’, doubling up on his profanity usage and doesn’t want to be called Richie. “We’re not in the fucking bedroom and I’m not your secret boy toy!”

  They’re lovers! Calista thought.

“Is that what you think? That I’m using you? You know I love you Richie.” Solomon pleaded.

“Your ass got a funny way of showing it. I thought we agreed that this was going to be your last year playing and afterwards you were going to come out....unless you’re ashamed of me?” Richard accused.

“Richie, you know that’s not true.” Solomon insisted. “Besides, I never told you I was retiring. I told you I was thinking about it.”

Richard rolled his eyes and sighed. “I’m sick of this fucking charade. You paying off actors to pretend to be your entourage so I can ‘blend in’. For once, I would like to have a date out in public with just the two of us.”

“You know why we can’t do that.”

“Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! You don’t want to lose your football contract and endorsements if word got out that you’re a faggot, I know.” Richard recapped. “If its money you’re worried about, you know my family is loaded.”

  “With blood money,” Solomon mumbled.

“What did you say?” Obviously, Richard heard Solomon’s comment.

“We don’t need help from your dope slinging brother.”

“Excuse me? Carter is a good and loyal guy, at least to me. He’s always been there for me especially after our father died.” Richard defended. Carter is Richard’s big brother who inherited Carter Sr.’s highly successful drug cartel. “That was a very low blow. Besides Carter says he’s going legit pretty soon.”

“No offense, but how long has Carter been feeding you that bullshit ass lie?” Solomon asked.

“I don’t know. Probably as long as you’ve been feeding me that bullshit ass lie about coming out.” Richard shot back.

Touché! Calista silently applauded Richard. Calista was starting to like him. He was one bold dude and refused to back down. You go boy!

“Richie, do you remember what my biggest dream was?” Solomon asked.

“To win the Super Bowl,” Richard answered.

“That’s what I want Richie. This is supposed to be our year, especially with Bray at starting quarterback. You know that young nigga is a beast on the field,” Solomon said.

Richard nodded in agreement. “That would be nice, but sometimes I think you love football more than me.”

“I wish you would stop thinking that,” Solomon said.

“And I wish you would stop putting down my brother,” Richard said.

  “I was just stating facts.”

  “So was I.”

Solomon cut his eyes at Richard. “Oh I don’t care about you, huh? I don’t love you, huh?” Out of nowhere Solomon pulled Richard into his arms and gave him a wild hot passionate kiss.

The kiss continued until Calista fully opened the door and cleared her throat in order to make herself be known. “Hello,” She greeted and the couple had the look of horror on their faces. “Are you enjoying the party?” Calista asked in order to make conversation. She wanted to assure them that their secret is safe with her.

“Yes we are,” Solomon said. “Bray’s aunt and uncle have a very nice house.”

“Yes, they do,” Calista agreed. “Good luck this season.”

“Thanks,” Solomon said with a smile.

“I didn’t mean to disturb you
but I was getting some wine from the cellar and got side tracked by the arguing,” Calista apologized.

  “That’s no problem,” Richard said.

“Richard, would you like to help me pick out the wine?” Calista asked.

“Sure!” Richard said and followed Calista to the wine cellar and Solomon went back to the party. “What a collection,” Richard said with a smile.

“I see that,” Calista said. Richard made a few suggestions and found some bags that were used to carry wine bottles. He and Calista got four of the bags and started filling them up. “Thanks, Richard.”

“No problem,” Richard said. “Also on behalf of me and Solomon, thanks.”

“Of course. No problem,” Calista said. “And Richard, if you ever need anyone to talk to about anything. I’m here if you need a friend.” Calista could tell that behind the smile, boldness and charm there was a tortured soul trying to get out. She wanted to help in any way that she could.

Richard was touched by Calista’s words and offering of friendship he jumped into Calista’s arms and cried like a baby. Calista whispered in Richard’s ear. “That’s okay. You’re not alone. Not anymore.”

  *****

“It all makes sense now,” Bray said when Calista wrapped up the story. “Solomon wants that Super Bowl ring bad.” Calista nodded in silence. “In that case, I’m going to do my best to make it happen this season. That way he can retire and he and Richard can be free.”

“That’s sweet,” Calista responded. “Crazy, but sweet.”

Bray was amazed by Calista’s sense of loyalty and kind sweet nature. Everyday Bray is reminded why he fell in love and married her. What Calista did for Richard was Bray’s reminder for the day. “Did I ever tell you that you are the most amazing and beautiful wife in the world?” Bray asked with a smile and reached for Calista’s hand.

“You’ve told me on a couple of occasions,” Calista said with playful sarcasm and smiled. “And did I ever tell you that you were the most amazing and handsome husband in the world?”

“I think you mentioned it a few times,” Bray shared the same playful sarcasm and the couple shared a giggle.

“And amazing handsome husbands deserve sweet special rewards.” Calista said with seduction and got out of her seat to walk towards Bray.

“And what would that be?” Bray asked with intrigue.

Calista didn’t say anything. She just gave a wicked grin and sat on Bray’s lap with her legs apart facing him. Bray reached under Calista’s dress and saw that she was wearing nothing underneath. “Damn girl! How long you’ve been waiting for me?” Bray whispered and grabbed a handful of Calista’s bare ass.

Calista pulled Bray’s dick out of his sweatpants and replied, “Long enough.”

Calista quickly shoved Bray’s dick inside her pussy and started straddling him. “Shit!” Bray managed to moan out as he let Calista cover his dick with her natural juices and tight pussy. Bray’s hands gripped onto Calista’s ass nice and tight for dear life as she rode him.

“Ah!” Calista moaned and took off Bray’s shirt to expose his sexy bare chest and started sucking on his neck. Then she slipped her tongue in Bray’s mouth and continued to bust nuts all over his dick.

Bray lowered the straps of Calista’s dress so he could expose those nice beautiful perky titties of hers. He put one in his mouth and sucked on the nipple until a loud thumping noise coming from outside interrupted their sex session. “What was that?” Calista asked as she and Bray jumped out of the chair.

“I don’t know but I’ll take a quick look,” Bray said.

“Be careful,” Calista said with concern.

“Don’t worry I will Doc,” Bray said and kissed Calista. “Just go to the bedroom and wait for me.” Bray gave a wink and patted Calista on the booty.

“Okay,” Calista said with a smile.

Bray went outside to take a peek, but no one was there and no items or furniture seemed to be tampered with. Nothing out of the ordinary. “Maybe it was some kids passing by clowning around, or someone’s dog or cat,” Bray said to himself and went back in the house and closed the door. He looked down and saw Calista’s dress lying on the floor. The anticipation of what was in store for him in the bedroom made Bray’s dick hard as a rock. He Sonic-dashed to the bedroom unaware of the presence of an unwanted admirer peaking into the bedroom window impatiently waiting for round two to start.

  Chapter Eight

The last couple of weeks in Opal’s life have become a real rollercoaster ride. From starting her new job at Clover’s bakery to dealing with Wallace’s return. She couldn’t grasp her head around it. I have to pinch myself to see if this is real. Ouch! Opal thought to herself. She looked to her left and there was Wallace still asleep in her bed.

So this isn’t a dream. He’s really here. Opal got out of bed to stretch and freshen up a bit to fix breakfast.

“Where are you going?” Wallace asked with a yawn as he started to wake up.

  “To freshen up,” Opal answered.

“Well, hurry up! I’m hungry!” He rudely demanded.

“Then go and fix you something to eat,” Opal said with an attitude.

“Oh, you sassy now? Since when did this shit start?” Wallace asked her.

“Whatever, I do not have time for this,” Opal said. Never mess with someone who just woke up out of their sleep. Wallace didn’t care, for all he knew, she better not talk to him like that.

She must have forgotten who the fuck she’s dealing with. Wallace thought. “Do you want to run that by me real quick?” He said walking up to the bathroom door.

He startled Opal and all she wanted to do is freshen up and cook breakfast because she was starving. “Nothing, nothing at all. I’m just hungry and ready to eat, that’s all,” Opal said with a defeating sigh.

“Oh, okay. Better check yourself. I didn’t come back to argue with you. I want to make things right since I was gone, and you want to start.” Wallace went back to the bed and laid back down.

“You know I want a fresh start too, but how do you expect me to act after you disappeared on me for three years. What you want me to say?” Opal rhetorically asked heading out the door to the kitchen. Wallace shook his head and turned over to go back to sleep.

I’m glad he’s back. I really am but what’s a girl to do? I love him and love will make you do some crazy things. Opal thought. This is his way of showing me he loves me and it may not be right to some people but to me this is his love. I just have to watch what I say, how I say it, and when I say it.

Opal finished cooking breakfast and put Wallace’s plate in the microwave so whenever he gets up he can eat it. I guess I’ll watch something on TV.

“I wonder what’s on?” Opal said aloud. “Oh Love and Hip Hop has a marathon. That’ll do.”

Opal was deep in the show when she heard loud footsteps approaching. She hopped up and headed to the kitchen to get Wallace’s plate out of the microwave and put it on the table for him.

“I hope you cooked my food and quit all that playing with your over emotional fat ass.” Wallace snapped. Opal stared at him for a long period of time and washed her dishes and headed back to the living room to continue watching TV.

Why is he always talking down to you? You deserve better than that. Opal heard her conscious inside of her. You need to stand up for yourself. Don’t let this man come back into your life and pick up where he left off like nothing happened. Opal ignored everything her gut was telling her and continued to watch TV. We all want that love we never had when we were younger, but if that type of love comes with being talked down and degraded then that’s not love at all.

Fifteen minutes has gone by before Wallace got up and sat by Opal while her eyes stay glued to the TV. Deep down she didn’t know what was going to happen. Wallace was pretty unpredictable. It’s like he has two sides, so she thought.

“Aye, look, I know things have changed since the last time we’ve seen each other. I’m sorry about what I sa
id earlier. I’ll admit my wrongs, which you should too. We can make things happen and change for the better, so we can live a better life.” Wallace said to Opal. “Check this out. I have a plan that can make things change for the both of us. Are you down?” Opal didn’t know what to think from the first time he opened his mouth. She didn’t know if she should just get up and go, or sit and listen. If she moved she knew that Wallace would get up and follow her or say something totally disrespectful. Besides, she was curious about this so-called plan of his.

“What is this plan of yours consists of, first?” She asked.

Wallace began to explain, “Alright, baby, here is the plan. You know your sister Clover got that insurance company with her bakery? Well, without telling her or letting her know, I want you to switch it with mines. While I was away, I was building my insurance company and I did well for a while, but I know if we could get Clover’s business on board then we’ll be good to go. I can offer her twice as much money than the company she’s with now, baby.” Wallace’s wheels were turning in his head. This was all a part of his plan.

Opal was confused, “But, why do you want me to switch Clover’s business insurance without telling her? Why do you even want to do that?”

“I want to do something nice and start all over. I was a jerk and I want to make it up to her and show you I have changed, since one day she is going to be my sister-in-law. That’s if you still want to be with me.” Wallace pleaded his case with sincerity in his voice.

“Of course, I want to. You know I love you. I just want for you to stop disrespecting me and stop running away when things get tough and communicate with me, that’s all.” Opal pleaded with desperation while holding Wallace’s hands.

“I know baby, I am sorry for letting my pride stop me from talking to you. I had to clear my head, which took longer than expected, but it all worked out because of my insurance company. Things could be coming around, if you do your part of the plan.” He mentioned that part to her again.
